Very excited that the Estorians claimed the tag belts... Here's hoping for a healthy title reign...
As promised, that main event was truly epic... Torin proves why he's the champion and fortunately both men set aside their animosity for a classy finish...
Absolutely entertaining!

GWF Classics #73: The Main Event 09.15.2079 from Aldebaran Exposition Centre, Taurus
- GWF News - Mangus has petitioned the GWF board again! This time he says he doesn’t want to wait until Galaxies Collide for his title shot. The board, losing its patience, says it’s up to Caelum. Caelum, ever the champion, agrees to put the belt on the line in the customary ⅔ falls at the October Main Event!
Word is, Mangus didn’t want to wait too long as he feared someone else would get a crack before he did.
Speaking of which, it’s been announced, that to fill the void of a challenger at Galaxies Collide, Commander Sam and Morpheus will meet in a ⅔ falls match tonight to determine the #1 contender!
In a twist, it’s said that Omega was pushing strongly for Sam to take the #1 spot without facing Morpheus, but the man from Aldebaran took exception to being passed over and the board agreed he deserved an opportunity as much as Sam. Omega is rumored to be taking a little time off to clear his head after some of the mind games Morpheus has been playing. WIll he be back in time for Galaxies Collide? Will the two heated rivals meet in a ring before the year is out? Can Sam capitalize on Omega’s endorsement and reach the pinnacle of success in the GWF?
We've also got tag team action with the Gamemasters looking to pick up a win after suffering a loss to the Windriders. Word is Rama and Tano are gloating over another victory, but Star Warrior and Cosmos aren't laughing.
The Estorians are the new tag champions and Parsec will be facing off against Blood, one half of the former champs, tonight!
All this and much more!
Cordsar vs. Moonstrike Moonstrike defeated Cordsar with a PALADIN DROP at 6:16 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Moonstrike nearly put him away quick with a succession of moves that led to the finisher.
He hit a sick suicide dive that left both men in a heap, but he made it to his feet and went up top back inside. Cordsar fought him off and worked the figure four. He even applied the MENSAN LOCK, but Moonstrike made it to the ropes!
Cordsar was pissed and tried to distract the referee so Trotarus could get a lariat on Moonstrike. Moonstrike, however, moved and pulled the ref free causing Trotarus to level his partner!
Moonstrike went up top and hit PALADIN DROP again for the 1, 2, 3!
Cordsar is hurting, but pays no attention to his partner's apologies. Instead, berating him for his mistake...
Hechilles vs. Ricken Prince Hechilles defeated Ricken Prince with a clover leaf leg lock at 12:15 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Hechilles wanted a chance to get Prince in the ring after the recent tag bout that Caiman and Hechilles won over Imperial Alliance (Prince & Mimic).
Early on, Prince tried to get cute and slapped Hechilles in the face. It turned out to be a huge mistake as Hechilles spun him around and hit a huge belly to back release suplex!
He spent the next ten minutes punishing Prince and cutting off every attempt at a comeback. Hechilles worked a little different style, combining big moves and then working holds targeting the legs.
He wore Prince down sufficiently that a clover leaf leg lock secured the tap out.
Hechilles celebrated to a nice pop while Ricken Prince nursed his wounds on the outside. Mimic hopped on the apron and taunted Hechilles while Caiman came out to prevent a possible double team.
The Gamemasters vs. The Crosscurrents Star Warrior defeated Vortex with a CETUS SLEEPER at 4:03 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Rama and Tano were at ringside observing the match...
Cosmos and Thetis traded holds early, but Cosmos dropped him with a DDT and went to work.
Thetis made a tag out, but Cosmos was able to keep the momentum for his team and brought in Star Warrior as he held Vortex and Warrior came down off the top with a chop!
Star Warrior used high impact offense to weaken Vortex and slapped on the CETUS SLEEPER for the win!
Rama and Tano mocked the victors and it was clear they got under Star Warrior's skin, but Cosmos kept his partner in check as they went to the back.
Parsec vs. Blood Parsec defeated Blood with an ESTORIAN LOCK at 5:11 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: The Estorians took the tag titles from Defiance at Star Bash and Blood was looking for a measure of redemption, but Parsec wasn't looking to let him have it.
He pummeled the former champ. Plain and simple. He beat Blood down with strikes and wore him down with holds. Softening him up for the ESTORIAN LOCK. To Blood's credit it did take two applications of the hold to do the job, but eventually Blood had no choice.
Parsec puts him down handily and you have to wonder if Defiance has what it takes to take the titles back from the Estorians or if we have new kings on the mountain.
- 2/3 Falls - Commander Sam vs. Morpheus Morpheus defeated Commander Sam with a TRIP TO HADES at 31:47 Morpheus defeated Commander Sam with a TRIP TO HADES at 37:08 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: A title shot at Galaxies Collide is on the line. 2 out of 3 falls. 45 minute time limit.
Morpheus looked laser focused and Sam was fired up and had the fans behind him.
They jockeyed for position and chain wrestled to get the bout started and the fans appreciated the athletic display.
Morpheus settled into a groove and began shooting on Sam's arm, but Sam kept coming back for more only to be cut off by Morpheus and put back to the mat.
Morpheus used the cobra grip to wear him down and eventually would hit a Natural Disaster! Morpheus, proving he was willing to do whatever it took went up top!
Sam moved at the last minute and Morpheus accidentally wiped out the ref!
Morpheus didn't even care and went on a tear of offensive moves and then took things outside... He smacked Sam with a chair, but the ref was still out!
He took him back in and hit TRIP TO HADES! 1... 2... NO! Sam gets the shoulder up and Morpheus can't believe it.
Sam would come back and hit a big move, but was just too weak to truly capitalize, in spite of scoring a near fall.
Eventually, Morpheus' slight power advantage led to a huge lariat and a third TRIP TO HADES for the first fall!
The next fall was fast and furious and it looked like Sam might have an edge when Morpheus charged him in the corner, but Sam moved and Morpheus went flying to the outside. Sam went out and Morpheus suckered him and rammed him into the post! Sam was split open and bleeding!
Morpheus rolled him in... TRIP TO HADES! 1, 2, 3!
Morpheus is the number one contender!
He grabs a mic afterwards and tells Omega his worst nightmare just came true. Because he doesn't care if it's Mangus or Torin Caelum. At Galaxies Collide, Morpheus finally realizes his destiny and become the Galaxian Champion.
Overall Card Rating: 2.75

