GWN - Galactic Wrestling News December 17, 2087 GWF News and Rumors We have learned the identities of the three "Ani-Men" signed to the GWF. Incredible Badger is an accomplished veteran and considered one of Andromeda 13's greatest tag team wrestlers off all time. Battering Ram is a tough as nails, no nonsense bruiser who thrives in no holds barred matches and Reptillo is an exciting up and comer with a ton of talent and potential. There is no idea yet on how the Alliance will deploy these three exciting additions to their side. The Federation Defense Fighters have signed Adam Blast. He is being trained by Commander Sam personally and the two will form a tag team called Bomb Squad. The FDF's plan is to start reducing Commander Sam's load so his performance doesn't fall off of a cliff like Omega. Speaking of Omega, there is speculation that he will retire shortly, and is still working hard behind the scenes to get the by-laws changed to allow full time managers / trainers into the GWF. It does not look like we will be seeing Pretty in Pink in action after Vanity returns. Rumor has it that Thantos wants Killer Queen to step up against the FDF and told Vanity to find a new tag team partner. After seeing the GWF up close and personal, Spike has decided to join the Confederation. He is a great pick up and most insiders think he will be a serious title contender on day one. Invincible Krakan has recruited a wrestler call Splatter. No one knows his true identity or where Krakan found him, but there are unsubstantiated rumors that he was recently institutionalized in an insane asylum.

Booking Committee Meeting Minutes December 19, 2087 Attendees Omega - (Chairman) Thantos Lord Nexus Exo-King Invincible Krakan Commander Sam The meeting was called to order by Omega at 1:04 PM I. Review of annual revenues - Omega presented a tally of all gross and net gate receipts for the year (See attachment A), stated that the GWF was in very good financial shape and should very seriously consider further expansion of the Federation. Upon completion of his presentation, Invincible Krakan inquired about a forthcoming title match opportunity for himself. II. Talent scouting and recruitment - Omega reported out that there are currently 36 wrestlers on the roster (19 Alliance and 17 Confederation), representing a 38% growth of roster size. He also noted that based on the performance of the new additions to the roster over the past year, and scouting reports on those signed and yet to debut; he believes that the talent level of the GWF is increasing overall. The GWF is attracting quality wrestlers, there are no indications that expansion is "watering down" the product. Thantos reported that he has reached verbal agreement with two additional wrestlers and expects to have their contacts submitted to the front office by close of business tomorrow. Thantos also reminded Omega that per the by-laws, he can freely hire wrestlers in order to keep pace with the Alliance. Omega has no authority to review or reject the contracts being submitted. Invincible Krakan forcefully inquired about a forthcoming title match opportunity for himself. New Business
III. Adjustments to the show schedule - Omega provided the committee with market research (Attachment B) that showed that the sweet spot for wrestling events was having five or six matches per card. Larger cards did not seem to increase holovision buy rates appreciably (except as special events) and smaller cards had a significant negative impact on in-house attendance. Omega blocks out a months worth of matches for a 38 man roster and explains that if the roster stays healthy they can start running three events a month. Exo-King asked what would happen if wrestlers are injured. Omega proposes to introduce a monthly B card in smaller arenas, with the marketing folks figuring out branding. They could still fill those arenas with four match events. They can also painlessly cancel them if the roster is too banged up to support it. Thantos made a motion to implement this plan. Lord Nexus seconded. The measure passed unanimously IV. Galaxian Championship Title Match - Invincible Krakan demanded a title shot against Wolf. Thantos reminded him of Robert's Rules of Order. Invincible Krakan made a motion that he, the best wrestler of the GWF, should receive the next title match against Wolf. Lord Nexus insisted that the motion strike "the best wrestler of the GWF". Thantos seconded the amended motion. The motion passed 5-0 (Lord Nexus abstaining). V. GWF Managers, Trainers and Valets - Omega explained to the Committee that it was already becoming difficult to have wrestlers pull double duty for all of the necessary business functions required by the GWF and that the future growth of the Federation depended upon the inclusion of non-wrestlers into the organization. Thantos made a passionate rebuttal explaining that the success of the GWF was driven by its authenticity and that for over a decade Omega had worked tirelessly and ruthlessly to keep outside influences away from any power or decision making authority. And now, when his time is finally up, he suddenly wants to change the rules so they suit him. Omega asked Thantos who would handle the countless items that he stays on top of if he retires. Thantos shrugged. Commander Sam realized that Lord Nexus was not completely on-board with the idea and made a motion to table the decision to allow non-wrestlers into the GWF for one year. Thantos quickly seconded it. The motion passed 5-0 (Omega abstaining). VI. Female Wrestlers - Lord Nexus made a motion to officially open the GWF to women and to begin actively recruiting to build a women's division. He mentions that he has been training a woman named Hale and that she could probably beat half of the men on the roster. Omega expressed concern that they are just beginning to establish a hardcore division and that will need to be the focus for the upcoming year. What Lord Nexus is asking for is too much. Invincible Krakan made a series of inquiries regarding Lord Nexus' intelligence, manhood and the pariculars of his training sessions with Hale. Lord Nexus took exception to this line of questioning and had to be restrained by Commander Sam. Omega called a ten minute recess. VI. Female Wrestlers (continued) - After return from recess, Thantos made a motion to change the Federation by-laws to allow women. Lord Nexus seconded. This motion passed 4-2 (nay votes Exo-King & Omega). Thantos then made a second motion to restrict GWF women to "per match" contracts until which point in time the Booking Committee formally votes to establish a Women's Division. This motion passed 5-1 (nay vote Lord Nexus). With no further business, the Booking Committee adjourned at 4:24 PM.
