TYRANNY UNMASKED HAS MUTANT SAVED PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING? The most stunning event to occur in a GWF ring in recent memory happened on a card at Fire Island of Mercury on November 26, 2111.
The situation took place after an undercard match between Mutant and the GWF’s newest wrestler, the masked Tyranny. Mutant dominated the contest, sending the rookie to his fourth loss in as many outings. After the bell, however, Mutant continued his beating of his opponent. Then, following some unexplained primitive urge, the winner reached over and ripped the mask off the face of his stunned opponent. The crowd gasped and fell silent as Tyranny tried to cover his exposed face. Mutant, apparently confused by the sudden lack of spectator noise, allowed the referee to lead him from the ring. But the damage was done, as the man now unmasked in the ring was a familiar face to everyone in the audience and in the galaxy: Tyranny was in reality UFSP President Cordanus, the man who had spent the last three years trying to have wrestling banned. As Cordanus stood dazed in the ring, GWF Commissioner Morpheus marched out of the backstage area, microphone in hand. He climbed through the ropes and stood face to face with the person who had attempted to destroy professional wrestling. “What do you think you’re doing?” the commissioner snapped. “It’s not enough that you get our cards cancelled and our wrestlers banned from arenas. Now you show up and mock us like this?” “No!” cried Cordanus, who had also been handed a microphone. “I wasn’t mocking anyone.” “Then what is this all about?” Cordanus stammered a bit as he spoke. “Well, you know that a few months ago I started coming to arenas personally to get wrestlers banned. I stayed to watch the cards, planning to get examples of violence to use against you. And I just sort of . . . got hooked. I’m young enough to wrestle. When I was growing up, I was a big fan. I’ve had family members in wrestling. So the more I was in the arenas, the more I had the urge to give it a try.” Morpheus shook his head. “You’re pathetic,” he said. “And yet, even while you were misrepresenting yourself and trying to wrestle, you were still getting cards cancelled.” Cordanus shrugged, becoming somewhat calmer and bolder. “I didn’t know how this would all turn out. I still don’t. I was not going to just stop with what I’ve worked so hard for.” “Well, you’re finished now,” the commissioner said. “You’ve been exposed for what you really are. Your credibility is shot.” “Don’t be too sure of that,” Cordanus snapped. “I’m still UFSP President. I still have a lot of powerful friends.” Morpheus scowled. “We’ll see about that. I think you’re going to be a laughingstock.” “Maybe, but I can still cause you a lot of trouble,” the president smiled. “Unless you want to negotiate.” The commissioner frowned and stared angrily at the Cordanus for a moment. “I’m still not sure you have any leverage to bargain with,” he said, “but let’s hear what you have in mind anyway.” “I’ll stop the bans and cancellations. Wrestling will not be destroyed,” Cordanus began. “In return, I want a ten year unbreakable contract for me and for a friend I want to bring in. The contract will not allow either of us to be fired or suspended for any reason. And we will both have the right to challenge for any title we want, whenever we want. The same provisions will apply to anyone I choose to manage.” Cordanus smiled again. “You give me that, and you can keep your sport.” Morpheus continued to glare angrily. “Alright, now here’s my offer,” he resonded. “I’ll consider your request for a contract, and I’ll give you an answer in December at Galacticade. You bring your friend with you to the year-ending supercard so I can meet him, and I’ll have a decision for you then. “In the meantime, you will do three things,” Morpheus continued. “First, call off the dogs. The bans on wrestlers and cancelled cards stop immediately, both for us in the GWF and for the USWF. If one more card is interfered with, all bets are off.” “Second, since you did not sign your temporary contract for Tyranny under your real name, it is now void. You will stay out of our wrestling rings until I decide on the new contract request. “And third, you will tell me who in our talent development offices you bribed to get that contract in the first place.” “Wait a minute,” Cordanus responded angrily. “I didn’t bribe anyone.” Morpheus cut off the protest. “This is not debatable,” he said. “There is no way anyone in our office would have called you a ‘future cruiserweight champion’ without a payoff. The reports I got on you were glowing. They do not match the reality. And I will not have someone working in my offices that can be bought. So you will give me the name, and that is that. Now, do we have a deal?” Cordanus, no longer smiling, stared sullenly downward. “Alright,” he said finally. “It’s a deal.” “Fine,” the commissioner finished. “Then you will have my decision on your contract request at Galacticade. Until then, get out of my ring.” The two men left the ring, moving away in opposite directions. The commissioner would comment no further on the matter after the card, but the wrestler bans and card cancellations from which the GWF and the USWF had suffered for three years stopped immediately. Professional wrestling appears to have a future again, and all due to the most unlikely of saviors: Mutant, who in a fit of unthinking animal instinct tore off Tyranny’s mask and perhaps saved a sport.
THE TRAITOR IS REPAID Another of the GWF’s established tag teams broke up on a card at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena on November 18. The incident occurred during a match between the Ninja Assassins and Cygnus Strikeforce. The contest was Maelstrom’s first in several weeks after having suffered an injury at the hands of Sam’s Commandos. After a normal start to the match, matters broke down when U. S. Traitor attempted to make his first tag out to his partner. Malestrom pulled back his and from the tag and then dropped down off the ring apron. As the stunned U. S. Traitor shouted for an explanation, Maelstrom and Cygnus Strikeforce Manager Mangus walked away from ringside and returned to the locker room. The contest did not last much longer. Fighting two against one, the Ninjas took less than two minutes to devastate U. S. Traitor with a “Double Edged Sword.” As soon as the bell rang, however, Maelstrom and Mangus ran back to the ring and attacked their partner, beating the Traitor down viciously for five full minutes. No help came from the wrestlers in the back, and the fallen victim was at the mercy of his former teammates until officials finally broke up the beatdown. After the card, Manus commented on the attack. “He’s always been a useless human,” said the alien manager. “When he allowed Maelstrom to be injured by the Commandos, I knew we couldn't depend on him. And he’s held Maelstrom back for years, but I allowed it to go on because my plans were not yet fully shaped. Now I am ready to move forward. In 2112 you will see a brand new team under my direction, with a big surprise joining us from Cygnus. And we will have no more to do with weak humans like the Traitor. Let him crawl back to his own kind.” Several days later, U. S. Traitor also addressed the situation. “I’m sort of out of options,” he said. “I’ve tried to contact some of my old friends, like Commander Sam and the Canadian Bomber, but they want nothing to do with me. I can’t even get Miss Liberty to speak to me. I guess I’ve burned a lot of bridges. At this point, I’ll finish the year, and then we’ll see what happens. After all I’ve been through in over twenty years in this business, maybe it is time to hang up the boots.”
