The show opens with the tune, "Poison" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. VELVET SKY bursts through the curtain and waves excitedly to the cheering crowd. Velvet struts to the ring and high-fives the fans, then climbs into the ring and pumps her fist in the air.

Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP?!?!? I am WIRED to be here! Detroit is an awesome place for professional wrestling, and tonight the ferocious felines of Heartland Ladies' Wrestling are here to tear it up! BOTH of the major ladies' titles are on the line tonight! MERCEDES MARTINEZ & NICOLE SAVOY are defending the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Championship against my girl ANGELINA LOVE with THE ALLURE. And in the Main Event- to settle it all- it's gonna be Two Out Of Three Falls for the Heartland Ladies' Championship when NICOLE MATTHEWS defends against KELLY KLEIN. These two have been getting after it for MONTHS- and it will all be decided here tonight. The ladies are ready to crush it here at Calihan Hall tonight- so let's take care of business!


IVELISSE pinned SHIRLEY BLACK*** with the Desert Eagle

Ivelisse seemingly had the match well in hand, working over a clearly outclassed opponent. As Ivelisse toyed with Black, JOANIE LAURER came to ringside to join in on the fun. Ivelisse pitched Black out of the ring, then distracted the referee while Joanie slapped Shirley! With the fans booing, Joanie pitched Black back into the ring, smirking as Ivelisse finished off an easy victory. As Ivelisse and Joanie celebrated, JESSICKA HAVOK stormed out to ringside to confront Joanie. Referees quickly intervened before the confrontation turned physical.

Velvet: That was disgusting, Ivelisse didn't need any help with that match- but Joanie just can't resist the opportunity to be a bully. Good for Jessicka for standing up to the bully!


CORA*** & DEBBIE COMBS defeated KENZIE PAGE* & ELLA ENVY* when Cora submitted Ella with the Indian Deathlock


JORDYNNE GRACE pinned JESSICKA HAVOK*** after a perfect Cross-Body Block from the top turnbuckle

It was a rugged battle between two powerhouse competitors. Jordynne proved to be the better athlete, and her quickness enabled her to pin Jessicka with a daredevil deathjump.

As Jessicka was returning to the dressing room, she was attacked on the ring ramp by JOANIE LAURER & IVELISSE! Jessicka was more than willing to throw hands, but the numbers game had Jessicka at a disadvantage until COURTNEY RUSH came to her assistance! All four ladies took to brawling, and it required multiple referees and wrestlers from backstage to restore order.

Velvet: THAT IS ENOUGH! You girls need to settle this- in the ring- TONIGHT! I am booking you in a Tag Team Match on tonight's show- No Disqualification!

The fans cheer for Velvet's decision. All four wrestlers not in agreement, still staring daggers at one another as they leave the stage.

GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
IVELISSE & JOANIE LAURER defeated COURTNEY RUSH & JESSICKA HAVOK** when Joanie pinned Jessicka with a Power Bomb

After all the build-up, the Grudge Match wound up being a one-sided beating. Joanie delivered a whoopin' to Jessicka. Joanie floored Jessicka with a massive clothesline, then quickly dumped Jessicka with a powerbomb to end it.

Following the pin, Joanie stood over the fallen Jessicka and SPIT on her! Courtney slid into the ring to protect Jessicka, but Joanie and Ivelisse merely scoffed at them and walked away.

Velvet: Oh my lord! Joanie just beat the stuffings out of Jessicka and left her laying. That was scary- but Joanie has just taught the locker room a lesson about what happens to anybody that wants to step to her.


HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
THE ALLURE (ANGELINA LOVE & MANDY LEON**) defeated MERCEDES MARTINEZ & NICOLE SAVOY**** (c) when Angelina pinned Savoy with the Botox Injection

THE ALLURE CAPTURES THE HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: They did it! My girl Angelina and Mandy won the tag belts! I know… I am supposed to be neutral, but everybody realizes that Ang is my BFF and I am excited for her. Way to go, girl! And now- at long last- it's the final showdown for the Heartland Ladies' Championship!


MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP: TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS
KELLY KLEIN**** defeated NICOLE MATTHEWS***** (c) two falls to none

First Fall: Kelly dominated the first fall. Kelly used her power moves to suplex Nicole all over the ring until Kelly could barely move. Once Kelly locked on the End of the Match, it didn't take long for Nicole to tap out.

Second Fall: Nicole was running on fumes to start the second fall, but she dug deep and battled hard. Nicole took the fight to the arena floor and dumped Kelly with a suplex onto the concrete. This slowed down Kelly enough for Nicole to gain the advantage. Nicole hit the Vancouver Maneuver TWICE, but Kelly kicked out both times and the match continued. With both women in a heap on the mat, Kelly made it to her feet first and hoisted Nicole up for a Fallaway Slam and pinned her for the win.

KELLY KLEIN CAPTURES THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: Congratulations to Kelly! That was a grueling match- and a grueling rivalry that went on for months. What a victory for Kelly! She has every right to be proud of what she has accomplished here tonight. And congratulations to my girls Angelina and Mandy for winning the tag team titles! How about that- BOTH the big championships changed hands tonight! What an amazing show we have seen. That's it for tonight, Heartland- thanks for another awesome night of wrestling here in Detroit! EpicDave: Bobo was just too powerful in that match. Tragos put up a respectable battle, but I don't think the ending of that match was ever in doubt. So BOBO BRAZIL has earned himself a shot at the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship! And now, fans- we take you to tonight's Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: DIXIE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
LOU THESZ (c) defeated ADRIAN ADONIS*** by submission with a Stepover Toehold Facelock

It was a masterful performance by Lou Thesz in tonight's title defense. Thesz outwrestled Adonis and outpowered his challenger. Despite Adonis' best efforts, Thesz did whatever he wanted, and forced Adonis to submit to the stepover toehold facelock.

LOU THESZ RETAINS THE DIXIE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to LOU THESZ for a dominant title defense here tonight! EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! We are here tonight in the historic Boston Garden with a full night of action from Patriot Championship Wrestling. We have a tremendous show planned here tonight, with excitement and then some. It's going to be a sensational Main Event tonight- a Number One Contender's Match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS have come to Boston along with JAMES E. CORNETTE to battle THE BRITISH BULLDOGS for a shot at the World Titles! That's a pay-per-view quality match-up in its own right- but we have plenty more in store. The North American Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line in a match with all sorts of implications when JOHNNY VALENTINE defends against BRYAN DANIELSON. And tonight's feature matchups will be streamed live on the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

EpicDave: Wow- that was a VERY competitive match- and I guess it's not surprising that things blew up the way they did. I think Sabin and Simmons in particular have some ill feelings about how that went down. Now, fans- we take you to the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network for the remainder of tonight's action.

As the live broadcast hit the air, the fans were witness to an impromptu musical performance! RODDY PIPER came to the ring ramp and began playing the bagpipes. The reaction of the fans was mixed, but the quality went from bad to worse when piper was joined by MARK HENRY playing the accordion! To make matters worse, VADER grabbed a microphone and crooning an awful rendition of "More Than A Feeling", eliciting groans from the crowd. The trio never lost their enthusiasm as they completed their rendition. The fans continued to moan, but the grin never left Piper's face as he headed to the ring.


STANISLAUS ZBYSZKO** defeated 'ROWDY' RODDY PIPER by Disqualification

Piper's exuberance got the best of him in this match. Hot Rod opened the match by inserting his fingers into the eyes of Stanislaus, then proceeded to dump Zbyszko with a suplex on the arena floor. Piper then drove a Sledgehammer into the midsection of Zbyszko, drawing a stern warning from the referee. Piper was still grinning from ear-to-ear when a ringside fan handed Roddy a beer bottle. Piper cracked Stanislaus with the bottle and the referee finally called for the DQ.


