Thanks very much for the comments Bookerbill and Pariah. The Ospreay vs. Ricochet match was a blast and could have gone either way. The 630 Senton seems to do in Ricochet a lot unfortunately but if he hits it the reward is great. Gargano vs. Lethal was a good one as well but the tap out to the figure four cut off the match in a way I wasn't expecting hence the SoCal Val interference and chair attack to set up the finish. They actually were on the floor just prior to that so the finish makes sense. Pariah, I'm not sure what is next for Callihan though a rematch with James Morgan is in the pipeline and if you CRANE your neck hard enough you might see what the future holds for him in another territory. There are some strong factions currently in the IWA like The Shield, House of Truth and Pringle Dynasty and it looks like all three are stirring up trouble. Next up will be more IWA action with a spot show headlined by Mark & Jay Briscoe vs. All Night Express for the tag titles.

That was a fun IWA show, but man Will Ospreay taking the J-Crown from Ricochet is wild stuff. Ospreay for me did not do so well, so seeing him win the gold in your LOW cruefan68 is good to see...

Thanks my friend. Ospreay had been treading along not really doing much but I gave him the title opportunity and he came through. I'm hoping to turn that into a great rivalry with Ricochet.

IWA - Motor City Mayhem - Taylortown Trade Center - Taylor, MI (Card #1080)
1) James Morgan defeated Ron Hutchison: A match that was supposed to be featured on the last edition of IWA On The Mat took place here as Ron Hutchison faced James “Main Event” Morgan. This was a real blow for Morgan as IWA Commissioner David Marquez forced him to face Hutchison in the opener taking a shot at his “main event” status. Morgan instead faced Sami Callihan in the main event on the television broadcast and lost via submission drawing “You Tapped Out” chants from the crowd. Those continued here as an irate Morgan worked over Hutchson for a good stretch. He tortured him with a Fujiwara armbar at one point and then cut off a late rally by Hutchison locking on Closing Time, a crossface chicken wing, for a submission win. Morgan grabbed the mic post-match and said he never taps out but his opponents do.
2) Fred Yehi defeated Wild Bill White by DQ: Rising star Fred Yehi, formerly of Evolve, took on journeyman veteran star Wild Bill White. Yehi looked great in the early going including trapping White in the Koji Clutch for a submission chance. The action moved to the floor after a Yehi Special Kick sent White through the ropes. White was upset and wound up using several illegal tactics on Yehi topped off by a chair shot to the back. Yehi won it by disqualification and gained post-match revenge by hitting White with the chair.
3) Brian Cage defeated The Hobo: The Hobo, a cult favorite in the IWA, had a tough draw as he took on “The Machine” Brian Cage who was accompanied by his manager Percy Pringle III. Cage was dominating the match when suddenly “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb showed up at ringside. Cobb, who recently made his IWA debut, returned the favor of scouting Cage during his match. The Hobo took advantage of the distraction and staged a rally hitting the Flip Flop, a flying backward elbow from the middle rope, for a two count. Cage regrouped and stared down Cobb before going into annihilation mode on The Hobo finally pinning him with Black Magic, a double jump Moonsault off the turnbuckles. Cage glared at Cobb again who simply waved him off and returned to the back drawing the ire of “The Machine” and Pringle.
4) Eddie Kingston defeated Adrian Armour: Another rising star in Adrian Armour, formerly of AWE, took on the tough challenge of former IWA Heavyweight champion the “War King” Eddie Kingston. The usually agitated Kingston wasted no time in this one which he dominated from the opening bell. After blistering Armour in a Chop Battle the determined Kingston nailed him with the Sliding D to score the pin.