MORPHEUS ANNOUNCES GALACTICADE MAIN EVENT On December 5 GWF Commissioner Morpheus issued the following statement regarding the main event for the Galacticade Supercard to be held on December 22. “As you all know, USWF Champion Raven has issued a challenge to GWF Champion Thunder for a rematch of their battle at the Titan Challenge Supercard. After discussions with USWF Commissioner Grogan, I have reached the following decision. If Raven and Thunder are both still champions at the time of the supercard, then they will meet in our main event. The contest will be a best-of-three falls Titan Death Match. No one will be allowed at ringside. Neither title will be at stake. “Again, this is dependent on both men being champions on December 22. Thunder has no title defenses scheduled before then, but Raven will defend at least once, at the USWF’s year-ending supercard. So, as a backup plan, before Galacticade we will have a triple threat match between our current top three contenders: Mace, Dark Justice, and Mandrill. If Raven should lose his title before Galacticade, then the winner of that triple threat match will replace him in the main event and will fight Thunder for the GWF Heavyweight Championship.”

CORDANUS GETS HIS ANSWER AT GWF AWARDS BANQUET The GWF held its annual year-end awards banquet at Earth’s Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on December 21, 2111, the night before the Galacticade Supercard. Nearly the entire roster of active GWF wrestlers, managers, and officials attended. Also present were former GWF stars Omega, Star Warrior, Raven, Exo-King, Jack of Diamonds, the Incredible Badger, Bounty Hunter, Iron Mane, Pulsar, Quasar, Killer Queen, Soldier of Fortune, Vigilante, and others, as well as GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, USWF Commissioner Grogan, and USWF Majority Owner Magnus Colby. “Thank you all for being here,” Commissioner Morpheus said as he opened the festivities. “We have a great deal of business to conduct tonight, so I want to get right to it. First of all, I have an announcement. You will all note that not only USWF Commissioner Grogan but also Magnus Colby are here with us tonight. In years past, wrestlers were free to move back and forth between our federations; if you were, for example, suspended or exiled for a time from the GWF, you could go to the USWF to wrestle. In 2107 we broke apart our federations and took away this option. However, as we have worked closely together to combat the designs of UFSP President Cordanus, we have reached a more comfortable working arrangement with Mr. Colby. I am therefore pleased to announce that beginning in 2112, we will return to the more open exchange of talent that we had in the past. “Now, with that said, let’s move on to our achievement awards.” The commissioner then presented the following honors:
Wrestler of the Year: Thunder This was a breakthrough year for the Aethran superstar. He is the current GWF Heavyweight Champion , he held the Interplanetary Title twice during 2111, and he won more matches than any singles wrestler in the federation with a 36-20 record going into the Galacticade Supercard. Runners-up: 1. Archon (held the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship for the first time, had a terrific 35-20 record, and led the FDF to the War Games Championship); 2. Rising Sun (Won the Interplanetary Championship twice and still holds it going into Galacticade with a 29-19 record); 3. Euritar (an impressive 32-18 record and has held the Cruiserweight Belt since February).
Tag Team of the Year: TitanAttack Ursa Major and Scion Nexus win this award for the second straight year. While they were not as dominant in 2111 as in 2110, they nevertheless held the tag team belts for the first six months of the year and had an excellent 35-19 overall record. Runners-up: 1. Sam’s Commandos (Captain Dalcost and the Canadian Bomber had a 29-18 record and held both the GWF Tag and Interplanetary Tag Titles while helping the FDF to the War Games Championship); 2. Desolation Factor (Finished as the final holders of the now retired Interplanetary Tag Team Belts and tied TitanAttack for most tag team wins with a 35-18 record); 3. Twin Blood (In their shakiest year since the formation of their team, the brothers are nevertheless the current GWF Tag Team Champions with a 27-22 record).
Top Newcomer: The Ravagers Ventross and Rankor had a solid rookie year, running up a 32-30 record while fighting more tag team matches than any other team in the federation. Runners-up: 1. Overtime (The son of Quasar had a 26-25 record and was a ranked contender for the Interplanetary Title at several points during the year); 2. Assassin X (Entered the GWF in mid-year and ran up an outstanding 15-5 record).
Hall of Fame Inductions When the award presentations finished, Lord Nexus stepped up the microphone. “It is my honor to announce this year’s Hall of Fame Inductees,” Nexus stated. “We will honor two former GWF star this year.” “Our first inductee is truly one of the all-time greats in wrestling. He was a seven time Galaxian Heavyweight Champion and an eight time Interplanetary Champion. He won the Galaxy Cup Singles Tournament three times and was on four War Games Championship Teams. The fact that he was never named wrestler of the year only shows how underappreciated he was, because he was truly one of the toughest men I ever faced. He is currently in Dimension X, so he cannot be here with us tonight, but we honor him no less for that. Our first inductee is the Matador of M83” When the applause for the Matador died down, Nexus continued. “Our second inductee is also a man I fought and respected greatly. He helped define tag team wrestling as an eleven time GWF Tag Team Champion, a seven time Interplanetary Tag Team Champion, a two time Three-Man Tag Team Champion, and a three time co-winner of the tag team of the year award. He also won one War Games ring, and in addition to all of this he was a formidable singles wrestler as well. His long-time tag team partner Vigilante was inducted two years ago, so now I am pleased to welcome Soldier of Fortune to the Hall of Fame.” Soldier of Fortune rose from the audience to accept his award amid enthusiastic applause. When he sat down again, Commissioner Morpheus stepped back to the microphone. “Now, we have one more matter to address,” said the commissioner. “I would like to ask Cordanus and his friend to join me on stage.” UFSP President Cordanus stepped forward from the stage wings. With him was a huge individual, clearly a Mensan like Cordanus but towering a foot taller than his smaller companion. “All right, now,” Morpheus continued. “First, let’s review your demands. You asked for a ten year, unbreakable contract for yourself and for your large friend here, one that would prevent us from firing you under any circumstances. You also asked for the right to challenge for any title at any time, and you asked that this provision be extended to any wrestler you choose to manage. Is that correct?” “That’s the deal,” Cordanus smiled. “Such a simple thing, and you can keep wrestling alive. Now where is my contract?” “There’s just one problem,” Morpheus replied. “You have no bargaining power. You destroyed your political influence with your hypocrisy over wrestling. People all over the Galaxy are calling for your resignation as UFSP President, and if you do not resign by the end of the year the process is already underway to impeach you. I have assurances from nearly every arena we serve that they will no longer give in to any sort of political pressure from you. In fact, I have been contacted by numerous new venues that now want to come on board. In short, you are no longer a threat, and I have no reason to give in to your demands.” “What?” cried Cordanus. “I thought we had a deal. You said you’d give me my contract at Galcticade.” “No, I said I’d give you an answer at Galacticade. So here is my answer: I’ll give you a contract, you and your friend. He’s impressive enough to be worth signing you as well. But it will be a normal GWF contract. You will have no special immunity and no special rights to title shots. And if you step out of line, you’ll be unemployed in a hurry. That’s the offer. Take it or leave it.” Cordanus flushed with anger. “This is not the end of it,” he said. “I’ll sign your contract, but if you think I’m finished . . .” “Save your threats,” Morpheus interrupted. “You have no way to back them up. I’ll have the contracts for you tomorrow.” The larger Mensan pushed past Cordanus and glared down menacingly at Morpheus. “You think I can’t back up threats either, little man?” he snarled. “You made a big mistake here. You don’t want to cross me.” Suddenly a familiar howl broke out from the crowd. To everyone’s surprise, Wolf vaulted onto the stage and stood toe to toe with the gigantic Mensan. “How about you try threatening me, you big lump,” the Animan superstar barked. “I been looking for a new way to get myself pumped up. You look like just what I need. So before you try pushing anybody around, you can start with me and we’ll see just how tough you really are.” The two stared at each other for a long moment. Then Morpheus stepped between them. “I think that’s enough excitement for one night,” the commissioner said. “Cordanus, get your friend off the stage. Wolf, go sit down. You two can settle this in the ring next year—and I, for one, will look forward to seeing it. Things are looking better for the GWF in 2112 already.”

