Really likes the layout of the card from the Motor City with a great build to the main event. The six man tag battle was entertaining and I enjoyed the finish. Andre will be looking for some payback against Mad Dog which might be an interesting contrast in styles. What a run for The Hammer with the International Strap. Great main event with The Beast picking up the big win. The rematch should be great.

Thanks for the comments Crimson, Pariah and Bookerbill. I had a lot of fun rolling out that card and of course being able to post it here. Dan Severn is in line for a title rematch and Andre will be getting a singles match with Mad Dog Vachon upcoming. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the next show courtesy of Pacific Coast Wrestling...
LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Olympic Auditorium - Los Angeles, CA (Card #926)
1) Playboy Buddy Rose defeated George South: The opening contest saw George South of ASW take on Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. member Playboy Buddy Rose. “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe was not at ringside for Rose who was instead accompanied by eight-time SHIMMER champion Sherri Martel, his longtime girlfriend. Rose was beaming with confidence but that soon wore off as South dominated most of the early action. South scored a near fall with a suplex and then came off of the top rope with a flying bodypress but Martel distracted the referee preventing a pin. Rose battled back and used a foreign object to choke South scoring a two count and then hit the Bombs Away but he pulled him up by the hair before the three count. Martel shouted out instructions to Rose who weathered a comeback by South and then executed a DDT to score the pin. Martel jumped into the ring post-match and kissed Rose before grabbing the mic and saying that maybe she would start the “Sherri Sports Agency”. That was an interesting statement as it showed that there could be some tension brewing between Rose and Sharpe.
2) April Hunter & Joyce Grable defeated Rockin Robin & Sumie Sakai: The stars of Ring Angels were in action as Rockin Robin & Sumie Sakai teamed up to do battle with April Hunter & Joyce Grable. The latter team had an edge in power and they used that to their advantage to dominate the bout. Robin had a rough go of it as Hunter and Grable prevented her from tagging out leaving a frustrated Sakai on the ring apron. Hunter hit the Fisherman suplex and power bomb in succession at one point. Robin finally countered and tagged Sakai but she fared no better against their opponents. It was Grable that won it when she nailed Sakai with the Middle Rope Dropkick and covered her scoring a snake eyes pin.
3) John Tolos defeated P.N. News: The popular “Rapmaster” P.N. News took on the rugged “Golden Greek” John Tolos in a highly anticipated match. Tolos has a long history in the Olympic Auditorium and the locals greeted him with jeers based on his past actions in the building. The “Golden Greek” was not fazed by that reception and he quickly pounced on News dominating most of the early action. He hit the Flying Knee Drop twice for near falls but on the second one News kicked out with authority. News attempted to rally but Tolos countered a backdrop off of the ropes with a big kick to the head. A short time later it was Tolos taking News down and grinding on his temple with the Corkscrew resulting in a submission victory. Tolos grabbed the mic post-match and said that “Wrestling is spelled T-O-L-O-S” and that he will dominate all opponents in PCW.
4) Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, & Dutch Savage defeated The Sandman & Texas Hangmen: Exciting six-man tag team action saw “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, & Dutch Savage join forces to face The Sandman & Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho). The Sandman was riding high coming into this one as he defeated Snuka in a singles match on the last PCW card. He hoped to repeat that success and the crowd was buzzing whenever he and Snuka squared off. There was also some buzz when Piper got in there with The Sandman as the two strong personalities engaged in some hard hitting action. The Sandman dominated Piper at one point hitting both the White Russian Legsweep and Heinekenrana. The Hangman used their effective double-team attacks to control at one point that would not matter in the end. The finish saw Snuka and Savage fending off The Sandman and Psycho while Piper blasted Killer with a Knee Lift to score a snake eyes pin. Piper and Snuka had a little post-match fun taking turns with the Singapore Cane of The Sandman using it on him and both of the Hangmen. The Sandman was irate afterward and he grabbed the mic saying that Snuka has a target on his back and that he will see him on the next PCW card in Portland, OR (Card #940).
5) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Roderick Strong© defeated Pepper Gomez to retain the title: The LOW Tex-Arkana Television title was on the line as the popular Pepper Gomez challenged defending champion Roderick Strong for the championship. Strong was accompanied by his manager Truth Martini who taunted Gomez with his Book of Truth. Gomez frustrated the manager early as he had Strong in serious trouble early nearly putting him away with a sleeper hold and then scoring near falls with the criss cross smash and flying elbowdrop (ch). Strong came back and twice hit the Sick Kick on Gomez for two counts. He also connected with the Gibson Driver and Olympic Slam. It looked to be over when Strong hit End of Heartache but somehow Gomez kicked out just before the three count. Both men were busted open after battling on the outside and Gomez gained control executing the Mexican Cradle but he was distracted by Martini. Gomez took care of that by decking the hated manager knocking him off of the ring apron but then he turned right into a Sick Kick by Strong resulting in the pin. Strong retained the title in his version seven defense against a very determined challenger in Gomez.
6) Mil Mascaras defeated Konnan: Freelance star Mil Mascaras, the “Man of 1,000 Masks” and a record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, faced a strong challenge in the form of Konnan, a member of Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. Konnan jumped Mascaras at ringside as he greeted the fans and ran him hard into the ring post. He then tossed him into the ring and hit the 187 for a quick one count. Konnan kept up his attack and had Mascaras in serious trouble in the early going. He locked on the Tequila Sunrise going for the submission but Mascaras was able to grab the bottom rope for a break. Mascaras was very frustrated being on the defensive but he finally avoided a seated dropkick and hit the slingshot plancha. He then trapped Konnan in the octopus and bow and arrow hold nearly scoring a submission victory. The two traded the advantage from there until Mascaras, after winning a battle on the floor, came off of the top rope with his trademark Flying Bodypress to score the pin. The crowd cheered the victory by Mascaras who overcame serious odds to get his hand raised. A most interesting development took place after the match as Playboy Buddy Rose and Sherri Martel came out to assist Konnan to the back as his manager, “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe, was not at the building.
7) Texas Death Match: Curt Hennig defeated Tom Prichard: Following two tough and controversial losses to Tom Prichard it was a determined Curt Hennig putting his PCW career on the line in this Texas Death Match. Hennig had agreed to leave PCW if he lost and Prichard was all too happy to accept the opportunity to force him out. It proved to be a mistake as a focused Hennig took over on offense quickly and snared Prichard in the Hennig Plex scoring the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Hennig not only kept his career in PCW alive but put Prichard away in record time. Prichard was furious and he attacked Hennig afterward only to have the tables quickly turned. Hennig looked to deal out some serious punishment but then he was jumped from behind by none other than The Mountie! Last seen in the GWA, The Mountie was looking to deal out some of his own justice and teamed with Prichard to tie up Hennig in the ropes. He then went to use the Shock Stick but before he could do so Larry “The Axe” Hennig ran in brandishing a chair chasing both him and Prichard out of the ring. Larry helped Curt out of the ropes and the disgusted father and son team called for The Mountie and Prichard to face them in the ring. Prichard balked but then said if they want to “lose so bad” that he and The Mountie will meet them on the next PCW card in Portland, OR (Card #940).
8) LOW World tag team titles: Road Warriors© vs. The Grappler & Ray Stevens was a DDQ: The LOW World tag team titles were on the line in the main event as the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk, with manager Paul Ellering), record eight-time title holders, defended the belts against The Grappler & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens. The latter team have been very impressive in recent PCW performances and earned this chance to challenge for the belts. The Road Warriors used their size and power to their advantage in the early going. Animal used the double underhook slam and Hawk hit the gorilla press slam. A double clothesline took down The Grappler and later Animal blasted the masked man with a counter running lariat out of the corner. Stevens was very impressive during his time in controlling the action against both men. He made a critical mistake, though, going for a dive off of the top rope only to be met with a big clothesline by Hawk for a near fall. The tension built going into the final stretch which saw both teams battling on the outside of the ring. The referee tried to get things under control but it was to no avail and he called for the bell resulting in a double disqualification. The decision allowed the Road Warriors to have a successful version four defense of the titles but The Grappler and Stevens made a strong showing and could be in line for a rematch.

