GWF Classics #69: The Main Event 07.25.2079 from Eunomia Events Center, Asteroid Belt
We have breaking news to start the show! Mangus petitioned the GWF Board with a grievance over being left out of the Filsinger Cup. As redress for this grievance, the board has seen fit to offer Mangus a Non-Title Match with Torin Caelum! Should he win, he’ll face the champion in a title match at Galaxies Collide! This could have huge ramifications going forward. There are a lot of ifs here, but: Should Mangus pull it off, that would mean Commander Sam would get a title shot at Deimos Perennial… In a barbed wire steel cage! Of course, first Mangus has to get through one of the most dominant wrestlers in GWF history.
Also, the Gamemasters and Estonians have been on a collision course for months. Tonight, in our main event, they will meet in a #1 Contender’s Match! The winner will face Defiance at Star Bash!
- Filsinger Cup Block A - Commander Sam vs. Hechilles Commander Sam defeated Hechilles with a SAM'S ATOMIC DROP at 26:13 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Commander Sam looked all business after hearing the news that Mangus gets the non-title match tonight. Of course, Hechilles is no slouch and this one was hot from the start.
They battled back and forth and each controlled sections of the match and scored near falls that had the audience on the edge of their seats.
The finishing stretch was no less exciting as Sam pulled out all the stops and hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP for the second time in the match to score the win!
Sam has two victories in the Filsinger Cup, while Hechilles looks to be out of contention after two losses.
- Filsinger Cup Block B - Morpheus vs. Ricken Prince Ricken Prince defeated Morpheus with a DQ at 6:47 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Morpheus is stinging after his DQ loss against Keller. A loss that was not without controversy as Keller had bent the rules to his advantage and gotten away with it, but Morpheus, looking for revenge, wasn't so lucky.
Prince on the other hand scored an impressive clean win over Santon, the former GWF champ.
This was off to a great start. They jockeyed for position and Morpheus came out on top, but Prince would come back with a flurry of moves, until Morpheus hit Natural Disaster!
Morpheus was in charge, but things would spill outside and as they brawled, Morpheus would push the ref into the guardrail and the ref flew over it!
He called for the DQ and Morpheus lost it! Prince scores the win and cackles as he heads for the hills.
Morpheus grabbed the ref, but officials and Omega came from the back as the Aldeberran's anger got the best of him.
Omega was trying to talk him down, but Morpheus wasn't having it. He clotheslined Omega and shouted: I don't need you! We're not friends! We're not partners! I've been screwed out of this opportunity and I'm done with being nice!
Omega was up and just watched as Morpheus went to the back...
- Filsinger Cup Block A - Mimic vs. Omega Omega defeated Mimic with an Indian Death Lock at 13:10 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Mimic ambushed Omega, hoping to take advantage of Morpheus' attack. It looked like it might work, but they went back and forth and Mimic's agility actually gave him a little edge over the most dominant player in the GWF.
Eventually, Omega was able to ground Mimic and grind him with holds before a Cetus Suplex led to the Indian Death Lock for a submission victory!
Omega and Commander Sam will battle it out to see who the winner of Block A is at CLIMAX!
An attempt for an interview from Omega afterwards was rebuffed as the former champ headed to the back.
- Filsinger Cup Block B - Santon the Loner vs. K.O. Keller K.O. Keller defeated Santon the Loner with a double knee lift at 2:16 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Unreal. Keller came in strong. Slapped on a face lock and cranked on the neck. Santon was hurting and got whipped into the ropes... KO Heart Punch!
Santon was trying to climb to his feet using the ropes and Keller hit him with a deadly double knee lift. Santon looked out cold as Keller got the 1, 2, 3!
It'll be Keller and Prince to see who takes Block B!
As Keller is going to the back, tho, Morpheus ambushes him on the ramp! He hits a modified TRIP TO HADES on Keller and has evil intentions in his eyes as grabs a chair... Keller is already laid out as Morpheus pummels him with a chair! Officials stream from the back as does Omega. Morpheus tosses the dented chair to the ground as Keller is attended to...
- Non-Title Match - Torin Caelum vs. Mangus Mangus defeated Torin Caelum with a DQ at 10:29 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Wow. This had all the makings of a classic match. They chain wrestled early and there was some excellent mat wrestling and exchange of holds, but Caelum took the advantage and immediately began shooting on the legs and back, hoping for a submission.