GALACTICADE XVI The GWF’s traditional year-ending Galacticade supercard took place at Earth’s Los Angeles Sports Arena on December 22, 2111 before a sellout crowd of over 80,000 spectators. Among the former GWF superstars in attendance were Pulsar, Exo-King, Jack of Diamonds, Kati, Omega, Soldier of Fortune, Vigilante, Raven, Holocaust, and Killer Queen.
Galacticade Results:
Paragon over Overtime Time: 3:50 A good opening match won by Paragon with a “Final Overture.”
Prodigy over Blade Time: 2:21 Prodigy dominated and won it with a “Cobra Grip.”
Turnbuckle Shock Match: Vyper over Warfare Time: 1:14 Quick win for Vyper with a “Vyper’s Sideshow.”
Rebel Empire over the Watchmen Time: 3:30 Nefarus pinned Painmaster after a “Scissordriver” in this battle of past and present Colonizer teams.
Titan Hardcore Match: Maelstrom over U. S. Traitor Time: 3:48 Maelstrom got the pin with a “Cygnus Slam.” After the bell, Mangus came to the ring with a heated gun and branded the Traitor with the symbol of Cygnus.
Ruins of Antilia Match: Lance At-Las over the Draconian Sheik Time: 4:34 Lance won this wild match when a wall collapsed on the Sheik. After the match, Lance gave the long-expected confirmation that he would be leaving the GWF in 2112.
Castor Chain Match: Mike Fortune over Code Enforcer Manslaughter Time: 7:48 This was a tough contest, but Fortune won it by using the chain to execute a “Hangman” on Manslaughter.
Cruiserweight Title Match: Enigma over Euritar (c) by disqualification Time: 3:30 Enigma had a clear advantage when Thantos called in Desolation Factor to cause an intentional disqualification and save the belt for Euritar. In response, Euritar shouted an obscenity at Thantos and left the ring alone.
Lepus Stun Rod Match: Archon over Bloodline Time: 1:05 Archon scored with four straight “Riot Acts” to take down Bloodline quickly.
The Ninja Assassins over Sam’s Commandos Time: 3:08 Captain Dalcost was not fully recovered from a previous injury, but he insisted on wrestling in what he and the Canadian Bomber had already announced would be their final GWF match. However, the Captain was not able to perform up to his abilities and went down to a “Double Edged Sword.”
Intermission During a break in the matches, Euritar sought out Commissioner Morpheus and, with cameras filming, handed over the cruiserweight title. “Enigma beat me tonight,” Euritar said. “I don’t deserve this belt right now, and I don’t want it if I don’t deserve it.” Morpheus issued no immediate statement on the status of the cruiserweight title.
Total Anarchy Match for Special Matches Title: Corporal Aegis over Mayhem (c) Time: 4:36 Aegis won his first GWF singles title of any kind when Mayhem stepped on a mine outside the ring.
Hydra Lumberjack Match: Malice over Max Shield Time: 9:13 This re-kindling of an old feud had plenty of great action and repeated interference before Malice finally won it with a spinebuster.
Scorpi King of the Ring Match: Mandrill over Wraith Time: 5:20 This match was much closer than expected, but Mandrill managed to squeak out a tough win.
Interplanetary Title Match: Rising Sun (c) over Mace Time: 2:46 Rising Sun easily retained the championship by pinning Mace with a deathjump.
The Ravagers over Desolation Factor Time: 4:39 The Ravagers ended a fine rookie year with a “Ravager Sack” on Ruin.
Barbed Wire Cage Match: Vengeance over Spike Time: 3:51 Both men were bloodied and torn open when Vengeance scored the win.
Falls Count Anywhere Match: Wolf over Genocide Time: 3:12 Complete domination by Wolf, who won it with a “Savage Face Claw” in the ring.
Four Weapons of Destruction Match: Pegasus over Terminus Time: 5:37 Pegasus scored yet another supercard win over the wrestler who severely injured him and forced him to abandon the Galaxian Heavyweight Title in 2110, but this one was a real battle as both men were badly beaten by the end.
GWF Tag Team Title Match: TitanAttack over Twin Blood (c) Time: 4:31 This matchup between perhaps the two best teams in the federation ended when Scion Nexus covered Dreggs and Sleeze came in to make a save. Nexus fought off Sleeze, ran the twin brothers’ heads together, and then again covered Dreggs to win the belts and give TitanAttack their second GWF tag team title reign.
Galaxian Heavyweight Title Match: Thunder (c) over Dark Justice Time: 2:32 This one was all Thunder as he hammered Dark Justice all over the ring and won it with a moonsault.
Galacticade Summary: A good card, with most of the matches competitive. Other than Euritar's reaction to his DQ win and the branding of U. S. Traitor, the event lacked the usual drama of a year-ending card. Like Lance-At-Las, U. S., Traitor announced after the card that he would leave the GWF in 2112.