Sam showed a ton of heart in that closing bout... But, against a man like Morpheus, sometimes heart just isn't enough...
Pleased that Parsec managed a victory over Blood... And it was kinda neat to see Cosmos possessing the cooler head when the Jammers started to taunt him and his partner...
Some awesome action with great buildup for the future, my friend... Spectacular show!

barflymike4ever Man, thanks so much for all the likes. I checked in to the board and saw them and thought the board was broken, haha. Much appreciated and I'm grateful for you reading and commenting. Morpheus has had shots before, but never been able to get there. Then again, he was going up against Omega. I'm pulling for him. He's definitely playing the villain in an era without them (yeah, right, haha) and it's gonna come around at some point, but for now I'm hoping he continues his streak after a disappointing F-Cup showing. Pariah Sam was all heart and it was one of those matches where I didn't care who won and had plans either way it went. Thanks for catching the bit with Cosmos. I wanted to reinforce that at this point he's got the experience and in my fed has already been through some stuff, but chosen the honorable path. Thanks for the comments guys! I have fun playing no matter what, but the feedback and sense of community here on the boards always makes it even more fun than it already is. And that's saying something.

GWF Classics #74: The Main Event 10.03.2079 from Algol Double Star Arena, Perseus
- GWF News -
-The biggest news coming out of last week’s show is Morpheus becoming the #1 contender. Following on from that, tonight is the night that Mangus gets his first title shot after “defeating” Torin Caelum by DQ in a non-title match. Some, most, say that Mangus instigated the DQ himself, but the board has reviewed the tape and stands by the referee’s decision and is giving Mangus his shot. Who will be the champion come Galaxies Collide? And will Morpheus finally capture the title he’s chased for over 5 years?
-The Windriders and Gamemasters are at it again. In spite of Star Warrior and Cosmos getting the better of the Deimos natives earlier this year, Rama and Tano have gotten under their skin and are doing whatever they can to play games with arguably the most popular tag team in the GWF. Maybe that’s where the jealousy comes in. Before Star Warrior debuted and joined up with Cosmos, Rama and Tano were easily the most popular tag team on the roster and had a legion of adoring, mostly female, fans.
-Defiance has been shown up by the new tag champs in both tag team and singles competition. Tonight, Jammer seeks to gain some momentum before they challenge the champs in a title rematch at Galaxies Collide.
-The Mensans are rumored to be leaving the territory soon and heading back to Mensa. With all the miscommunication between Trotarus and Cordar, will they be able to last out the year as a tag team?
-Commander Sam’s loss to Morpheus has sent the fan favorite back to the drawing board. Word is, he and Keller are training to make a run at the tag ranks. With Imperial Alliance, Hechilles & Caiman, and all the other great established tag teams, one could argue the hottest period in tag wrestling since the inaugural years of the GWF is on the horizon!
Jammer vs. Tantalis Jammer defeated Tantalis with a BAD NIGHT at 6:24 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Defiance has been back to the drawing board, studying tape, and working in the ring with each other to go after the most dominant force in the tag division, the new champs, the Estorians.
Blood and Jammer worked for 5 years to get the titles and don't take the fact that the rookie team came in and snatched them away.
Tantalis tried to use his agility and high impact moves to take Jammer out and even worked over his surgically repaired knee!
Jammer rolled out and was looking to get back to POW basics. Blood distracted the ref and Jammer waffled Tantalis with a chair!
He rolled him in and applied BAD NIGHT to get the win!
Parsec was complaining to the ref, but Blood and Jammer stand victorious and are motioning for the belts. They'll have their rematch at Galaxies Collide, will they seek to amp it up by requesting a specialty match? POW Rules, maybe?
Imperial Alliance vs. Hechilles & Caiman This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: This turned out to be an incredible match. Ricken Prince proved he can wrestle when he wants to and Mimic continues to be an amazing competitor. Hechilles has all the tools and this match only served to reinforce that. Caiman was on point as well and landed one of the damnedest Mangrove Uppercuts we've ever seen.
There's no doubt the profile of both teams has been raised and they both look like legit contenders in the tag ranks.