Mangus would come back and even hit the Alien Romp, but Caelum came back and put the pressure on and scored a near fall.
Caelum would go up top and hit a huge missile dropkick. He locked in the Boston Crab, but Mangus made it to the ropes and crawled outside.
Caelum went after him, but the ref, perhaps sensitive from earlier, tried to get Caelum back in the ring, Caelum refused and went after Mangus, pushing the ref aside and the ref immediately called for a DQ!
Caelum and the crowd were shocked, but the Sagitta Strangler, took it in stride and respected the ref's decision... Even if it means Mangus, of all people, gets a title shot!
- #1 Contender's Match - The Gamemasters vs. Estorians Parsec defeated Star Warrior with a chicken wing at 3:21 Match Rating: 1.75 Match Notes: There's been a lot of heat building between these two teams, but rather than the explosion of aggression we expected, we got a dud.
Cosmos had the advantage early over Tantalis, but a miscue between the Gamemasters resulted in a near fall and Star Warrior was in big trouble. Cosmos had accidentally come down off the top onto Star Warrior's shoulder when Tantalis moved out of the way of a double team.
Tantalis dragged Cosmos off the apron as Parsec locked in a chicken wing and Star Warrior, already favoring his shoulder, was forced to tap!
The Estorians are the number one contenders!
Cosmos tends to his partner as Parsec and Tantalis mock them and celebrate victory.
Overall Card Rating: 2.64

GWF Classics: CLIMAX 08.15.2079 from Filsinger's Jamestown Athletic Complex
- GWF News - History is in the making this evening! The very first Filsinger Cup winner will be crowned and punch their ticket to a guaranteed title shot.
The four men in the semi finals made remarks in a video package at the top of the show.
Ricken Prince said only a man of his royal pedigree deserved to be the first F-Cup winner. And following tonight he would finally achieve his destiny: The Galaxian Championship.
KO Keller was taping up his fists and said the deadliest prize fighter in the game wanted one last crack at greatness. It's been a long hard road, but he's not finished yet and that tonight the baddest man in the GWF would win the first F-Cup Tournament.
Commander Sam said he'd worked long and hard and was in the best shape of his life. It's time for new heroes and he believes and knows all his fans believe that his time is now.
Omega, the man, said that it would be his honor to be the first F-Cup winner and begin the journey to reclaiming the Galaxian title.
- Filsinger Cup Block B Final - K.O. Keller vs. Ricken Prince K.O. Keller defeated Ricken Prince with THE TEN COUNT at 12:08 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: KO Keller has long been a force in the GWF and now finds himself a match away from making the finals of the first ever Filsinger Cup!
Standing in his way, Ricken Prince. Prince has long flouted his breaking of the rules, but made his way, shockingly, to the finals of the B Bracket.
This was a damn nice brawl. They went back and forth in the ring, but soon things spilled outside and Prince took advantage, repeatedly smashing Keller into the announcer's table nearly risking DQ.
He hit the ROYAL DECREE, but Keller kicked out!
Keller would make a come back and they brawled out of the ring again. Eventually Keller's striking power over took Prince and he dropped him with THE TEN COUNT to get the 1, 2, 3!
KO Keller has just punched his ticket to the finals!
- Filsinger Cup Block A Final - Commander Sam vs. Omega Commander Sam defeated Omega with a SAM'S ATOMIC DROP at 7:13 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Sam came out huge, sensing he needed to rock Omega early for a chance. The longest reigning GWF champ in history bounced back, though and applied the Indian Death Lock out of no where!
Omega would go on to punish Commander Sam, but he just didn't seem to have the fire we're used to seeing. Morpheus' behavior has clearly gotten to him.
They would trade holds and exchange blows and it looked like Sam was going to comeback, but Omega cut him off.
Then out of the blue, Sam hit a lariat and followed it up with a slingshot suplex. He called for his finisher and hit it!
1, 2, 3! Commander Sam has beaten Omega! He's going to the very first F-Cup finals!
- Filsinger Block A - Mimic vs. Hechilles Mimic defeated Hechilles with a MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER at 12:45 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Solid match. Hechilles needed a win here unless he wanted to finish in the basement of the tournament.
