Press Release
dateline: Earth, July 2 2074
With the recent announcement by the United Federation of Stars and Planets (UFSP) that they would be allowing the return of professional wrestling some business men on the planet Earth have come together to create one of the first promotions. Spurred by the lobbying of wrestlers Omega and Morpheus these business men think a wrestling promotion can be profitable. They have gone into business with the two wrestlers to form the Global Wrestling Federation (GWF). Omega and Morpheus had been recently employed and wrestling for Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling (POW).
"We look forward to bring high quality and exciting wrestling action to the fans of Earth and thanks to a broadcasting deal that we will soon finalize to wrestling fans across the galaxy", said Omega. He went on to say, "We hope to have our first card in late August or early September. We will hold one or two cards a month with more info to come soon."
"Shortly after the first card we will also be crowning our first single and tag team champions," added Morpheus. The names of the wrestlers that have already been signed to wrestle for the GWF are the following:
Omega
Morpheus
Commander Sam
Torin Caelum
Moonstrike
Solar Flair
More names will be announced soon as Omega and Morpheus are in talks with several different individuals. Commander Sam, a decorated soldier from Earth that was involved in the Galactic Wars, had this to say. "It is a priviledge to be the first man signed after the founders Omega and Morpheus. Of course, you could not have a wrestling fed on Earth without an Earthling. Especially from the greatest country on Earth, the good old U S of A. I look forward to competing and becoming the first ever GWF champion. In a couple days the USA will celebrate the birth of our nation and in a couple years we will celebrate our 300th birthday. In both cases we will celebrate with fireworks. Well, fireworks is what you can expect when you watch the Global Wrestling Federation."

Julie Rocket: In the world of professional wrestling the first company on Earth since the ban on physical sports was lifted, the Global Wrestling Federation, has released the names of their second class of signees.
K.O. Keller
Blacklash
Bullwhip
Cordsar
Trotarus
Julie Rocket: Keller made a name for himself in the POW as a tough guy that does not back down. Blacklash and Bullwhip will form the tag team Dorado Sundown. These are a couple tough hombres themselves and are looking to make a name for themselves. Cordsar and Trotarus will make up the tag team of The Mensans. Word is The Mensans have informed GWF officials that they will be only a tag team and have zero interest in fighting in single matches. Time will tell if they get their wish. The first GWF show is fast approaching. Stay tuned to ESPN Space for more information as it becomes available.

That upstart wrestling promotion, Global Wrestling Federation, has announced their 3rd set of signings to the promotion. It is an impressive list.
Blood
Jammer
Ricken Prince
Thetis
Vortex
Screw
It should be noted that Omega and Morpheus are signing a decent amount of former Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling members. One has to wonder how that will set with the leader of the POW, Jack Hood. A few other notes regarding these signings, Ricken Prince is a big hoss. He will be a hard man to put on his back. There are a couple tag teams in this bunch. Blood and Jammer form the team Defiance while Thetis and Vortex form The Crosscurrents. Thetis and Vortex are from depths of the sea on the planet of Thalassis. They can survive outside of water for only a short time so they will be allowed to wear special suits that will provide them the water they need to stay strong and compete in the ring. A final note, Screw is that wrestler that has one loose and will be a wild one worth keeping an eye on.

A video released first on the Global Wrestling Federation web site and then later on other outlets like ESPN Space, TMZ and Access Hollywood.
GWF wrestlers Omega and Morpheus are standing in front of iconic Madison Square Garden.
Omega: This is where it will start. Our first official wrestling card for the GWF will happen here in September. Tickets will go on sale next Friday and you will not want to miss out on this historic event.
Morpheus: You can contact Ticketmaster to get your ticket or here at the Garden's box office. Here is what our first card will look like. Subject to change as always of course.
A graphic pops up showing the matches scheduled for the first GWF show.
K.O. Keller vs Screw
Defiance vs The Crosscurrents
Morpheus vs Commander Sam
and in the Main Event
Omega vs Torin Caelum
Omega: Once again, make sure you get your ticket before the show sells out.
Morpheus: If you cannot make it to see the amazing event you will be able to watch it on TV. One of the first networks to carry wrestling was the DuMont Television Network but it is no longer in business. Another of the early stations that became a network is WGN and they will be the flagship station for GWF. In addition to them it will be syndicated to many stations across the USA and the world. Check our web site for more information on how to watch it where you live. We will see you all at the first ever GWF show. Bye for now.

