Welcome wrestling fans to another edition of the Texas Fight League from here inside Billy Bob's Texas. As always, I'm Mean Gene Okerlund. My colleagues, Blackjack Mulligan and Blackjack Lanza are not with me today as they are part of the cleanup and rebuilding going on behind me here at Billy Bob's Texas. You will recall two days ago the massive brawl we had to end the show, as all 11 female fighters and all 11 male fighters got into it in the end, nearly destroying the inside of Billy Bob's Texas in the process. Today we are going to show you some unreleased footage from after the show went off the air involving all the fighters, which will bring us to where we are now. Let's take a look
(We go to two days ago, as a massive brawl is taking place inside Billy Bob's Texas among all the fighters. Blackjack Mulligan, after trying to restore order and failing to do so, grabs the house microphone)
BLACKJACK MULLIGAN
(Yelling) Alright, alright, THAT'S ENOUGH, THAT'S ENOUGH! (Security begins separating the fighters and order is gradually restored). Since you all want to fight so bad, why don't we just start the proceedings RIGHT HERE AND NOW! (Huge pop throughout BBT) ALRIGHT THEN! Gentlemen, I need you all to settle down and get ready, and ladies, you all need to get in the ring. We're gonna settle this Texas style, a good ol' come as you are BATTLE ROYAL! (Crowd pops again) Here's how this works....the winners of each battle royal earn an automatic berth in the inaugural title matches here in five weeks. In other words, you get to watch everyone else beat each other up and rest up! So the stakes are high. Let's get some referees out here to maintain order and let's make the Ol' Rock Inn proud!

Welcome to TXFL This Week, the brand new program that highlights all the news that’s fit to print in the Texas Fight League. As you saw this past weekend, Bloody Marry McDonnell and Wolf both won their respective Come As You Are Battle Royals and have earned the first spots in their respective TXFL Title Matches, which will take place in five weeks at SUMMER SMASH, live from the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, TX, with your host Terry Funk. Rumor has it Terry may be wishing to come out of retirement again and go for one more run with TXFL, and with the Ol’ Funker, you know anything is possible.
Let’s get to the news this week in TXFL. After the events of last week at Billy Bob’s Texas, Blackjack Mulligan and Blackjack Lanza were forced to reach out for investors to cover the repairs needed to bring Billy Bob’s Texas back into shape, and boy did they find some investors indeed! Forming The Coalition, as Blackjack Mulligan has named them, we have of course The Blackjacks, Mulligan and Lanza, plus we also have “The Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin, the son of Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windham, the legendary “Raging Bull” Manny Fernandez, and MMA and wrestling legend, “The Predator” Don Frye.
Mulligan also announced that he has formed a Women’s Coalition as well, naming as members “The Motorcycle Mama” Peggy Lee Leather, “Cowgirl” Wendi Richter, Keiko “Bull” Nakano, “The Real Deal” Selina Majors, “Sensational” Sherri Martel, and “The Black Widow” Victoria. How The Coalitions fit into the overall scheme of things is something Blackjack Mulligan would not tell me, only promising that we would find out at the end of the first block of competition in four weeks.
Based on the order of elimination in both Battle Royals, our first set of matches is set for this coming Saturday at Billy Bob’s Texas.

THE PRESS CONFERENCE
On the eve of Week 1 competition at Billy Bob's Texas, a press conference is held inside BBT. Both coalitions are present. Blackjack Mulligan approaches the podium
BLACKJACK MULLIGAN
We'd like to welcome you all to Billy Bob's Texas, the greatest Honky Tonk in the world since the Ol' Rock Inn (laughter) and the official home of the Texas Fight League. You will see our nickname, or brand, if you will, is TXFL, which gives us infinite possibilities for merchandising, signage, and the like. If you don't know already, let me bring you up to speed on what's happened so far. We had two come-as-you-are Battle Royals to determine the interim champions heading into our first Live Event, SUMMER SMASH. Please welcome on the Men's Side, The Original Apex Predator, Wolf, and on the Women's Side, The Runaway Train, Bloody Marry Mcdonnell
(Both interim champions come to the stage and acknowledge the crowd. Wolf holds up the TXFL Championship in black and chrome, and BMM holds up the TXFL Women's Championship in purple and chrome. They then take seats.)
So I've been asked why we are having "coalitions". Well, it's like this....we don't plan on being a traditional wrestling company. We're going to be a combination of professional wrestling, Hell's Kitchen, and maybe a dash of Survivor. What that means is this.....we will rank our fighters based on wins and losses and a point system, and at the end of each four week block, the lowest four ranked fighters on each side will be up for elimination. Whether or not they get eliminated is up to the spin of the wheel (indicates large wheel behind podium), and who they may have to fight, well, that may be one of US or in some cases, may be ALL of us. There's something for you to chew on, and we'll talk more about that in week four.
Let me at this time introduce our play by play guy and our color commentators. Holding down play by play is, in my book, a Texas legend, please welcome Mark Lowrance, and please also welcome on color commentary, wrestling legends Paul Ellering and Tammy Lynn Sytch!

