T Hee is actually the guy's legitimate name. They covered it in the Disney Vault book. His first name is Thornton so probably combined with his job he figured just go with the first letter.

While there hasn't been much movie-wise that's caught my interest this summer I had the urge to go to the movies today. After mulling my options I decided on Twisters.
For a summer, special effects-driven film it was what I expected it to be: It was entertaining without insulting my intelligence. The visual effects were great and I thought the two leads had good chemistry with each other. I wouldn't rush out to see it again but the movie did its job by keeping me entertained for two hours.
SPOILER WARNING: DISCUSSION OF A MAJOR PLOT POINT AHEAD!!:
I've clearly seen too many of the Final Destination movies. Towards the end of Twisters when the giant tornado is threatening the small town there's a scene in the movie theatre where one of the characters is hanging on for dear life. Thankfully for her the lead character's fancy contraption works in the nick of time and causes the tornado to dissipate before she gets sucked into it. As she's breathing a sigh of relief now that she's safe I kept waiting for a giant piece of debris to fall from the sky and crush her to death as some sort of cruel joke by Mother Nature. While it didn't happen I have to admit it probably would have got a dark laugh out of me if it had.
And, yes, I do realize that I'm probably going to hell for that.

Nah you are not going to hell. Well at least not for that. It is a movie character. I see where you are coming from on that. Heck it is not even a FD thing. Often movies do that "Dusty finish" on characters in horror movies. Character feels they survived only to have something happen right after. Be it a blade coming thru their stomach or a shark jumping up and eating them or a piece of falling debris.

yeah, I thought Twisters was good
I see that The Crow remake getting released this weekend was apparently not even screened in advance for critics, a bad sign for an unnecessary remake of a great movie.

I think Tombstone is the one of the only films not screened in advance for critics that went on to receive good reviews.

Today is World Folklore Day. I wonder if Tom is busy getting info for the next Myth Worlds set.

Today is Mary Shelley's birthday. So, Happy Birthday to Mary, wherever her reanimated corpse might be.

I have not seen the new Alien movie yet and not sure when I will seeing I am back to working 7 days a week. But I have an issue with the lead. Not that she is a she because this is Alien. It seems fitting. No, my issue is with the character bio. Rey, er I mean Rain, is an orphaned scavenger, er I mean miner that reminds me a bit of someone if you catch my drift. Just feels a bit lazy and they should have tried to mix things up a bit more IMO.
