RISING SUN TAKES IP TITLE FROM TERMINUS Rising Sun captured the Interplanetary Title for the third time in his career by defeating Terminus at the Luna Auditorium of Earth on May 16.
Terminus started the match well, but Rising Sun battled back and took control at around the two minute mark. Thantos and Erebus both attempted to interfere on behalf of their teammate Terminus at various points, but the referee allowed the match to continue. The challenger fought through all of the interference and finally hit the “Sunset Spectacular” to score the win.
“I’m very happy to have the belt again,” stated Rising Sun, who began the year as Interplanetary Champion but lost the belt in February. “But I have a message for Thunder: don’t think you’re through with me. You may have the GWF Heavyweight title now, but I beat you for this belt last year, and I can beat you for the one you have now, too. It won’t be long before you see me again.”
Terminus’ reign lasted for only one month and included two successful title defenses.
COMMISSIONER REINSTATES CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE GWF Commissioner Morpheus called a press conference on May 20 to announce the reinstatement of the federation’s Cruiserweight Championship. The title has been vacant since it was abandoned by Euritar in December 2111.
“After a great deal of thought, I have decided to bring back the Cruiserweight Title,” Morpheus announced. “I admit that I took my time in doing so, as I was very concerned that too few wrestlers were interested in competing for the belt. However, after some consideration I have determined that the problem is not so much a lack of interest as a lack of eligible wrestlers. I am therefore going to make a change regarding the belt.
“The previous weight limit for Cruiserweight Title contenders was 240 pounds. I am hereby raising that weight limit to 250 pounds. I am also considering a name change for the title to reflect this adjustment, but so far I have not found any new designation I am satisfied with.
“Over the next few weeks we will hold a tournament to fill the title. I hope to be able to have a title match for the belt at the Deep Space Showcase next month, but we will see how that goes. I hope that the change in weight limit will spark some greater interest in this belt and lead to greater competition.”
TWIN BLOOD RECAPTURES TAG TEAM GOLD Twin Blood won the GWF Tag Team Championships by defeating Rebel Empire at the Fire Horse Forum of Earth on May 21.
Rebel Empire had avoided defending the titles for several weeks due to an injury to Nefarus. Although Nefarus was still not fully healed, Commissioner Morpheus instructed the champions to defend the belts or forfeit them, thus leading to the match with Twin Blood.
Nefarus had healed significantly from his previous injuries, but during the match his lack of mobility became clear very quickly. Dreggs and Sleeze took full advantage, pounding down first Nefarus and then Vendetta, who was fighting a handicap match once his battered partner tagged out. Dreggs finally put the big Colonizer away with the “Twist and Shout” to claim the victory.
As a team, Twin Blood won the tag titles for the fifth time. Individually, Dreggs now has a total of sixteen title reigns, while his brother Sleeze has held the belts eleven times.
WRATH INJURED BY OVERKILL In his final GWF match while serving a USWF suspension, Wrath was injured by Overkill after defeating the Aethran strongman. Wrath’s return to the USWF ring was expected to be delayed an additional month due to the injury.
“I got stuff to take care on in my own federation,” Wrath said as he prepared to leave the GWF,” but tell Overkill I’ll be back. He’s a goon, and he ain’t gonna do something like this to me and think I’m walking away. I can’t settle it now, but I got a long memory.”

DEEP SPACE SHOWCASE 2112 The Deep Space Showcase originated in 2096 and is the federation’s only traveling supercard. The Showcase is held in a different location each year as a means of bringing a major card to more of the galaxy’s arenas. The 2112 event was presented on June 10 at the Amazon Arena of Orion before a crowd of over 102,000 fans. The main event for this year’s card was scheduled to be a GWF Heavyweight Title Match between Thunder and his top challenger Max Shield. In addition, Twin Blood was set to defend the Tag Team Titles against Malice and Overkill and Rising Sun signed to defend his Interplanetary Belt against Dark Justice. Enigma and Prodigy reached the finals of the tournament to crown a new Light Heavyweight Champion. Commissioner Morpheus had previously announced that the Cruiserweight Title would be retired and the new belt would be known as the Light Heavyweight Championship in order to acknowledge its new 250 pound weight limit.
DEEP SPACE SHOWCASE: THE CARD
The Draconian Sheik defeated Overtime Time: 4:52 In a good opening bout, the Sheik took control early in the match, but Overtime fought back and made a good showing before the Sheik pinned him with a power bomb.
Rebel Empire over Transformer Time: 2:52 The slumping former tag team champions broke a five match losing streak as Nefarus pinned Monad with a “Scissordriver.”
Turnbuckle Shock Match Blade over Skinhead Time: 0:52 Quick win for Blade as he scored with a “Blade of Retribution.”
Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Special Matches Title Blazing Skull over Corporal Aegis (c) Time: 3:18 The Brymstone star used a “Death by Fire” on the arena flood to capture the belt. Skull became the Special Matches Champion for the second time, his first reign having come as the initial holder of the title in 2107.
War Games Tag Team Titles Next Generation (c) over the Ravagers Time: 5:15 After a slow start to the year, Next Generation continued their recent success as Bloodline put away Ventross with the “Cetus Masterlock.”
Cygnus Adamantium Fists Match Wraith over Sekada Time: 5:50 Sekada chose this match, but Wraith came out on top in a bloody and brutal battle.
Light Heavyweight Championship Match (Tournament Final) Enigma over Prodigy Time: 2:58 Enigma got the win with a head butt off the turnbuckle, thus becoming the first holder of the Light Heavyweight Championship. Enigma was also the first winner of the Crusirerwight Title, the belt being replaced by the Light Heavyweight Championship, when he won another tournament for the crown in 2104.
Battlezone Match Archon, Star & Stripes, and Chad Hillsman defeated the SWAT Team, Assassin X, and Mike Fortune. Time: 8:32 Archon was selected randomly to start the match for his team and proceeded to put in one of the most impressive performances in War Games history, defeating Assassin X, Fortune, Warfare, and Trench in order without losing a fall and taking less than nine minutes to finish off all four.
After the match, Commander Sam commented on his team’s performance. “That was a great effort,” Sam said. “I have nothing but faith in Archon, but no one could have expected that. I think Archon just proved that he deserves to be mentioned with the elite in this federation. He held the Heavyweight Title for a short time last year, but tonight’s win might be even more impressive. Thunder and Rising Sun had better be prepared, because we’re coming after some gold now.”
Cosmic Cage Match Mensar over Vyper Time: 3:35 Vyper had made this challenge to the big rookie from Mensa, but Mensar completely dominated the contest before winning with a “Wrecking Machine.”
Interplanetary Title Match Rising Sun (c) over Dark Justice Time: 2:50 Dark Justice had been red hot recently, but Rising Sun was too much for him on this day, scoring the pin on a deathjump to retain his title.