They went back and forth and Mimic tried using his speed to gain an advantage, bug Hechilles matched him most of the way. Multiple pitfall attempts on both sides and the crowd was on the edge of it's seat a couple of times.
The finish saw Hechilles come back, but Mimic caught him off guard with a pinning combination and then slapped on the MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER. A worn down Hechilles was put out and he can't even score one win in the F-Cup tournament. He's had a run of bad luck recently and it might be time to go back to the drawing board.
Mimic continues to play spoiler and proves he can win against just about anyone.
- Filsinger Block B - Morpheus vs. Santon the Loner Morpheus defeated Santon the Loner with a 23:44 at DQ Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Morpheus has always had his demons, but lately his frustrations have taken an even more insidious bent. He's fueled by rage and care nothing for the rules.
Fitting that his opponent is Santon. Santon has had a wild year, holding the Galaxian Championship briefly and feuding with the recently retired Screw.
Neither man has fared well in the F-Cup and both were looking for a win.
This was an out and out brawl. They may have spent more time out of the ring than in it and bent every rule they could to the breaking point. Multiple near falls on both men's part.
After over 20 minutes of brutal brawling action, Morpheus was looking to put Santon away with two straight Satanic Skull Smashers, but Santon came back out of nowhere and hit the SPIKE PILEDRIVER! It's gotta be over. 1... 2... NO!
Santon can't believe it! He tosses Morpheus outside and Morpheus shows some life, but Santon cuts him off with a stiff chair shot!
The ref finally calls for the bell and DQs Santon.
Santon isn't done and is looking to continue his assault, but Morpheus, in a final display of strength puts him through table with TRIP TO HADES! Both men are in a heap among the destroyed table.
There's a good chance that we'll see a rematch between these two at Star Bash!
The Mensans vs. Paladin Power Moonstrike defeated Cordsar with a Count Out at 5:39 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Trotarus and Cordsar, the Mensans have had a long and winding road over the past 5 years. They captured the tag titles, but were only able to hold onto them until Galaxies Collide '78. They've been unable to capture much steam, but a victory here over the former champs could get them back in the game. Of course, rumor has it, they're being wooed by a Mensan wrestling organization and could be considering their options.
Paladin Power show no signs of slowing down in spite of some wild matches and minor injuries here and there. They're always at the top of the tag team rankings and a win here could easily propel them back to the top of the rankings.
Trotarus came out with some stiff strikes and had Solar Flare reeling. Flare tried a couple of comebacks, but the big man cut him off and eventually leveled him with a lariat and brought his partner in.
Cordsar punished Flare briefly, but Paladin Power came roaring back and Moonstrike came in and went to work.
The Titan dazzled the crowd with hi impact moves including a super kick and picture perfect moonsault.
Cordsar rolled out and Moonstrike leveled him with an Asai DDT that knocked the Mensan cold!
His partner tried to get him back in the ring, but the ref counted him out and Paladin Power gets the win.
- Filsinger Cup Final - Commander Sam vs. K.O. Keller K.O. Keller defeated Commander Sam with a Keller's Flying Knee at 10:04 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Commander Sam has had a breakout year and all comes down to this. KO Keller has served as a mentor and tag partner to Sam, but he's out for what could be one last shot at glory for himself. He's a former GWF champ and has had a stellar run as of late.
They felt each other out early and traded holds. Sam got the better and poured it on, but Keller kept bouncing back, albeit briefly.
The action spilled outside a few times. The first time saw Sam crush Keller with a cross body, but the second time was a different story and Keller took advantage. Sam was hurting, but was able to come back for a near fall.
Back in Sam went high risk and Keller cut him off and tossed him to the mat. He blasted him with a flying clothesline and then hit a huge Keller's Flying Knee to get the 1, 2, 3!
KO Keller has won the first Filsinger Cup Tournament!
Sam is crest fallen in the ring. Heartbroken, even.
Keller helps his sometimes partner up to his feet.
Sam pushes him away initially, but then shakes his hand and raises it high.
The two embrace and Omega and the board of directors makes their way to the ring with the F-Cup for the presentation.
