Welcome to the Texas Fight League (TXFL)
Presented by Billy Bob's Texas, the new home of TXFL
Mean Gene Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, it's an exciting day in the world of combat sports. Today, I'm thrilled to be joined by none other than Blackjack Mulligan, the new owner of the Texas Fight League. Blackjack, welcome!
Blackjack Mulligan: Mean Gene, it's always a pleasure to be here with you. Thanks for having me.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Blackjack, there's a lot of buzz around the formation of the Texas Fight League. Can you tell us a little bit about your vision for this new league?
Blackjack Mulligan: Absolutely, Gene. The Texas Fight League is going to bring something fresh and raw to the fight world. My vision is to create an environment that resembles "2:00 AM At The Ol' Rock Inn," where folks settled their differences like real men. We want to capture that gritty, no-holds-barred atmosphere and bring it to the fans.
Mean Gene Okerlund: That sounds intense, Blackjack. What can you tell us about the Bullpen Match, one of your original concepts for the Texas Fight League?
Blackjack Mulligan: The Bullpen Match is going to be a game-changer, Gene. Picture this: two men settling their differences inside a 20-foot round bullpen with a dirt floor. There's no room to run, nowhere to hide. It's just raw, unfiltered combat. The Bullpen Match is designed to push fighters to their limits and truly test their mettle.
Mean Gene Okerlund: That sounds absolutely brutal, Blackjack. Now, I understand you have some exciting fighters lined up for the Texas Fight League. Can you introduce us to the first three competitors?
Blackjack Mulligan: I'd be happy to, Gene. First up, we have Rad Racer. He's a 6-0, 185-pound daredevil motocross racer from Southern California. Rad's known for his high-flying antics and is a hit with the ladies. He's bringing that same fearless energy to the Bullpen.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Rad Racer sounds like a thrilling addition to the league. Who's next, Blackjack?
Blackjack Mulligan: Next, we have a veteran of the wrestling world, Eddie Marlin. Eddie's a former promoter from Memphis, and he's looking for one more shot at glory. At 5-10 and 210 pounds, Eddie's in the best shape of his life and has a notorious big right hand. He's got the experience and the hunger to make a mark in the Bullpen.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Eddie Marlin is a name that carries weight in the wrestling world. And last but certainly not least?
Blackjack Mulligan: Finally, we have Wolf. This 6-0, 256-pound fighter hails from the American Rocky Mountains. Wolf's complete absence of fear earned him the nickname "Wrestling's Original Apex Predator." He's a force of nature, Gene, and he's ready to unleash his fury in the Bullpen.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Wolf sounds like a formidable opponent for anyone who steps into the Bullpen. Blackjack, it's clear that the Texas Fight League is going to be something special. Any final thoughts for the fans?
Blackjack Mulligan: Gene, the Texas Fight League is about to change the game. We're bringing real, raw combat to the forefront, and we can't wait to show the world what we've got. Stay tuned, folks—this is just the beginning.
Mean Gene Okerlund: There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, straight from the man himself, Blackjack Mulligan. The Texas Fight League is coming, and it promises to be unlike anything we've ever seen. Thank you, Blackjack, for joining us today.
Blackjack Mulligan: Thank you, Gene. It's been a pleasure.
Tomorrow, Mean Gene continues his interview with Blackjack Mulligan, and we find out some more of the combatants

[The scene opens inside the iconic Billy Bob's Texas, where Mean Gene Okerlund and Blackjack Mulligan are enjoying their drinks at a corner table. The atmosphere is lively, with country music playing in the background and patrons mingling and dancing. As the camera pans in, Mean Gene raises his glass to the camera.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, we're coming to you live from Billy Bob's Texas, the largest honky-tonk in the world! I'm here with the new owner of the Texas Fight League, Blackjack Mulligan. Blackjack, it's great to be here with you.
Blackjack Mulligan: Gene, it's always a pleasure. There's no place like Billy Bob's Texas, that's for sure.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Now, before we get into the details about the Texas Fight League, I hear there's someone we absolutely must meet. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce Rosita, the finest, most beautiful waitress in all of Texas!
[Rosita, with a warm smile, walks over to their table, carrying a tray of drinks. She places them down gracefully.]
Rosita: Howdy, gentlemen! It's a pleasure to serve you. If you need anything else, just give me a holler.