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match The Ninja Assassins over TitanAttack Time: 9:30 In a very tough back-and-forth match, Ursa Major finally went down to a “Double Edged Sword” as the Ninjas claimed the victory.
War Games Singles Title Match Mandrill (c) over Terminus Mandrill continued his impressive streak with a fifth straight defense of a belt that is defended on every War Games card and normally changes hands frequently as he drilled Terminus with a “Voltaic Stunner.”
Six Man Elimination Tag Team Match Manslaughter, Pegasus, and Euritar defeated Genocide and Desolation Factor Time: 13:05 Code Enforcer Manslaughter was beaten down early by Genocide but came back to score the first fall on the monster from Omicron after a missed deathjump. Euritar went down next as be fell to a “Racked and Ruined,” but Pegasus came in to eliminate Ruin, and Manslaughter then finished off Rack for the win.
GWF Tag Team Title Match Twin Blood (c) over Malice and Overkill Time: 25:19 In one of the very best tag team matches seen in the GWF in years, all four wrestlers were beaten down in a contest that took nearly a half hour. The advantage shifted back and forth numerous times, and both Gladiator bodyguard Brute and Twin Blood manager Johnny Rocket got involved more than once. Overkill finally went down to a “Seeing Double” finisher as Dreggs and Sleeze retained their titles in one of their toughest challenges ever.
GWF Heavyweight Championship Match Thunder (c) over Max Shield Time: 4:08 After the incredible tag team title match, the main event was something of a letdown. Thunder controlled most of the contest and scored the win with a “Tempest” to retain to his belt. The Aethran star has now held the title for over seven months and for a total of fourteen defenses, the longest and most impressive reign since Pegasus ended his tremendous fourteen month, 42 defense run in late 2110.
In the locker room after the card, Dreggs was asked about the epic tag team title contest. “My brother and me have fought the Aethrans more times than anyone can count,” he said, “but tonight was something special. Overkill hasn't looked that good in a couple of years. Everything we gave, they gave back. I’m glad we got out of it with the belts. I wasn't sure we would at some points. Looks to me like Malice and Overkill are ready to get back to the top, but Sleeze and me will be there waiting for them whenever they want to go again.”
AVENGING WARRIORS TAKE EARLY WAR GAMES LEAD The Avenging Warriors, helped by their big win in the six man elimination tag match at the Deep Space Showcase, have taken the early lead in the 2112 War Games. Genesis follows closed behind in second, with most of the teams clumped close together in the middle of the pack. Current standings are as follows:
War Games Standings (Point goal is 200): Points 1. The Avenging Warriors (Manslaughter, Pegasus, Euritar, Enigma, Keth Vale) 37 2. Genesis (Max Shield, the Ravagers, Brock and Dillon Mason) 32 3. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 30 4. Team Thantos (Terminus, Paragon, Blazing Skull, Next Generation) 27 5. Payback (Prodigy, Skinhead, Draconian Sheik, Ninja Assassins) 26 6. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, TitanAttack) 25 7. Colonizers (Mandrill, Wraith, Anarchy, Rebel Empire) 24 8. Deadly Militia (Dark Justice, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, SWAT Team) 23 9. The Rocketmen (Vyper, Wolf, Twin Blood) 20 10. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Overkill, Malice, Mensar) 15 11. Alien Alliance (Murdok, Genocide, Sekada, Desolation Factor) 13
War Games Notes: The Aethrans have been slowed by an injury to Malice that has kept him out of all but two War Games cards . . . The Draconian Sheik and Prodigy have both been impressive for Guile’s Payback team . . . Anarchy has missed several cards for the Colonizers due to an injury, as has the FDF’s new addition Chad Hillsman.

PEGASUS TAKES THE GOLD AGAINPegasus stunned the GWF by capturing the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship for the seventh time in his career, defeating Thunder for the belt on July 15, 2112 at the Arcturus Parthenon of Bootes. Pegasus had pinned Thunder in a non-title match over a month earlier. The two fought again with the belt on the line at the Capella Star Gardens on June 20, but when Pegasus appeared to have the match and the title won, Brute stormed into the ring and attacked the challenger, causing a disqualification. Pegasus suffered bruised ribs in the assault and was forced to sit out over three weeks of action. However, Commissioner Morpheus did not let the incident pass without repercussions. Immediately after the June 20 card, Morpheus issues the following statement: “Thunder was beaten tonight. Brute knew it, which is why he interfered to get Thunder disqualified and injured Pegasus. For this reason, I am suspending Brute for the upcoming card on June 25. I am also ordering that Thunder will not defend the belt again until Pegasus is healthy enough to fight him for it, which we expect to happen in around three weeks. Finally, when Pegasus is ready to fight Thunder again, I am going to let Pegasus choose the type of special match he wants in order to ensure that we have a clear winner this time.” Pegasus selected a Castor Chain Match for his title shot, and the man who calls himself “The Great One” was finally given clearance to compete on July 15. The match itself was a fairly quick affair. Thunder came out strong, but Pegasus blasted him with the chain and then pinned him with a “Project Pegasus” in under three minutes. “Everyone thought I was finished after Terminus injured me,” said Pegasus, who missed the final three months of 2110 after a brutal attack by Terminus forced him to abandon the heavyweight title he had held for over a year. “Everyone said I’d never be the same. Well, I’m not the same. I’m better than ever. I won the belt last year, and now I’ve done it again this year. Are there any more questions as to whether I can still get the job done? Seven time champion. Not many people can say that. I am the Great One, and I always have been, and I always will be.” Thunder offered a different perspective on the match. “Morpheus set me up to lose the belt,” he said. “Since when does the challenger get to pick the match? But it’s okay. Let Pegasus enjoy the belt tonight. He won’t have it for long. No matter what he says, he’s lost more than a step. This was a fluke, and I’ll prove it the first chance I get.” WAR GAMES ROSTERS CHANGE AS GAMES HEAT UPSeveral teams made changes to their lineups as the 2112 War Games headed into mid-summer. The first group to make an adjustment was the Gladiators of Aethra. Brute called a press conference to announce the change on July 20 before a card at the Astral Gardens. “As everybody has noticed, the Gladiators are not winning the War Games,” began Brute, understating the fact that the Aethran team had been in last place since the beginning of the Games. “That just ain’t acceptable. So, Minister of War Vengeance decided to add someone to our team. He wasn’t supposed to come to the GWF until next year, but we need him now, so P3 will be coming from the USWF to the GWF. He’ll be joining us as soon as we can get him here.” Three days later, Krakan was the next team leader to announce a change. “I had hopes for the SWAT Team,” Krakan said. “I thought they were my kind of tag team. It turns out they stink, so they’re fired as of right now. Mike Fortune and Dark Justice will form an official tag team for the rest of the Games, and we’re also adding three men to our roster. The first is an old friend: The Mad Jester. This time it’s the clone, not the broken down old one. I’ve also talked Necros into coming from the USWF to join us. And our third addition is a new man from earth: welcome Stone Mountain.” A huge, hulking individual with long, stringy hair walked out onto the stage and shook hands with Krakan. He was over six and a half feet in height and seemed nearly as wide as he was tall. Krakan offered no further information on his background, but his size alone made Stone Mountain a significant addition to the Deadly Militia. ( Note: Stone Mountain was originally a creation of the ICOF. The card I am using was produced as a Krazy Kards special edition. You can see the card and the bio here: www.krazykards.com/profile_se8.php .) Reynard B. Guile made the next announcement, speaking for his Payback team on July 26. “We’ve been doing pretty well so far,” Guile said. “But we want to win these Games, so we’ve hired a little help. Krakan dumped the SWAT Team, so Trench needed a new team. He came to us, and we accepted. He’ll be joining us for the next card.” Finally, Johnny Rocket spoke for the Rocketmen on July 29. “Since the Gladiators are bringing in P3, we were down a man,” he stated. “But then someone came knocking on our door. Trench joined Guile, which left Warfare without a partner. Well, he’s got partners now. Warfare is now a member of the Rocketmen for the rest of the War Games.” Teams have until the Starclash supercard on August 18 to make further changes.

