Morpheus seems quite convinced that he is destined to claim the Galaxian Title... And it would be kinda cool to see a passing of the torch at Galaxies Collide... But, based on that last decisive title defense, I'm not sure Torin is ready for his time at the top to come to an end quite yet... Very interested to see how this program plays out...
Also looking forward to the Falls Count Anywhere encounter between the Gamemasters and the Windriders... This feud had been escalating at a rapid clip and things are going to explode at Galaxies Collide...
Awesome stuff!

Pariah Thanks, man. Morpheus/Torin Caelum has been a very organic story. I knew Morpheus was heading for a title shot to close out the year (or at least hoped he was) and Caelum has been a strong champ, naturally. Should be cool regardless of the winner come Galaxies Collide The Windriders/Gamemasters feud has been the sleeper of 2079, really. The slow turn of the Windriders into heels earlier in the year has given me a lot to play with against the young Star Warrior and Cosmos. Appreciate the comments as always, my friend.

The Road to Galaxies Collide card has been announced and we have a huge main event! A rare 6-man tag pitting the champions and challengers in one match. We'll also see the return of Silvar taking on Ricken Prince as he's been off to allow some nagging injuries to heal. Injuries, that Ricken Prince is partly responsible for. Plus Commander Sam and KO Keller seek to make a run at the tag ranks in action against former champs and arguably one of the finest tag teams of the decade, Paladin Power. All this and more!

GWF Classics #75: Road to Galaxies Collide 11.07.2079 from Ecliptic Arean, Libra
- GWF News - -Torin Caelum dominated Mangus for two straight falls to victory with his submission finisher. Can Morpheus stop the reign of one of the most gifted technicians to ever step into the squared circle? Caelum, by his own admission, feels like he’s slowing down and we’ve not seen his signature moonsault all year. There’s no denying his prowess on the mat, though. Morpheus, on the other hand, is a force of nature. His power and brawling skills are nearly unmatched, and he’s no slouch on the mat either. Could Galaxies Collide be his moment? Will he finally claim a title that many feel has been within his grasp for years? We could get a taste of what's to come in the main event... A rare 6-man tag featuring all our champions in one bout!
-Commander Sam will make his in-ring return tonight in tag action. He’ll partner with KO Keller to take on Paladin Power. A win here, would hotshot Keller and Sam to the top of the rankings, but there’s little denying that the Titan natives are one of the greatest tag teams of the last decade.
-Caiman will be in action against Mimic as the feud between Imperial Alliance and Hechilles & Caiman continues. Some say that Hechilles needs to move on from this feud and perhaps get back to singles action, but he seems content to focus on the tag ranks right now.
-Speaking of the tag ranks, though, it could be thinning. After Cordsar’s temper tantrum on the last Main Event, some are wondering if the Mensans are done with the GWF. They’ve apparently had a big offer to return to Mensa, but word is Omega is actually trying to broker a deal that would keep them here for at least a little longer. The board agrees and an offer has been made… What’s next for Trotarus and Cordsar?
-Finally, Omega has announced he will return at Galaxies Collide! But that might not be the biggest news. Rumor has it, he’s recruited a Cetus athlete to join the GWF at Deimos Perennial. If rumors prove to be true it could be a “Mighty” debut! (A promo airs promising a “Mighty” change coming to the GWF. A silhouette of a man in a blue cape is seen. Even from the silhouette we can see he’s a bear of man. A voiceover promises a competitor to fight with honor and dignity.)
Silvar vs. Ricken Prince Ricken Prince defeated Silvar with a running knee drop at 8:43 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Silvar returns! And he looked great out of the gate. He took the fight to Ricken Prince and it looked like he would use a combination of power and mat work to get a win in his return, but Ricken Prince used his normal underhanded tactics and sneaks in a shot with the ring bell to rock Silvar.
Back inside it was elementary and a running knee drop scored the win.
Hechilles was out after the match trying to get the ref to reverse his decision, but he wouldn't do it. Hechilles stared down Prince and he and Caiman will get another shot at Imperial Alliance come Galaxies Collide...