5) Eddie Edwards defeated Matt Taven: “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards continued his comeback from an ankle injury taking on House of Truth member Matt Taven who was accompanied by Truth Martini. It is no secret that Martini wants revenge on Edwards who sent Davey Richards out of the IWA costing the House of Truth a key member. Edwards had his ankle injured by Richards directly as a result of that so he was looking for his own revenge on the House of Truth. Taven did an excellent job of controlling the match including nailing Edwards with a clothesline over the top rope leading to a near fall. Edwards battled back after surviving the Climax and caught Taven with the chin checker for a big near fall. Martini got involved late in the match as he jumped up on the ring apron after Edwards hit Die Hard. Edwards then decked Martini to a big pop but was quickly jumped by Taven who nailed him with a piledriver. Taven looked to bring it home when suddenly Edwards made a counter and hit Die Hard for the pin.
6) reDRagon defeated Los Primos Rivera: Tag team action saw reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) against the duo of Los Primos Rivera (Gino & Danny Rivera). LPR have been very impressive in their matches since joining the IWA and they were determined to come away with a win against reDRagon. They did an excellent job early including scoring a big near fall on Fish with the Brooklyn Beatdown. O’Reilly, a former two-time IWA J-Crown champion, helped get reDRagon back into it and then he and Fish combined to hit the knee strike and Regal Plex combo. That seemed to turn the tide fully in favor of reDRagon and a brief time later it was O’Reilly trapping Danny in Armageddon scoring a submission victory. reDRagon looked sharp as they prepare to team with Randy Savage in a big upcoming six-man tag bout against The Shield.
7) Rhino defeated Bryan Danielson: The popular “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson had his hands full taking on the “Man Beast” Rhino, the powerhouse of the House of Truth. Manager Truth Martini was at ringside for Rhino but looked shaken up after being decked by Eddie Edwards earlier. Rhino jumped Danielson during the introductions and quickly hit the Gore! for a big near fall. Danielson was on the defensive for a good stretch until countering out of fireman’s carry cutter and hitting a Dragon Suplex. Danielson then fired Rhino out of the ring but that proved to be a mistake as Martini got involved. Rhino took over and after another offensive he crushed Danielson with a Running Powerslam to score a snake eyes pin. It wasn’t over there as Martini ordered Rhino to continue his attack and he hit Danielson with another Gore! before Edwards ran in to put a stop to the attack. Danielson had to be assisted of the ring and was diagnosed with fractured ribs so he will miss some ring time.
8) Diamond Dallas Page & Moose defeated Lance Hoyt & Brodie Lee: Feature tag team action saw Diamond Dallas Page & Moose join forces to take on the intimidating Pringle Dynasty combination of the “American Psycho” Lance Hoyt & “Big Rig” Brodie Lee. Manager Percy Pringle III was at ringside for his men and looked on pleased as they dominated the early action. Hoyt was particularly effective hitting moves like the big boot and the chokeslam. Lee contributed with his own chokeslam and an attack outside the ring. DDP took most of that beating but when he tagged Moose things turned around. The big man out of Baltimore, MD, put on a powerhouse display including twice blasting Hoyt with the Pounce. The finish came when DDP caught Hoyt with the Diamond Cutter only to have Pringle distract the referee. Moments later, after an exchange, Moose naiuled Hoyt with the Spear and covered him for the pin as DDP prevented a save attempt by Lee with a Diamond Cutter drawing a big pop from the crowd.
9) Roderick Strong defeated Mike Quackenbush: With the way that the House of Truth has been targeting opponents “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush had to be on guard as he took on Roderick Strong, the cornerstone of the stable run by manager Truth Martini. Quackenbush has had his own problems with House of Truth member Matt Taven as well. This was a fierce battle with both men scoring early near falls, Strong with the Gibson Driver and Quackenbush with the Quackendriver. Quackenbush then went on an offensive tear nearly winning it by count out after a dive out of the ring. Quackenbush followed with the Quackendriver III but Martini distracted the referee while tossing in the Book of Truth. Strong caught it and hit Quackenbush over the head with it resulting in another big near fall. A great series of reversals built to an exciting finish as Strong hit End of Heartache only to have Quackenbush kick out. Both men were spent but Strong recovered and followed with an Olympic Slam on Quackenbush for the pin. Martini was ecstatic as Strong won it while the crowd applauded the efforts of both men for what was a great match.