MANDRILL TOPS PEGASUS FOR GALAXIAN TITLEOn July 15, 2112 Pegasus stunned the GWF and its fans, most of whom no longer saw him as a top-tier wrestler, by defeating Thunder for the Galaxian Heavyweight Title. The Great One’s reign at the top was short lived, however, as Mandrill crushed him to take the belt less than one month later on August 9. Mandrill, who had been in line for a shot at the title while Thunder was the champion, stepped forward as Pegasus’ very first challenger on August 4 at the Oberon Civic Center. The Prime Colonizer dominated the match from the opening bell, but Pegasus was disqualified when the action spilled out of the ring and thus retained his title. Pegasus later denied that he intentionally caused the disqualification to save his belt. Five days later at the Umbriel Skydome of Uranus, the two wrestlers met again, this time in a Titan Death Match. Pegasus made a much better showing in this contest, fighting back from near defeat several times, but Mandrill controlled the action for most of the match and in the end simply overwhelmed the champion before pinning him with a “Colonizer Claw Slam.” Mandrill became the GWF Heavyweight Champion for the seventh time in his career, the first having come in 2104 and the most recent a brief run one year ago. TITANS, GENESIS MAKE ROSTER ADDITIONSThe Fighting Titans and the Genesis team both brought in new wrestlers to add to their squads as the deadline for War Games roster changes neared. The Titans added Mike “Tank” Adams, a wrestler who was born on Titan but spent most of his early life on Earth. At 6’5” and 355 pounds, this young man immediately became the largest member of the Titan team. While Abrams employs a power attack that differs from that normally practiced by the Titans, Lord Nexus expressed great enthusiasm for his new wrestler’s abilities. ( Note: Mike "Tank" Abrams can be found in Kevin Wible's NSWA Series One card set.) Vertigo announced that the Genesis team had picked up Moeru Tohkon, a high-flying technical wrestler from Earth. Tohkon will be the smallest full-time wrestler in the GWF at 5’10” and 190 pounds, but Genesis hopes that his agility and aerial attack will compensate for his lack of size. ( Note: Moeru Tohkon is a creation of Kevin Knipe and Krazy Kards. His picture and bio can be found here: www.krazykards.com/profile_02.php.)WOLF WINS IP TITLE FOR TWELFTH TIMEWolf became a twelve-time Interplanetary Champion by defeating Rising Sun for the belt at the Eureka Asteroid Arena on July 30, 2112. The title match was almost completely controlled by the GWF’s all-time victory leader. Rising Sun fought back gamely several times, but Wolf had an answer for every move the champion tried. At the six minute mark, the Animan star finally ended the match with his “Savage Face Claw.” Wolf has now won the Interplanetary Belt twelve times, more than any other wrestler. His last IP reign was in 2110. “It’s no disgrace losing to Wolf,” a dejected Rising Sun said after the card. “But I am disappointed in myself. I wasn’t at my best, obviously. It was a tough night. I’ll be back in the hunt for a title soon.” COLONIZERS LEAD AS WAR GAMES NEAR MIDPOINTAs the 2112 GWF War Games approach the halfway point, the Colonizers of Scorpi, led by new GWF Heavyweight Champion Mandrill, have pulled into the lead. The Games are reasonably close throughout the standings, with only six points separating first place from third and six teams within seventeen points of the leaders. War Games Standings (Point goal is 200): Points 1. Colonizers (Mandrill, Wraith, Anarchy, Rebel Empire) 88 2. The Avenging Warriors (Manslaughter, Pegasus, Euritar, Enigma, Keth Vale) 83 3. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, Mike Abrams, TitanAttack) 82 4T. The Rocketmen (Vyper, Wolf, Warfare, Twin Blood) 75 4T. Team Thantos (Terminus, Paragon, Blazing Skull, Next Generation) 75 6. Payback (Prodigy, Skinhead, Draconian Sheik, Trench, Ninja Assassins) 74 7. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 71 8. Alien Alliance (Murdok, Genocide, Sekada, Maelstrom, Desolation Factor) 66 9. Deadly Militia (Dark Justice, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Mad Jester Clone, Stone Mountain, Necros) 61 10. Genesis (Max Shield, the Ravagers, Moeeru Tohkon, Brock and Dillon Mason) 59 11. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Overkill, Malice, P3, Mensar) 56 War Games Notes: The rookie P3 arrived in the GWF and won his first three matches for the Gladiators before suffering an injury . . . Newcomer Mike “Tank” Abrams has been very impressive for the Titans . . . Krakan’s new additions have done little to help his Deadly Militia in the standings . . . After being dumped by Krakan, both Trench and Warfare have been very impressive in singles action for their new teams . . . Stars & Stripes, after starting their first year poorly, have been red hot of late. STARCLASH PREVIEWStarclash, the oldest of the GWF’s non-tournament supercards, will be held on August 18 at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. Scheduled matches for the event include the following: Mandrill defends the GWF Heavyweight Championship against Manslaughter. Genocide vs. Max Shield (special match to be determined) Wolf, Dreggs, and Warfare vs. Pegasus, Enigma, and Euritar in a Battlezone Match Stars & Stripes defend the War Games Tag Team Belts against Rebel Empire Corporal Aegis vs. Murdok (special match to be determined) Mensar vs. Terminus in the GWF’s first ever Table Match. Blazing Skull vs. Keth Vale for the Special Matches Title (special match to be determined)

STARCLASH XXVI The GWF held its twenty-sixth annual Starclash spectacular at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena on August 18, 2112. Starclash is the longest running and most prestigious of the GWF supercards. The event is traditionally a showcase for tributes to major GWF personalities and dramatic announcements as well as exciting wrestling matches.