Caiman vs. Mimic Caiman defeated Mimic with THE HANDICAPPER at 1:22 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Wow! Caiman sent a strong message to Mimic and by default Imperial Alliance.
He rolled right over Mimic applying a chicken wing and then hitting a pair of brain busters followed by his finisher to get the win!
Prince came out, but Hechilles soon to follow and Ricken Prince waited for his partner to crawl out of the ring while slyly sizing up his Galaxies Collide competition.
Cosmos vs. Rama Cosmos defeated Rama with a DQ at 16:19 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Cosmos looked like a star in this one. He brutalized Rama using everything in his considerable arsenal and wasn't afraid to brawl on the outside or take to the skies.
The finish came when Cosmos slapped on his MASTERLOCK finisher, but Tano entered the ring and dropped an elbow on Cosmos! The ref called for the bell immediately and Star Warrior entered the ring and a brawl between the four broke out!
Officials were out to break things up, but these four do not like each other. It seems like things get more and more heated every time they step in the ring together. At Galaxies Collide it will be a Falls Count Anywhere match!
Paladin Power vs. Commander Sam & K.O. Keller Moonstrike defeated Commander Sam with a pinfall at 22:24 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Excellent tag match. Paladin Power is a proven commodity and this was no different than any number of spectacular performances they've put on. But Sam and Keller have come to fight. They had the former champs on the ropes numerous times and were able to work the tag and double team to their advantage.
It was a fairly even match, but Moonstrike and Flare drew some heat for a couple of things that the fans did not like including Moonstrike sneaking in a chairshot on Keller! And then there was the finish.
Sam had taken a beating and nearly been pinned multiple times, but he came back and hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP! The fans erupted as he went for the cover, but Flare came in, Keller went to cut him off, but the ref escorted him out. While Keller argued Flare gave Sam a jumping knee and draped Moonstrike over him! The ref counted the 1, 2, 3 and Paladin Power gets the win.
Though not always fan favorites, Paladin Power has never been booed like this before! And they don't seem to care. Sam and Keller are not happy about the result as Keller helps his partner up.
I sense a rematch in our future...
But wait... It's Mangus! Mangus stands at the top of the ramp and has a mic. He tells Sam he hopes he enjoys this little distraction, because the countdown to Deimos has begun. And soon, he will face his final moments in a GWF ring, because Mangus will end his career in the barbed wire cage match!
Defiance and Torin Caelum vs. Estorians and Morpheus Torin Caelum defeated Tantalis with a double team assist at 4:30 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This was an out and out brawl. Defiance does not take too kindly to being dethroned by the Estorians and it showed here. Action spilled out of the ring early and stayed there, but eventually it came back in and Caelum got the tag.
He went to work over Tantalis and made a cover, but Parsec broke it up. While Caelum broke the hold, Blood and Jammer came in and spiked Tantalis with a double team brain buster!
Caelum didn't look pleased with the underhanded tactic, but took the pin fall regardless. Of course, Parsec wasn't happy... But Morpheus...
Morpheus didn't seem to care... He was at the timekeepers table staring at the Galaxian championship. As the timekeeper went to give it to Caelum, Morpheus snatched it away and got in the ring.
Caelum and Morpheus are in the center of the ring and Caelum is clearly ready to go...
Morpheus finally hands the belt off and extends his hand. Caelum takes it, but Morpheus yanks him in and says: Come Galaxies Collide, IT'S MINE!
Overall Card Rating: 2.62

Things are heating up nicely between the Gamemasters and the Windriders... Should be an awesome Falls Count Anywhere match between the two talented teams...
Also love the building tension between Morpheus and Caelum... Will Morpheus finally realize his 'destiny' and become the champion at Galaxies Collide?
Speaking of the big event, one has to wonder if Omega will steal the spotlight with his Mighty reveal... Should be interesting...
Exciting times!