September 2074
Madison Square Garden
New York, NY USA
Screw (1 fatigue) beat K.O. Keller (3 fatigue) via pinfall after Freakish Face Slam (3 stars)
The Crosscurrents (none) beat Defiance (none) via disqualification when Jammer hit Thetis with a chair on the floor (2 stars)
Morpheus (none) beat Commander Sam (1) via pinfall after Trip To Hades (1 star)
Torin Caelum (none) beat Omega (3) via submission with Caelum's Grip (2 stars)
Post show recap:
The opening match was a tough fight between two men who refused to back down. The match almost went to the time limit before a third finisher from Screw earned him the first win in GWF history.
The tag match saw Defiance in total control and never in any danger. Thus it was a shock when Jammer used a chair that resulted in a DQ. The fact he continued to hit Thetis after the bell was not a good look for the GWF. A fine and maybe even a suspension might be coming.
It was said Morpheus was not happy about not being in the main event. He made very short work of the "hometown boy" and finished Commander Sam after hitting his finisher just a couple minutes into the match.
A shocker in the main event. Omega worked his way out of Caelum's finisher a pair of times. As they say, third time is the charm.

In Global Wrestling Federation news, the GWF board has fined Jammer $5,000 for his using of a chair in a recent match and the continued attack once the match was over. It is being reported that Thetis suffered some minor injuries and will miss some time. While he is on the shelf Vortex will not wrestle as he awaits his tag team partners return.
After the first card sources have reported that Morpheus was bragging about his impressive victory in the "co-main event" and says now everyone in the GWF knows he is the man to beat but no one will be able to do just that. Finally, there are two shows set for October. The first will take place in Chicago, IL USA inside the United Center. Here is a look on the currently scheduled matches for that card.
Paladin Power vs Defiance K.O. Keller vs Torin Caelum Dorado Sundown vs The Mensans Ricken Prince vs Commander Sam in the main event
Later in the month the next card will happen at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX USA. No matches for that card have been announced yet but a GWF official has said there will be an important announcement at that show.

The members of Defiance were not happy about the loss and looked like there were going to continue to fight Paladin Power after the match. GWF officials and security came down and got involved before anything could happen
Torin Caelum could not build off his upset victory over Omega on the last show. Meanwhile K.O. Keller rebounded from his loss to Screw
Dorado Sundown rolled over their opponents in an impressive win
Another impressive win. This time from the giant of GWF, Ricken Prince. After the match Commander Sam showed his frustration over a second straight loss to start his GWF career. Things do not get any easier as his next opponent will be Omega on the next show
It has been announced that the main event of the next show will be Morpheus taking on Torin Caelum

Pre show preview
We have our first rematch in GWF as K.O. Keller will be looking to even things with Screw who beat him in the very first GWF match
Trotarus of The Mensans asked for a one-on-one match against Bullwhip of Dorado Sundown. It will be a battle of the big men of the two tag teams
On the very first GWF show Torin Caelum beat Omega in what many called an upset in the main event. Now Morpheus has his turn in the main event against Torin Caelum
K.O. Keller (none) beat Screw (1) via pinfall after The Ten Count (1 star)
Bullwhip (none) beat Trotarus (4) via pinfall after Twelve O'Clock High (2 stars)
Omega (1) beat Commander Sam (1) via pinfall with Cosmic War Dance (3 stars)
Morpheus (none) beat Torin Caelum (4) via pinfall with Natural Disaster (3 stars)
Post show recap:
K.O. Keller felt he had Screw in their first match and let it slip away. So, he took the fight to Screw from the opening bell and finished him with his finisher a second time. After the match a mysterious man ran out from back, slid in the ring and attacked Screw. The man's face was wrapped in some kind of scarf like material. He beat Screw down and then hit a piledriver. Several GWF officials and a couple referees came down and pulled this mysterious man off of Screw and sent him to the back. Who is this man and why did he attack Screw?
Trotarus asked for a match against Bullwhip, and he got it. He might have regretted it after the match. Bullwhip pounded on The Mensans member from pillar to post. Trotarus showed his toughness as he took not one, not two but FOUR of Bullwhip's finishers and kicked out. A fifth one finally took the fight of him.
Before coming down for his match Omega confronted the mystery man that attacked Screw. "What were you doing?" he asked. "You just signed your GWF contract yesterday Santon and before you even have a match you attack one of our wrestlers? If you are not careful your career here will be over before it even starts. Do you have anything to say for yourself?" The man Omega called Santon just shook his head. "Still not talking huh. Fine. But watch yourself or you can quietly return from wherever you came from." With that Omega walked off and Santon just stared after him.
Sam put up a good fight as he went toe-to-toe with Omega for a couple minutes. A Cosmic War Dance almost ended the match while a second one did. Commander Sam laid on the mat after the match clearly frustrated. Omega offered his hand and Sam refused it for a bit but then took it and let Omega help him to his feet. They shook hands and then returned to the back.
Morpheus controlled the action for most of the match. Torin refused to go down easy and kicked out of four Trip To Hades. That impressed everyone, even Morpheus. They did not get the win but wore Torin down to make him easy pickings for Morpheus a bit later.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The next show will be a special with twice the time as it will be a tournament to crown the first ever GWF Global Champion. The event will emanate from the world renowned Sphere in Las Vegas, NV USA. Here is a look at the names participating in the GWF Global Championship tournament and their seeding.
#1 - Omega #2 - Morpheus #3 - Ricken Prince #4 - K.O. Keller #5 - Commander Sam #6 - Screw #7 - Santon The Loner #8 - Torin Caelum