GALAXY CUP 2112The GWF’s annual Galaxy Cup festivities kicked off the 2112 year on January 18-23. The Galaxy Cup event includes tournaments for singles and tag team wrestlers as well as the year-opening press conferences for each of the federation’s teams. Commissioner Morpheus began the press conferences in the Deimos Media Center on the morning of January 18. “I want to welcome everyone back from the holiday break,” Morpheus began. “With the threat of Cordanus now behind us, We are looking forward to a great year in 2112. I have just a few announcements, and then we can get started with the team press conferences that will be held over the next two days. “First, as everyone saw at Galacticade in December, Euritar has chosen to abandon the cruiserweight title. As it happens, I was concerned about this belt anyway, as it did not seem to be generating much interest. Therefore, for now we will leave the cruiserweight title vacant. I want some time to consider the matter further before we decide whether to fill the title or retire it. “I also want to say farewell to several of our stars who will not be rejoining us. I have received word that Spike, Vengeance, Mayhem, Lance At-Las, Captain Dalcost, the Canadian Bomber, Painmaster, Tocsin, Meteor, Mace, and Grunge will all be leaving us. Some of them may show up at press conferences to make statements, but in any case we wish them all well. “Finally, I want to confirm that former UFSP President Cordanus and his friend Mensar have indeed signed GWF contracts. These are standard contracts that offer no special privileges or immunities. We also have a number of other new wrestlers coming in, but I’m sure you will meet them at the team press conferences. “I think that’s it for me today. Enjoy the press conferences. We’ll see you at the tournaments.” MANGUS FORMS NEW GROUPThe first of the team press conferences began with Mangus taking the stage. With him was Maelstrom, his accomplice in the beating and humiliation of U. S. Traitor at the end of 2111. “We are done dealing with weak, useless humans,” Mangus began. “I am forming a new supergroup, one that will dominate the GWF and its human weaklings. We will call ourselves the Alien Alliance. Our first member, of course, is Maelstrom, who will now become a star singles wrestler. For a tag team, I have a real surprise. Come on out, my friends.” To the surprise of the media, Desolation Factor walked out onto the stage. “This is the most powerful tag team in wrestling history,” Mangus gloated. “Thantos did not appreciate them, as being human he was not capable of understanding the depth of their talent. Now they are with me, and I will take them to new heights. “Our final member is a newcomer from Cygnus. He will quickly make his mark as a future champion. Welcome Sekada to the GWF!” A huge individual strode out onto the stage. He was clearly of the same race as Mangus and Maelstrom, but he seemed taller and more muscular than either of them. If his size was an indication of his ability, Mangus had indeed created a formidable team for 2112. (Note: Sekada can be found in the Krazy Kards Unleaded One card set; His profile and picture can be seen here: www.krazykards.com/profile_17.php)LORELEI BRINGS IN A NEW TEAMLorelei, who had taken a break from the GWF in late 2111, began her press conference alone on stage. “As you all know, at the end of last year I went out searching for new allies in my fight against the Brymstone team,” she began. “Well, I found them. These men are able and willing to meet Skull and his friends on their own level. Come on out, men.” Three large humans stepped out onto the stage. Two of them looked a great deal alike, perhaps enough to be brothers. Their hair was wild and tangled, and they both looked as if they had recently walked out of a bar fight. The third man was bald and wore a long black trenchcoat. He too looked like he was a born brawler. “I present to you Brock and Dillon Mason and Keth Vale,” Lorelei declared. “All three of them are from Earth. They have agreed to come here to help me drive out the Brymstonians. With them on board, I will finally have my revenge on Blazing Skull.” (Note: Like Sekada, Brock and Dliion Mason and Keth Vale can be found in the Krazy Kards Unleaded One Set. Links to their pictures and bios are as follows:Brock Mason: www.krazykards.com/profile_36.phpDillon Mason: www.krazykards.com/profile_35.phpKeth Vale: www.krazykards.com/profile_25.php ) DOOMSAYER BUILDS HIS POWERDoomsayer wore a very satisfied look as he stepped out onto the stage with Genocide, Monad, and Nth Degree. “As you can see, this year Genocide has decided to join us from the beginning,” he said. “Yeah, for one more year,” the monster from Omicron growled. “That’s how long you got to separate me from Buck Steele. If it ain’t done a year from now, you’re gonna be sorry.” “Oh, it will be done,” Doomsayer said. “My research is going splendidly. But our purpose today is to introduce our two new teams members. The first will be a familiar face, at least insofar as you can see him after his trip through the transrevolver.” A figure began to materialize beside Doomsayer. As he faded into view, the media soon recognized Wraith. But the former Colonizer and Genesis star looked a bit different. He seemed almost transparent now, and seemed much more capable of fading into invisibility. “As you can see, the transrevolver has enhanced the abilities Wraith already had,” Doomsayer said. “He will now be able to get his revenge on Mandrill, thanks to me. And we have one more new team member. Come on out, Murdock!” A large individual stepped out onto the stage. He wore a long cloak, had greenish-grey skin, and on his head grew a number of stubs or horns. “This will interest Aegis, I think,” the newcomer stated. “I am from Centra. In fact, I am the rightful ruler of Centra and of all of Dimension Y. I have been in hibernation for a number of years, and I am now here to gather strength in order to assert my claim over my people. I will expect all of your visitors from Dimension Y to bow to me. If not, then they will feel my power.” Doomsayer smiled broadly as he stepped forward again. “This is the strongest team I have ever had,” he stated. “We will be unstoppable. Our first move will be to crush Krakan and his pathetic band, but anyone who gets in our way feel our strength." THANTOS’ STUNNING NEW ADDITIONThantos entered the Media Center with Bloodline and Terminus. “This is a new day for us,” he said. “As you all saw earlier, Desolation Factor has deserted our team. We don’t need them. As you can see, Terminus and Bloodline are still here. Euritar has been delayed in arriving, but we expect him to be here by tomorrow’s tournament. And we have two more additions. First, we welcome back an old friend. Paragon is now a member of Team Thantos.” Paragon walked out onto the stage and shook hands with his new teammates. “Now I take real pleasure in introducing our final member. He is one of the greatest new talents you will ever see, and this year he will form a tag team called “Next Generation” with Bloodline. Welcome to the GWF my son, Encubus!” The media was shocked as a young man who looked much like Thantos stepped out onto the stage. Thantos’ announcement had stunned everyone: the son of Thantos and the son of Omega forming a tag team was one of the most important stories to occur in the GWF in years. Only time could tell if the two might be as successful as had been their fathers. VENGEANCE STEPS ASIDEVengeance led the Aethran team into the Media Center for this press conference. With him were Thunder, Malice, Overkill, and Brute. Mayhem was nowhere in sight. “I am pleased to announce that, as expected, I have been named the new Aethran minister of war,” Vengeance stated. “I will therefore be returning to Aethra to assume my duties there. The men you see onstage here will represent Aethra in the GWF this year. I have reassigned Mayhem to other duties.” Before Vengeance could continue, he was interrupted by Spike’s appearance at the edge of the stage. “Don’t get comfortable in your new post,” Spike growled. “I’m going back to Aethra, too—to keep on looking for evidence to prove you murdered Massacre. I ain’t gonna rest until I