Pariah Yeah, the WIndriders/Gamemasters feud is something I didn't really expect to come back to, but the fuse was lit one year ago at Galaxies Collide '78, so it'll be very interesting to see who comes out on top. Wouldn't be surprised if we get another match out of it. Morpheus/Caelum hasn't been my traditional build, in fact, I was pleasantly surprised they never squared off in the 6-man tag. Looking forward to that main event. Omega has a lot of plates in the air right now. Behind the scenes he's mentoring a couple of talents and trying to bring folks in. It's a role that keeps him out of the main event spotlight, but considering he was there for the better part of 4 years, I'm okay with it. That said, I think he'll kick off the 80s by stepping up and showing off some of the new talent. TTX I was surprised by Mimic. He's performed really strong for me and gotten some big upsets on occasion, but it was Caiman's night. The tag contest at Galaxies Collide could give the mime from hell a chance to shine, though and exact some revenge. Thanks for the comments, guys!

GWF Classics #76: Galaxies Collide 11.26.2079 from Cassini Auditorium, Mars
- GWF News - -Here we are! Our year end show, Galaxies Collide '79! As we get ready to ring in the 80s, we've got an action packed card that includes a POW Rules 2/3 Falls Tag Team title match and, of course, Morpheus challenging Torin Caelum in a 2/3 Falls match for the Galaxian Championship!
-MORPHEUS: Tonight is the night. Five long years I've scratched and clawed, I've beaten and broken, I've upheld honor and I've succumbed to lies. I've cheated... I've fought... I've won... And I've lost. But tonight... Tonight, Torin Caelum, you are all that stands in my way. It's not Omega I see across the ring tonight. No, it's the Sagitta Strangler. Well, Strangler, be ready for the Natural Disaster! Because when I strike, I will send you on a Trip to Hades that you will never return from!
-TORIN CAELUM: Time... Time is the enemy of us all. And I make no illusions. I can't go on forever. Diamonds will turn to rust. But... Not tonight! Not this time! Not here and now! Morpheus, I want everything you've got. I know when the dust settles there will be blood, sweat, and tears! Broken and battered bodies! And one shall stand, one shall fall. But I am not ready to go into that dark night! I am not ready to rest in peace! And if you should try to take me to Hades, I will not go quietly!
-A promo airs. Much like the last one a hulking man in a cape is backlit. The word "Mighty" appears in script across the screen as the camera zooms in and gives us our first glimpse of a bald, bearded, bear of a man. The Mighty Grogan is coming to the GWF. He fights for Honor. He fights for Respect. He fights to win! Might Grogan will make his debut at the Deimos Perennial!
-Following Galaxies Collide our year end special will air featuring awards for Wrestler of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, Match of the Year, and much more! We will also announce the full card for the Deimos Perennial! Now... let's get to the action!
- Falls Count Anywhere - The Windriders vs. The Gamemasters Star Warrior defeated Tano with a CETUS SLEEPER on the entryway at 7:51 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Whoa... The Windriders were simps not prepared for the fire that Cosmos and Star Warrior brought with them.
Cosmos nearly scored a very early tap out with the MASTERLOCK, but Rama made the ropes. Cosmos kept the hold on a little long, taking advantage of the stipulations.
Tano tried to get something started for his team, but much to the crowd's delight, Cosmos cut him off and made the tag to Star Warrior!
The action spilled out and all four started brawling in the arena!
Warrior got Tano on the entry way and locked in the CETUS SLEEPER! He choked him out!
Gamemasters win in convincing style and you gotta think, that after a year of rivalry, the Gamemasters are the winners of this feud.
Cosmos and Star Warrior celebrate and say into the camera that they're coming for the Estorians!
Imperial Alliance vs. Hechilles & Caiman Hechilles defeated Mimic with a tornado bulldog at 8:03 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: While not as one sided as the opening contest, it still wasn't a spectacular back and forth affair.
Mimic took a beating from Caiman and Hechilles, but Prince was able to beat down Caiman in return.
