Nitro Wrestling 8.44 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the second round of the Sandow Cup. JR says they’ll stay out of the way and let the matches speak for themselves.
1. King Kong Bundy vs Ted DiBiase Bundy unloads on DiBIase at the bell. DiBiase dodges an Avalanche attempt and Bundy tumbles to the outside. DiBiase wears Bundy down with a sleeper. DiBiase hits a neckbreaker drop for a two count. DiBiase locks on the figure four but can’t get Bundy to tap. DiBiase hits a middle rope elbow for the win.
Winner - Ted DiBiase by pinfall. DiBiase goes to the finals. JR mentions that DiBiase went to the finals of the Sandow Cup two years ago, only to lose to Vader.
2. Hiro Matsuda vs. Bad News Allen Bad News mauls Matsuda at the bell and hits the jumping leg drop for a two count. Bad News and Matsuda brawl all over the outside. Bad News hits a running power slam for a two count. Bad News nails Matsuda with a Ghetto Blaster for the win.
Winner - Bad News Allen. Allen will take on Ted DiBiase in the finals.
3. Kevin Sullivan vs. Bob Cook Sullivan ambushes Cook and hits the piledriver but Cook gets his foot on the ropes. Cook makes a comeback but Sullivan shuts him down and nails him with a foreign object. Sullivan hits a piledriver for the win.
Winner - Kevin Sullivan by pinfall
After the match, Sullivan gouges Cook with a foreign object. The lights go off and there is a flash of fire. When they come back on, Eddie Gilbert is standing over Sullivan. Gilbert puts the boots to Sullivan until security pulls him off. Once order is restored, JR introduces the Sandow Cup finals.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. Bad News Allen DiBiase starts strong but Bad News shuts him down with a clothesline. Bad News hits a running power slam for a two count. Bad News and DiBiase brawl outside the ring. DiBiase comes out on top and nails Bad News with the loaded glove for a two count. Bad News makes a comeback but can’t hold the momentum. DiBiase hits a neckbreaker drop for a two count. Bad News makes a comeback and hits a clothesline for a two count. Bad News and DiBiase battle back and forth. DiBiase hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBiase locks on the figure four but Bad News fights his way to the ropes. DiBiase hits another power slam for the win.

Nitro Wrestling 8.45 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Paul Orndorff vs. Ted DiBiase for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. JR announces that Mike Graham, The Crusher, and Steve Keirn have left the territory and Blackjack Mulligan and Doug Gilbert are on medical leave. However, Barry Windham is stepping in to take his father’s bookings. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Eddie Gilbert vs. Mr X Gilbert toys with Mr X and hits a DDT for a two count. Gilbert hits the Hot Shot for the win.
Winner - Eddie Gilbert by pinfall
After the match, Gilbert gets on the mic and says Vampiro and Kevin Sullivan are going to pay for what they did to his brother. When you play with fire, you get burned. JR introduces the next match.
2. Barry Windham vs. Andrew Anderson Anderson attacks Windham before the bell. Anderson hits the thumb jab to the throat and rolls Windham up with a handful of tights for the win.

After the match, Maha Singh hits the ring and the two Followers attack Windham until Eddie Gilbert makes the save. Douglas says he doesn’t trust Gilbert. JR introduces the next match.
3. Missing Link vs. Wahoo McDaniel Link and Wahoo battle all over the ring area, head butts vs. chops. Wahoo hits the vertical suplex for a two count. Wahoo hits a tomahawk chop for a two count. Wahoo hits a second tomahawk chop but can’t put Link away. Wahoo hits a falling chop for a two count. Link makes a comeback but Wahoo nails him with overhead chops and hits another tomahawk chop for the win.

JR says Wahoo is headed for the top. Douglas introduces the next match.
4. Bad News Allen vs. Masa Saito Bad News mauls Saito and hits the Ghetto Blaster but Saito gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Bad News hits the Elbow Drop to the throat for the win.