Blackjack Mulligan: Thank you, Rosita. You're the best in the business!
[Rosita smiles and waves as she walks away to attend to other customers. Mean Gene turns back to Blackjack.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: Blackjack, let's talk about some more fighters in the Texas Fight League. I understand you have a few more names to introduce.
Blackjack Mulligan: That's right, Gene. First up, we've got Blackjack Lanza. He's a towering figure at 6-5 and 260 pounds, hailing from Laredo, Texas. He's got the strength and the skills to be a real contender.
[Suddenly, Blackjack Lanza bursts through the doors of Billy Bob's, making a beeline for Mulligan and Mean Gene. His expression is one of frustration and anger.]
Blackjack Lanza: Mulligan! What's this I hear about me not being a financial part of the Texas Fight League? You think you can just leave me out of this?
Blackjack Mulligan: Lanza, calm down. Let's talk about this like men.
Blackjack Lanza: Talk? You should've talked to me before making your decisions! I've put in just as much work as anyone else!
[The tension is thick as the two stare each other down. Mean Gene steps in to diffuse the situation.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: Gentlemen, let's not lose our heads. Blackjack, why don't we move on to the next fighter?
Blackjack Mulligan: Right, Gene. Next, we have Wahoo McDaniel. Standing at 6-1 and 261 pounds from Midland, Texas, Wahoo is the master of the Indian Strap Match. He's known for his thick, heavy hands that can bring a man to his knees.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Wahoo McDaniel is a legend in his own right. And finally?
Blackjack Mulligan: Finally, we've got "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer from St. Petersburg, Florida. He's 5-11 and 242 pounds of pure fury. Known for his Powerslam and overall violent demeanor, Buzz is a force to be reckoned with in the Bullpen.
[As Mulligan finishes introducing Buzz Sawyer, the camera captures the intensity in the room. Lanza is still visibly upset, but he takes a step back, folding his arms and listening.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: There you have it, folks. The Texas Fight League is shaping up to be something truly spectacular with fighters like Blackjack Lanza, Wahoo McDaniel, and "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer. Blackjack, any final words?
Blackjack Mulligan: Gene, the Texas Fight League is going to bring the raw, unfiltered action that fans crave. We've got the best fighters, the best atmosphere, and the best fans. Stay tuned, because you won't want to miss what's coming next.
[The camera zooms out as Mean Gene, Blackjack Mulligan, and Blackjack Lanza share a tense yet hopeful glance, hinting at the drama and excitement to come in the Texas Fight League.]

[The scene shifts to a quieter corner of Billy Bob's Texas, where Blackjack Mulligan and Blackjack Lanza sit at a small table. The interview crowd has dispersed, and the two men are deep in conversation, their expressions serious yet hopeful.]
Blackjack Lanza: Mulligan, I just don't understand why you didn't bring me in on this from the start. We've been through a lot together, and it feels like you left me out in the cold.
Blackjack Mulligan: Lanza, you're right, and I owe you an apology. The truth is, I had to make a quick move to secure the opportunity to host the Texas Fight League here at Billy Bob's. If I had waited, we might have lost the chance altogether.
Blackjack Lanza: I get it, but it still stings, you know? We've always been partners, and I thought we'd be in this together from the get-go.
Blackjack Mulligan: I hear you, and I regret not discussing it with you beforehand. Our friendship and partnership mean a lot to me, and I want to make things right. Let's work on an agreement to bring you in as an investor and co-owner in the Texas Fight League. This league wouldn't be the same without you.
Blackjack Lanza: That sounds more like it, Mulligan. I want to be a part of this, not just as a fighter but as someone who's invested in its success. We've got something special here, and I want to help it grow.
Blackjack Mulligan: Absolutely. Together, we can make the Texas Fight League something truly legendary. And speaking of partnerships, I've been thinking about bringing in my son, Barry Windham, as well. He's got the talent and the drive to be a major player in this league.
Blackjack Lanza: Barry's a natural, no doubt about that. Having him on board would only strengthen our roster and bring more eyes to the league. Plus, keeping it in the family sounds like a solid move.
Blackjack Mulligan: Agreed. Barry's got the passion for this sport, and he could bring a lot to the table both inside and outside the Bullpen. I'll talk to him and see if he's interested in joining us.