Oh, snap! Always love seeing an appearance by The Mountie... Should be a great match when he and Prichard face off against the father and son Hennig team...
Very cool to see Roddy Strong putting together such an impressive reign as LOW Tex-Arkana TV champ... And the Road Warriors are not doing to shabby with their own title run...
Six-man matches are always exciting... But, when you throw Piper and Sandman into the same ring... Look out! And now Sandman is declaring that Snuka is living on borrowed time... Superfly better keep those allies close because I don't think his new enemy is gonna be concerned with fair play...
Seeing regular updates from LOW again is so awesome... Can't wait to see what's next!

A match I use to love rolling is Mil Mascaras versus Konnan and it's too bad Konnan lost that match, but it's cool seeing Roderick Strong keep on rolling a long over Pepper Gomez and that's a good win for John Tolos...

Thanks for the comments Pariah and Crimson. I am hoping to have the next show posted from the GWA sometime this week. I knew that someone would enjoy the surprise debut of The Mountie! I was looking t move him from the GWA and the roll of doubles on the Hennig-Prichard finish made it a perfect spot for him to debut. I am hoping for some big things from him in PCW. Roderick Strong has had a solid run but that will be tested when he faces Bryan Danielson on an upcoming IWA card. Thanks as always for following along.

Enjoyed the story development with Rose & Martel making movement to become bigger players. Looking forward to Sandman battling the Superfly at the next card. Konnan gets the jump on Mascaras but cannot overcome the discrepancy in the card mechanics and comes out on the losing end. Hennig gets the quick win but the fans are treated to the next level of the feud with the arrival of The Mountie setting up some tag team bouts down the road. Main event was fun. Classic Warriors and the finish lets you bring Hawk & Animal back for a rematch (with or without the titles) at some point in the future. Really well structured and booked show.

Thanks for that breakdown of the last card Bookerbill. I brought Sherri Martel into PCW as I have now phased the b & w ladies cards out of SHIMMER. The b & w ladies cards have been regroued under the name Ring Angels so they will appear on my other territory cards. In the case of Sherri, though, I am going back to using her as being in a relationship with Playboy Buddy Rose and possibly shake up Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. Stay tuned. Next up is a big GWA card with history being made plus a mystery tag team partner revealed...
LOW Global Wrestling Association - Royal Albert Hall - London, England (Card #927)
1) Samoan Island Tribe defeated Backseat Boys: The Samoan Island Tribe (Alofa & Samu) took on the challenge of the Backseat Boys (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) appearing courtesy of ASW. Both teams were looking sharp in this one using some timely double-team attacks and scoring some near falls. The SIT scored the first near fall when Samu hit the Diving Headbutt on Acid. The Backseat Boys nearly won it by count out and then scored a big near fall on Samu after executing T-Gimmick. Another near fall came when Alofa missed with a dive off of the top rope and Acid caught him in a cradle hold. The finish of a hard fought battle saw Alofa hit the Samoan Drop on Kashmere to score the pin.
2) J.D. Michaels defeated 2 Cold Scorpio: The high flying 2 Cold Scorpio took on J.D. Michaels, a former LOW Junior Heavyweight champion, in what was a great bout. Scorpio had control early and looked to finish off Michaels with a handspring kick but he kicked out before the three count. Michaels struck back with a superplex and hit the Top Rope Elbow Drop for a big near fall. Another jump off of the top by Michaels resulted in both Scorpio and the referee going down. With the referee out of the way it was Michaels taking over with an aggressive attack. He had Scorpio pinned after a rolling fist drop but the referee was still down. Scorpio mounted a nice comeback hitting the Tumbleweed and the flip leg drop but he was unable to finish it. Instead it was Michaels hitting a second Top Rope Elbow Drop to score the pin. It was a huge win for Michaels who many feel is one of the more underrated competitors in LOW.
