Thanks for the suggestion. As far as Monsoon that was his last Survivor as he was replaced with Vince the next year. While I always felt that Monsoon was the better play-by-play man nobody, and I mean NOBODY, could hype up a PPV like Vince. Skip ahead to the 5:00 minute mark of the video below for his EPIC intro to Wrestlemania 6; No matter how many times I watch it it still gives me goosebumps every time, although Jim Johnston's classic "Grand Spectacle" theme definitely helps too.

I picked up the first 10 Survivor Series on DVD because I wanted to watch them and because they were practically free as I just used my Hilton points to buy it on Amazon. Not one cent was spent, just points. While watching the 91 from Detroit, the one I went to and my first wrestling show live, Gorilla Monsoon made a big mistake. I do not know if he just missed it and maybe it was a sign he was getting old or if he was instructed to play it that way. In one match Shawn Michaels was pinned and got mad at Marty after because Marty accidently hit Shawn with the feet of the guy Marty lifted for a body slam. As Shawn left the ring side due to being pinned Monsoon made it seem Shawn was just leaving his partner and was counted out. Maybe Monsoon had to play it that way to help build toward the eventual breakup but if not he really botched the call on that one. That's cool that you were at that Survivor Series. Do you have any major memories of the event? Do you remember what the atmosphere was like in the arena after Undertaker beat Hogan for the belt?

I am going to see The Bikeriders when it gets rehearsed next week on Thursday night. I asked my friend Ofi (Willie Mack’s former girlfriend) if she wanted to go with me and she said yes.

That was a favorite of my mom's as I was growing up. I remember Barney, Fish and the station room and that is about it lol.

Agreed that Molson Canadian wasn't good, but I drank Molson Golden in 1998-1999 and that was tasty. I don't think I could handle it now though. I never tried Molson Gold but Molson Export is also quite good.

In regards to beer, I remember drinking Labatt's when I was last in Buffalo for Galacticon in 2018. I have not had Labatt's since 2018 and I plan to stay away from it when I return to Buffalo later this month. Canada has some great things that I like such as poutine, but Labatt's is just not the beer for me personally. Yeah, Labatt's isn't very good. For Canadian beer I've found you usually need to go with a microbrewery if you're looking for quality; The Granville Island Brewing Company here in Vancouver makes excellent beer! Despite being Canadian I've never been a fan of poutine. Everyone I mention this to looks at me like I have two heads. I don't like cheese curds or gravy so that makes the dish difficult for me to enjoy. I think I'm also the only person in this country who doesn't like The Tragically Hip. Not to speak ill of the dead but the lead singer Gord Downie's voice grates on my nerves.

I remember seeing an Undertaker look alike in the area between the parking and the arena. Dressed up and all that. There was the guy that looked like Hogan in the face and dressed like him sitting in the first row. A year or two later I met him as he drove an ice cream truck in the area I lived. I know the place was loud but cannot remember the reaction, of me or the crowd, when Hogan lost. I do remember seeing Flair come down and wondering what he was doing there. It all was new experience for me. I was 20 at the time and it was my first time driving from my small town on the outskirts of the Metro Detroit area to the downtown area. I remember getting a bit lost when we left and I told everyone to roll up the windows until we got back on the highway lol.

With it being Father's Day today this commercial from a few years ago popped into my head. While kind of corny it's still very touching. Great moms are frequently celebrated but I feel like great dads don't get anywhere near the credit they deserve. Happy Father's Day to all the dads on the board! www.ispot.tv/ad/7Qku/whirlpool-dad-and-andy-song-by-johnny-cash