After the match, Bad News gets on the mic and challenges the winner of tonight’s main event. JR says Bad News is in the middle of a career making run. Douglas introduces the next match.
5. Eddie Graham vs. One Man Gang Gang mauls Graham. Graham rolls One Man Gang up in a small package for a two count. Graham stomps Gang to the mat and covers him for a two count. Graham locks on the figure four and Gang taps out.

Douglas says that was a huge win by Eddie Graham. JR introduces the main event.
6. Paul Orndorff with Bobby Heenan vs. Ted DiBiase - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match Orndorff and DiBiase come out throwing bombs. DiBiase gets the momentum and nails Orndorff with the loaded glove for a two count. DiBiase nails Orndorff with the loaded glove a second time but Orndorff gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Orndorff makes a comeback and hits a stalling vertical suplex for a two count. Orndorff hits a forearm drop for a two count. Orndorff and DiBiase battle back and forth. Orndorff clobbers DiBiase with a short arm clothesline and covers him for the three count.
Winner - Paul Orndorff by pinfall, his sixth title defense, tying Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase and just one defense away from the Jim Londos benchmark.
After the match, Orndorff gets on the mic and says he’ll be happy to beat Bad News again and prove he’s the best champion Nitro Wrestling has ever had.

1. Kevin Sullivan vs. Mr X Mr X gets in some offense. Sullivan works him over with the golden spike and hits the piledriver for the win.

Kevin Sullivan gets on the mic after the match and says Abudadein has guided him from the far realm and soon The Following will increase in number and drown the world. JR introduces the next match.
2. Angelo Mosca vs. Ted DiBiase Mosca and DiBiase battle back and forth. Douglas says DiBiase let himself get sidelined by The Following and needs to get back on track. Mosca hits an elbow drop for a two count. DiBiase makes a comeback and hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBiase hits a second full power slam for a two count. 4. Eddie Gilbert & Barry Windham vs. Andrew Anderson & Maha Singh with Kevin Sullivan Windham and Maha Singh start the match. Windham and Maha Singh quickly end up brawling on the outside. Maha Singh hits a falling chop for a two count and tags in Anderson. Anderson hits a swinging neckbreaker. Kevin Sullivan distracts Eddie Gilbert while the referee makes the three count.

JR says a big six man main event has been signed for next week - Ted DiBiase, Barry Windham, and Eddie Gilbert vs. Kevin Sullivan, Vampiro, and One Man Gang. Shane Douglas says King Kong Bundy and Masa Saito have left the territory, leaving Bobby Heenan with just Paul Orndorff. JR introduces the first match.
1. Cuban Assassin vs. Bob Cook Cuban Assassin and Bob Cook battle back and forth. Assassin hits the falling head butt for a two count. Fidel hits a second falling head butt for a two count. Fidel hits a piledriver for a two count. The Cuban Assassin hits Fidel’s Backbreaker for the win.

Nitro Wrestling 8.48 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Ted DiBiase, Barry Windham, and Eddie Gilbert vs. Kevin Sullivan, Vampiro, and One Man Gang. Shane Douglas announces that Paul Orndorff has signed to defend the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title against Wahoo McDaniel next week. JR introduces the first match.
1. Jim Londos vs. Bob Cook Cook gets in some offense at the bell. Londos hits the crotch lift and slam and locks on the standing toehold but Cook fights his way to the ropes. Londos wears Cook down with the short arm scissors and hits the fireman’s carry slam. Londos hits another fireman’s carry slam. Londos hits two more fireman’s carry slams. Londos locks on the standing toehold and Cook taps out.

Douglas says Jim Londos is the standard people measure against and it must eat him alive that it’s been seven years since he has held the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. JR introduces the next match.

1. Bobby Shane vs. Mark Fleming Shane and Fleming battle back and forth. Fleming wears down Shane with the STF. Fleming locks on the Boston Crab but Shane fights to the ropes. Fleming locks on the STF again but Shane is able to reach the ropes. Fleming beats up Shane outside the ring and Shane is counted out.