3) Mildred Burke defeated Jazz: The stars of Ring Angels took center stage at Royal Albert Hall as Mildred Burke, a two-time SHIMMER champion, took on the equally formidable Jazz. This match didn’t last long but the crowd was treated to some intense action from the two women. It was a simple counter by Burke that led to the finish as Jazz executed a rolling fireman’s carry but Burke quickly secured an arm wringer. Jazz attempted her own counter but Burke quickly took her down and trapped her in the Alligator Clutch and that resulted in a submission victory. Jazz has rarely, if ever, lost via submission and she was angry post-match while staring down Burke. The two women then went nose to nose before Jazz extended her hand and they shook on it knowing that a rematch would be just as intense as this match was.
4) Bob Roop defeated David Taylor: The crowd greeted Queensbury, Yorkshire, England, native David Taylor with a great round of applause as he entered the ring to take on Bob Roop, the former Olympian hailing out of Blacksburg, VA. The two technically sound combatants put on quite a showing here in what was a great back and forth match. Taylor held the upper hand at one point and used a sleeper hold on Roop before hitting the British Suplex for a big near fall. Roop came back hitting the gut wrench backbreaker and the spinning neckbreaker hoping to put Taylor away. The finish saw both men go down from a double clothesline off of the ropes and it was Roop recovering first. He sized up a stunned Taylor and caught him with a nicely executed Suplex to score the pin. It was a solid win for Roop but the crowd let Taylor know that his efforts in the match were greatly appreciated.
5) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Danny Hodge defeated Johnny Saint to win the title: The LOW Junior Heavyweight title was on the line as four-time champion Danny Hodge took on the man who defeated him for the belt in Johnny Saint, a two-time champion. Saint, hailing from Failsworth, Greater Manchester, England, received a thunderous ovation from the crowd as he held up the title belt. The two men shook hands following the instructions from the referee and the crowd settled in for what was expected to be an epic battle between two good friends as well as tag team partners in the GWA. Hodge dominated early and caught Saint with the Oklahoma Side Roll for a big near fall. He also punished Saint with the abdominal stretch and Indian Deathlock. Saint countered and went for the Johnny Saint Special by going into the turtle position but an alert Hodge avoided that. Saint would later come off of the top rope with a flying bodypress on Hodge for a two count. A great spot saw Saint going for a monkey flip but Hodge countered and rolled him into a Boston Crab. Saint showed great perseverance throughout the match but in the end it was Hodge catching him with a second Oklahoma Side Roll to score the pin. Hodge became a five-time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion winning an epic battle against his longtime friend. The crowd was disappointed over Saint losing the title but they gave Hodge a round of applause for his win and then cheered loudly as both men shook hands to finish off a great bout.
6) Giant Bernard defeated Bruiser Brody by DQ: Freelance star Bruiser Brody stormed the ring barking and swinging his chain as he took on the equally intimidating Giant Bernard. The two big men stared each other down preparing for a battle that would be quite the opposite of the LOW Junior Heavyweight title match. The two men traded stiff blows back and forth almost from the opening bell. Brody struck with the twisting vertical suplex, one hand bodyslam and a running legdrop the latter of which resulted in a near fall. Bernard hit the Bernard Bomb, running avalanche and the Bernard Driver scoring a near fall of his own. Late in the battle, after both men had fought on the floor several times, Brody caught Bernard with a piledriver resulting in another near fall. Bernard managed to bounce back and nailed Brody with a bicycle kick knocking him out of the ring. Bernard followed him out and he and Brody began brawling in front of the ringsiders. Brody gained the upper hand and grabbed his chain which he used to deck Bernard. Brody was not done there as he wrapped the chain around the neck of Bernard and whipped him head first into the ring post. The referee had seen enough and he called for the bell giving Bernard the victory via disqualification. The battle continued for several minutes afterward until LOW officials were able to pull them apart. Brody got in one last shot before grabbing his chain and storming back to the locker room area.