NEW WRESTLING LEAGUE ANNOUNCED On the morning of the Starclash Supercard, Commissioner Morpheus called a press conference in the Deimos Media Center. Appearing on stage with him were USWF Commissioner Grogan, Magnus Colby, Solaris, and former USWF Commissioner “Trainer” Jim Powell. Powell stepped up to the microphone first.
“In 2099, I was proud to stand on this same stage on the day of this same supercard as we announced the formation of the USWF,” the former Fighting Titan manager began. “Now, fourteen years later, we are here with a similar purpose. With the support and the blessing of both the GWF and the USWF, and a generous financial donation from Mr. Magnus Colby, I am pleased to announce the creation of a new federation, Deep Space Championship Wrestling.
“DSCW will have its headquarters on Polaris. Whereas both the GWF and the USWF are based primarily in this solar system, we expect to hold a large majority of our cards in the more remote areas of the galaxy. In this way we hope to bring live wrestling to more locations without competing directly with the existing federations represented on this stage.
“While we have cooperated with the GWF and the USWF in developing our plans for DSCW, we will be a fully independent organization. We may discuss some degree of cross promotion or talent exchange at some point, but we will remain a separate business entity.
“I have been saying 'we' in referring to DSCW because I am on the board of directors of this new federation and because I am currently serving as the interim commissioner for DSCW while the federation is in its planning stages. We hope to begin promoting cards before the end of this year, probably in November or December. We have not yet decided whether I will remain as commissioner at that point.
“Our talent will be drawn from around the galaxy. Some of our wrestlers have been stars in other federations. You may recognize a few of the names we have signed so far: Ciber Naught, Drake the Black Tiger, Big Bubba Butcher, Collin Redfeather, Behemyth, Zachary Storm, Baron Michael Strauss, and the tag teams Primal Fear and Adrenalynne. We will also have some new competitiors, or course. I will have more names for you as the time for our first card draws near.”
(Note: All of the wrestlers named above are from either Kevin Knipe and Keith Vella's Krazy Kards sets or from Kevin Wible's NSWA sets. The large majority of the competitors in this new federation will be drawn from these two sources.)
Next Solaris stepped forward to speak. “In 2109 we received word that the portals between this dimension and Dimension X were becoming unstable. Several wrestlers, including Alpha Force, Chaos, the Matador of M83, Vector One, Janus, and Father Steel, took what we saw as possibly the final opportunity to move on to Dimension X to continue their careers. The reports did indeed turn out to be true; not only did the known portals become much more dangerous to use, but many of them closed completely.
“However, I am pleased to announce that a new portal to Dimension X has recently been discovered. Inter-dimensional travel is never completely safe, but this portal appears much more stable than the others we know. As it happens, this new portal is located near Polaris. We have thus received some communications from individuals in Dimension X who wish to compete in the new DSWC, including representatives of a very interesting Animan-like race known as Lycans. We are working out the details of allowing these beings to come from Dimension X to wrestle. As things progress, we may have more information about possible arrivals from Dimension X in the DSWC.”
Finally, GWF Commissioner Morpheus spoke. “I just want to say, for myself and for Commissioner Grogan, that the GWF and the USWF are completely in support of the DSWC and will do all we can to help this new organization succeed. After all of our troubles with Cordanus in the last few years, it is wonderful to see wrestling growing and expanding again. We will look forward to hearing more about its development over the next few months.”
STARCLASH XXVI: THE CARD
Draconian Sheik over Necros Time: 2:36 The opening match was a brief affair as the Sheik caught Necros with a “Draconian Backbreaker.”
Moeru Tohkon over Skinhead by DQ Time: 2:31 Another short match as Skinhead was disqualified for actions outside the ring.
Hitman Match The Clone Mad Jester over Trench Time: 4:35 The Clone won it after connecting with a "Dead Man’s Verse," collecting a bounty Krakan had set on his former Deadly Militia member Trench.
Castor Chain Match Mike “Tank” Abrams over Stone Mountain Time: 4:42 Stone Mountain had the early advantage, but the newest Titan came back for the win.
Between matches, GWF interviewer Thranduil Glorfin came upon an unexpected visitor backstage: Vengeance, the Gladiator leader who had retired at the end of 2111. When Glorfin asked why he had come to Starclash, Vengeance snarled out the following answer:
“Is it hard to figure out why I’m here, you kluge? The Gladiator team is in last place in the War Games! That is unacceptable. I’m here to let our men know they had better get things going soon, or there will be consequences.”
The Ravagers over Desolation Factor Time: 4:15 The Ravagers continue to break out of their year-long slump, winning their fourth straight match by mowing over Desolation Factor as Ventross hit a “Ravager Gut Buster” on Ruin.
Cosmic Cage Match Brock Mason over Wraith Time: 2:51 Mason won it easily by hitting a “Blow Your Mind.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match Prodigy over Blade Time: 4:07 Blade was no match for Prodigy, who dominated the contest and won with a “Perfect Singles Finisher.”
Total Anarchy Match Anarchy over Dillon Mason Time: 6:42 Dillon Mason put up a good fight, but Anarchy won it with a power bomb in the dressing room.
Next Generation over TitanAttack Time: 5:29 The Titans continue their recent slide as Encubus hit the “Second Coming” on Ursa Major.
Six Man Elimination Tag Match Dark Justice, Mike Fortune, and Assassin X over Thunder, Malice, and Overkill Time: 9:31 Dark Justice got things started by pinning Thunder and then came back into the match to take out Overkill on a DQ. Fortune pinned Malice to end the match in a sweep as all of Krakan’s men survived.
Titan Hardcore Match for the Special Matches Title Blazing Skull (c) over Keth Vale Time: 4:25 Skull won a hard fought match with his “Death By Fire” to retain his title.
Between matches, cameras caught Vengeance storming out of the Aethran locker room and out of the arena. The clearly furious gladiator legend refused to make any statement.
GWF’s First Ever Mensa Table Match Terminus over Mensar Time: 6:04 This match was Mensar’s creation, and he succeeded in putting Terminus through all three tables, but the Aran superstar managed to come back to get the win.
Circinus Cell Match Murdok over Aegis Time: 4:40 Murdok hit the “Power of the Plague” after Genocide interfered in a brawl on the top of the cage.