Torin Caelum comes out as well and holds the title high as he stares down his rival, KO Keller. They've done battle before, in fact they faced off in the finals of the very first Galaxian championship tournament. A battle Caelum won. It seems we've come full circle...
Overall Card Rating: 3.33

Absolutely delighted that the Estorians are the number one contenders... Wishing them good fortune in their pursuit of the tag belts...
Totally shocked that Commander Sam defeated Omega to gain a place in the Filsinger Cup final... But, the ultimate triumph goes to K.O. Keller... Well deserved, to be sure...
Always great to see the Early Classics in action... Fun stuff!

Thanks, man. Appreciate the comments.
The Estorians are a force to be reckoned with and have put the entire division on notice since their debut. It'll be interesting to see if they can dethrone Defiance after the climb to the top they've had.
Sam beating Omega was definitely a shock, but I was glad to see it. I really want to get the belt on Sam at some point. It just feels right. But, alas, he came up short in the F-Cup final. Of course, he's got a date with a barbed wire cage match against Mangus on the horizon...
Keller is a beast. One of the best cards of the Early Classics years. Though 2079 is really his last chance at glory before the downgrade. He and Caelum have had some wars, so it'll be nice to cap off the year with a battle between the two.

GWF Classics #71: Road to Star Bash 08.24.2079 from Dione Saturndome, Saturn
- GWF News - CLIMAX is in the books at KO Keller is the first F-Cup winner. The Road to Star Bash is a brief one, but we have some excellent matches lined up before we get to Star Bash '79!
First up, we have some comments from the post match interviews with both Keller and Sam:
CS: Well, troops, I know for a fact that you learn as much, if not more, in defeat than you do in victory. This isn’t the end. Not by a long shot. I know Mangus is on the horizon, and who knows, by Deimos he could be the champ… But in the meantime… I want to talk directly to Omega. Omega… There are already rumblings that I got by you on a fluke. Well, I want the chance to prove that I’m on your level. I’m challenging you to a match on the Road to Star Bash. And if I can’t beat you… What’s say we make it a best of seven series? I need to be the best. I need it! And with or without that title, you’ll always be considered one of the best ever.
KO: What can I say? I’m a prize fighter. You all know this. And now that I’ve claimed this prize… My eyes are on one and only one more… Torin Caelum… We’ve fought each other all over the universe. Blood, sweat… Injured… In and out of the ring. I’m calling my shot… Why wait? Star Bash ‘79. Keller - Caelum for the Galaxian Championship.
Tonight, some rivalries will be renewed, and we'll get a preview of the tag title match when Parsec and Blood are in singles action.
Caiman vs. Mimic This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Caiman and Mimic have had quite the series of matches. Mimic is over performing these days, for sure. There's something about him that's starting to catch on with the fans too. In spite of his alliance with Ricken Prince.
They traded holds early and Mimic looked to press the advantage with high impact offense. At one point he executed a beautiful dive out of the ring, too!
Of course, Caiman was not to be out done and kept coming back. He tried to put him away with the HANDICAPPER, but couldn't put him away.
Mimic would bounce back and apply the MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER multiple times, but couldn't put Caiman away.
They brawled out of the ring a couple of times and Caiman was using his strength advantage, but as the time limit drew closer and closer, he hit the HANDICAPPER again and somehow, Mimic escaped! The action spilled outside and the bell would ring to signal the time limit draw!
They were fighting after the bell and Ricken Prince came out and blindsided Caiman! Hechilles hit the scene soon enough and the stand off was only ended when officials sent them to the back.
It was announced later, that we'd see a return match from Galactic Wars as the two teams will face off at Star Bash. Maybe this time we'll get a conclusive ending.
Parsec vs. Blood Blood defeated Parsec with a DQ at 16:25 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: These two had a great match. If it's any indication of what's to come from the tag title match they'll have at Star Bash, we're in for a treat.
There was a great deal of technical wrestling along with plenty of brawling and it could've gone either way. Parsec dominated the first half and then Blood came roaring back to life. Even locking in SCAR TISSUE.
The finish came when Blood locked it a second time and Tantalis interfered! He dropped Blood with the Nuclear Smash! The ref called for the DQ right away, but it wasn't over as Jammer rushed in and started brawling with Tantalis!
Blood and Parsec were still reeling from their match and the officials were able to get things under control. This thing is gonna go off at Star Bash, for sure.