10) IWA Tag team titles: Mark & Jay Briscoe© defeated All Night Express by Count Out: The main event saw Dem Boys, Mark & Jay Briscoe, put the IWA tag team titles on the line against the fast rising All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King, with manager Rock Riddle). The intensity was high for this match as the crowd was in full support of the Briscoes’ who were pumped up during the ring introductions by Gavin Loudspeaker. Riddle tried to shout down the champions but Jay responded by decking the manager drawing the ire of ANX. As Riddle recovered at ringside the match got off to a fast start with the champions in control. They frustrated ANX at seemingly every turn while Riddle grew angry at ringside. The match took a bad turn for the challengers when Mark blasted Titus with a clothesline as he bounced out of the corner. He then fired Titus out of the ring where the battle continued involving all four men plus Riddle. During the melee, it was Mark dropping Titus with a Redneck Kung-Fu before darting back into the ring scoring a snake eyes count out victory. The Briscoes retained the titles but would pay for it in the aftermath. ANX spiked Jay head first into the ring post before going after Mark in a two-on-one situation. Riddle slid a table into the ring which was set up by ANX before they put Mark through it with the One Night Stand, a power bomb and top rope diving neckbreaker combo. Mark was laid out as ANX grabbed the title belts demanding to be named the new champions. Jay recovered and ran them off with a chair but Mark was seriously hurt and he will miss some ring time meaning that the belts could be in jeopardy if they aren’t defended in due time.

I like that opening win by James Morgan, then a huge win for Rhino over Bryan Danielson and the post match attack was good stuff. The House of Truth is taking names and Roderick Strong winning proves that HoT are a force in the IWA, cool stuff...

Motor City Mayhem! Always an exceptional title for a card... And this one delivered on its promise... Especially in that wild conclusion to the main event... Congrats to the Briscoes on a successful title defense... Let's hope that Chicken isn't sick on the sidelines for too long... Otherwise, older brother Jay is gonna have to MAN UP and defend those belts solo...
Despite the natural inclination to root against the House of Truth, I've gotta believe that some Detroit fans were pleased that their hometown boy, Rhino score that huge victory over Danielson... Not to mention the post-match beatdown...
Always happy when reDRagon picks up a win... Can't wait to see them team up with the Macho Man against the Shield... Potential for one of the greatest trios matches of all time...
Awesome stuff, as always!

Thanks for the comments Crimson and Pariah. This IWA card wasn't exactly in the Motor City but I wanted to use the name for the show. Pariah I think you can read my mind when it comes to Jay Briscoe and the tag titles. With Mark out then Jay will have to go it alone but wait until you see the next title match it should be a wild one. Rhino over Danielson was pretty vicious especially with the injury angle which made for two injuries happening on the show. Danielson is on the sidelines but he is already formulating a plan against the House of Truth which will likely be revealed on the next IWA show. I am very pleased with the performance of James Morgan thus far as he is already a heat machine with the IWA crowd. I finished the next show so here is a rare weekday edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling with some major news revealed...
LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 67) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #1081)
• Bullet Points: IWA Commissioner Charlie Cox was on hand live in studio joining announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown in making two major announcements. Cox said that after some intense negotiations with both parties that an LOW World Heavyweight title rematch has been signed between Frank Gotch and defending champion Andre the Giant. Their previous match at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, MO (Card #1073) ended in controversy with Andre’s manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan lending a hand to the champion in his victory. As a result, the rematch, which will take place on the upcoming card at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #1085), will see Heenan barred from ringside. Russell liked that stipulation but asked about the status of Gotch in the qualifying round of the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. Cox said that Gotch has agreed to relinquish his spot in the qualifying round to get the world title rematch and taking his place will be former three-time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Jerry Lynn. As a result, it will be Lynn facing The Destroyer in Bournemouth, England (Card #1083) for World of Sport to determine who advances to the tournament during WrestleCade 11 weekend.