The finish was elementary, though, as Hechilles dissected Mimic with an array of his best moves including the belly to back release suplex, undertook DDT, and finally the tornado bulldog for the 1, 2, 3.
Prince barely seemed bothered to try and make the save. It was almost as if he didn't care about the loss as long as he wasn't the one getting pinned.
Hechilles and Caiman celebrated the win and with the tag ranks heating up in the GWF, you wonder who they might take on next to get in contention for the titles.
Omega vs. Mangus Omega defeated Mangus with an Indian Death Lock at 3:46 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Wow. Perhaps he felt the need to make an impact after being away from the ring for a couple of months. Maybe he wanted to send a statement to Mangus after he basically cheated his way to a title shot. Whatever the reason, Omega took Mangus apart piece by piece.
Omega used a combination of big moves like the belly to belly slam and the piledriver along with solid mat wrestling to set up the submission. Including a near tap out from an abdominal stretch. Eventually it was the Indian Death Lock that got the win.
Omega was soaking in the cheers of the crowd and thanking them when Mangus proved he wasn't done, tho...
He smashed Omega with a chair and began beating the living legend down!
Star Warrior, Cosmos, and Commander Sam were out. Mangus seemed to be daring Sam to get in the ring with him. If they lay hands on each other, they're gone! But if Sam strikes Mangus, he's out, while Mangus wins the day.
Warrior and Cosmos get Omega out of the ring. Sam is on the apron and Mangus drops the chair and sticks his chin out...
The crowd is begging Sam not to to do it...
KO Keller is out and slides in the ring... He spins Mangus around and clocks him!
He says: No one said I couldn't I touch you!
The crowd pops as Keller keeps his partner away from Mangus.
Sam and Mangus will finally collide again in the barbed wire steel cage at the Deimos Perennial 2080!
Meanwhile Keller and Sam have a match with Paladin Power... Next!
Commander Sam & K.O. Keller vs. Paladin Power Moonstrike defeated Commander Sam with a PALADIN DROP at 8:56 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Man, there was some heat behind this one.
Flare and Sam started things off and it went back and forth before Flare took the advantage and went for the early pin fall.
Sam and Keller came back, though and scored multiple near falls on Flare, who was saved by his partner.
The action spilled out and Flare was busted open!
Keller had full control, or so it seemed, but Flare hit a clothesline and made the desperation tag. Moonstrike was on fire and basically a one-man show at that point.
Keller was able to hot tag Sam and the fans popped as he took over, building a head of steam.
Moonstrike was tossed outside, but was able to drag Sam out and while the ref checked on Flare's cut, he got away with one! He set up a chair and body slammed Sam on it! The fans were hot, but Moonstrike rolled him in and hit PALADIN DROP to get the 1, 2, 3 as Flare was able to hold off Keller from the save!
Flare knocked Keller out of the ring as Moonstrike grabbed the chair from earlier and executed the PALADIN DROP with the chair!
Sam is hurt! He's coughing up blood! What is Paladin Power doing?!?! The fans are throwing trash into the ring as Keller finally decks Flare and gets in to tend to his partner.
Sam has one of the biggest matches of his career at Deimos Perennial! Will he be full strength after this heinous attack? And what is to come of this burgeoning feud?
- 2/3 Falls POW Rules - Defiance vs. Estorians for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Tantalis defeated Jammer with a SUPERKICK at 19:17 Parsec defeated Blood with a slingshot suplex at 34:43 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: The former champs, Defiance, were looking for redemption. The new champs were looking to keep their undefeated streak alive along with the titles.
It was a crazy back and forth brawl. They kept things mostly in the ring, but it did nothing to lessen the have and intensity between the four.
Jammer was a bloody mess about half way through after the match did spill outside for a brief spell and chairs were brought into play.
One crazy spot came after Parsec locked in o the ESTORIAN LOCK on Jammer and Blood made the save. A huge brawl erupted with all four in the ring and a table was brought inside. It looked like Defiance would take the advantage, but Tantalis super kicked Blood and then the Estorians put Jammer through the table with a double team slingshot suplex.