The Crosscurrents vs. Paladin Power Solar Flare defeated Thetis with a PALADIN MISSILE at 18:28 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Excellent tag action as the former champs take on the CrossCurrents!
Thetis and Vortex were on the defensive for most of the match as Paladin Power put on a virtuoso display. Solar Flare's spinning elbow smash rocked Thetis on more than one occasion and Moonstrike brought the fans to their feet multiple times, including a huge dive to the outside and a picture perfect moonsault back inside.
There were quite a few pin attempts, but Thetis and Vortex would not go quietly.
The finish came in spectacular fashion as Flare his a huge shoulder breaker and went for the cover, Vortex came to make the save, but Moonstrike dropkicked him out of the ring and then Flare hit the PALADIN MISSILE for the 1, 2, 3!
Cosmos vs. Rama Rama defeated Cosmos with a DEIMOS DRIVER at 11:15 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Cosmos came out of the gate and punished Rama for the first half of the match. It looked like it was elementary, but he made the mistake of not going for a cover after a string of big moves.
Rama came back to life and the tables turned. The Wind Rider never looked back. Cosmos was reeling, but kept getting the shoulder up.
In the end, two consecutive DEMIOS DRIVERs did the trick and Rama scores the win!
Star Warrior was consulting with his partner as Tano and Rama celebrated.
It was announced they'd be meeting in tag action very soon! The Wind Rider/Gamemasters feud has already produced some excellent matches, we could be in for more.
Omega vs. Commander Sam This match ended in a draw (Double DQ) at 2:15 Match Notes: Commander Sam came into the match with something to prove. In fact, you could tell he had a little bit of a chip on his shoulder.
Omega, on the other hand, has been under a bit of a dark cloud lately. He's not been happy with the behavior of a few of the wrestlers, Morpheus in particular. Rumor has it, he's tried to reach out to his old partner and rival a couple of times, but had no response. Instead of being saddened, however, reports are Omega is pissed.
Omega came into the match looking to take things slow, but Sam wouldn't stay down or allow himself to be locked in a hold for long. Omega hit a big Cetus Suplex and Sam, angered at the situation, rolled outside for a breather.
Omega didn't want to let him out that easy and they met outside the ring. Sam pushed him off and they began arguing and then started trading blows! The fans were stunned as they started brawling at ringside.
The ref tried to separate them, but Sam and Omega knocked the ref to the ground and he called for the DQ!
The landed a few more blows before coming to their senses, but there was still a tension in the air as Omega helped the ref to his feet and apologized. There was a stir among the fans and Morpheus was seen on the ramp laughing at his former partner!
Sam grabbed a mic and told Omega he wanted a rematch. No Disqualifications!
The question hung in the air as Morpheus smiled at the top of the ramp and Omega looked visibly upset in the ring, apologizing to the ref again as the show came to a close.
Overall Card Rating: 4.00

Wild end to the last show... Morpheus seems to be taking some pleasure in the obvious heat between Omega and Sam... Imagine how happy he'll be when those two men clash in a no DQ contest... Brutal!

Pariah - thanks for the comments. Morpheus has been playing the long game, for sure. His temper seemingly under control out of the ring, Omega has been the one to find his ire up. Truth be told, it could be an effective smokescreen as Morpheus positions himself for a title shot. As for the object of his glee, if you will, Sam and Omega have an interesting relationship. Omega has been a kind of mentor, but not as much as KO Keller. Omega has attempted to influence Sam to brawl less and not bend the rules, which makes the current angle between the two all the more intriguing. Star Bash '79 is coming up and it was a damn fun card. The main event got an epic write-up, but it felt well-deserved.

GWF Classics #72: Star Bash '79 08.25.2079 from Eureka Asteroid Arena, Eureka Asteroid, Mars
The Windriders vs. The Gamemasters Rama defeated Star Warrior with a leaping DDT at 10:37 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Incredibly solid opener. The Gamemasters controlled things early, but Rama and Tano were up to the task of coming back.
Neither team had the edge for long until the finishing stretch. The Windriders went to town on Star Warrior and hit two DEIMOS DRIVERs, but Cosmos was there to break up the second attempt after Star Warrior fought off the first.