The second big announcement was that the night of Gotch-Andre II at MSG also featured will be the annual 12-Man Gold Star Battle Royal to determine who will get the shot at the LOW World Heavyweight title at WrestleCade 11 (Card #1100 at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN). It will be a Battle Royal over-the-top rope elimination style until only two men are left at which point they will have a singles match to determine the winner. Russell then tossed it to a video showing past Gold Star Battle Royal highlights along with the full list of competitors in the upcoming match:
• Magnum T.A. (CWA, former LOW World Heavyweight and International Heavyweight champion) • Bobo Brazil (CWA, three-time LOW World Heavyweight and International Heavyweight champion) • Fred Blassie (PCW, two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion and winner of the 8th annual PWI Invitational Cup Tournament) • Harley Race (KRU, two-time LOW World Heavyweight and three-time International Heavyweight champion) • Ted Dibiase (CWA, two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion) • Buddy Rogers (GAW, LOW Triple Crown champion – Heavyweight, Tag Team and International) • Antonio Inoki (KRU, two-time LOW International Heavyweight champion) • Blackjack Mulligan (CWA, reigning LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion) • Rikidozan (KRU, two-time LOW International Heavyweight champion) • Lou Thesz (GWA, two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion) • Bruiser Brody (CWA, winner of the 7th annual PWI Invitational Cup Tournament) • The Sheik (CWA, former LOW World Heavyweight and reigning five-time International Heavyweight champion)
• Talking Points: Dave Brown interviewed the father-and-son team of Tugboat Taylor and Chaz Taylor and Tugboat was angry over the injury he suffered at the hands of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. in Pacific Coast Wrestling. He said that he has spent the past few weeks in rehab and has finally been cleared to return to the ring. That also means that Playboy Buddy Rose, the boyfriend of SSA, Inc. leader Sherri Martel, will return from his suspension over the incident as per orders from LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox. Brown mentioned that Tugboat and Chaz will be facing Rose and Dr. Tom Prichard on the next PCW card in Anaheim, CA (Card #1086). Tugboat said that he and his son joined PCW to team up and compete for titles but SSA, Inc. ruined that so now it is personal. Chaz spoke up about the pass Sherri made at him that started it all and had a message to her and Rose that his revenge will be sweet…After a commercial break at the midway point of the show Lance Russell was supposed to interview the ASW tag team of Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill but he was interrupted by Mr. X. The masked man said that he gets no respect and that he was taking over the interview time. Russell sighed and just gave him the mic as Doring and Roadkill walked out looking confused. Mr. X said that like all “ring greats” he wants to pass on his knowledge to a worthy successor and he brought out another masked man who he called Mr. X II. Doring and Roadkill laughed which drew the ire of Mr. X who challenged them to a tag team match on the spot. They agreed but before putting down the mic Mr. X said that unlike Mr. Wrestling (Tim Woods) and his successor Mr. Wrestling II (Johnny Walker) his alliance with Mr. X II will go down in history as the “greatest masked pairing of all-time”.
1) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Blackjack Mulligan© vs. The Warlord was a DDQ: The LOW Tex-Arkana Television title was on the line in the opening match as Blackjack Mulligan put the belt up against The Warlord who was accompanied by his manager Abdullah Farouk. With the announcement that Mulligan is entered in the 12-Man Gold Star Battle Royal he was determined to show why he earned that spot by fending off a very strong challenger. He dominated for a good stretch and managed to trap The Warlord in the Claw Hold but Farouk distracted him. The Warlord struck back and the two wound up battling outside the ring several times narrowly avoiding a disqualification. That all changed when George “The Animal’ Steele, who was not scheduled to appear on the show, came in through the side door carrying a trash can which he tossed into the ring. Steele ran in and hit both men but focused mainly on his adversary The Warlord. The two battled out of the ring and back to the locker room while Mulligan retained the title on a double disqualification.