7) Jon Moxley & Tyler Black defeated Exotic Adrian Street & Paul London: The semi-final match saw the unhinged Jon Moxley come to the ring solo as the Exotic Adrian Street, accompanied by his valet Miss Linda, and Paul London stood their ground anticipating the arrival of the mystery partner. The crowd was at a fever pitch as Moxley grabbed the mic and said that he picked up the phone and called in a good friend of his who has also just signed a contract with the GWA. He said that Street and London had better keep their guard up and “shield” themselves from the impending assault as none other than Tyler Black hit the ring drawing big cheers from the crowd. The Davenport, IA, native looked ready for war and Street, London and Linda had to regroup knowing that there could be some real trouble going against a united Moxley and Black. Moxley seemed even more amped up than usual and he took the fight to both Street and London early. He caught Street with a running bulldog for a two count and also battered London out on the floor. The crowd popped big when Black got the tag and he hit big moves like the enzuigiri, flying forearm in corner and the diving knee strike. Street and London, with a little outside assist from Miss Linda, turned the tables late and had Moxley in serious trouble. That included a combined Assisted Shooting Star and a Crucifix by Street resulting in big near falls. Moxley would battle back, though, and a tag to Black reversed the momentum. Black was looking to make an impression in his GWA debut and he did just that when he nailed Street with the Curb Stomp to score the pin as Moxley prevented London from making the save.
8) LOW World Heavyweight title: George Hackenschmidt defeated Lou Thesz to win the title: Coming off of a tough count out loss to Dan Severn in Detroit, MI (Card #925), LOW World Heavyweight champion Lou Thesz had little time to rest as he took on an old rival in the form of the “Russian Lion” George Hackenschmidt. The two had some incredible battles over the LOW World Heavyweight title last year which saw Hackenschmidt win the belt from Thesz in Berlin, Germany (Card #856) before Thesz rebounded to regain the belt in New York, NY (Card #867). With the exception of that loss Thesz has had a stranglehold on the belt for over a year now including a successful fourteen title defenses combined over his two reigns. Hackenschmidt didn’t care about those numbers as his focus was on becoming the champion once again. Thesz nearly won it in the early going when he surprised Hackenschmidt with the Thesz Press resulting in a two count. Hackenschmidt answered that using his powerful Russian Bearhug for a submission chance. Hackenschmidt would go back to that hold several times during the match but Thesz refused to give in. A great sequence saw Thesz survive a counter running lariat out of the corner and come back with an airplane spin followed by another Thesz Press for a big near fall. The crowd was at a fever pitch leading to the finish which saw Hackenschmidt counter a rolling short arm scissors and trap Thesz in a bodyscissors. The punishing hold weakened the champion and as Thesz tried to escape it was Hackenschmidt alertly trapping him in the Twisting Heel Hook and that resulted in a submission victory and made Hackenschmidt a three-time LOW World Heavyweight champion. History was made for the second time on the night as Hackenschmidt joined Danny Hodge in winning championships. A disappointed Thesz left the ring to cheers from the crowd and he is most likely headed back to his home base of the SWA while the “Russian Lion” embarks on this third reign as the world heavyweight champion.

Although the arrival of Black to team up with Moxley came as little surprise, it was still truly exciting... Helluva match!
Thoroughly enjoyed the brutal confrontation between Brody and Bernard... And seeing Thesz finally drop the LOW World Heavyweight Championship after such an illustrious reign felt like a historic moment... Congrats to Hackenscmidt on his victory...
Awesome stuff, as always!

That's so cool seeing George Hackenschmidt take the gold, it'll be fun seeing how long his reign is and I liked that victory by SIT over the BB's...