They'd win the first fall shortly after when Tantalis hit the SUPERKICK on Jammer.
The next fall was hotly contested. Multiple pin fall attempts on both sides and it was anyone's game.
It was like history repeating, though, when the Estorians brought tables into the ring, but this time Defiance got the advantage and Jammer piledrove Tantalis through one of the tables!
Bloodied, he tagged his partner in and it looked like Defiance might have a shot, but the Estorians proved too much and Parsec was able to score the second consecutive fall with a slingshot suplex.
Dominance by the Galaxian Tag Team Champions. Who will their challengers be at the Deimos Perennial?
- 2/3 Falls - Morpheus vs. Torin Caelum for the Galaxian Championship Morpheus defeated Torin Caelum with a pinning combo at 13:32 Torin Caelum defeated Morpheus with a DQ at 11:04 Morpheus defeated Torin Caelum with a TRIP TO HADES at 29:11 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: Unreal. Morpheus made the champ wrestle his match for the most part. They brawled out of the ring and both men were busted open by the finish.
It was a classic ring war that was not without some amount of controversy as Morpheus was actually DQ'd early on. But this was after a lot of leniency for both men. In fact Caelum backdropped Morpheus through a table and Morpheus hit a drop toe hold on a chair. It was chaos.
Caelum kicked out of two TRIPS TO HADES and Morpheus escaped CAELUM'S GRIP!
Incredible see saw action the whole way. Shortly after Morpheus was DQ'd, he was able to even the score with a pinning combo off the ropes that caught the champ by surprise.
We were evened at one a piece and Caelum was bleeding profusely heading into the third fall. He was able to even the odds tho and soon both were wearing the crimson mask.
Torin came to life and began stretching Morpheus like only the Sagitta Strangler can! Morpheus proved resilient, though, and one could argue that Caelum wasn't able to use as much torque due to the blood loss. In fact, he couldn't capitalize on a couple of big moves, either.
Morpheus came back and began utilizing a few holds of his own. They chain wrestled in spite of being on the brink of exhaustion...
Cobra grip! Caelum makes the ropes. Morpheus shoots him into the opposite side, but Caelum comes back with a shoulder tackle! He whips Morpheus into the corner... Morpheus moves! A roll up! 1... 2... NO!!
Morpheus roars in the middle of the ring! Caelum is up... TRIP TO HADES!!!! 1... 2... 3!!!
Morpheus has done it! Morpheus is the NEW Galaxian Champion! After 5 long years, the Natural Disaster, the Man from Aldebaran has achieved the greatness he's sought since day one.
Both men are barely standing, bleeding, and exhausted after one of the damnedest title matches we've seen in a while. They brawled around the ring, destroying tables and chairs, they exchanged holds and big moves in the middle, they went back and forth for nearly 30 minutes, but now we have a new GWF Champ!
The ref raises Morpheus' hand, blood streaming down his face and chest... Caelum, on wobbly legs, grabs the belt from the ref... He looks at it for a moment and then hands it off to Morpheus, shakes his hand and bows. The fans pop as Caelum waves to them and exits the ring.
Morpheus looks down at the belt and takes a moment. He raises the belt high as the era of the Natural Disaster begins!
We'll have plenty of news in out year end wrap up show, including the full card for the Deimos Perennial, but for now, we're calling it a night!
Morpheus won the Galaxian Championship
Overall Card Rating: 3.02

Galaxies did, in fact, Collide as Morpheus claims his spot at the top in a 5 Star spectacle... Classy exit by Torin, who passes the torch to the new champion... Not sure what to expect, but it surely won't be boring...
Stoked that the Estorians held onto the tag belts and I've gotta feeling we might be seeing them defend the gold against the Gamemasters very soon... Maybe Cosmos and Star Warrior will get their shot at the Deimos Perennial... A definite money maker there...
Tension continues to build between Sam and Mangus... Great job by Keller, keeping his tag partner out of hot water...
Great fun, from start to finish, my friend... Absolutely entertaining!