Blackjack Lanza: I think it's a great idea. Let's get Barry involved and make this a family affair. With you, me, and Barry working together, the Texas Fight League is going to be unstoppable.
Blackjack Mulligan: You're right, Lanza. Let's put the past behind us and move forward together. We'll draft up the agreement and get things rolling. Here's to a bright future for the Texas Fight League and our partnership.
[The two men raise their glasses in a toast, their expressions now filled with determination and camaraderie. The camera captures the moment as they clink their glasses, solidifying their renewed partnership and shared vision for the Texas Fight League.]
Blackjack Lanza: To the Texas Fight League, and to us. Let's make history.
Blackjack Mulligan: To us, and to the future. Let's show the world what we've got.
[The scene fades out with the two friends sharing a moment of mutual respect and anticipation for the exciting journey ahead.]

[The scene opens with a packed house at Billy Bob's Texas. The crowd is buzzing with anticipation as Blackjack Mulligan and Mean Gene Okerlund sit at a small table near the bull ring, enjoying their beverages. The Bullpen is set up in the middle of the ring, ready for the next wave of introductions for the Texas Fight League.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, what an incredible night it has been so far here at Billy Bob's Texas! The energy is off the charts, and we have some more exciting introductions to make. I'm here with the one and only Blackjack Mulligan. Blackjack, how are you feeling tonight?
Blackjack Mulligan: Gene, I couldn't be happier. The fans are fired up, the fighters are ready, and the Texas Fight League is off to an amazing start. We've got some real characters to introduce tonight, and I can't wait to see how the crowd reacts.
Mean Gene Okerlund: Let's get right to it. Our first fighter hails from New York City. Standing at 6-6 and weighing in at 290 pounds, he's rich, extremely arrogant, and thinks he's above the patrons of Billy Bob's Texas. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome John Bradshaw Layfield!
[The spotlight shifts to the entrance as John Bradshaw Layfield, dressed in an expensive suit, steps into the arena. The crowd immediately reacts with boos and chants of "drugstore cowboy," expressing their disdain. JBL smirks arrogantly, clearly relishing the reaction.]
John Bradshaw Layfield: (Shouting over the boos) You people are just jealous because you'll never have the class and wealth that I do! You're all beneath me!
Mean Gene Okerlund: Well, Blackjack, it seems JBL has made quite the impression on the crowd. Moving on to our next fighter, hailing from Borger, Texas, standing at 6-3 and weighing in at 322 pounds, he's a little out there but undeniably tough. Give it up for Stan "The Lariat" Hansen!
[Stan Hansen storms into the arena, swinging his trademark lariat above his head. The crowd gives a mixed reaction, some cheering for his toughness while others are wary of his unpredictable nature.]
Blackjack Mulligan: Stan Hansen is as tough as they come, Gene. You never know what you're going to get with him, but one thing's for sure—he's always ready for a fight.
Mean Gene Okerlund: And finally, ladies and gentlemen, we have a man who needs no introduction. From The Bandidos Motorcycle Club in Southwest Texas, standing at 6-1 and weighing in at 249 pounds, he's a pure, fearless brawler and a known enforcer for the Bandidos. Give a warm welcome to Jammer!
[Jammer strides into the arena, his presence intimidating. The crowd falls into a hush, awed by his sheer presence. He wears his Bandidos colors proudly and exudes a menacing aura.]
Blackjack Mulligan: Jammer is not someone you want to cross paths with, Gene. He's a true brawler, fearless and relentless. He's going to bring a whole new level of intensity to the Texas Fight League.
Mean Gene Okerlund: What an incredible lineup, folks. John Bradshaw Layfield, Stan "The Lariat" Hansen, and Jammer are set to make waves in the Texas Fight League. Blackjack, any final thoughts before we get back to the action?
Blackjack Mulligan: Gene, the Texas Fight League is about showcasing the best and the toughest. With fighters like these, we're set to deliver unmatched excitement and raw, unfiltered combat. Let's get back to the action and give these fans the show they came for!
[The camera pans out, capturing the crowd's excitement and the intensity of the moment. Blackjack Mulligan and Mean Gene Okerlund raise their glasses in a toast as the anticipation for the next match builds.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: There you have it, folks. Stay tuned, because the Texas Fight League is just getting started!
