L1 Wrestling 2.1 Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event, Mad Dog Vachon vs. Abdullah the Butcher with the winner taking on Kurt Angle for the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title next week. Cornette says they’ll reveal the opening round matches for the L1 Tag Team Tournament later in the program. JR introduces the first match.
1. Road Warrior Hawk vs. Tom Stone Hawk mauls Stone at the bell and hits the running clothesline for the win.

JR says he’s looking forward to seeing Hawk have a good singles run here in L1 Wrestling. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. The Trooper vs. Curt Hennig Hennig and the Trooper battle back and forth. The match spills out of the ring. Hennig knocks Trooper over the guardrail with a knee lift. The Trooper is counted out.
Winner - Curt Hennig by count out
Cornette says Hennig had a little trouble with The Trooper.

Abdullah hits the Sudanese Meat Cleaver for a two count. Mad Dog makes a comeback and hits a piledriver for a two count. Mad Dog hits two more piledrivers and covers Abdullah for the three count.

L1 Wrestling 2.2 Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Kurt Angle vs. Mad Dog Vachon for the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title. JR introduces the first match.
1. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Larry Sharpe Bockwinkel takes his time and wears Sharpe down. Bockwinkel locks on the Bockwinkel sleeper and Sharpe taps out.

JR says Bockwinkel could be the man to unseat Kurt Angle. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Jack Brisco vs. David Taylor Brisco and Taylor grapple back and forth. Taylor misses a turnbuckle charge and Brisco rolls him up for a two count. Brisco hits the lateral guillotine for the three count.

Cornette says Brisco may be the best athlete in L1 Wrestling. JR introduces the next match.
3. Brian Blair vs. Nikolai Volkoff Blair and Volkoff battle back and forth. Blair locks on the Cobra Clutch but Volkoff fights him off. Blair wears Volkoff down with the sleeper. Blair hits the running clothesline for a two count. Blair hits the lateral guillotine for the win.

JR says he’d love to see two former amateurs like Brisco and Blair lock up. Cornette introduces the main event.
4. Kurt Angle vs. Mad Dog Vachon - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title match Mad Dog goes on the attack at the bell. Mad Dog hits a backbreaker for a two count. Mad Dog hits a piledriver but Angle kicks out. Mad Dog hits a second piledriver but Angle gets hits foot on the ropes. Mad Dog hits the Mad Dog Pounce. Angle makes a comeback and hits the Olympic Slam for a two count. Angle hits a second Olympic Slam but can’t get the three count. Angle hits a third Olympic Slam and takes down the straps. Mad Dog tries rolling away but Angle manhandles him up and hits two more Olympic Slams. Angle hits a moonsault for a two count. Angle locks on the Ankle Lock and Mad Dog taps out.
Winner - Kurt Angle by submission, his 12th title defense, tying Buddy Roger’s longest reign as Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight champion and closing in on Harley Race’s 15 defense reign.

1. Tony Atlas vs. Larry Sharpe Atlas throws Sharpe all over the ring and hits a big dropkick for a two count. Sharpe makes a comeback and hits a piledriver. Sharpe hits a second piledriver for the win.

Atlas is stunned after the loss and makes his way to the back. JR says that was a tough one. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Jim Brunzell vs. Alexis Smirnoff Brunzell goes on the attack and hits a flying head scissors for a two count. Brunzell hits a high flying dropkick for the win.

After the match, Brunzell gets on the mic and challenges Kurt Angle to a match. Cornette says that’s one way to shoot your shot. JR introduces the next match.
3. Don Leo Jonathan vs. Nord the Barbarian DLJ and Nord battle back and forth. DLJ goes to the top and hits a flying body press for a two count. DLJ wears Nord down with the swinging full nelson. Nord makes a comeback but DLJ shuts him down with the Mormon Swing for the win.

JR puts over DLJ. Cornette says they’ve received word from the back that Kurt Angle has accepted Jim Brunzell’s challenge and will wrestle him in two weeks. JR introduces the main event.
4. Orton vs. Mantell Orton gets the early advantage and hits the kneeling neckbreaker for a two count. Dutch makes a comeback but Orton shuts him down and hits the press slam backbreaker for a two count. Orton hits the Superplex for the win.