EpicDave: I think Piper had the time of his life tonight. He entertained the crowd with his musical stylings, and beat up poor Stanislaus with a sledgehammer and a beer bottle. You gotta love a man who knows what he likes.


GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
ARN ANDERSON (w/JAMES J. DILLON) pinned RICKY 'THE DRAGON' STEAMBOAT*** with a DDT

Before the opening bell had even sounded, Anderson was on the attack. Double-A whacked Steamboat with a broomstick to the head, opening a cut over Ricky's left eye. Anderson was relentless, delivering several more shots with the broomstick and then slamming Steamboat onto the arena floor. Steamboat was out on his feet when Dillon rolled Ricky back into the ring. Without hesitation, Anderson dumped Steamboat with a DDT for an easy pinfall victory.

After the pin, TULLY BLANCHARD came to ringside, preparing to join Anderson to beat down the fallen Steamboat. But RICKY MORTON & ROBERT GIBSON sprinted to the ring and chased off Anderson and Blanchard before any damage could be done.

EpicDave: This battle between JUSTICE 4 ALL and JAMES J. DILLON ENTERPRISES is still running hot! Thank goodness that the Rock 'N Rolls were on alert to save Steamboat from another beating. But fans- another chapter in this rivalry is about to be written in our next match- with the North American Heavyweight Championship on the line!


NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
JOHNNY VALENTINE** (c) (w/JAMES J. DILLON) pinned BRYAN DANIELSON****** with the Atomic Skullcrusher

The title match between Valentine and Danielson was much more scientific and competitive than the earlier grudge match. The competitive juices were running high in both men, and the action went back and forth for nearly 15 minutes. Danielson was having success in the air, but the tide turned when Valentine drove Danielson back-first into the ring apron. This left Danielson grounded, and Valentine assaulted Danielson with a barrage of Atomic Skullcrushers to score the pin.

JOHNNY VALENTINE RETAINS THE NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: As much as I hate to say it, that was a refreshing change of pace after when we saw in the Steamboat debacle. Valentine earned that victory the old-fashioned way, with skill and toughness. And now, fans- it's time for tonight's Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS ('SWEET' STAN LANE & 'BEAUTIFUL' BOBBY EATON***) defeated THE BRITISH BULLDOGS (DYNAMITE KID* & DAVEY BOY SMITH**) when Bobby pinned Davey Boy with the Veg-O-Matic

It was a tightly contested battle between two legendary tag teams. After several minutes of back-and-forth action, the Bulldogs took control on Eaton, and nearly pinned him after a Diving Headbutt from Dynamite. But Lane was able to save his partner and the match continued. The teams went at it for several minutes longer before the Midnights exploded on Davey Boy with a Double Goozle out of nowhere! In an instant, the Midnights teamed up on Davey Boy with a Veg-O-Matic which sealed a hard-earned victory.


EpicDave: What a terrific match! Say what you will about Jim Cornette- his team is well-tuned and they are capable of finding a way to win in any situation. This will set up a match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship pitting the midnights against JACK & JERRY BRISCO. What a match-up THAT will be- and Dawn of Destiny 2024 will be the place. It's anybody's match- and anybody's title shot to be claimed here tonight. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


SHANE DOUGLAS*** (w/JIMMY HART) pinned JERRY LYNN******* with the Pittsburgh Plunge

EpicDave: That was a fun match- but the Megaphone Bash from Douglas made the difference.


STAN HANSEN & OLE ANDERSON* (w/JIMMY HART) defeated 'SUPERSTAR' BILL DUNDEE**** & 'DIRTY' DUTCH MANTEL when Ole submitted Dundee with the Kneeling Armbar

After the match, JIMMY HART took the microphone and screamed out a challenge for SHAWN MICHAELS to face a member of WHATEVER WE WANT in a Grudge Match for the Main Event. Michaels appeared on the KielTron and accepted the challenge!