[The scene continues with the intense atmosphere at Billy Bob's Texas. The spotlight remains on Jammer as he stands in the Bullpen, his eyes locked on Blackjack Mulligan. The crowd senses the tension, and the noise begins to die down, creating an eerie silence.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: (Noticing the tension) Ladies and gentlemen, it seems that Jammer has something on his mind. Blackjack, it looks like he wants to address something with you directly.
[Jammer steps forward, his expression fierce and determined. He gestures for a microphone, which is quickly handed to him. He takes a deep breath before speaking, his voice carrying a tone of barely-contained anger.]
Jammer: Mulligan, I've got a problem with you, and I ain't leaving here until it's sorted out. You think you can just roll into town, start this Texas Fight League, and not deal with the consequences of your past?
Blackjack Mulligan: (Standing up, walking toward the ring) Jammer, I don't know what you're talking about. If you've got an issue, let's hear it.
Jammer: (Glaring) Oh, you know damn well what I'm talking about. You think you can sweep everything under the rug and move on like nothing happened? Well, not on my watch. You left the Bandidos in a mess, and now you're trying to pretend like it never happened.
Blackjack Mulligan: (Firmly) Jammer, I brought you into this league because I know what you're capable of. This isn't about the past; it's about what we can do now.
Jammer: (Shouting) Capable? You think that's all this is about? You owe me, Mulligan. You left me and my brothers hanging when we needed you the most. And now you think you can just waltz in here and everything's fine?
Mean Gene Okerlund: (Stepping in to mediate) Gentlemen, let's try to keep this professional. Jammer, what exactly do you want from Blackjack Mulligan?
Jammer: (Glaring at Mulligan) I want respect. I want an acknowledgment of what happened. And I want a shot at proving I'm not just some enforcer for the Bandidos. I want a match with you, Mulligan, right here in this Bullpen.
Blackjack Mulligan: (Nodding) You want a match with me? Fine. But let's make one thing clear—this isn't about the past. This is about proving who we are right now. You want to settle this in the Bullpen? You've got it.
Jammer: (Grinning) That's all I needed to hear. Get ready, Mulligan, because I'm going to remind you why they call me Jammer.
[The crowd erupts in anticipation as the challenge is accepted. The tension between Jammer and Blackjack Mulligan is palpable, setting the stage for an explosive confrontation in the Bullpen.]
Mean Gene Okerlund: There you have it, folks! A challenge has been issued and accepted! Blackjack Mulligan versus Jammer in the Bullpen! This is going to be one for the ages!
[The camera captures the intense expressions on both Jammer and Blackjack Mulligan's faces as the crowd's excitement builds to a fever pitch. The Texas Fight League is about to witness a showdown that promises to be unforgettable.]

BULLPEN MATCH
Jammer VS Blackjack Mulligan
Rules - The fighters fight in a 20 foot circular animal pen composed of steel bars (like you may see on a ranch or farm) Texas Death Match rules apply Fight continues until one man cannot continue
At the start, Jammer dodges an elbow from Mulligan and hits a DDT into the dirt A dazed Mulligan is then startled further with an atomic drop from Jammer Jammer then whips Mulligan into the steel Jammer attempts a running clothesline but Mulligan moves in time and Jammer collides headfirst with the steel, creating an audible "clang" Jammer falls face first into the dirt and is knocked out cold
Your winner in 59 seconds, Blackjack Mulligan
MEAN GENE OKERLUND - Blackjack Mulligan, congratulations on your victory in the first ever Bullpen Match, your thoughts BLACKJACK MULLIGAN - Gene, that was just like 200 AM at the Ol' Rock Inn, where men stepped outside to settle their differences, and that's exactly what we did. I see Jammer is being attended to by paramedics, and I'm being told he may have a concussion, we'll see, but when he comes back he will have a spot here in TXFL. But for right now, call Mama from the kitchen, get the kids outta the bed, because with action like this, the TXFL is going to be around for awhile. Thanks for being here, Gene (strolls off) MEAN GENE OKERLUND - Thank you Blackjack Mulligan. That brings to seven the number of fighters signed for the TXFL, with more to come. Until next time, I'm Mean Gene Okerlund from Billy Bob's Texas, so long everybody!