put you away.” “Dream on,” Vengeance smiled. “Even if I were responsible, I wouldn’t leave evidence behind. But we’re not here to debate that today. We are here to declare the glorious victory of the Gladiators over yet another version of W. A. R.” Once again Vengeance was interrupted by an offstage voice. “Victory? You won nothing. We’re still here.” Out of the stage wings strode Vyper, Dreggs, Sleeze, and Johnny Rocket. “Spike is leaving, and Wolf is going his own way, but you did not beat us,” Rocket announced. “Vyper owned Vengeance last year, so he's happy to take on Thunder. And Twin Blood is still the best team in the GWF. Since Spike and Wolf are leaving us, we’ll go back to calling ourselves the Rocket Men. But no matter what we call ourselves, we’re still going to make sure that your men have a very bad year in 2112.” A LEGEND RETURNS AT FDF PRESS CONFERENCECommander Sam took the microphone first at the Federation Defense Fighters Press Conference. On stage with him were Enigma, Archon, and Manslaughter. “Well, you’ve heard the press conferences from Mangus and Thantos,” Sam began. "We seem to have a lot of work to do. But that’s okay, because I’m brought in some help. We’re making a few changes. “First of all, regarding the FDF, we will be focusing our energy on Mangus’ new team. Archon is going to lead the charge against Maelstrom. For their new man, Sekada, I have made arrangements for a major star to join us. Welcome Corporal Aegis as a full-time member of the FDF!” "Aegis walked out onto the stage and shook hands with Archon and Sam. “And for Desolation Factor, I have another surprise. I’ve recruited these two men from Earth, and they are ready to do battle. Welcome American Guy and U. S. Male, known together as Stars and Stripes.” Sam’s new tag team joined their teammates on stage. “Now, I’m sure you are wondering where that leaves Engima and Manslaughter,” Sam continued. “Well, someone has to take on Thantos and his men, and I have the rightman for the job. I now turn this press conference over to Star Warrior.” To the surprise of the press corps, Star Warrior walked out onto the stage. Strangely, he was wearing the Avenging Warrior mask that no one had seen since 2086. “Sam and I had talked about my return for several weeks now,” Star Warrior said. “But when I saw Bloodline teaming up with the son of Thantos, I knew that coming back as I had been would not be enough. I am reforming the Defenders of the Galaxy, but this time we are doing it Avenging Warrior style—no holds barred, no quarter given. Paragon is going to be sorry he got involved when Manslaughter is done with him. And as for Terminus, I have someone who really wants to take him down. Welcome back to the Defenders of the Galaxy, Pegasus!” Pegasus, “The Great One,” stepped out onto the stage and up to the microphone. “Surprised?” he said. “Hey, I’ve always respected Star Warrior. And when he offered me first shot at Terminus, I couldn’t resist. It’s gonna be a war.” “And for Bloodline and Encubus, I have a real surprise,” Star Warrior continued as he took back the microphone. “Thantos said that he was expecting Euritar to arrive tomorrow. Well, Euritar is here, but he’s with us, and he and Enigma are going to team us as “Warp Speed” to keep “Next Generation” under control.” Euritar walked out onto the stage and shook hands with his teammates, though the greeting between him and Manslaughter seemed restrained. “I’m glad to be here,” Euritar said. “Thantos never appreciated me, and when he got me dq’d against Enigma at Galacticade, that was the end. Let him have his pet boy Bloodline. I’m where I can be appreciated, on the quickest team in GWF history. Nobody is going to stop us now.” Other Notes From Press Conferences:Reynard B. Guile announced that the Draconian Sheik would join his “Payback” team, along with Prodigy, Skinhead, and the Ninja Assassins. With Aegis joining the FDF, Max Shield took back the name Genesis for his team. He and the Ravagers will be managed by Vertigo, who returns to the GWF. Krakan’s Deadly Milita will be joined by Trench, who will reform the SWAT Team with Militia member Warfare. The Fighting Titans, Brymstone Burning, and the Colonizers of Scorpi announced no changes to their rosters. Wolf, Mensar, Cordanus, Splatter, The Clones, Animan Invasion, Mutant, Grovel, Soulwatcher, and Sir Ender will compete as independents to begin 2112.

2112 GALAXY CUP TOURNAMENTS The Galaxy Cup has signaled the opening of each GWF year since 2087. The event includes two tournaments, one each for singles wrestlers and tag teams, the final three rounds of both being fought under no disqualification rules. All active wrestlers in the federation compete in the singles tournament. The winners of the tournaments are granted automatic title shots at the Galaxian Heavyweight and GWF Tag Team Championships at Galactic War, the first regular supercard of the year.

Genocide over Mandrill Time: 1:48 After the many great battles these two have had, this one was surprisingly easy as Genocide hit the “Corpus Genocide” to earn his first trip to the finals.
Singles Tournament Final: Genocide over Thunder Time: 4:14 Thunder’s attempts to become just the fourth reigning Galaxian Champion to win the Galaxy Cup (Chaos did it twice, Vengeance once) fell just short as Genocide, fighting in spite of an injury he suffered against Prodigy in the quarter-finals, blasted the champion with a “Power Bomb Plus” to score his first Galaxy Cup Championship ever.
Tag Team Tournament Round One: Blacklist over M & M (Brock and Dillon Mason); Blade and Overtime over Superiority Complex, Warp Speed (Euritar and Enigma) over Animan Invasion, Mike Fortune and Dark Justice over Stars and Stripes, the SWAT Team over Mutant and Splatter; Eleven teams received byes.

Tag Team Tournament Quarter-finals: Blacklist over the Gladiators Time: 2:19 Mensar used the “Wrecking Machine” on Malice for the win. For the third straight round, Cordanus did not enter the match, leaving the entire fight to Mensar.
The Ravagers over Twin Blood Time: 1:54 Ravager Sack on Dreggs
Mike Fortune and Dark Justice over the Clones Time: 1:04 Dark Justice knocked out the Mad Jester Clone with a “Rod of Justice.”
SWAT Team over Desolation Factor Time: 5:40 The newly re-formed SWAT Team continued its impressive run as Trench knocked out Rack with a “Metal Ramrod.”
Tag Team Tournament Semi-Finals: The Ravagers over Blacklist Time: 1:02 Being a one-man tag team finally caught up with Mensar as Ventross pinned him with a shoulder spear. The Ravagers thus earned their second trip to the Galaxy Cup finals in their two years in the GWF.
Mike Fortune and Dark Justice over the SWAT Team Time: 2:09 In this match between four members of Krakan’s Deadly Militia, Fortune and Justice got the win over their teammates when Justice hit the “Shock Probation” on Warfare.
Tag Team Tournament Tag Team Tournament Final: Mike Fortune and Dark Justice over the Ravagers Time: 5:35 For the third straight year, the tag team tournament did not go to an established or regular tag team (Painmaster and Wraith won in 2110, Blazing Skull and Anarchy in 2111). This one was a very tough match which could have gone either way until Dark Justice hit the “Shock Probation”on Ventross. Dark Justice and Mike Fortune both earned their first Galaxy Cup win, while the Ravagers cam in second for the second consecutive year.

GALACTIC WAR 2112
The first regular supercard of the GWF year is Galactic War, which has been held annually since 2090, first at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade and since 2100 at Jupiter’s huge Io Coliseum. This year’s event took place before a crowd of 101, 356. Each year the winners of the Galaxy Cup singles and tag team tournaments are granted automatic title shots in the main events at Galactic War. This year singles tournament winner Genocide challenged Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Thunder, who was to compete despite an injury he had suffered in a non-title match against Vyper five days earlier. Tag Team Tournament winners Dark Justice and Mike Fortune were set to fight GWF Tag Team Champions TitanAttack. Like Thunder, Dark Justice went into the supercard nursing a minor injury.