War Games Tag Team Championship Match Rebel Empire over Stars & Stripes (c) Time: 10:31 The red hot team of Stars & Stripes put in another great effort could not outlast the Colonizer team as Vendetta hit a “Big Fall” on American Guy to win the belts.
Falls Count Anywhere Match Rising Sun over Sekada Time: 1:03 Rising Sun stunned the Cygnus wrestler with a “Super Dragon Drop” to score the quick pin.
Battlezone Match Wolf, Dreggs, and Warfare over Pegasus, Enigma, and Euritar Time: 13:28 Enigma started well, eliminating Warfare by pinfall and Wolf by DQ, but Dreggs then came in and put away Enigma, Pegasus, and Euritar in order for the win.
Four Weapons of Destruction Match Max Shield over Genocide Time: 6:54 Like all matches of this type, the contest was brutal, but Shield finally put the monster down with an “Omicron Force.”
GWF Heavyweight Championship Match Mandrill (c) over Code Enforcer Manslaughter by DQ Time: 5:46 This was a tough match that was very close until Manslaughter lost his composure and was disqualified outside the ring.

WAR GAMES UPDATE: COLONIZERS LOSE LEAD The Colonizers of Scorpi, leaders for much of the 2112 GWF War Games, have now slipped out of first place. Team Thantos and the Rocketmen have shot to the top of the standings, with the Fighting Titans close behind. The Colonizers and the Avenging Warriors also remain close in what is still overall a very close race. Current standing are as follows:
War Games Standings (Point goal is 200): Points 1T. The Rocketmen (Vyper, Wolf, Twin Blood, Warfare) 133 1T. Team Thantos (Terminus, Paragon, Blazing Skull, Next Generation) 133 3. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, TitanAttack, Tank Adams) 130 4. The Avenging Warriors (Manslaughter, Pegasus, Euritar, Enigma, Keth Vale) 124 5. Colonizers (Mandrill, Wraith, Anarchy, Rebel Empire) 123 6T. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 110 6T. Payback (Prodigy, Skinhead, Draconian Sheik, Trench, Ninja Assassins) 110 8T. Genesis (Max Shield, the Ravagers, Brock and Dillon Mason, Moeru Tohkon) 100 8T. Deadly Militia (Dark Justice, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Jester Clone, Stone Mountain) 100 10. Alien Alliance (Murdok, Genocide, Sekada, Maelstrom, Desolation Factor) 94 11. WARRIOR VILLAGE WARFARE 2112 The supercard originally known as War Dome Warfare was started in 2099 at the prompting of Thakur the Oppressor. Held at the Aethra War Dome until 2104, the event was cancelled by the GWF for two years due to political disputes with Aethra. In 2106 the federation reinstituted the card and moved it to Aethra’s huge Warrior Village Coliseum. In 2110 the name of the card was finally changed to Warrior Village Warfare. This year’s event was held on October 9 before a sellout crowd of over 144,000 fans.
The traditional format for War Dome Warfare involves at least one Aethran Ultimate Escape Match, with the main event including the Aethran team. This year’s card set the Gladiators against the Avenging Warriors in the cage. In addition, Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Mandrill signed to put his title on the line against Rising Sun.
WAR DOME WARFARE RESULTS
Desolation Factor over Transformer by Countout Time: 3:30 The big tag team from Dimension X won when Nth Degree was counted out.
Sekada over Enigma Time: 4:43 The rookie from Cygnus pulled off a huge upset by hitting his “Dreadnaught” finisher three straight times.
Turnbuckle Shock Match Paragon over Warfare Time: 3:56 Paragon won it with a choke slam.
Battlezone Match Krakan’s Deadly Militia over Guile’s Payback Time: 10:28 In a shocking performance, the Mad Jester Clone started the match for the Militia and, after beating Trench by DQ, pinned Hydrax, Prodigy, and Daemon in order to sweep the match. The Clone’s teammates Assassin X, Necros, and Stone Mountain never entered the contest.
Cosmic Cage Match Murdok over Corporal Aegis Time: 3:11 Murdok used “The Power of the Plague” to make short work of Aegis.
Falls Count Anywhere Match Max Shield over Wraith Time: 3:25 Shield pinned Wraith on the floor after suplexing him through a seat in the audience.
War Games Tag Team Championship Match The Ravagers over Next Generation (c) Time: 5:28 Ventross hit a Ravager Gut Buster on Encubus to win the title for the third time this year.
Earth Ladder Match for Special Matches Championship Draconian Sheik over Blazing Skull (c) Time: 4:30 The Sheik surprised Skull by dominating this match before using a foreign object to knock out his opponent and climb the latter to claim the belt for the first time.
Ruins of Antilia Match Vyper over Anarchy Time: 1:50 Vyper got the win with the Leviathan in the ring after Wolf attacked Anarchy as soon as the match spilled into the artificial environment.
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Dark Fortune (Mike Fortune and Dark Justice) over Stars & Stripes Time: 4:32 In a hard-hitting match, Mike Fortune used “The Hangman” on American Guy for the win.
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Archon over Terminus Time: 3:54 Archon simply applied his finishers over and over to put Terminus away.
Flamsteed Street Fight Wolf over Genocide Time: 6:16 In a wild, bloody match, Wolf finally knocked Genocide out with a video monitor to score the pin on the arena floor.
GWF Tag Team Championship Match Twin Blood (c) over TitanAttack Time: 3:59 For the past two years TitanAttack has been the toughest opponent in the federation for Twin Blood, but this time the brother team dominated as Scion Nexus went down to a “Seeing Double.”
GWF Heavyweight Championship Match Rising Sun over Mandrill (c) In a stunning upset, Rising Sun won the Galaxian Title for the first time in his career. Vendetta and Wraith interfered to save Mandrill after the challenger had hit a “Sunset Spectacular,” but the referee let the match continue, and finally Rising sun hit a Moonsault Press to put the Colonizer leader away. Mandrill’s title reign ended after exactly one month.
Aethran Ultimate Escape Match The Gladiators of Aethra over the Avenging Warriors Time: 15:52 With Aethran Minister of War Vengeance looking on, Malice was the first to escape the cage as he got past Pegasus. P3 then escaped over Euritar and Thunder over Keth Vale, leaving Overkill alone with all four members of the Avenging Warriors. Manslaughter and Pegasus both escaped before Overkill finally overcame Euritar, who had earlier been beaten down badly by Malice and Thunder.
WAR DOME WARFARE WRAP-UP The Gladiator team finally managed a significant win after a year of disappointing performances. However, Vengeance seemed unimpressed. “It should have been a sweep,” the Minister of War stated. “Overkill should not have let two men escape. He clearly needs some help. I think we are going to take some real action before 2113 comes around.”
