Maybe I'm not finding the right thread where people are actually discussing what occurred at WrestleMania so, sorry if it feels like I'm highjacking a thread here... Serious question though, do people actually find that sort of WrestleMania main event match entertaining? It reminded me so much of Sting vs. Triple H from a number of years ago. Just a bunch of run-ins to get pops. Maybe it would have been better to have all the Bloodline members walkout with Roman Reigns, maybe include Rikisi, Afa Jr., Samu, LA Smooth/Alofa, etc instead of just having a series of run-ins right before the end of the match.

I really loved it. It was an end of an era match - not just the end of Reigns title reign, but the end of the Vince era. And there were a lot of really well told stories in those interferences, my favorite ones being Seth in Shield gear (triggering Roman’s one weakness when he could not help himself from hitting Seth w the chair, which opened up the opportunity for Cody’s comeback) and the Undertaker reminding Rock who the real final boss is. It was very much like the ending of a good Marvel movie to me.

I liked it. There were layers with Jey/Jimmy, Cena/Solo, a legend coming back to confront Rock. Seth knowing Roman better than anyone and telling Cody he would be his “Shield”. Seth is Roman’s kryptonite and was a reason he lost everything again.
My wife knows a little about wrestling just from it being on in our house a lot and I was shocked she stayed up while the main was on. When I told her how surprised I was that she stayed up and wasn’t on her phone, she said “I was hooked on it.” I agree with the Marvel comparison. I remember with Endgame and once the White Walkers arrived in GOT that you were ready for the culmination and major things were about to go down. I feel like it provided that. I dug the celebration after with people coming from the back like the old days.

Was it a complete schmaz? Yes, but Rock & his bitch Roman wanted "Bloodline Rules" and they got them. I thought Rock would threaten Lil Naitch just like he threatened Chad Patton, so that felt a little disjointed, but whatever.
The only "tweak" I would make is Undertaker telling Rock "I'M THE FINAL BOSS, BITCH!" before the chokeslam.
Nice to see all the faces celebrating with Cody...much like Sting in 1990, Hart in 1994, etc. Huge moment that I'm glad I stayed awake for (had 4 hours of sleep the night before).
But OK, the HHH dick-riding can stop now. WE GET IT ALREADY. VINCE IS GONE. AMEN.

Bri I said the same thing! I wish the rock had a cool line like "I told you Cody, I'm the final boss there's no one bigger than me" and then that gong hits

I thought it was a solid 2 nights of wrestling, with Saturday being slightly better, but that could have been my anticipation of the main event wishing all the other matches would end quickly on Sunday. Overall, I was a little surprised, but not disappointed, with all the title changes. Definitely feels like a “reset” was the plan. Loved Priest cashing in on McIntyre, as it made sense not to put him in a feud with Punk while he was carrying a title. Probably would have upset a good part of the roster for Punk to be thrust into the title picture. Curious to see the direction Gunther takes. If Triple H is really old school, Gunther should challenge for a world title next. Will Rhea dump Dom for Damian? Do I smell a Reigns face turn? Definitely looking forward to Raw tonight.

This way Undertaker would not have to say anything which I always preferred an Undertaker that speaks less or not at all.

Reigns needs to turn on Rock, have Rock go face and they have their match. Then Reigns can do a face turn sometime after that. Then again Reigns face against heel Rock and after Reigns beats him Rock "turns" and holds Reigns arm up and passes the torch so to speak.

I still can't put into words how amazing Paul's WWE is.

I thought the run-ins were corny, excessive and detracted from any quality the match between two good workers might otherwise have had. Just so you know, I also thought George Steele's interference diminished Savage versus Steamboat at Mania 3.
