Nitro Wrestling 9.10 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Paul Orndorff vs. Stan Hansen for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. If Orndorff wins, he will tie Harley Race’s record of 15 successful defenses. JR introduces the first match. 1. Kevin Sullivan vs. Mark Fleming Fleming gets the early advantage and locks Sullivan in the STF, wearing him down. Sullivan and Fleming battle back and forth. Sullivan bloodies Fleming with the golden spike and hits a released gut wrench for a two count. Sullivan goes to the spike a second time and hits the Tree of Woe for the win.

JR says needs to put a stop to Sullivan’s antics. Douglas introduces the next match.

Orndorff gets the advantage and hits a piledriver for a two count. Orndorff and Hansen battle back and forth. Orndorff rolls Hansen up after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Orndorff and Hansen battle back and forth. Hansen nails Orndorff with a lariat but Orndorff kicks out. Hansen and Orndorff battle outside the ring. Hansen nails Orndorff with another lariat but Bobby Heenan jumps up on the apron, distracting the referee. Hansen knocks Heenan off the apron. Douglas reminds fans that the Ryder Cup starts in just four weeks. JR says Paul Orndorff won the Ryder Cup last year and went on to win the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Lou Thesz vs. Maha Singh Maha Singh gets in some offense but Thesz rolls him up in a small package for a two count. Thesz locks on the double wristlock, wearing Singh down. Thesz hits the Greco-Roman Backdrop for the win.

Note - I've got through the end of year 9 written up so I'll be posting a few cards a day until I reach the end. After that, Nitro Wrestling is going on hiatus until after the High Plains Wrestling experiment is over.

Nitro Wrestling 9.13 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Paul Orndorff & Nick Bockwinkel vs. Barry Windham & Eddie Graham. Douglas reminds the fans that the Ryder Cup starts in two weeks and introduces the first match.
1. Dynamite Kid vs. Cuban Assassin Dynamite tears into Cuban Assassin at the bell. Assassin makes a comeback and hits Fidel’s backbreaker for a two count. Fidel hits a back suplex for a two count and another Fidel’s backbreaker but Dynamite gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Dynamite makes an explosive comeback and hits the diving head butt for a two count. Dynamite hits a second diving head butt for the win.

1. Barry Windham vs. Angelo Mosca Windham gets the early advantage and wears Mosca down with a sleeper. Windham hits the Sweetwater Superplex for a two count. The match spills out of the ring and Mosca comes out on top. Mosca nails Windham with an elbow smash to the face and covers him for a two count. Mosca locks on the sleeper but Windham fights him off. Mosca hits a tackle in the corner for a two count. Windham makes a comeback and clamps on the Blackjack Claw but Mosca fights his way to the ropes. Windham goes to the top and hits the flying body press for the win.