Rising Sun’s win over Mandrill shocked the GWF, even though he had beaten the Prime Colonizer in a non-title match two weeks earlier. The new champion, who has held the Interplanetary Title three times and the Cruiserweight Title on four occasions, dominated his stronger opponent. His win puts the Titans in a strong position as the War Games near their homestretch.
Krakan’s new tag team of Dark Justice and Mike Fortune continues to impress. They have been one of the most successful teams in the federation since they began teaming together regularly.
MORPEHUS ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO WAR GAMES ENDING GWF Commissioner Morpheus called at press conference on October 10, the day after Warrior Village Warfare.
“We had announced that this year we would go back to our format of deciding the War Games winner based on a point total rather than a set ending date,” Morpheus began. “That point total was to be 200. However, as we are now in October and no team has even reached 150 points, it appears that we overestimated how much we had reduced our schedule due to Cordanus’ interference in the past few years.
“For this reason, I am now announcing that the War Games may end in two ways. If any team reaches the 200 point total before our November 26 card on Deimos, that team will be the winner. If no team has reached 200 points by then, the team with the highest point total at the end of the November 26 card will be declared the winner. I hate to change the rules in mid-stream like this, but with the Games so close, I don’t think any team is really disadvantaged. May the best team win.”

MANDRILL REGAINS HEAVYWEIGHT BELT Just three weeks after losing the GWF Heavyweight Championship to Rising Sun, Mandrill regained the belt at the Altair Crystal Palace on November 2, 2112.
Mandrill dominated the title match from the opening bell, beating Rising Sun all around the ring. The determined champion refused to surrender despite being bloodied and injured. At the seven minute mark Rising Sun mounted a comeback and miraculously appeared to take the advantage, but the tide turned again when the Titan star missed a suicide dive. Mandrill quickly capitalized and connected with a “Mutant Mauler” from which the champion could not escape.
The Prime Colonizer claimed the heavyweight belt for the eighth time in his career. After the card, the new champion commented on his victory. “This belt is mine and always has been,” he stated. “I’ve been let down by people in the War Games, but there’s still no one better than me one-on-one. Last month Rising Sun got lucky and caught me off balance. This time I set things right, and this is how things will stay.”
AEGIS, P3 BOTH SUFFER INJURIES Two GWF stars recently suffered injuries that may keep them out of action for the rest of the year in recent unrelated incidents.
The first to go down was Corporal Aegis, who had just lost a match to Murdok when he was attacked by Murdok and Maelstrom. Aegis suffered a variety of injures that could put him on the sidelines for the remainder of the year, though there is some chance he could return for the year-ending Galacticade event.
“This was a warning to the FDF,” Alien Alliance manager Mangus declared after the card. “We’re tired of Sam’s crew, and we’re taking them out. Aegis was just the first. I’m finally going to put Sam and his team out of the GWF for good.”
Also suffering a significant injury was the young Aethran P3, who was wounded in a match against Vyper. P3’s injuries were not quite as serious as those Aegis sustained, and he was expected to return to the ring in early December. However, Aethran Minister of War Vengeance announced that his young strongman’s year was over.
“Because P3’s injuries will keep him out until the end of the War Games, I am taking him back to Aethra now,” Vengeance announced. “Once his wounds have healed, he will undergo the cleansing to end all cleansings. Moreover, once the War Games end, Overkill will also return to Aethra for a cleansing. Thunder and Malice will represent Aethra in the GWF for the final month of 2112. This year has been an embarrassment, and we are taking steps to correct the situation. In 2113 you will see a new Gladiator team that will take its rightful place atop his federation.”
WAR GAMES A TWO TEAM RACE With just three cards left in the 2112 GWF War Games, the Rocketmen and the Fighting Titans are virtually tied for first place. The Titans lead by a single point, while Team Thantos and the Avenging Warriors have fallen at least fourteen points point back.
“It’s very exciting,” stated Lord Nexus, who has never won a War Games ring as a wrestler or as a manager. “I’ve never been this close before. The Rocketmen are a great team. They have the tag champs in Twin Blood, and with Wolf on their side for the Games, they have the advantage. But we’re going to make it interesting here at the end.”
The Titans have been led in this year's Games by outstanding performances from Rising Sun and TitanAttack. Overtime has also been very hot recently, and newcomer Tank Abrams has also performed well.
However, the Titans suffered a setback in early November as Overtime was injured in an attack by Krakan’s Deadly Militia and will miss the remainder of the Games. Krakan has sworn that he will do whatever is necessary to prevent Lord Nexus from winning a ring.
War Games Standings (Games will end on November 26 if point total of 200 is not reached.): 1. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, TitanAttack, Tank Adams) 163 Points 2. The Rocketmen (Vyper, Wolf, Twin Blood, Warfare) 162 3. The Avenging Warriors (Manslaughter, Pegasus, Euritar, Enigma, Keth Vale) 149 4. Team Thantos (Terminus, Paragon, Blazing Skull, Next Generation) 148 5. Genesis (Max Shield, the Ravagers, Brock and Dillon Mason, Moeru Tohkon) 140 6T. Payback (Prodigy, Skinhead, Draconian Sheik, Trench, Ninja Assassins) 139 6T. Deadly Militia (Dark Justice, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Jester Clone, Stone Mountain) 139 8. Colonizers (Mandrill, Wraith, Anarchy, Rebel Empire) 137 9T. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 123 9T. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Overkill, Malice, P3, Mensar) 123 11. ROCKETMEN CLAIM THE WAR GAMES RINGS The Rocketmen took home the 2112 GWF War Games Championship by besting the Fighting Titans in a series of matches at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena on November 26.
The Rocketmen entered the final card of the Games trailing the Fighting Titans by two points, 174-172. Because no other team was close enough in the standings to have a chance at winning, Commissioner Morpheus ordered that the top two teams would decide the championship by matching all of their wrestlers against each other in a series of four contests. Overtime had been injured by Krakan’s Deadly Militia two weeks earlier and was unable to compete for the Titans.
Blade, who was still nursing an injury suffered on an earlier card, began the series against Warfare, who had joined the Rocketmen midway through the Games. Warfare proved too powerful for the injured Centaurian and go the win to bring his team within one point at 174-173.
Next the Rocketmen sent Vyper to face off against Mike “Tank” Abrams, the newest Titan. Vyper lost by disqualification, and thus the score remained unchanged as no point was awarded.
In the third match, Wolf took on War Games Singles Champion Rising Sun. The contest was a tremendous battle, with both wrestlers putting out everything they had for ten solid minutes. Eventually Wolf caught his opponent in the Savage Face Claw to win the War Games Singles Belt and the two points awarded for winning the championship, putting the Rocketmen ahead 175-174.
