32 miles or so from where I work and live a person died when a road sign fell on their car. It was blown down by high winds from the hurricane.

tonight I bought a ticket to see Joker: Folie à Deux next Thursday night when it first gets released.
I have concert ticket that weekend's Saturday and Sunday and possibly a UNLV game ticket that Friday (vs Syracuse at Allegiant) and I need to see the movie before my 10th graders likely SPOIL it following the weekend lol so I got a ticket for the Thursday night it premieres.

Sounds like Helene is going to be a dangerous storm. Stay safe, my friend. It was, and probably still is, but it has long passed Florida. Last I heard officials are saying 30+ deaths credited to the storm. One of the craziest scenes I saw on the news last night when I got home from work was a street in a town somewhere that was flooded, police traveling by boat and one of the homes was on fire. I mean imagine your house is on fire while surrounded by lots of water. Crazy. Fire department had a few calls of fires they could not get too due to water. Another shot showed a downtown area flooded and a wooden pallet just floating down the street. Thank you, I am safe. It is why I live inland. I would rather have to drive an hour to an hour and a half to get to the beach then put up with things like this. The saving grace is the storm stayed out in the gulf and did not make landfall until way north of Tampa. It would have been VERY bad if it had turned and slammed into Tampa. It was a Cat 4 I believe but either way winds were over a 100 mph. The damage done along the coast near me was just storm surge, the water being pushed up onto land. It was anywhere from 6-8 feet beyond normal levels. People down here are saying they have lived in their homes for a decade or two and never seen flooding like they did after this storm.

Last night while flipping channels I came across Ender's Game. It had just started so I ended up watching it while playing on my phone. It was an enjoyable movie. I just found it cool they got a young Eminem to play the lead. Later on I caught the ending of Inseminoid. It might be the perfect movie. As in, the action was perfectly awful, the script was perfectly moronic and the editing was perfectly amateurish. Seriously, what I saw of the movie was laughable. I am not sure if MST3K ever viewed this movie but if not they really sure. It is ripe for mocking from them.

Good God help us. Trump wants to base a program to deal with crime based on The Purge. Not surprising. He wanted to deal with hurricanes based on what he saw in Armageddon.

I've always believed that it's important to be able to laugh at one's self and I just had such a circumstance arise a few minutes ago at work.
In between customers I was typing up the invoice for a delivery order of two bottles of wine. I thought I had finished the data entry for the first bottle when I got a customer. I finished serving them and went back to the invoice. Thinking I was done entering in the first bottle I typed in the item code for the second bottle which was 399410. However, as I soon discovered I HADN'T finished with the first bottle and the 399410 I typed in went into the quantity category for bottle #1 which brought the total bill to $5.79 Million Dollars.🤪
Thankfully I caught the mistake before I finalized the invoice as it would have been a pain in the ass to correct. I had a good chuckle at my own expense on that one though.
399,410 bottles of wine: I think even Andre The Giant would have had difficulty drinking all that in one sitting.😅

See if they paid it. I mean, just imagine the tip you would have got. Even if just 1% lol.