GALACTIC WAR 21112 RESULTS
Three-Man Tag Team Match Archon and Stars & Stripes defeated Assassin X and the SWAT Team Time: 6:21 The old rivalry between Commander Sam and Krakan surfaced again as the teams they manage faced off to start the card. Archon won a good back-and-forth match with a “Sleeper Clamp” on Assassin X.
Between matches, Vyper was interviewed backstage by Thranduil Glorfin. “I never have liked Anarchy,” Vyper announced. “My main focus now is on Thunder, but Lorelai asked me to take on that Brymstone garbage for her tonight, so that’s what I’ll do. I never get enough of beating on him anyway.”
Sekada over Skinhead Time: 3:28 The newcomer from Cygnus continued his impressive first year by pinning Skinhead with a “Dreadnaught” in a good match.
Terminus over Prodigy by Disqualification Time: 4:59 After Terminus hit the “Hammerlock Slam,” Skinhead ran to the ring and tried to save his teammate, causing the disqualification.
Rebel Empire over the Ninja Assassins Time: 0:46 As the bell rang, Vendetta knocked Daemon out of the ring while Nefarus stunned Hydra and then hammered him with a “Scissordriver.” The contest was over before it could even really begin, giving Reynard B. Guile’s team its third loss in as many matches on the card.
After the match, cameras caught a distraught Guile lecturing his men on their failures backstage. Suddenly Terminus marched onto the scene, picked Guile up by the neck, and shoved the manager into a wall. Guile struggled helplessly against the main he had brought into the GWF in 2103 and who had quickly betrayed him.
“Look, little man,” the Aran star said. “I have better things to worry about than you. But the next time I’m fighting one of your men and another one gets involved, you’ll be the one to pay for it. Keep your team under control. You do not want a problem with me.”
Terminus then dropped Guile and walked away. Some observers noted that Prodigy, Skinhead, and the Ninjas made no move to defend their manager.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Maelstrom over Blade Time: 2:04 Maelstrom, still enjoying his new singles career, made short work of Blade, pinning him after a “Brand of Cygnus.”
Ruins of Antilia Match Anarchy over Vyper Time: 3:03 Vyper dominated the match for the first two minutes while it remained in the ring, but once the contest spilled out into the artificial environment, Anarchy took over and got the win when a wall collapsed on his opponent.
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Desolation Factor over the Ravagers Time: 4:22 Desolation Factor controlled the action most of the way, finally getting the win when Vendross went down to a “Racked and Ruined.”
Falls Count Anywhere Match Wraith over Mandrill Time: 2:25 The nearly invisible Wraith pulled a major upset over his former leader, scoring the win with a “Phantom Jackhammer” on the arena floor.
Interplanetary Championship Match Corporal Aegis over Rising Sun (c) Time: 4:07 Aegis captured the Interplanetary Belt in a tough match, ending Rising Sun’s four month title reign. The contest went back and forth until Rising Sun missed a turnbuckle charge and Aegis rolled him up for the pin. Aegis now hold both the Interplanetary Title and the Special Matches Belt.
Warp Speed over Next Generation by disqualifaction Time: 4:51 Enigma and Euritar continued their impressive run as a new tag team, scoring their fifth win in six contests. Bloodline started the match for his team and was decimated for over three minutes until he finally made the tag. Encubus made a brief comeback, but Euritar soon hit the “Head s Will Roll” and Bloodline, still weak and groggy, caused the disqualification on the pin save.
Backstage between matches, a surprisingly calm Mandrill commented on his loss to Wraith. “We’ll take care of this,” the prime colonizer growled. “Going through the transrevolver may have improved Wraith more than we thought. But I have many ways to deal with this situation. And Doomsayer won’t like any of them.”
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Paragon over Pegasus Time: 11:09 In another classic between these long-time rivals, Pegasus finally fell out of the ring after a missed turnbuckle charge and was unable to climb back in. Both men were helped from the ring after the contest.
Castor Chain Match Mensar over Code Enforcer Manslaughter Time: :51 A week earlier Manslaughter had pinned Mensar in a regular match, but this time the newcomer made short work of his opponent, taking advantage of a missed deathjump to score with the “Wrecking Crew” finisher.
Twin Blood over Malice and Overkill by DQ with Massif as the referee Time: 3:45 When Dreggs fell outside the ring, Malice tried to go to the floor after him. Massif tried to restrain the gladiator, and a shoving match broke out in which Massif finally disqualified the Aethrans and then blasted Malice with a “Volcanic Drop.”
Circinus Cell Match Wolf over Murdock Time: 5:45 The newcomer Murdock has been very impressive in 2112, but Wolf dominated this match from the beginning, finally winning it with a “Howling Moonsault.”
Backstage, Malice, Overkill, and Brute were livid at the outcome of their match. "If Massif wants to be a referee, then make him act like one," Malice snapped. "If he wants to get physical with me, I'm ready any time. I've beat tougher guys, especially guys who weren't old and out of shape. If that big moron gets in my way again, I'll make him regret it no matter what the commissioner or anyone else says."
Tag Team Championship Match TitanAttack (c) over Dark Justice and Mike Fortune Time: 5:19 Krakan’s makeshift tag team, who had stunned the federation by winning the Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament, put up a surprisingly good fight, especially considering Dark Justice’s injury. In the end, though, Ursa Major rolled up Dark Justice with a “Shotgun Cradle” to retain the belts after both of the challengers had been beaten badly.
Galaxian Heavyweight Championship Match Thunder over Genocide Time: 2:25 Thunder came into the match with an injury, but his disadvantage seemed to provide him with the sense of urgency he needed. The huge challenger never got any offense going as Thunder battered him inside and outside the ring before hitting the “Tempest” to score the win and retain his title.

MAELSTROM OUT AFTER BRAWL WITH FDF A violent brawl between the FDF and the Alien Alliance at the Dragon’s Lair on March 29 ended with Maelstrom facing several months of inactivity.
The melee occurred after Archon had defeated Maelstrom in a tough match. The two wrestlers continued to fight after the bell and were soon joined by Stars and Stripes and by Desolation Factor. The FDF gained the advantage when Maelstrom went down and could no longer defend himself. Doctors later determined that the Cygnus wrestler had suffered a torn muscle in his ankle and a broken right arm. He is expected to be out of action until late July.
After the card, Commissioner Morpheus spoke to the media. “I’m sorry that Maelstrom will miss so much ring time,” Morpheus said. “I put a lot of the blame for this on Commander Sam. I’ve been watching him go after Cygnus wrestlers for as long as I can remember, and he passes on his hatred to his men. But it is the wrestlers who inflicted the injury, so that’s who will pay the price. Archon and Stars and Stripes are suspended until the end of April, starting immediately.”