Finally, in the deciding match, GWF Tag Team Champions Twin Blood were challenged by TitanAttack, the team that has been among the most difficult foes for the champions over the past two years. On this night, however, the twin brothers were ready and beat Ursa Major down until he could not escape the "Dreggs of Defeat." Because a defense of the GWF Heavyweight or Tag Team belts is worth three points, the Rocketmen claimed the War Games Championship with a 178-174 victory.
The win gave Wolf his fifth War Games ring, the first having come in the initial War Games in 2091. Dreggs won his fourth ring, Sleeze his second, and Johnny Rocket his second as a manager. Vyper and Warfare won rings for the first time.
The Fighting Titans finished as runner-up for the second consecutive year. Never has Lord Nexus come closer to winning the trophy that has always eluded him, but the Titan manager was gracious in defeat.
“They just beat us tonight,” Nexus stated. “Our guys put in great efforts, but their team was better. We congratulate them. They are great champions.”
Final War Games Standings were as follows: 1. The Rocketmen (Vyper, Wolf, Twin Blood, Warfare) 178 points 2. Fighting Titans (Rising Sun, Blade, Overtime, TitanAttack, Tank Adams) 174 points 3. The Avenging Warriors (Manslaughter, Pegasus, Euritar, Enigma, Keth Vale) 159 points 4. Team Thantos (Terminus, Paragon, Blazing Skull, Next Generation) 153 points 5T. Colonizers (Mandrill, Wraith, Anarchy, Rebel Empire) 151 points 5T. Payback (Prodigy, Skinhead, Draconian Sheik, Trench, Ninja Assassins) 151 points 7. Genesis (Max Shield, the Ravagers, Brock and Dillon Mason, Moeru Tohkon) 148 points 8. Deadly Militia (Dark Justice, Assassin X, Mike Fortune, Jester Clone, Stone Mountain) 147 points 9. Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Overkill, Malice, P3, Mensar) 130 points 10T. Alien Alliance (Murdok, Genocide, Sekada, Maelstrom, Desolation Factor) 128 points 10T. FDF (Archon, Corporal Aegis, Chad Hillsman, Stars & Stripes) 128 points
TITAN CHALLENGE 2112 The Titan Challenge was the creation of “Trainer Jim” Powell and has been held at the Titan Sportatorium of Saturn each November since 2095. From 2101 to 2106 the Challenge was a co-promotion of the GWF and the United Stars Wrestling Federation and featured wrestlers from both organizations. In 2107, due to the legal separation of the two federations because of Magnus Colby’s attempted takeover, the supercard returned to its original format as a GWF showcase for special challenge matches.
The 2112 Titan Challenge took place on November 21. As it had in 2111, the GWF invited specific wrestlers from the USWF to participate and invited all other USWF personnel to attend as guests. The main event was scheduled to be a champion versus champion non-title match between GWF Heavyweight Champion Mandrill and USWF title holder Jack of Diamonds.
TITAN CHALLENGE: THE CARD Assassin X over Charon (USWF) Time: 3:14 This was a good opening match as Krakan’s newest star put away the two-time former USWF Cruiserweight Champ with a plancha on the arena floor.
Ventross over Mike Fortune Time: 1:15 The big ravager got a quick win by blasting Fortune with a “Severed Ties.”
The Ninja Assassins over the Penthouse Punks (USWF) Time: 8:05 The GWF team won this tough tag team battle as Romulus finally went down to a “Double Edged Sword.”
Earth Ladder Match Encubus over Vyper Time: 4:20 Thantos’ son pulled off the upset for his biggest win yet by using the “Maffei Masterlock.”
Rebel Empire over Desolation Factor Time: 4:28 The Colonizer team claimed the win when Rack went down to the “Empite Triumphant.”
Circinus Cell Match USWF Hardcore Champ Mace over GWF Special Matches Champ Draconian Sheik Time: 2:10 In his return to the GWF, Mace dominated this match before winning with “Mace’s Little Helper.”
Falls Count Anywhere Match Code Enforcer Manslaughter over Painmaster (USWF) Time: 3:38 The big masked man scored the pin with a power bomb in the dressing room area.
Stars & Stripes over the Troubleshooters (USWF) with Billy Jo Boxer as referee. Time: 3:18 American Guy got the win with an “American Firepower” on Muss.
Castor Chain Match Euritar over Bloodline Time: 3:41 Euritar used a top rope springboard to claim the victory.
Titan Hardcore Match Rising Sun over Paragon Time: 0:16 Rising Sun scored the pin in record time with a “Sunset Spectacular,” ending the match before it could even really begin.
Ruins of Antilia Match Archon over Blazing Skull Time: 6:45 In the first match this year between these old rivals, Archon used the artificial environment to devastate his opponent. Blazing Skull had to be carried from the arena after the match and may miss the remainder of 2112.
USWF Interstellar Champ the Dominator over GWF Interplanetary Champ Wolf by DQ Time: 1:52 Wolf was quickly disqualified against the Dominator, who has been engaged in a recent feud with Wolf’s son Lycanthrope in the USWF.
Tag Team Lepus Stun Rod Match Theater of Pain (USWF) over TitanAttack Time: 4:24 The Titans could not defend their home turf as Scion Nexus went down to a “Shakespeare.”
Cosmic Cage Match Wrath (USWF) over Thunder Time: 3:04 The most feared cage wrestler of all time put away Thunder in just over three minutes with a “Gladiator Killer.”
Mensa Table Match Colossus (USWF) vs. Terminus Time: 5:20 Colossus blasted his one-time Penthouse Suite teammate with a “Robotic Deathblow” for the win.
Six Man Tag Team Match Malice, Overkill, and Venom (USWF) over Twin Blood and Predator (USWF) Time: 9:02 This was perhaps the best match of the evening, a back and forth contest that ended when Venom hit the “Snakebite” on his USWF rival.
Champion v. Champion Match GWF Champion Mandrill over USWF Champion Jack of Diamonds Time: 4:37 Jack held his own in this match , but Mandrill got the win with a Colonizer Claw Slam.
Titan Challenge Wrap-Up The Challenge was a very successful event once again this year. The six-man battle between the Gladiators and their rivals was a classic, and Rising Sun’s quick win over Paragon delighted the fans on Titan. The most brutal match was Archon’s tremendous beating of Blazing Skull, but the powerhouse Wrath came in a clear second by destroying Thunder in the cage. The USWF stars overall offered up fine performances throughout the card.

COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICADE Since 2096, the GWF has ended its promotions for the year with the Galacticade celebration near the end of December. Galacticade originated at the suggestion of Commander Sam and is held in Los Angeles, California on the planet Earth. The two-day celebration features the achievement awards banquet as well as the final supercard of the year. The final weeks leading up to Galacticade are traditionally filled with incidents and announcements that both set up the supercard and lead into the following year. 2112 was no exception. The following summary highlights the major moments that transpired.
