Always enjoy your take on this classic era, my friend... Too bad the undefeated streak of the Estorians came to an end... But, it was a pretty sweet run and I have faith they can reclaim those belts... Absolutely entertaining!

Justin Case It was a great card to come back to the game with. I had fun with it. Equally bummed about Morpheus. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here...

Pariah Thanks for the comments! The Estorians have cemented themselves as one of the finest tag teams in the GWF and they'll definitely not be on a shortage for opportunities in the future, but all good things...

GWF Classics #84: The Main Event 04.21.2080 from Janus Star Center, Saturn
-Weβve got new GWF Tag Team Champions! Hechilles and Caiman unseated the undefeated Estorians in two straight falls. Parsec and Tantalis will almost certainly want a rematch, but the Gamemasters have also been granted a title shot. Cosmos will take on Hechilles in singles action tonight, but which team will get the shot first?
-In the meantime, Moonstrike is looking for some revenge against Star Warrior and theyβll square off in out opening contest.
-KO Keller has retained his title in an epic brawl with Morpheus. He'll get a well-deserved night off, but soon he must face the challenge of his sometimes partner and protege, Commander Sam. Knowing these two, no amount of comraderie will get in the way of their desire to win and be the best!
-Meanwhile, Mighty Grogan has continued his impressive streak and will seek to cement himself at the top of the card by challenging Commander Sam before he gets his title shot on the next main event.
-Speaking of main events, Torin Caelum and Omega will continue their best of seven series after Caelum was able to keep things alive with a big win over Omega at Galactic Wars. Will he force #7? Or will Omega end it tonight?
Moonstrike vs. Star Warrior Moonstrike defeated Star Warrior with a count-Out at 4:49 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Stemming from The Gamemasters defeat of Paladin Power, specifically Star Warrior using the CETUS SLEEPER to put Moonstrike out for the win, we're getting this singles contest.
Moonstrike came out hot and hit a succession of big moves including the Titan Drop and a moonsault.
He tossed Star Warrior outside and went for a plancha, but Star Warrior moved! Moonstrike was hurt and Star Warrior rolled in, dazed himself, he hit a suicide dive that had both men out on the floor nearly resulting in a double count-out.
Warrior was up and rolled Moonstrike in, he applied the CETUS SLEEPER, but Moonstrike made the ropes! Warrior came off the top with a flying tomahawk chop and applied the sleeper again, but Solar Flare would distract the ref!
Warrior went out and chased Flare up the entryway, but it ended up costing him the match due to a count-out!
The Crosscurrents vs. Imperial Alliance Ricken Prince defeated Thetis with a BOW TO THE PRINCE at 4:17 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: RIcken Prince was in a bad mood after his loss to Mighty Grogan at Galactic Wars, but Thetis and Vortex are no pushovers.
Mimic started off with Vortex and the two went back and forth briefly. Mimic was able to get some momentum, but before going too far, Vortex made the tag and Thetis started to wear the mime down.
A mistimed move in the corner swung the momentum back and Prince came in and went straight for the kill. ROYAL DECREE couldn't get it done and Vortex came in to attempt the save, but Mimic was in too. While the ref was escorting them out, Prince hit BOW TO THE PRINCE and made the cover for the dirty 1, 2, 3!
Cosmos vs. Hechilles Hechilles defeated Cosmos with THE END at 11:27 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: While Star Warrior was attending to unfinished business of what came before, Cosmos had an opportunity to make a statement in the next challenge for the Gamemasters.