With War Games rosters for 2112 due to be announced on April 27, observers had to wonder how Maelstrom’s injury would impact the Games. No statement was made by Mangus regarding his team’s plans.

COSMIC MAYHEM 2112 Cosmic Mayhem is the third oldest of the GWF supercards. The event began in 2092 and takes place annually at the huge Polaris Interstellar Stadium. Cosmic Mayhem 2112 was held on April 16 with well over 100,000 fans in attendance.
The lineup for this year’s card was heavily impacted by injuries and suspensions. The scheduled GWF Tag Team Title Match between Rebel Empire and Twin Blood was cancelled when Nefarus suffered two cracked ribs in a contest against TitanAttack on April 10. Euritar was injured in a match with Bloodline on the same evening. TitanAttack and Archon missed the card due to suspensions, while Maelstrom was also out of action due to an injury.
Opening Contest Draconian Sheik over Blade Time: 5:22 In a good opening match, Blade put in an excellent performance and controlled most of the contest but suffered from repeated interference and distractions by Reynard B. Guile and eventually submitted to the “Draconian Backbreaker.”
Ninja Assassins over the SWAT Team Time: 2:03 An easy win for the Ninjas as Hydrax pinned Warfare with a “Death Point Strike.”
Turnbuckle Shock Match Mike Fortune over Pegasus Time: 4:01 Fortune caught Pegasus with a “Hangman” after a missed deathjump.
Castor Chain Match Vyper over Sekada Time: 3:47 Vyper was down early but came back to put away the big rookie from Cygnus with a “Leviathan.”
Ruins of Antilia Match Dark Justice over Wraith Time: 5:14 After Mike Fortune and Assassin X interfered, Dark Justice pinned Wraith with a “Rod of Justice” in the ring.
Cosmic Cage Match Blazing Skull over Keth Vale Time: 2:35 In his first match after returning from a suspension, Skull caught Vale in the “Burning Touch” and held on for nearly a minute before Vale could not continue.
Between matches, an angry Wraith was interviewed in the backstage area. “Where were my teammates when Krakan’s men were jumping me out there?” he stormed. “Where was Monad? Where was Nth Degree, or Murdok or Genocide? We’d better start sticking together better, or we’re going to get ourselves hurt. You need backup around here. If our team doesn’t understand that, I’ll have to take things in hand and show them what I’m talking about.”
Desolation Factor over The Ravagers with Billy Jo Boxer as the referee Time: 6:12 The huge team from Dimension X completely dominated Ventross, who was never able to tag Rankor into the match before finally going down to a “Racked and Ruined.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match Prodigy over Enigma Time: 0:36 Prodigy started the match by connecting with a "Prodigy Screwdriver" and quickly caught Enigma with the “Perfect Singles Finisher” for a very quick win.
Total Anarchy Match Anarchy over Max Shield Time: 4:09 Anarchy was in control throughout and won it after suplexing Shield onto a seat in the audience.
Between matches, Manslaughter spoke with GWF interviewer Thranduil Glorfin about his upcoming Galaxian Heavyweight Title Match. “I beat Thunder once this year in a non-title match,” the big man said. “He knows I can take him. But he’s a tough wrestler, too. This is going to be a great fight, but I plan on walking out of here with gold around my waist tonight.”
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Paragon over Mensar Time: 7:16 Paragon, who has won more King of the Ring matches than anyone in GWF history, triumphed again by totally dominating Mensar.
Twin Blood over Next Generation by Disqualification with Massif as referee Time: 10:54 Next Generation was in control throughout most of this match, battering both twins and nearly pounding Dreggs unconscious. However, Twin Blood refused to quit, and Encubus’ frustration eventually led him to a shoving match with Massif. The referee knocked Thantos’ son out with a “Volcanic Drop” and awarded the match to the bloodied and beaten Twin Blood.
Barbed Wire Cage Match Wolf over Murdok Time: 4:36 Wolf emerged from the cage with barely a scratch as he manhandled Murdok and won with a “Savage Face Claw.”
Between matches, Thantos raged about Next Generation’s loss backstage. “Massif is supposed to be a referee, not a wrestler. So why is he knocking my son out?” the manager snapped. “He does this too often. He should not be the one deciding the matches. He has no business attacking a wrestler. He slows the matches down with getting involved all the time, when what he should do is just stay out of the way. But he likes the spotlight too much for that. I want Morpheus to do something about this. My men were robbed tonight.”
Interplanetary Title Match Terminus over Corporal Aegis (c) Time: 3:13 Terminus was too much for the defending champion on this night as he pinned Aegis with a “Hammerlock Slam” in just over three minutes. Terminus thus becomes the Interplanetary Champion for an impressive seventh time, winning the belt again on the same supercard at which he lost it one year earlier.
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Predator and Wrath over Malice and Overkill Time: 5:57 The Gladiators had won a previous matchup between these teams two weeks earlier, but this one belonged completely to the visitors from the USWF as Malice was pounded down until Wrath pinned him with a “Reprisal.”
Falls Count Anywhere Match Genocide over Mandrill Time: 2:22 Genocide made short work of Mandrill in this match, scoring the pin with the “Corpus Genocide.” After the bell, Genocide continued his assault, and his Transrevolver teammate Wraith soon appeared in the ring with him. However, instead of helping the monster attack Mandrill, Wraith blasted Genocide from behind and helped his former Colonizer leader to safety.
Galaxian Heavyweight Championship Match Thunder (c) over Code Enforcer Manslaughter Time: 4:44 The main event was a good contest, but Thunder scored the win with a “Tempest” to retain his title.
COSMIC MAYHEM WRAP-UP After the card, even Twin Blood seemed unhappy with the way their match against Next Generation ended. “Encubus was out of line for pushing Massif,” Dreggs said, “ but we didn’t want to win it that way. The fight should be between the wrestlers. I hate to agree with Thantos, but Massif gets involved like that too often.”
Massif responded to the criticism calmly. “I made a lot of mistakes in the past, but tonight I just did my job. If a wrestler puts his hands on a referee, he should pay for it. If anyone has a problem with the way I work the matches, he should take it up with the commissioner.”
Wraith’s actions in attacking Genocide provoked an angry reaction from Doomsayer. “I put that freak through the transrevolver, and this is how be pays me back? He goes and helps the big ape that cast him aside last year? He will pay for this. No one walks away from my team. He’ll wish he’d never heard of the GWF by the time Genocide is done with him.”