Star Warrior came back big, but when he should've made the tag out, he stayed in the ring and got caught. Eventually, Rama hit a leaping DDT and it put an end to the match.
The Windriders were gloating in the ring and Cosmos didn't look happy, but he helped his partner to his feet and after a few words of encouragement, Rama and Tano began making fun of them.
A shouting and shoving match ensued before the ref was able to break them up and send the teams to the back.
Imperial Alliance vs. Hechilles & Caiman Hechilles defeated Mimic with THE END at 11:00 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Another solid bout. Imperial Alliance struggled to sustain any offense, though Mimic had his moments.
Once Ricken Prince tagged out he didn't show much interest to tag back in, though he did attempt to make a couple pin saves.
Hechilles and Caiman worked well together and could absolutely make their way through the tag ranks with continued performances like this one.
Hechilles was able to get the win after THE END.
- Titan Death Match - Morpheus vs. Santon the Loner Morpheus defeated Santon the Loner with a Natural Disaster at 9:28 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: They started off nose to nose, arguing in the middle of the ring. They traded blows and Santon hit some big moves sending Morpheus out of the ring.
Morpheus, out of desperation, put Santon through a table! The ref checks on both men as their bodies are in the ruins.
Morpheus was to his feet first and rolled Santon in. He hit TRIP TO HADES! Already hurting, he made the cover, but Santon got the shoulder up!
The action would continue in back and forth style and Santon scored a near fall of his own.
Morpheus dug deep, though and hit Natural Disaster out of nowhere to score the win and get the edge, if not the out and out win in this feud.
Afterwards he grabbed the mic and called out Omega. He said he appreciated the new attitude and couldn't wait to see him tear Sam apart, but that when that was all said and done, Morpheus would be waiting and come hell or high water, he would be the Galaxian champ by Galactic Wars V and Omega would have to live with that and his failure to keep the GWF all about athleticism and fair play.
- No Disqualifications - Commander Sam vs. Omega Commander Sam defeated Omega with a SAM'S ATOMIC DROP at 14:03 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: It stayed in the ring until the very end and was a story of Omega's technical prowess overcoming Sam's vitality and power. Sam had his moments and even hit his finisher early for a near fall.
Omega would bounce back, though, and worked a couple of holds, the Indian Death Lock in particular, to wear down Sam and go for a submission victory.
He couldn't keep Sam down for long, though and at one point Sam rolled out for a breather but Omega followed and Sam took a shortcut with a chair and bashed Omega into the post! Omega was busted open and Sam rolled him in and hit another SAM'S ATOMIC DROP!
1, 2, 3!
Sam beats Omega again! Unreal! Commander Sam holds two wins over Omega. Does Sam have a legitimate claim to a title shot?
Morpheus is out on the ramp again and applauds Sam's win while smirking at a bloodied Omega...
Estorians vs. Defiance for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Jammer defeated Tantalis with a cover after Parsec accidentally hit Tantalis with an elbow off the top at 25:09 Tantalis defeated Jammer with a Nuclear Smash at 4:30 Parsec defeated Blood with an ESTORIAN LOCK at 33:03 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Parsec and Tantalis are on the verge of completely the finest rookie year of a tag team in GWF history.
The match starts with a completely different story, though. Blood tore Tantalis apart and nearly scored the win in the opening moments with a near fall and SCAR TISSUE, but Parsec was able to break up the finisher.
Jammer came in and went up top. Not something he does a lot and he paid the price as Tantalis caught him with the Nuclear Smash! 1, 2, 3! Estorians take the first fall.
The second fall told another story as both teams battled back and forth to see who would get the advantage. Parsec was doing the heavy lifting for his team, thought they used quite a bit of double teaming to keep the champs on their heels.
However, it was a miscue amongst the double teaming that cost them the second fall as Parsec came off the top with an elbow, but Jammer moved and he collided with Tantalis! Jammer rolled him up and got the fall for his team!
The final fall was fast and furious and the action spilled out. Parsec attempted the ESTORIAN LOCK on Jammer, but he made his way to the ropes and brought in Blood. The Estorians would not be denied, though and worked the double team to get Blood reeling. A near fall led to the ESTORIAN LOCK and Jammer couldn't make the save and after 33 minutes, Parsec gets the submission to win the tag team titles for his team!