2) Big John Studd defeated Ricky Landell: The popular Ricky Landell, who has scored some upset wins on ASW, had a tall challenge in the form of Big John Studd. Manager J.J. Dillon was at ringside looking on as Studd dominated the action. Landell made a late comeback bid but Studd cut him off and lifted him into the Backbreaker for a submission victory.
3) Michael Elgin defeated Dupae Rupa: The “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, a former IWA Heavyweight champion, made a surprise appearance on ASW taking on “The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa. Elgin used his power advantage to dominate the capable Rupa and, after using the crossface submission, he hit the devastating Elgin Bomb for the pin. Lance Russell and Dave Brown marveled over the powerful Elgin who stopped by the announce table afterward and said that he has left the IWA and has signed a full-time contract with Kings Road United in Japan. Russell wished him well and said that the stars of KRU had better be prepared for what Elgin can bring in the ring.
4) Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill defeated Mr. X & Mr. X II: This unscheduled tag team battle saw Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill take on Mr. X & Mr. X II, with the latter duo demanding to be announced as the “greatest masked tag team of all-time”. Doring and Roadkill are a veteran team and they looked determined to send a message here. The masked men had minimal offense and it wasn’t long before Roadkill combined with Doring on the Buggy Bang. Mr. X was the victim and Doring covered him for the pin as Roadkill decked Mr. X II.
5) Don Muraco defeated Lanny Poffo: The very capable “Leaping” Lanny Poffo took on the “Magnificent” Don Muraco who was accompanied by his manager Sir Oliver Humperdink. Poffo did an impressive job of using his speed advantage to control the initial action frustrating Muraco. J.J. Dillon showed up at ringside to scout Muraco as his charge, “Angelo “King Kong” Mosca, is facing Muraco in an upcoming qualifying match in the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. Humperdink took exception to the appearance of Dillon and the two managers had some words. Muraco, meanwhile, mounted an offensive and hit the Hawaiian Hammer for the pin. Humperdink joined the victorious Muraco in the ring as Dillon looked on with an air of confidence possibly discovering something that he can pass along to Mosca. The Muraco vs. Mosca match will take place on an upcoming CWA card in Orlando, FL (Card #1084).
6) Bruiser Brody defeated Timber: The expiration of time match, limited to one fall due to little time left in the broadcast, saw CWA star Bruiser Brody take on Timber, “The Insane Lumberjack”, an ASW regular and a former LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion. Brody had a bandage on his head due to being a recent victim of a Fireball attack by the maniacal Kevin Sullivan and his Army of Darkness crew. Timber took advantage of that and got in some good offense including hitting the Log Splitter but Brody kicked out with authority. Brody tore into Timber after that and assaulted him both in and out of the ring. After a one-hand bodyslam he delivered the Jumping Knee Drop to score the pin. Brody stopped by the announce table as the show was ending and said not only will he get revenge on Sullivan but he plans on winning the 12-Man Gold Star Battle Royal and earning the LOW World Heavyweight title match at WrestleCade 11.

Another fine episode of All-Star Wrestling blending some solid in-ring action with a few revelations about what's to come... Especially enjoyed Elgin's dominating win and the news that he is headed to KRU where he should run up against some superb competition... Perhaps the Bullet Club should start formulating a strategy on how they plan to deal with Big Mike...
Just realizing now that Bruiser Brody has never held a major championship in LOW... How awesome would it be for him to win that Gold Star Battle Royal and then go onto face Andre at Wrestlecade... Sorry Gotch - I know you've gotta title rematch coming up, but I want to see Brody vs the Giant for the top prize...
Awesome stuff, as always!

I would like to see Brazil win the battle royal and face Andre. The double finisher in his card mechanic could be a significant factor.