WAR GAMES ROSTERS ANNOUNCED AT PRESS CONFERENCEThe GWF held its annual War Games Press Conference on April 27, 2112 in the Deimos Intergalactic Arena Media Center. Long-time GWF commentator Thranduil Glorfin served as master of ceremonies. Seated on either side of Thranduil on the Media Center stage were GWF Commissioner Morpheus and Head Referee Massif. Also appearing on stage were team representatives Commander Sam, Johnny Rocket, Avenging Warrior, Vertigo, Lord Nexus, Nefarus, Mangus, Krakan, Thantos, Reynard B. Guile, Cordanus, and Brute. Thranduil Glorfin: Good day, everyone. Thank you for joining us for our annual War Games Press Conference. Before we allow the team representatives to announce their rosters, Commissioner Morpheus will review the rules of the competition. Morpheus: Thank you, Thranduil, and welcome everyone. The scoring system will be the same as always: one point for any win by pinfall or submission, one point for a win of any kind over a designated feud opponent, two additional points for winning the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship or the GWF tag team titles or for any defense of those titles—whether by victory or by disqualification or countout, as long as the champion keeps the title—, one additional point for winning or for a defense of any other title, and one extra point for winning one of our three most dangerous matches: the torture chamber, barbed wire cage, or four weapons of destruction. Multi-wrestler elimination matches will be worth four points plus two additional points for each surviving wrestler. For the past two years, we have been forced to change our traditional way of determining a winner, setting a specific end date for the competition instead of a point total goal. This change was necessary because so many cards were being cancelled due to Cordanus’ threats that we had no idea of how many points could be scored or how many cards held. Now that the situation with Cordanus is resolved, ( at this point Morpheus shot a withering glare at Cordanus as he spoke) we will go back to our traditional format: whichever team reaches two hundred points first will be the winner. Thranduil Glorfin: Thank you, commissioner. Before we begin to present the team rosters, I want to remind all of the representatives here that we expect a certain level of decorum and decency. I also want to note that Massif is here to make sure our expectations are met. Now, without further delay, let’s hear from Nefarus for the Colonizers. Nefarus: The Colonizers of Scorpi welcome back to the team one of our former members, Wraith. You all know that we dismissed Wraith from the team last year, but his recent actions at the Cosmic Mayhem supercard have earned him another opportunity. And we have also arranged with Maleph for Anarchy to join our roster for the War Games. Thranduil Glorfin: Thank you, Nefarus. Next up is Vertigo. Vertigo: To combat the Colonizers, the Genesis team will of course continue with Max Shield and the Ravagers. And, because we had heard about the Colonizers’ arrangement with Anarchy, we have reached agreement with Lorelai to have two of her new men, Dillon and Brock Mason, join us for the War Games. Lorelai will continue to manage the Mason brothers. Thranduil Glorfin: Interesting. Okay, moving along, Lord Nexus is next. Lord Nexus: The Titans’ roster is unchanged at this time: Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, and TitanAttack. We may consider some moves later in the Games, but we’re standing pat for now. Invincible Krakan: Fool. Then again, who’d want to join you? Morpheus: Krakan, I should remind you that you were thrown out of this event last year. It can happen again if you don’t watch yourself. Thranduil Glorfin: Krakan, it’s your turn to announce your roster. Krakan: Good. My Deadly Militia is the best team in the federation already, so I need no changes. Dark Justice, Mike Fortune, Assassin X, and the SWAT Team will crush Nexus’ whimps on our way to winning the Games. Johnny Rocket: Right, because your teams are always so successful. You’ve been involved in every War Games since 2091. How many rings do you have? Krakan: Two. And how many do you have, you loudmouthed punk? ( Rocket, who has won only one War Games ring, hesitated to answer, but Avenging Warrior jumped into the conversation.) Avenging Warrior: I don’t know about Rocket, but I have five. And I’ll back up what he says about you any day. Morpheus: Enough! Thranduil, move it along. Who’s next? Thranduil Glorfin: Mangus. Mangus: After the defection of Wraith to the Colonizers, Doomsayer has decided to leave the federation temporarily. He asked me to announce that he will return no later than the beginning of 2113 with a major announcement regarding the Transrevolver. And because he has gone, he has loaned my Alien Alliance team the services of Genocide and Murdok. They will join Sekada and Desolation Factor, and when Maelstrom has healed from the injures he suffered in the cowardly attack by the FDF, he will join us as well. Commander Sam: Cowardly? Your men started that fight. Maelstrom got what he deserved. Thranduil Glorfin: Alright, let’s keep it moving. Thantos, I think you’re next. Thantos: Team Thantos has the new Interplanetary Champion Terminus, the best young tag team in the GWF in Next Generation, and of course Paragon. And we have arranged with Maleph for Blazing Skull to join our team for the War Games. Lord Nexus: Thantos, I thought you were above that. You want a psychopath like Skull on your team? Avenging Warrior: Nexus, you’re talking to the guy who brought Bishop Hell into the federation. He has no problem associating with psychopaths. Thantos: So says my former partner, now hiding behind a mask. Morpheus: Move on. Thranduil Glorfin: Guile, you’re next. Reynard B. Guile: I already have a great team. Payback will continue to include Prodigy, Skinhead, the Sheik, and the Ninja Assassins. We need don’t need any changes. Thranduil Glorfin: Good. Warrior, go ahead. Avenging Warrior: The Avenging Warriors will keep our roster of Manslaughter, Pegasus, Enigma, and Euritar. And Lorelai has agreed to lend us the services of Keth Vale to go against Blazing Skull. Thranduil Glorfin: Sam? Commander Sam: We will still have our usual roster of Archon, Corporal Aegis, and Stars and Stripes. And I am also bringing in a new wrestler from earth. His name is Chad Hillsman, he’s from my home country, and he will be here for the beginning of the War Games. Mangus: Another weak human for us to crush. Commander Sam: That’s what Maelstrom thought. Look what happened to him. [ Note: Chad Hillsman is a creation of Kevin Knipe and Krazy Kards. You can see the card here: www.krazykards.com/profile_se5.php ] Thranduil Glorfin: Brute, you’re next. Brute: I ain’t much for making announcements, but since Vengeance isn’t with us right now, I guess it’s up to me. Aethrans don’t really need any help. But since we only got three men right now—Thunder, Malice, and Overkill—Cordanus asked us to take Mensar onto our team for the War Games. Avenging Warrior: I wondered why that fool was here and who was low enough to ally with him. It figures it would be the Aethrans. Thranduil Glorfin: Rocket, you have the last announcement. Get us through this. Johnny Rocket: First, I want to everyone to notice how well behaved I’ve been at this year’s press conference. I hardly interrupted Thranduil the loser at all, no matter how poorly he does my old job. Morpheus: Yes, you’ve been an angel. Now get on with it before I have Massif twist your scrawny neck. Rocket: Right. Of course, we have Twin Blood and Vyper. And since Wolf didn’t have a team, he has agreed to come back and join us again this year. I’m sure he’ll be happy to hear that Mensar has joined our main opponents, the Aethrans. Thranduil Glorfin: Okay, that’s everyone, and I’m going to end this before anyone else has something clever to say. The tournaments to crown the War Games singles and tag team champions will be held on May 11 and 13. We’ll see you all then.
