4. Adrian Adonis & Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Double Axe Attack
Adonis and Hennig start the match. JR reminds the fans that Adonis & Orton won the first L1 Tag Team tournament and defeated last year’s champions, Dutch Savage & The Spoiler, on the final card of the year. Adonis and Hennig brawl outside the ring and the referee loses control. Hennig nails Adonis with a chair and the referee calls for the bell to a round of boos.

The Destroyer plants Milliman with a body slam and hits the Bombs Away. The Destroyer locks on the figure four and Milliman taps out.

Abdullah bloodies Danielson with the spike but Danielson won’t stay down. Abdullah nails Danielson with the spike again. Danielson and Abdullah battle back and forth. Abdullah nails him with the spike again and Danielson is a bloody mess. Abdullah hits the karate thrust to the throat. Abdullah hoists Danielson up and hits the torture rack slam for the win.

Magnum goes to work on Abdullah and hits a dropkick for a two count. Abdullah makes a comeback and gouges Magnum with a foreign object. Magnum bounces back and hits a running forearm for a two count. Magnum hits an atomic drop and Abdullah rolls out of the ring. Magnum goes out after him and Abdullah slams him into the ringpost. The referee calls for the bell.

Okay, so I'm not really into L1 Wrestling the way it is. I'm going to retool it to be a yearly tag team tournament that takes place over the course of a week or so. Not sure what's going to happen to the Universal title but I hate to abandon it altogether. The goal of L1 is still the same - I want eight tournament winners to battle in a best of the best 8 team tournament before I fold it completely. Anyway, here are the main events I've already rolled and the rest of the third L1 tag team tournament.

L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title
Abdullah the Butcher vs. Magnum TA - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title (Hardcore Texas Death match)
Abdulllah and Magnum come out swinging. Magnum gets the momentum and goes for the belly to belly but Abdullah hits a low blow and takes over. Abdullah tries whipping Magnum into the rails but Magnum reverses it and goes on the attack. Magnum busts Abdullah open with a chairshot and hits the belly to belly for a two count. Abdullah and Magnum brawl into the crowd. Abdullah busts a beer bottle over Magnum’s head and rolls him into the ring. Magnum makes a comeback and hits a dropkick for a two count. Magnum hits a belly to belly suplex and covers Abdullah for the three count.

Winner - Magnum TA by pinfall. Magnum TA is the new L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight champion

Magnum TA vs. The Destroyer - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title
The Destroyer gets the early advantage and wears Magnum down with the bow and arrow. The Destroyer locks on the figure four but Magnum rolls over, forcing the Destroyer to release the hold. Magnum mounts a short comeback but the Destroyer shuts him down and locks on the figure four in the middle of the ring. Magnum taps out.

Winner - The Destroyer by submission. The Destroyer is the new L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight champion!

The Destroyer vs. Abdullah the Butcher - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title
The Destroyer and Abdullah battle all over the ring area. The Destroyer hits a backbreaker for a two count. Abdullah makes a comeback and locks on the nerve hold. The Destroyer taps out.

Winner - Abdullah the Butcher by submission. Abdullah has regained the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title.

Vader & 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard
Scorpio and WIndham start the match. JR says Vader & Scorpio are one of four teams that has survived through two tournaments. Windham and Scorpio battle back and forth. Windham rolls up Scorpio in a small package and Blanchard holds off Vader while the referee makes the three count.

Paul Orndorff & Tommy Gilbert vs. Gorilla Monsoon & Killer Kowalski
Tommy Gilbert and Killer Kowalski start the match. JR mentions that Orndorff & Gilbert have survived the first rounds of two tournaments. Kowalski mauls Gilbert and hits a backbreaker for a two count. Gilbert makes a comeback and hits a running knee lift for a two count. Gilbert tags in Orndorff.
