The A’s may have trouble filling that minor league park. Their game Tuesday night was beaten in attendance (a meager 3296) by 19 minor league teams including three single A teams.

Yeah, I saw that last night the A's AAA team the Las Vegas Aviators with an attendance of 4,603 actually outdrew the Oakland As in Oakland. As I mentioned on another thread, I am going to the game tonight between Tacoma and Las Vegas. This weekend TNA has its Rebellion PPV in Las Vegas followed by a TV taping the next day and both Nic Nemeth and Moose are throwing out the first pitches before tonight's game. Also, since it is Thursday, it is $2 beer night at the game so I am taking my quarters to the game so I can exchange them for beer.

How long before the jokes start that the A in Oakland A's is the level of the team.

That's hilarious that he remembered you. Quarters are quick and easy to count though. Just make sure you don't try buying those $2 beers with a whole pile of loose dimes and nickels. As someone who has worked retail for 25 years I can assure you that will not go over well. It's even more annoying than people trying to buy a $2 item with a $100 bill.🤬

When they put my quarters in the cash box that the vendor used for the $2 beer sales on the patio area, they were actually the only coins in the cashbox.

Enjoy using quarters to pay for those beers while you can. Before long the stadium will go cashless. Joker Marchant stadium, spring training hone for Tigers and where Single A Flying Tigers play, is cashless now.

Joker Marchant stadium, spring training hone for Tigers and where Single A Flying Tigers play, is cashless now. most of the ballpark already is cashless, but they make an exception for the vendor on the patio doing the $2 beer sales at Thursday home games going cashless can cause problems however as the system crashed at Allegiant Stadium during Summerslam 2021 which led to the venue unable to make any concession sales for the rest of the event (but thankfully I had just bought this awesome Mexican BBQ burrito and a beer before the system outage that day)