The match went back and forth again and again and there were multiple pitfall attempts on all sides. No one could sustain momentum for too long tho. Both teams worked the double team and towards the end of the match Prince and Mimic innovated some offense when Prince put Caiman up for a Samoan drop and Mimic came off the ropes with a huge spinning wheel kick in a spectacularly brutal double team.
All of this action brought us to the final moments of the match when Hechilles had battled back against Prince and they were trading holds. Exhausted, all four men were showing the signs of battle and Prince ducked a clothesline attempt and the bell rang!
Time limit draw.
These four will meet again at Galaxies Collide and you gotta think the winner will at least be in contention for a title shot.
Star Warrior vs. Rama Star Warrior defeated Rama with a DQ at 6:40 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Rama came out with a vengeance! A hurricanrana sent Star Warrior outside and Rama hit a corkscrew pescado that had both men on the verge of being counted out, but Rama tossed Star Warrior back in at the last moment and then went back to work.
He even hit two DEIMOS DRIVERS, but Star Warrior got the shoulder up! Frustrated, he called for Tano as the ref was momentarily distracted by Cosmos trying to pep Star Warrior up from the apron.
Rama and Tano hit a double team DEIMOS DRIVER on the floor! Star Warrior is busted open!
The ref saw it, tho! He turned as Cosmos rushed over to try and make the save, but wound up being just a moment late.
The ref calls for the DQ as Cosmos cradles his bloodied partner in his arms. Warrior is able to get to his feet though, blood flowing down his face!
Later in a backstage interview, Star Warrior's head is wrapped up, blood seen through the bandages, he cuts a promo calling Rama and Tano out and he and Cosmos challenge them to a falls count anywhere match at Galaxies Collide!
The Mensans vs. Paladin Power Solar Flare defeated Trotarus with a roll up at 4:06 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: They packed a lot into this firecracker of a match. Cordanus and Trotarus stalled to begin the match and Moonstrike attacked, but Trotarus shrugged it off.
Things spilled outside early as yet another miscue cost the Mensans big time. Moonstrike hit a huge dive that wiped out both of them!
Paladin Power had a miscue of their own when Trotarus pushed Moonstrike from the top and he collided with his partner earning Cordsar a near fall.
The finish came shortly after as Trotarus went for a splash in the corner, but Flare moved and rolled the big man up for a quick 1, 2, 3!
Cordsar was beside himself, but instead of berating his partner, this time he stormed out saying he was leaving a never coming back?!?
- 2/3 Falls - Torin Caelum vs. Mangus for the Galaxian Championship Torin Caelum defeated Mangus with a CAELUM'S GRIP at 1:51 Torin Caelum defeated Mangus with a CAELUM'S GRIP at 7:32 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Wow. Dominance. Plain and simple. But it was also beautiful. Grappler. Technician. Shooter. Hooker. Sagitta Strangler. Whatever you call him, Torin Caelum is one of the all time greats. There's little doubt.
He tapped Mangus out not once, but twice with CAELUM'S GRIP. All in under 8 minutes for two straight falls to a successful title defense.
In a post match interview he said he wasn't afraid of Morpheus and has little doubt he'll face the Man from Aldebaran at his very best at Galaxies Collide and he wouldn't have it any other way. He has no illusions that he's in the twilight of his career, but as long as he can perform like he did tonight, he'd keep coming out here and defending the GWF Galaxian Title!
Morpheus came out and stared the champ down. He then said that Caelum was holding his destiny in his hands. And that come Galaxies Collide Morpheus would go as far as retiring Torin Caelum if he had to in order to win the title.
Overall Card Rating: 3.15

some surprises but the end of the night Torin Caelum retains in two straight falls dominating the Destroyer of Humans and showing Morpheus what waits for the Natural Disaster. Morpheus should watch footage and take notes or he's going to suffer the same fate. collision set and the galaxy waits with baited breath

Thanks, TTX! Really enjoying this and have set myself up schedule to try and get these out with some more regularity. 2080 is right around the corner! barflymike4ever Morpheus seemingly had an uphill battle as Caelum has been firing on all cylinders. I've tried to get the belt on Morpheus before, but he's continually come up short. Will his time finally come? Thanks for the comments!

Morpheus failed every time. sometimes he gave great matches and others he was crushed. so I think Caelum will keep the belt unless Morpheus has help