3. Gorilla Monsoon vs. Alexis Smirnoff Smirnoff gets the upper hand at the bell but Gorilla manhandles him and hits a body slam toss for a two count. Smirnoff makes a comeback and hits a delayed pump suplex. Gorilla gets the momentum and wears Smirnoff down with a bear hug. Smirnoff makes a comeback and hits a jumping stomp for a two count. Gorilla turns it around and hits a Manchurian Landslide for the win.

JR says Gorilla badly needed that win. Cornette introduces the main event.
4. Orton & Adonis vs. Idol & Mantell Orton and Idol start the match. Idol stomps Orton to the mat and wears him down with the Las Vegas Leglock. Idol tags in Dutch. Orton makes a comeback but doesn’t tag out. Orton and Dutch battle back and forth. Dutch hits the Double Dutch Clutch for a two count. Orton makes a comeback and tags in Adonis. Adonis hits a suplex for a two count. Adonis wears Dutch down with Goodnight Irene. Adonis clamps on Goodnight Irene a second time and Orton holds off Idol. Dutch taps out.

As Brisco heads to the back, he comes face to face with Tony Atlas. Brisco offers his hand to Atlas and Atlas slaps it away and accuses Brisco of laughing at him. Brisco tries to apologize and Atlas shoves him down. Brisco and Atlas get into a shoving match until The Grappler attacks Atlas from behind and throws him into the ring.
2. Tony Atlas vs. The Grappler The Grappler pummels Atlas. Atlas makes a comeback and hits the press slam and splash for a two count. Atlas hits a second press slam and splash for the win.
Winner - Tony Atlas by pinfall
After the match, Atlas gets on the mic and says he wants Jack Brisco next week. Brisco thinks he’s better than Atlas but he’ll be proven wrong. JR and Cornette introduce the next match.
3. Curt Hennig vs. Brian Blair Blair and Hennig battle back and forth. Blair clotheslines Hennig outside the ring and Hennig is nearly counted out. Blair wears Hennig down with a sleeper. Blair locks on the cobra clutch and Hennig taps out.
Winner - Brian Blair by submission
JR says that was a huge win for Blair. Cornette introduces the main event.
4. Kurt Angle vs. Jim Brunzell - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title match Brunzell gets the upper hand at the bell but Angle turns it around and hits a German Suplex. Angle hits a second German Suplex and locks on the Ankle Lock but Brunzell fights him off. Brunzell makes a comeback but Angle cuts him off and hits an Olympic Slam for a two count. Angle hits a second Olympic Slam for the win.
Winner - Kurt Angle by pinfall, his 13th successful title defense, just two defenses away from tying Harley Race’s record with the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title.
Brunzell has some trouble leaving ringside and Brian Blair comes from the back to help him. Blair and Angle exchange words and Blair hits a leg dive on Angle as the show goes off the air.

L1 Wrestling 2.6 Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Don Muraco vs. Stan Hansen in a preview of next week’s L1 Tag Team tournament match. Cornette says that Kurt Angle has signed to defend the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title against Brian Blair in two weeks. JR introduces the first match
1. Curt Hennig vs. David Taylor Taylor gets the early advantage. Hennig rolls him up in a small package for a two count. Hennig wears Taylor down with a sleeper. Hennig hits the Hennig Plex for the win.
Winner - Curt Hennig by pinfall
JR says Hennig is back on the winning side of things. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Gorilla Monsoon Monsoon throws Bockwinkel all over the ring. Bockwinkel makes a comeback and locks on the figure four but Monsoon fights him off. Bockwinkel chokes Monsoon on the ropes and slingshots him into the middle of the ring. Bockwinkel locks on the figure four a second time but Monsoon drags them to the ropes. Bockwinkel hits a piledriver for a two count. Bockwinkel locks on the Bockwinkel sleeper and Monsoon taps out.

Cornette predicts Bockwinkel will be champion by the middle of the year. JR introduces the next match.
3. Jack Brisco vs. Tony Atlas Brisco and Atlas grapple back and forth. The match spills out of the ring and the two men fight into the second row. The referee herds them back into the ring. Atlas surprises Brisco with a big dropkick and covers him for the three count.

4. Don Muraco vs. Stan Hansen Muraco and Hansen battle all over the ring area. Muraco wears Hansen down with an over the shoulder backbreaker. Muraco hits the Hawaiian Hammer for a two count. Muraco drills Hansen with the Asiatic Spike and covers him for a two count. Hansen makes a comeback but Muraco shuts him down and hits a second Hawaiian Hammer for the win.