SEVERAL STARS LEAVE GWF AFTER WAR GAMES A number of major GWF stars chose to end their year early after the Rocketmen finished off their 2112 War Games victory. First to go were a number of wrestlers who had joined the GWF at the beginning of 2112 or during the War Games. Keth Vale, Brock Mason, Dillon Mason, Mike “Tank” Abrams, and Stone Mountain all made their exit immediately after the Games ended. Vale and the Mason brothers thanked Lorelai, who brought them into the federation, and their various War Games teammates before leaving. Abrams likewise thanked Lord Nexus and the Titans and offered comments that clearly left the door open for his possible return in the future. All five men were rumored to be joining the new Deep Space Championship Wrestling Federation.
As promised, Vengeance arrived at the conclusion of the Games and took Overkill back to Aethra, leaving only Thunder and Malice as active Aethran wrestlers in the GWF. “Overkill will undergo a much needed cleansing,” the minister of war said. “P3 is already in the process of receiving the most brutal cleansing we have ever given. The Gladiators will have some surprises for the GWF next year.”
Next, Doomsayer, who had left the GWF at the beginning of the War Games, returned to take Genocide away. “I have concluded my research,” Doomsayer said. “I am now prepared to conduct my greatest experiment yet. This one will require some preparation from Genocide, so I need him with me for the next month. But I will return in 2113, and when I do I will have separated Buck Steele and Genocide into different individuals forever.”
Finally, Necros announced that he would leave the federation for the remainder 0f 2112. The count indicated that he would likely return to wrestling in the near future.
TRAINER JIM ANNOUNCES FIRST DSCW CARD On November 30, “Trainer Jim” Powell, interim commissioner of the new Deep Space Championship Wrestling Promotion, announced the first event to be held by his organization.
“With the conclusion of the GWF War Games, we are now ready to move ahead with starting our promotion,” Powell said. “Our first card will be held on December 6 at the Milky Way Cathedral of Polaris. We will also present two more cards this year, on December 11 and December 17, at the same location.
“We will wait until the beginning of 2113 to hold tournaments that will determine our new champions. We currently have twenty four wrestlers under contract, with a few more promised for 2113 when their current obligations with other federations expire. We expect to present exciting matches and great action, and we hope the entire galaxy will be watching.”
[Note: The DSWC will feature primarily wrestlers from Kevin Knipe’s Krazy Kards and Kevin Wible’s NSWA, along with a few bootlegs and other surprises. Watch for a new thread, coming soon, that focuses on the startup of this new federation.]
SURPRISE RETIREMENT AT AWARDS BANQUET The GWF’s annual year-end awards banquet was held at Earth’s Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on December 19, 2112, the night before the Galacticade Supercard. Most of the active GWF wrestlers, managers, and officials attended. Also present were former GWF stars Omega, Raven, Exo-King, Jack of Diamonds, the Incredible Badger, Bounty Hunter, Iron Mane, Quasar, Killer Queen, and others, as well as GWWF Commissioner Sandrisa Tralington, USWF Commissioner Grogan, and USWF Majority Owner Magnus Colby. “Thank you all for coming,” Commissioner Morpheus said as he opened the festivities. We have a lot of business to take care of tonight, and a great card to prepare for tomorrow. So let’s get right to the year-end achievement presentations.” Morpheus then presented the following awards:
Wrestler of the Year: Wolf This was a close call, but the long-time GWF star joined the Rocketmen for the War Games and led them to the championship, and he has currently held the Interplanetary Title since late July. His record for the year was 37-17. Wolf was also the winner of this award in 2090 and 2095 and shared the award with Spike in 2099. Runners-up: 1. Thunder (GWF Heavyweight Champion from the beginning of the year until July 15 and had a 35-21 record); 2. Prodigy (current Light Heavyweight Champion and a 38-16 record); 3. Mandrill (won the GWF Heavyweight Championship twice in 2112, is the current champion, and has a 38-22 record for the year).
Tag Team of the Year: Twin Blood This one was an easy choice. Dreggs and Sleeze have been GWF Tag Team Champions since May 21, were members of the War Games Champion Rocketmen, and had a terrific 36-13 record. The brothers also won this award in 2108 and 2109. Runners-up: 1. Rebel Empire (held the GWF Tag Team Titles from March to May and had a fine 28-12 record despite several injuries to Nefarus); TitanAttack (Tag Team Champions for the first three months of the year and helped the Fighting Titans to a second place finish in the War Games with a 28-23 record).
Top Newcomer: Mensar Held the War Games Singles Title briefly and put together a solid 26-1 record.
When the awards were finished, Morpheus turned the microphone over to Killer Queen. “I’ve been asked to make this year’s hall of fame induction,” the Queen said, “maybe because no one else wanted to. It certainly is a controversial choice. The man we are inducting was never popular; in fact, he is one of the most hated men in GWF history. I don't like him much myself, even though we were once partners. His list of heinous acts is too long to recount, and he betrayed and injured not only his enemies but his own partners and managers.
"But that does not change his accomplishments: a former GWF Heavyweight Champion, a three-time Interplanetary Champion, a three-time Interplanetary Tag Team Champion, Heavy Metal Champion, two-time Brass Knuckles Champion, three-time Three Man Tag Team Champion, runner-up in the Galaxy Cup Singles Tournament in 2089, and two-time winner of the Galaxy Cup Tag Team Tournament. That’s a resume few people can match, whether you like him or not. Our hall of fame inductee for 2112 is Bishop Hell." The audience clapped politely, though hardly enthusiastically, as the Bishop received his award. Then Morpheus surprised everyone by calling the Ninja Assassins to the stage. Daemon took the microphone. “We asked for this time because we have an announcement to make,” the masked man said. “We’ve been here a long time. Hydrax and I are one of the winningest teams in GWF history. We’ve decided that the time has come for us to say goodbye. Tomorrow will be our last card as members of the GWF. Thank you everyone for all of the great years. It’s been fun.” The Ninjas left the stage, receiving an enthusiastic ovation from the crowd. Finally the commissioner took back the microphone. “Well, that was unexpected,” he said. “Congratulations to the Ninja Assassins on all of their great years in the GWF, and best of luck to them. And congratulations to all of our award winners. Thank you all for coming. We’ll see you at the supercard tomorrow.”
GALACTICADE SUPERCARD PREVIEW GWF Heavyweight Champion Mandrill defends against Archon Interplanetary Champion Wolf defends against Thunder GWF Tag Team Champions Twin Blood defend against The Ravagers Light Heavyweight Champion Prodigy defends against Assassin X Special Matches Champion Draconian Sheik defends against Vyper And much more . . .