Hechilles and Caiman are the new tag team champions after dethroning the undefeated Estorians, but they face a ready challenge.
This was a great match. Cosmos came out of the gate strong and brought the fight to Hechilles.
Hechilles came back, though, and they jockeyed for position. They traded near falls, but Hechilles would settle into a groove and made Cosmos absorb a ton of punishment.
A big moment came after Cosmos tried to rally. Hechilles sent him into the corner and Cosmos came out with a huge lariat and made a cover for 2!
The action spilled outside and Cosmos was sent back first into the post! Hechilles went to work on his back and then rolled him in for the clover leaf, but Cosmos made the ropes.
Hechilles then hoisted him up for THE END and got the 1, 2, 3!
Star Warrior saw to his partner as the new tag champs celebrated the win. Is this a sign of things to come for the new challengers?
Parsec and Tantalis are out! They jump the new champs and then taunt the Gamemasters!
Parsec announces that before the Gamemasters get their shot, they want a rematch and they want it on the next Main Event!
Commander Sam vs. Mighty Grogan This match ended in a draw (No Contest) at N/A Match Notes: The match never even started. After Sam had made his way to the ring to a good ovation, Mighty Grogan's music hit. But he never made it further than the entrance way...
Mangus returned! Not seen since the brutal barbed wire cage match at Deimos, the Cygnusian confused the crowd and Sam as he laid out Grogan and then disappeared to the back!
Sam and officials checked on Grogan and then KO Keller came out!
He told Sam there was no reason to wait and there was no one else for him to have to beat. If he still wanted a match, he could have his title shot tonight!
Sam agreed and the match will take place later!
Omega vs. Torin Caelum Omega defeated Torin Caelum with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 12:35 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Torin Caelum has a chance to extend the best of 7 series to it's final match with a win here after besting Omega at Galactic Wars.
This was another near classic from two of the very best. They went back and forth and traded near falls and submissions the whole way. It was really anybody's match.
Caelum's knee was bothering him after the Indian Death Lock and he was limping a bit.
Likewise, Omega's shoulder was once again targeted.
The finish saw them string a succession of moves together back and forth, but Omega hit a Cetus Suplex out of no where and was able to score a near fall and then hit the TOMAWHAK THRUST for the match and the series.
Omega helped Torin Caelum to his feet and a handshake turned into an embrace as the fans cheered. Caelum thanked Omega and the fans as Omega left the ring for Caelum to take a bow.
We know Torin Caelum will be back for the Filsinger Cup Tournament, but this was an emotional moment for the fans and one of the all time greats.
- 2/3 Falls - Commander Sam vs. K.O. Keller for the Galaxian Championship K.O. Keller defeated Commander Sam with THE TEN COUNT at 5:56 K.O. Keller defeated Commander Sam with Keller's Flying Knee at 15:56 Match Rating: 3.5 Match Notes: Maybe it was the return of Mangus earlier, or maybe Keller is simply in a class of his own right now, but Commander Sam got dropped in two straight falls, coming up short in his title challenge.
He fought hard and even scored a few near falls, but Keller's offense was too much. He missed it up with strikes and hit hard and fast while also showing resilience of his own.
The first fall came after he hit his second TEN COUNT and then he came back after a pier 6 brawl on the outside and a chicken wing suplex got a near fall, but he followed immediately with a huge flying knee to score the 1, 2, 3.
Afterwards Keller showed no sympathy for his former protege and partner and hefted his belt over his shoulder and made his way to the back as a dejected and defeated Commander Sam sat wounded in the corner.
Overall Card Rating: 3.19