TOMMY 'WILDFIRE' RICH defeated JACKIE FARGO by disqualification when Fargo choked out Rich with a roll of athletic tape

Those WHATEVER WE WANT guys are a bunch of worthless thugs and bullies. It's good to see the referee do the right thing, for once- and it will be outstanding to see SHAWN MICHAELS take a stand here later tonight.


THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BILLY GUNN & ROAD DOGG***) defeated THE LOVE BROTHERS (HARTFORD***** & REGINALD) when Billy pinned Hartford after a Spike Piledriver


#1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
KEVIN STEEN pinned ANTONINO ROCCA** with the F-Cinq

With BRET HART standing guard, Steen was able to focus on his opponent. SHANE DOUGLAS came to ringside during the match, but the Hitman prevented Douglas from getting involved. As the match wore on, Rocca's athleticism was no match for Steen, and after a couple of ring-shaking suplexes, Steen put away Rocca with the F-Cinq.

EpicDave: Finally a clean match! And congratulations to Steen on the victory- he now moves on to Dawn of Destiny 2024 for a title match against BARRY WINDHAM! I can guarantee that match will be a banger- not only in the ring, but as another chapter in the war between WHATEVER WE WANT and JUSTICE 4 ALL. And now, fans- it's time for tonight's Main Event- a Grudge Match involving SHAWN MICHAELS. But who will be his opponent?



GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
OLE ANDERSON* defeated SHAWN MICHAELS by KO with a Foreign Object

After defeating TERRY FUNK at the Thunderstruck pay-per-view, Michaels felt as though he was ready for anything. But when OLE ANDERSON was revealed as Michaels' opponent, the mood in St. Louis changed. Michaels tried to duck and dodge, but Ole was all business. Ole stretched Michaels in various directions, but Michaels refused to submit. Ole pitched Michaels out of the ring, where Michaels was jumped by Funk and STAN HANSEN. But JUSTICE 4 ALL was ready, with NIKITA KOLOFF & JERRY LYNN hitting the scene to battle the 3W interlopers. In the middle of the chaos, Anderson swiped the hammer from the time keeper and nailed Michaels between the eyes. Michaels was knocked out cold, and when the dust settled, Michaels was unable to respond and the decision was awarded to Anderson.


EpicDave: Holy Destruction! Ole Anderson just put new meaning into "Wrecking" with that shot on Michaels. So Ole gets the win- but it looks like JUSTICE 4 ALL is firmly in the corner of Shawn Michaels in his battle for survival. It's a great day for action as we continue to follow the superstars of the Atlantic Wrestling Federation on their 2024 tour of the Southeastern Conference. Tonight brings us to the campus of the University of Tennessee in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee for a full night of action, including a championship Main Event. DUSTY RHODES is here to defend his Atlantic Heavyweight Championship against NICK ALDIS in our Main Event- and that will be a stellar mact without a doubt. And our friends from the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network are here to live-stream tonight's feature matchup, so you know the fans will be fired up. EpicDave: A big win for John Studd over a tenacious opponent. Studd continued to use that Backbreaker- and Inoki put up a helluva fight before he finally gave it up. That win puts Studd in line for a #1 Contender's Match for the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. And now, fans- we take you to the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network for the rest of tonight's action.

CURT HENNIG (w/BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN) defeated 'MR. WONDERFUL' PAUL ORNDORFF by disqualification when Orndorff clobbered Hennig with a Trash Can

Bobby Heenan played his cards masterfully in this one, distracting the referee while Hennig introduced the trash can into the match. But Orndorff seized control of the trash can, and the referee caught Orndorff in the act of bashing Hennig wit ht eweapon, prompting the DQ.