So I have a question about the Women's Coalition....so, like, you've got all these legendary ladies on the podium, and then you've got........HER (pointing to Peggy Lee Leather)......and whatever that is (pointing to Bull Nakano. Peggy and Bull look at each other and rise from their seats to approach the podium. BJM happily concedes the podium)

Well, as I see it it's like this....someone needs to control you spoiled, entitled maneaters and put you in your places when necessary (Huge crowd pop). Yeah I said it, MANEATERS! Especially you Nikki Bella. You're nothing more than a high maintenance, closet alcoholic whose greatest talent is shaking her ass! (crowd erupts in WHOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA as Nikki and Brie try to storn the stage, but are held back by security). So it sounds like you're looking for a fight, and it's a fight you'll get. You got the guts to show up here tomorrow night, we'll take it to the Bullpen. What do you think of that, Bull?

We are live deep in the heart of Texas, at World Famous Billy Bob’s Texas, and they’re lined up outside for the hottest ticket in town, that is, the debut of The Texas Fight League
INSIDE TO THE COMMENTARY TEAM
Good evening everybody and welcome to this edition of The Texas Fight League on FOX Sports. Alongside wrestling legends Paul Ellering and Tammy Lynn Sytch, I’m Mark Lowrance. A full card set up for tonight here in the grand ballroom here at Billy Bob’s Texas, and also in the bull ring where you see our 20 foot square animal pen set up in the dirt, as we start off with two grudge matches set up by last week’s press conference. First, the always tough Peggy Lee Leather squares off against “Total Diva” Nikki Garcia (At the mention of Total Diva, Tammy Lynn Sytch rolls her eyes), then after that Bull Nakano faces off against Brie Garcia. Tammy, I’ll turn to you, I saw your eyeroll when I mentioned Nikki Garcia……
TAMMY LYNN SYTCH
Well, yeah, because Nikki Garcia is trying to live off past fame and it just makes me sick to my stomach. Hopefully she put down the wine glass and took this seriously because I know Peggy Lee Leather is ready to go. I’m sure you guys know this, but here in TXFL personal disputes will be settled in what we call a Bullpen Match, where you fight inside a 20-foot square animal pen on a dirt floor inside the bull riding arena. It’s Texas Death Match rules, last woman standing wins.
PAUL ELLERING
Well Said Tammy, and let me add, the Texas Fight League is going to be different than anything that’s been done before in professional wrestling. I’ve already put out the call to Hawk and Animal and told them, come on down boys, you’re going to love this…….

And with that, let’s head down to the bull ring and our ring announcer, Gavin Loudspeaker
GAVIN LOUDSPEAKER
Our first bout of the evening is a BULLPEN MATCH! This is conducted under Texas Death Match rules inside this 20-foot square animal pen. If either fighter is pinned, they have a 10-count to continue. The last fighter standing wins.
NIKKI GARCIA VS PEGGY LEE LEATHER – BULLPEN MATCH
Conducted in a 20-foot square animal pen constructed of steel bars
Referee is only in ring to count pins and administer 10 count
After a long lockup, Nikki takes control, whipping Peggy hard into the steel bars, and hitting an Alabama Slam on the rebound. Another whip to the bars sends Peggy down and Nikki scores the first fall. Peggy is up at 7. That would be the last time Nikki would have any offense, as Peggy scored five consecutive falls afterward. Nikki was game, and would not stay down. Peggy then hits a thunderous LAST CALL clothesline that keeps Nikki down for good.
WINNER – Peggy Lee Leather at 6:17
The other members of the coalition dragged a beaten and filthy Nikki Garcia out of the ring and out of the building, then dump her at the door of the Garcias’ bus, where Brie looks on in shock. Bull Nakano looks directly at Brie and says “You’re Next”
BRIE GARCIA VS BULL NAKANO – BULLPEN MATCH
This match was all Bull Nakano, although Brie did have her moments. Brie unable to get up after a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP at 9:42
WINNER – BULL NAKANO
The other members of the coalition dragged another beaten, filthy Garcia back to her bus and dump her there as well. Peggy Lee says “Maybe next time they’ll show some respect”

I decided to come down here, have dinner, take a look and see what’s goin’ on. I ain’t here to fight – YET – but when I do show up, and I will, I promise you all these wannabe tough guys are going to know what real tough is……