Defiance traveled a long hard road to get these titles and there's no doubt they'll be looking for retribution in a rematch!
Parsec and Tantalis celebrated in the middle of the ring looking quite "defiant" themselves...
Estorians won the Galaxian Tag Team Championship
- 2/3 Falls - K.O. Keller vs. Torin Caelum for the Galaxian Championship K.O. Keller defeated Torin Caelum with THE TEN COUNT at 19:58 Torin Caelum defeated K.O. Keller with a DQ at 8:04 Torin Caelum defeated K.O. Keller with a CAELUM'S GRIP at 25:03 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: The storied history of two of the all time greats takes center stage. They faced off on the very first card in GWF history and the enmity was apparent from the start. Caelum, the grappler, versus Keller, the striker. Perhaps the best in the universe in each respective category. Both men prize fighters. Both men demanding, earning, and deserving respect. Keller walked away with a shocking DQ victory in that first match.
They met in the squared circle in the finals of the tournament to determine the very first Galaxian Champion. Torin walked out the victor and champion. He retained in a rematch in two straight falls.
The rivalry dropped to a simmer. It would be nearly two years before they faced one another again and this time, Keller walked away with a victory in under 15 minutes. They went on to wrestle a classic 30 minute draw in 2077 and another earlier this year. At Galactic Wars they fought to a controversial 2/3 falls match with a DQ finish giving Caelum the win and propelling him into the title match with Screw that gave him his current reign as champ.
Both men know that the twilight of their respective hall of fame careers is beginning set, but tonight... Tonight, it's about the most prestigious title in the game. Tonight, these two men represent the very best. The Striker. The Grappler. Who will walk away as the GWF Galaxian Champion?!?!
The first fall got off to a big start with a high spot that sent both men down in the opening moments. Caelum rolled out to clear the cobwebs and Keller followed and they started brawling at ringside!
Caelum got the advantage and rolled him in to start working holds like only he can. The action would spill out again! This was devolving early and the heat was damn near nuclear amongst the fans.
Caelum dropped Keller on the ring apron with a back suplex!
Back in... CAELUM'S GRIP!!! Keller makes the ropes! But Caelum drags him back to the center and applies the hold again!!!
Keller still fights it off and the fans are going crazy less than 10 minutes in.
They began battling back and forth and Keller hit a heart punch followed by a double stomp to the chest!
Caelum was in trouble and again the action spilled out!
The ref was warning them and Keller smacked Caelum in the shoulder with a chair! He gives up the first fall via DQ, but can Caelum apply his finisher if his arm is damaged?
The second fall was a back and forth affair, perfectly telling the story of grappler versus striker as Caelum used holds and suplexes and Keller rained down strikes. There were multiple near falls and toward the end of the fall Caelum was busted open over the eye!
Keller pressed his advantage on the crimson masked Caelum! KO Flurry! Stomp! 1, 2, NO!
THE TEN COUNT! 1, 2, 3!
Keller evens the match at one fall a piece. Between falls officials and the ringside doctor examined Caelum's eye. The blood was still flowing, but Caelum pushed them off and the officials declared him good to go.
The drama heightened, these two clashed in the center of the ring. Jockeying for position.
Spinebuster from Keller and Caelum rolls out...
Keller follows... Caelum pushes Keller into the post and Keller is busted open now!
They're fighting all along the ringside area, both men bloodied, but unbowed!
Finally they're back in and Caelum is down on the mat as Keller goes up top!
Caelum grabs him off the top and tosses him to the mat. Boston Crab! Keller is in pain, blood running down his face. The fans are going crazy.
Caelum transitions to the Torin Death Lock!
Keller makes the ropes, but stumbles back to his feet only for Caelum to apply CAELUM'S GRIP!
The fans are white hot!
Keller taps! Keller taps! Torin Caelum retains the GWF Title!
Incredible bout. If this is the end to their rivalry, what a way to go out.
Officials towel off their faces as the doctor checks the cuts of each, but they push them off and meet in the middle of the ring.
They're jawing with one another. It looks like they might come to blows...
No! Keller sticks out his hand and Caelum shakes it. They embrace and the fans explode as Keller raises Caelum's hand and the night comes to a close.