Julie Rocket: We finally have the names of the men competing in the GWF Tournament to crown the inaugural Global Champion and the first round has some interesting matchups. Morpheus will take on the newcomer Santon The Loner. Since nothing is known about Santon it could be hard for Morpheus to prepare for that match. Also, Omega will face Torin Caelum who has a victory over Omega. Can Torin go two for two?
There is some controversy over the seedings as some people have complained that Omega and Morpheus, who helped found the GWF, are the top two seeds. They are saying the men are giving themselves an advantage. Both others are pointing out that they are arguably the two best wrestlers right now plus there is no home advantage like in team sports. The men will have to win three matches to win the title just like anyone else will have to do.

Final match:

Post show recap:
Commander Sam's losing streak continues. K.O. performed The Ten Count but Sam was able to kick out. Keller followed up with Keller's flying knee and picked up the win to advance to the semifinals
The second match was brutal and almost saw a huge upset. Morpheus took the early advantage. Then he tossed Santon out of the ring. As Santon got back onto the apron Morpheus came over and Santon grabbed his head and dropped off the apron driving Morpheus's neck onto the top rope. Santon quickly entered the ring and used his finisher, Santon Driver, to almost pick up the upset in his first GWF match. From there both men brutalized each other. Morpheus finally put his opponent away with a second head stomp after the first one did not get him the three count. A battered Morpheus survived to move on to the semifinals
Screw took the fight to his larger opponent and did not let up. A series of piledrivers led to the pin so he could advance to the semifinals
Omega and Torin Caelum met in the very first GWF main event and Torin earned the upset victory. Early on it looked like he would repeat it here. He was dominating Omega and applied Caelum's Grip. Omega fought his way to the ropes to get a break. Soon after Omega finally started to get in his own offense. It looked like it would be over after a Tomahawk Thrust but Torin kicked out at two. Omega kept trucking along and used his TT finisher a second time and finally got the W. He moves on to the semifinals
K.O. Keller tried to overpower Omega but Omega fought back. After a Cosmic War Dance and cover Keller kicked out. Omega kept on the attack and used Tomahawk Thrust to earn the win. He is the first to punch his ticket to the final
Screw came at Morpheus like a runaway train. Morpheus tried to fight back but he had been caught off guard. A Freakish Face Slam sent Screw into the final against Omega
Screw tried to start hot once again just like he did in his first two matches. But Omega was prepared and soon had Screw on the defensive for the first time in the tournament. After a Tomahawk Thrust it seemed Omega had the win but Screw grabbed the bottom rope right before the referee finished the count. Omega was not to be denied so he kept working Screw over and hit his finisher a second time to win the match, tournament and Global Championship
As Omega celebrated in the ring and handed the Global Championship belt (A gold belt on a light blue leather belt with a rotating Earth in the center of the gold plate and flashing stars around it) Screw was making his way to the back. Suddenly Santon The Loner ran out and attacked Screw with a chair. Omega rushed out to help Screw. Santon saw him coming and he dropped the chair and ran off to the back. Omega called for medical help as he check on Screw then the show ended
The next show at the end of the month will be from SoFi Stadium in LA and will be a four man tag team tournament to crown the Global Tag Team Champions. After that in early December GWF goes to Mexico City and the Mexico City Arena