An interesting start to the Texas Fight League, two Bullpen Matches and talk about a secret tattoo. We’re ready to get started with the main card, and up to the ring we go.
MATCH #1 – “JUGGERNAUT” JORDYNNE GRACE VS “THE BORN LEGEND” TESSA BLANCHARD
Tessa nearly got a quick victory outside the ring by luring Jordynne Grace outside in the early going. She would do damage with three quick near falls which Jordynne could not mount any offense from. Tessa takes the win with a Senton Bomb at 6:30
WINNER – TESSA BLANCHARD
MATCH #2 – EDDIE MARLIN VS BAD NEWS ALLEN
Not a lot of people were giving the veteran Eddie Marlin a chance against Bad News Allen. Marlin responded by fighting Allen evenly throughout the bout, then turning the tide in his favor by sending Allen into a table outside the ring. After that Marlin kept up the pressure and scored the pin with a clothesline and a tight cover at 7:22. Bad News Allen was upset, and that’s no understatement!
WINNER – EDDIE MARLIN
MATCH #3 – “THE NINTH WONDER OF THE WORLD” JOANIE LAURER VS “THE LATINA SENSATION”
MERCEDES MARTINEZ
Mercedes controlled the first three minutes, but after cutting Joanie open on the outside, Joanie lost it and spent the next three minutes obliterating Mercedes. Joanie wins with an emphatic POWERBOMB at 6:46
WINNER – JOANIE LAURER
MATCH #4 – WAHOO MCDANIEL VS “THE RUSSIAN ASSASSIN” KRAKAN
This was a highly anticipated matchup and it did not disappoint. There were chops and strikes aplenty, and lots of fighting outside the ring for these two heavy hitters. Despite their best efforts, the match goes to a draw, and the crowd responds appreciatively.
15 MINUTE DRAW
MATCH #5 – LEYLA HIRSCH VS AWESOME KONG
Despite the size and power difference, Leyla Hirsch took the fight straight to Awesome Kong in the early going. The battle soon evolved into the speed and evasiveness of Leyla against the might and power of Kong. Kong finally began to turn the tide by cutting Leyla on the outside, but Leyla would rise up and fight back, scoring three near falls on Kong in rapid succession. Despite that, neither was willing to give an inch, and they would also fight to a draw.
15 MINUTE DRAW
MATCH #6 – “THE DAREDEVIL” RAD RACER VS “THE ONE, THE ONLY” THE CRUSHER
A near complete domination by Crusher. Although RR was tough to pin, he could not mount any sustainable offense. Crusher wins by elbow drop at 5:38
WINNER – THE CRUSHER
MATCH #7 – “THE QUEEN OF SPADES” SHAYNA BASZLER VS JAZZ
This match spends as much time outside the ring as it does in the ring. The end comes via ARM BAR from Shayna Baszler, leaving Jazz no choice but to tap out at 9:52

MATCH #8 – JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD (JBL) VS “DR DEATH” STEVE WILLIAMS
JBL drew the most heat of the night for his overall superior attitude, making Steve Williams the solid crowd favorite in this match. In the ring, they fought evenly, but outside the ring JBL angered Williams with a guardrail whip. Williams responded in kind and drew a public warning for the velocity. It did the job, as JBL was never a threat after that. Williams scored the pin after several suplexes and two OKLAHOMA STAMPEDES at 5:27
WINNER – STEVE WILLIAMS
MATCH #9 – JACQUELINE VS THUNDER ROSA
A match dominated by Jacqueline inside and outside the ring. Jacqueline manages to cut Rosa open on a table outside the ring and wins with a TORNADO DDT at 7:24
WINNER – JACQUELINE
MATCH #10 – STAN “THE LARIAT” HANSEN VS “MAD DOG” BUZZ SAWYER
As most were expecting, this match was a brawl from beginning to end. Both fighters were cut, but it did not slow them down. Although Stan Hansen was the only one to score a near fall, the match would end in a draw which did not satisfy either fighter at all

We're here in the grand ballroom at Billy Bob's Texas for TXFL This Week. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund.
Coming of the heels of Week 1-1 in competition in the Texas Fight League, I can tell you that there's NO hotter ticket in town. Some great brawls highlighted Week One, let's take a minute to look at some highlights.....

- PEGGY LEE LEATHER DEFEATING NIKKI GARCIA AND DUMPING HER BACK AT HER RV
- A BLOODY JOANIE LAURER OBLITERATING MERCEDES MARTINEZ
- EDDIE MARLIN'S SURPRISE PIN OF BAD NEWS ALLEN AND HIS REACTION AFTERWARD
- LEYLA HIRSCH, COVERED IN BLOOD, AND AWESOME KONG FIGHTING TO A DRAW
- STEVE WILLIAMS STAMPEDING JBL SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE PINNING HIM
- STAN HANSEN AND BUZZ SAWYER FIGHTING ALL OVER THE PLACE
On the injury front, Joanie Laurer and Leyla Hirsch suffered nasty cuts, but both say they're good to go for their matches this Saturday. Thunder Rosa suffered a small cut that will not keep her out of action, as did Buzz Sawyer and Stan Hansen during their brawl. TXFL reported a total gate of $234,890 and profited $146,938 on the evening, a great start in any book

Off and running brother awsomsinger! A lot of groovy results, especially the victories by The Crusher and Eddie Marlin. Even liked the draws. Going to be interesting to see how the next three cards shake out. I'll be there. Thanks for putting me and Rosita in the show! It's funny, I was just listening to the Van Halen song, "Tattoo" when I read that lol. I always want cheesesteak when I catch up on TXFL. Rock on! |
