Cornette says William Muldoon will take on Harley Race for the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title in two weeks and there will be an eight man mini-tournament to see who gets a title shot on the last show of the year in four weeks. JR introduces the first match.

Von Raschke trounces Hutch and locks on the Brain Claw. Hutch taps out.

JR says Von Raschke’s Brain Claw is hard to top. Cornette introduces the next match.

2. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Joe Blanchard
Bockwinkel and Blanchard battle back and forth. Bockwinkel locks on the abdominal stretch, wearing Blanchard down. Bockwinkel locks on the figure four and Blanchard submits.

Winner - Nick Bockwinkel by submission.

JR says Bockwinkel is a step closer to the title shot at the end of the year.

3. Jack Brisco vs. Jim Brunzell
Brisco takes Brunzell to the mat and hits the lateral guillotine for a two count. Brunzell hits the rolling reverse cradle for the win.

Superstar and Magnum battle back and forth. Superstar hits a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Superstar hits a second swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Magnum makes a comeback and nails Superstar with a running forearm for a two count. Magnum wears Superstar down with an abdominal stretch. Magnum goes to the top rope and Superstar throws him to the mat. Superstar locks on the sleeper and Magnum taps.

Cornette says it will be a battle of submission holds when Masked Superstar takes on Nick Bockwinkel in round 2. JR introduces the next match, saying the winner will have Jack Brisco on his hands.

3. Abdullah the Butcher vs. Don Leo Jonathan
Abdullah gets the advantage at the bell. DLJ hits sunset flip for a two count to turn things around. DLJ goes to the top and hits a flying body press for a two count. DLJ and Abdullah battle outside the ring and Abdullah gets caught smacking DLJ with the chair and the referee calls for the bell.

JR wonders how DLJ will face against Jack Brisco next round. Cornette introduces the main event.

4. Brody & Hansen vs. Dutch Savage & The Spoiler
Brody and Savage start the match. Savage mauls Brody and hits the running piledriver, bringing in Spoiler and Hansen. The Spoiler and Savage take out Hansen. Dutch hits another piledriver for the win.

Winners - Dutch Savage & The Spoiler by pinfall. Savage & Spoiler have won the L1 Tag Team Cup and $100,000!

2. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Masked Superstar
Bockwinkel and Superstar battle back and forth. Superstar hits the swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Superstar locks on the Cobra Hold but Bockwinkel fights him off. Superstar hits two swinging neckbreakers and covers Bockwinkel for the three count.

JR wonders who will face Superstar in the finals.

Dutch Savage and the Spoiler are called out to the ring and presented with the huge L1 Wrestling Tag Team trophy. Dutch is handed the mic but is cut off when Adrian Adonis & Cowboy Bob Orton, last year’s winners, attack Dutch and The Spoiler from behind. Adonis grabs a chair and lays out Dutch and The Spoiler. Adonis and Orton destroy the L1 Tag Team trophy and leave the ring to a round of boos.

Once Dutch Savage and The Spoiler are back on their feet, Savage challenges Orton & Adonis to face them in the ring, Cornette introduces the next match.

3. Jack Brisco vs. Don Leo Jonathan
Jonathan overwhelms Brisco and hits the atomic drop for a two count. DLJ wears Brisco down with the Mormon swing. DLJ hoists Brisco up in a second Mormon Swing and Brisco taps out.

Winner - Don Leo Jonathan by submission.

JR says the finals of the mini-tournament will be Masked Superstar vs. Don Leo Jonathan. Cornette introduces the main event.

4. Harley Race vs. William Muldoon - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title match
Muldoon and Race grapple back and forth. Race hits a sunset flip but Muldoon easily kicks out. Race tortures Muldoon and hits the back suplex for the win.

Valentine chops away at The Trooper and hits a belly to back suplex for a two count. Valentine throws The Trooper out of the ring and nails him in the knee with a chair. The Trooper is counted out.

Patterson hits a Bombs Away for a two count. Brisco makes a comeback and locks on the Figure four but Patterson fights him off. Brisco rolls him up with a rolling reverse cradle for the win.

Smirnoff starts strong but Abdullah turns it around and hits a karate thrust to the throat and gouges Smirnoff with a foreign objects. Smirnoff comes back and nails Abdullah with a heart punch for a two count. Abdullah nails Smirnoff with a karate thrust to the throat to turn things around. Abdullah repeatedly jabs Smirnoff with the foreign object. Smirnoff is wearing the crimson mask. Abdullah hits the Sudanese Meat Cleaver for the win.

DLJ goes on the attack and wears Superstar down with a giant swing. Superstar battles back and hits the swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Superstar hits another neckbreaker and locks on the Cobra Hold. DLJ taps out.

Adonis and Dutch Savage start the match. Dutch goes on the attack and nails Adonis with the thumb to the throat. Adonis and Savage battle on the outside. Savage nails Adonis with another thumb to the throat and tags in The Spoiler. The Spoiler hits the rope walk smash. Spoiler nails Adonis with a knee lift for a two count. Adonis and Spoiler battle outside and Adonis comes out on top. Adonis hits a bulldog headlock for a two count and tags in Orton. The Spoiler turns it around and wears Orton down with the bionic claw. Spoiler tags in Dutch. Dutch nails Orton with a thumb to the throat. Orton makes a comeback and hits a released double underhook and covers Dutch but the Spoiler makes the save. 4. Harley Race vs. Masked Superstar - L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title match
Race takes Superstar apart at his methodical pace. Race hits a piledriver for a two count. Race hits a vertical suplex for a two count. Superstar makes a comeback but Race shuts him down and wears him down with the Indian Deathlock. Race goes to the top and Superstar throws him to the mat. Superstar locks on the sleeper but Race fights him off. Race makes a comeback and hits the piledriver for the win.

A second Masked Superstar runs down to the ring and attacks Race from behind! The Masked Superstar hits the Olympic Slam and rips off his mask, revealing Kurt Angle! Angle locks Race in the Ankle Lock as the show goes off the air!

Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to year 3 of L1 Wrestling and hype the main event, Abdullah the Butcher vs. Masked Superstar with the winner getting a shot at the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title in four weeks. JR says that next week, Harley Race will defend the L1 Wrestling Universal Heavyweight title against Kurt Angle and Angle has vowed to leave L1 Wrestling for one year if he can’t beat Harley Race. Cornette says they’ll reveal the opening round brackets of the third annual L1 Tag Team tournament later in the program and introduces the first match.

1. Rob Van Dam with Bill Alphonso vs. Jake Milliman
Van Dam destroys Milliman and hits the Van Daminator for the win.
