WERECATS CLAIM TAG TEAM TITLES
Tag team gold changed hands on the DSCW card at the Pictor Collonade of the Arts on November 21, 2113. As is customary, DSCW Commissioner Phantast began the card by speaking from the center of the ring.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome,” Phantast began. “We have a great event for you this evening. As we lead up to our big year-ending ‘Final Challenge’ supercard and the main event between Jake Storm and Daeron Blackoak, which is now less than a month away, we want to give both wrestlers a sort of a tune up. Therefore, tonight, Blackoak will face a smaller wrestler who is even faster than Storm: Ryuujin. DSCW Heavyweight champion Storm, on the other hand, will face the only wrestler we have that’s as big and powerful as Blackoak: the monster Behemyth. In our main event, the Lycan Alliance will challenge Native Uprising for the tag team titles. In addition, Baron Michael Strauss has asked for a Titan Death Match with his former ally, Bloodstorm . . .”
As the commissioner spoke, he was interrupted by the entrance music for Keth Vale. Vale marched down the aisle to the ring and grabbed a microphone.
“No disrespect intended, commissioner,” Vale stated,” but I think you’re forgetting about me. Bloodstorm attacked me just as much as he did the Baron on the last card. It was my match he interrupted, too. I want in on this.”
Phantast shrugged. “Sounds good to me. Let’s make it a three-way match then: Keth Vale against Strauss against Bloodstorm. The three of you can settle your differences all at the same time. Good luck to you. And now, let’s get this card started.”
Black Opps defeated Primal Fear
Time: 5:03
Yet another loss for Primal Fear as The Beast went down to Black Opps’ “Neutralized” finisher.
Sho Jyn-Roh defeated Ciber Naught by DQ
Time: 4:49
This match was a good, clean contest until Ciber Naught was disqualified for accidentally hitting the referee.
Between matches, a backstage interviewer asked Bloodstorm about his actions in attacking Baron Michael Strauss and Keth Vale on the previous card. “Vale was just in the way,” the vampire responded. “He means nothing, to me or to anyone else. I took all of Strauss’ orders all year, and look where it got me. I should be one of the top stars in this federation. Instead, I’m seen as a lackey for a former champion. I’m through with it. I needed a change, and I thought that incident on the last card was the best way to give Strauss my resignation. If he doesn’t like it, he knows where to find me.”
Brock Mason defeated Drake the Black Tiger by DQ
Time: 3:38
Brock made a good fight of this match and got his first singles win of the year when Drake lost his cool and blasted him with a chair.
Vicious and Delicious defeated Big Bubba Butcher and Manta
Time: 5:02
Eddie Dio and Mr. Vain, who were so unsuccessful at the beginning of the year that they were kicked off Baron Strauss’ “Supreme Dominance” team, continued their climb up the rankings as Vain connected with an atomic drop and clothesline to score the pin on Butcher.
Rak’ashan defeated Tarloc
Time: 8:17
This match was the best on the card as the powerhouse Tarloc put up a great fight against the wild Lycan leader. The two fought all over the ring, with the advantage shifting back and forth multiple times and the werecat repeatedly coming close to disqualification, until Rak finally put his opponent away with a guillotine neckbreaker.
Ryuujin defeated Daeron Blackoak by DQ
Time: 3:10
Blackoak seemed bored throughout the match and finally just began pounding down his smaller opponent and refused to follow the referee’s command to break, leading to what appeared to be an intentional disqualification.
After the match, Za’ara Koravel, the queen and manager of the Atlantis Elves, spoke for Blackoak. “Daeron Blackoak is the greatest wrestler in this federation, and he is sick of waiting for his championship match. Now the commissioner puts him up against an insignificant nothing like that masked man? It’s an outrage. The great Blackoak will not fight again until it is against Jake Storm for the heavyweight title.”
Adrenalynne defeated Elven Glory
Time: 5:29
In another good matchup between these top tag teams, Adrenalynne once again came out on top as Michael Collins hit a “Rushing Torpedo” on Thalian Nyzea.
Tirion Triple Threat Match
Keth Vale defeated Bloodstorm in a match also involving Baron Michael Strauss
Time: 7:01
Bloodstorm and Strauss squared off at first, but then the Baron seemed to back away and watch as Vale hammered down Bloodstorm and beat him with a “Redemption.” Bloodstorm was injured by the assault and is likely to miss the next card.
When the match was over, Strauss commented to an interviewer. “I thought it was best to let Vale get the revenge he wanted so he’ll stay out of the way from now on,” the Baron said haughtily. “I care nothing about him. He got what he wanted, and I advise him to be satisfied and leave this situation alone now. I want Bloodstorm all by myself on the ‘Final Challenge’ supercard. I’ll show that pale-skinned freak what happens to those who are not loyal to me.”
Titan Hardcore Match
The Matador of M83 defeated Ka’shii
Time: 5:40
The Matador remained hot and Ka’shii came up short in this tough battle that ended with a “Bullwhip.”
Non-Title Match
DSCW Heavyweight Champion “Heartthrob” Jake Storm defeated Behemyth
Time: 6:21
The hulking monster from Ceres, who has been on a recent hot streak, gave Storm a great challenge but eventually fell to the “Heart of the Storm.”
DSCW Tag Team Championship Match
The Lycan Alliance defeated Native Uprising (c)
Time: 5:54
Black Hawk and Collin Redfeather finally saw their tag team title reign end after nearly eight months as the werecats put in a dominant performance. The outcome never seemed to be in doubt as the Lycans manhandled both opponents before putting away Redfeather with a “Bitter Loss” to win the tag team belts for the first time.
“This is as it should be,” Lhynkyra said after the card. “We came here to be champions. We took out Primal Fear, which was just a necessary stop on the way. But now we are where we wanted to be. We deserve these belts, and no one is taking them away from us.”
Commissioner Phantast also commented on the evening’s events. “So Blackoak doesn’t want to fight on the next card? Fine with me. It’s the last one before Final Challenge, so let him sit it out. I’m told Bloodstorm will be out, too, but I am granting the Baron’s request for a match with him on the supercard. So we’ll be missing a couple of people next time, but I promise we’ll still have great action leading into Final Challenge.”