Rough time for the Gamemasters with both losing in singles competition... And then suffering some additional humiliation at the hands of the former tag champs... Looks like the Estorians have turned a corner and they want their title rematch now... Awesome show!

GWF Classics #85: The Main Event 05.18.2080 from Emerald Isle, Miranda, Uranus
-Weβve got a Galaxian Tag Team Championship match in our main event tonight as the Estorians get their rematch against the new champs, Hechilles & Caiman! You can bet the Gamemasters will be paying close attention as they are next in line.
-First, though, Star Warrior wanted another match with Moonstrike after his count out loss on the last main event. Officials have guaranteed that Solar Flare will be banned from ringside tonight.
-After suffering a dastardly attack at the hands of Mangus, Mighty Grogan will be looking for a measure of revenge as they square off in the ring tonight!
-Commander Sam lost his bid to become GWF champ. Where does he go from here? Will the outcome of the Mangus/Grogan match help him figure that out?
-Lastly, the CrossCurrents have their sights set on Imperial Alliance in individual action tonight. Will Thetis topple Ricken Prince after the humiliation of BOW TO THE PRINCE?
Mimic vs. Vortex Mimic defeated Vortex with a MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER at 18:07 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Mimic toyed with Vortex with a mime routine as the bell rang, but Vortex was having none of it. He went to work on Mimic in a nice methodical pace, but Mimic bounced back and gave as good as he got.
Mimic dictated a wild pace for a while and had the edge in speed and agility. He went up top and blasted him with a flying clothesline, even hitting a plancha a little bit later.
Vortex was somehow able to mount a comeback as they brawled at the ringside area! Back inside, Vortex pulled out all of his big moves and shot Mimic into the corner, but Mimic's quickness paid off again and he rolled up Vortex for a near fall!
Before Vortex could even get to his feet, Mimic slapped on the MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER and scored the win!
Moonstrike vs. Star Warrior Star Warrior defeated Moonstrike with a CETUS SLEEPER at 5:00 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Star Warrior was on fire tonight and the fans were behind him all the way.
He dialed it up to 11 with a huge dive to the outside that had Moonstrike reeling. He followed it up with more aerial moves inside and then scored a near fall with a flying body press.
He signaled for the end and locked in the CETUS SLEEPER!
Cosmos was out to celebrate with his partner as the ref raised his hand in victory.
When asked after the match for their thoughts on the main event, Cosmos and Star Warrior gave measured responses, acknowledging the challenge either team would present, but vowing that their time was coming and it was their destiny, it was written in the stars, for them to be the tag team champions.
Ricken Prince vs. Thetis Ricken Prince defeated Thetis with an elbow drop at 5:36 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Ricken Prince jawed with Thetis and made fun of him prior to the bout, vowing to make him bow to the Prince once again.
They jockeyed for position early on and Thetis was able get an advantage on the big man much to the fans delight. It resulted in a near fall, but it wasn't to last and Prince came back big.
He boxed Thetis' ears and then dropped a big elbow to score a 1, 2, 3!
After the match he continued to stomp on Thetis and Mimic made his way in to assist his partner, but Vortex would make the save. It looks like this has only just begun!
Mighty Grogan vs. Mangus Mighty Grogan defeated Mangus with a brainbuster at 4:28 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Wow! Mighty Grogan sent a message tonight!
He clobbered Mangus at the very start of the match and continued to pummel Mangus for the majority of the match, scoring multiple near falls.
Eventually, he scored the win with a brain buster and stood tall.
Commander Sam made his way out and told Grogan he was glad to see him take out this piece of trash, but that they'd never gotten to have their match.
Grogan told Sam he had his eyes on a bigger prize. A prize that Sam couldn't muster the strength to win, but that Grogan promises to have, because he's calling out K.O. Keller!
- 2/3 Falls - Estorians vs. Hechilles & Caiman for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Caiman defeated Tantalis with a double team assist at 2:53 This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Expired) at 60:00 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: This unbelievable match got off to a wild start! Caiman was in control, but Tantalis went for a sunset flip out of no where and then hit the SUPERKICK!
Hechilles was in to break it up and Parsec tried to cut him off. In the chaos that ensued, Hechilles dropped Tantalis with an undertook DDT and Caiman made a cover! 1, 2, 3! The first fall goes to the champs!
The next 55+ minutes told an entirely different story! These four put on an incredible match that went back and forth and had stretches of one-on-one action, double-team maneuvers, and hot tags. The resilience of the champs was on full display as they escaped ESTORIAN LOCKS and pinball attempts.
Things broke down on more than one occasion, but the ref gave some leeway and all four men brawled in and out of the ring.
The end of the match came when Hechilles locked in a clover-leaf on Parsec... The bell rang and the fans thought Parsec had tapped out, but the ref was just as confused!
The time limit had expired! The champs are on the verge of exhaustion, but retain their titles in an incredible match.
Will the GWF officials see fit to give the Estorians another shot?
[Parsec - 1 token, Tantalis - 1 token, Caiman - 7 tokens!, Hechilles - 5 tokens!]
Overall Card Rating: 2.90

I'm not sure what was more amazing...57 minutes plus between fall and time limit...or that the Estorians took the only fall loss while only having one pin token each.
Nice wins by Mimic and Prince as well.

TTX such a crazy match, man. Tantalis' 8(5) pin is what did him in right out of the gate. And then neither Caiman or Hechilles could hit their finishers. I use a (real time) x 1.5 = match time, so it was 40 minutes in real time. I couldn't believe it. Especially with the number of pin attempts and finishers from the Estorians, but between saves and miraculous kick outs (Caiman was hit with Tantalis' SUPERKICK +2 and needed a 10 to kick out... he rolled 12!) the champs wouldn't stay down. Imperial Alliance might not be title contenders but they provide lots of fun on the under card and Prince always stokes the fires as probably being the only true villain at this stage of the GWF. Thanks for reading and commenting!

I will personally lobby the front office on behalf of the Estorians... Give them a rematch! An absolutely stellar performance by both teams and the fans deserve a clear cut winner... So let's make it happen!
