Nitro Wrestling 9.16 Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the second half of the first round of the Ryder Cup and go right to the action.
1. Stan Hansen vs. Larry Zbyszko Zbyszko and Hansen battle back and forth. Hansen nails Zbyszko with a lariat but Zbyszko gets his foot on the ropes. Hansen wears down Zbyszko with the Brazos Valley Backbreaker. Hansen hits the slingshot elbow drop for a two count. Hansen drills Zbyszko with another lariat but Zbyszko gets his foot on the ropes. Windham goes to the top but Matsuda throws him to the mat and locks on the Indian Deathlock. WIndham fights him off. Matsuda locks on the sleeper but Windham backs him into the corner to break the hold. Windham makes a comeback and hits the lariat for a two count. Windham hits a second lariat for the win.

2. Eddie Graham vs. Dynamite Kid Graham and Dynamite battle back and forth. Graham takes Dynamite down and locks on the figure four but Dynamite fights his way to the ropes. Dynamite makes a comeback and hits the diving head butt for a two count. Graham comes back and hits a diving knee drop for a two count. Graham hits the atomic knee drop but can’t put Dynamite away. 1. Dynamite Kid vs. Rip Rogers Rogers attacks Dynamite before the bell and goes to work on his lower back. Rogers locks on the Boston Crab but Dynamite fights his way to the ropes. Dynamite makes a comeback and hits a gut wrench suplex for a two count. Dynamite and Rogers battle back and forth. Dynamite hits a tombstone piledriver for a two count. Dynamite hits a diving head butt but Rogers gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Dynamite hits a second diving head butt for the win.

Nitro Wrestling 9.24 The show opens with Lou Thesz in the ring. Thesz says he came up short the first time he challenged Paul Orndorff for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title but knows he’ll win if they wrestle again. Eddie Graham interrupts Thesz and says he deserves a title shot as much as Thesz does. Thesz says he’ll wrestle Graham again and beat him like he did in the finals of the Ryder Cup. Bobby Heenan interrupts and says neither of them have a chance to beat Mr. Wonderful for the gold and Paul Orndorff & Nick Bockwinkel will prove it tonight in a tag team match. Thesz and Graham agree.
The show goes to commercial break. When it returns, JR and The Franchise welcome the fans to the show and hype the newly signed main event, Lou Thesz & Eddie Graham vs. Paul Orndorff & Nick Bockwinkel.
1. Mark Fleming vs. Scott Casey Fleming overpowers Casey at the bell. Fleming hits a double arm suplex for a two count. Casey makes a comeback and hits a bulldog for a two count. Fleming makes a comeback and hits a belly to belly suplex for a two count. Fleming locks on the STF and Casey taps out.

JR says Fleming is two wins into a streak. Douglas introduces the next match.