After the DQ, Orndorff blew up at Hennig and Heenan and attacked with the trash can. But BIG JOHN STUDD rushed back to ringside and intercepted Orndorff, enabling Hennig and Heenan to join in on a three-on-one beatdown of Mr. Wonderful.

EpicDave: That was unfortunate for Mr. Wonderful. He has never gotten over his hatred of Bobby Heenan- but as always, Heenan has the numbers advantage and that turned into a losing proposition for Orndorff.


ATLANTIC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE GUERREROS (EDDIE*** & CHAVO JR.*) defeated MR. FUJI*** & MR. SAITO** when Eddie submitted Fuji with the Lasso From El Paso

EpicDave: Congratulations to Eddie and Chavo! They have earned a shot at the Atlantic Tag Team Championship! Next up, fans- as you may recall- last month in Columbia, Missouri, BRIAN PILLMAN brought in JUSHIN 'THUNDER' LIGER for a Tag Team Grudge Match. As you know, Things didn't go well between Pillman and Liger. Not only did they lose the match, but in the aftermath, Pillman attacked Liger- and tonight, here in Knoxville, it will be Pillman and Liger across the ring from each other in a No Disqualification Grudge Match.


GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
JUSHIN 'THUNDER' LIGER* defeated 'FLYIN' BRIAN PILLMAN**** by KO with a Flying Knee Smash on the Arena Floor

The highly anticipated showdown between Liger and Pillman lived up to the hype- until its shocking conclusion. For the early stages of the match, Liger and Pillman tried to outdo each other in a competitive, athletic contest. But as the match wore on, the superior quickness of Liger became the deciding factor. Liger took control and had Pillman in trouble- but the fans were shocked by the arrival of BIG JOHN STUDD and CURT HENNIG to ringside, accompanied by BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN.

EpicDave: What the- What is BOBBY HEENAN doing here?

Heenan's men made their intentions immediately clear. Studd grabbed a beer bottle and took a swing at Liger, catching a glancing blow that knocked Liger to the floor. Before Studd could inflict further damage, WAHOO MCDANIEL and TONY ATLAS sprinted to ringside and a melee erupted! Heenan helped Pillman to his feet, but Liger launched himself with a running knee smash, catching Pillman squarely on the jaw and knocking Pillman out cold. As Wahoo and Atlas continued to battle Heenan's men, the referee put a 10-count on Pillman, who failed to respond. The referee called for the bell and awarded the decision to Liger.

EpicDave: Are you kidding me? It looks like BRIAN PILLMAN has joined forces with THE HEENAN FAMILY! Thank goodness that the men of OLD SCHOOL JUSTICE were so quick to respond and bail out Liger from a situation that may have gotten serious. Liger doesn't even work here- he doesn't have a contract- but he came to AWF on the invitation of Pillman and now he finds himself in the middle of a growing feud. This is fixin' to get ugly in a hurry. But now, fans- it's time for tonight's Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DUSTY RHODES* (c) pinned NICK ALDIS***** with an Inside Cradle

Rhodes was dominant in the rematch against the former champion. Rhodes took down Aldis quickly, and trapped him in the Figure-Four Leglock early in the match. Aldis managed to survive the hold twice, but was clearly weakened. Aldis whipped Dusty into the ropes to set up a backdrop, but Aldis dropped his head too soon and Dusty rolled him up with an inside cradle for the pin.

DUSTY RHODES RETAINS THE ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to DUSTY RHODES on a very successful title defense here tonight in Knoxville. Everybody loves Dusty- and he can throw hands with the best of them- but tonight he beat a legit wrestler with a legit wrestling move to keep the belt. And of course- I think the other big winner of the night was BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN. Both of his Family members were victorious in the ring, and the Family picked up a dangerous new member in BRIAN PILLMAN- the loose cannon. The future looks bright for the Heenan Family- and that is bad news for the rest of the Heartland. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Heartland will be back in action on Wednesday night with Heartland Ladies' Wrestling rolling into Indianapolis for a terrific show.
