Enjoy using quarters to pay for those beers while you can. Before long the stadium will go cashless. Joker Marchant stadium, spring training hone for Tigers and where Single A Flying Tigers play, is cashless now. most of the ballpark already is cashless, but they make an exception for the vendor on the patio doing the $2 beer sales at Thursday home games going cashless can cause problems however as the system crashed at Allegiant Stadium during Summerslam 2021 which led to the venue unable to make any concession sales for the rest of the event (but thankfully I had just bought this awesome Mexican BBQ burrito and a beer before the system outage that day) Sadly even if they took cash they might still have had issues making sales. So many people have issues making change these days without technology. |

Don't look now but the A's are not in last in the MLB. In fact, they are not even last in their division. More than that, they are only 1.5 games out of first in the AL West. How crazy is that. Currently the team with the worst record is the Chicago White Sox how were favored to win the AL Central just last year or maybe the year before.

Don't look now but the A's are not in last in the MLB. In fact, they are not even last in their division. More than that, they are only 1.5 games out of first in the AL West. How crazy is that. Currently the team with the worst record is the Chicago White Sox how were favored to win the AL Central just last year or maybe the year before. yeah, the As have been a very pleasant surprise so far and they just scored 20 runs yesterday against Miami to win their 6th straight game and get to .500. So far, instead of the As being the worst team in the league as many predicted, it looks like that dishonor is going to Miami, Colorado, or the White Sox. I definitely plan to go to an As game in Sacramento next year (it has been many years since I was at that ballpark in Sacramento.) |

I think the White Sox will finish as the worst team. The funny thing about the AL Central is no dominating team but they have four really good teams...and Chicago. Right now the AL Central would have three playoff teams, the division "winners" Cleveland and wild card teams KC and Minnesota. If my Tigers can find some hitting they could be back in the mix but they are fading right now. Great pitching but no hitting.

Tonight I bought a roundtrip flight to Atlanta to see MLW's Battle Riot at Center Satge on June 1st. On Sunday June 2nd, I plan to go to the As vs Braves afternoon game before flying home later that night.
