This is just the MMA version of the POW. I'll run it in real time so to speak. There will probably be 2-4 events a month with interviews and articles inbetween events for hype. It'll work a lot like the UFC does. A lot of drama and trash talking, maybe some events getting out of hand but no real heel turns or inring attacks.
Also keep in mind that unless stated otherwise that all POW action will take place inside a caged octagon like the UFC. Here are the belts that will be fought for:
POW Super-Heavyweight POW Heavyweight POW Cruiserweight POW Women's
Also down the road I'll introduce an Open Weight Championship. But I want to get the rules down really well first. So enjoy.

POW 01/03/2122:
live from Antilles Air Dome, Antilles
Lawless Report: President Prodigy came out to start the show and talked about the tournament for the POW Heavyweight Championship. He said they ranked all of the heavyweights based on skill and how they had been performing in training and sparring. Cypher, Saboteur, Shylock and Raze were all given automatic bids to the tournament based on the rankings. Tonight there will be 4 qualifier matches to fill out the last 4 spots in the tournament. He said to enjoy the show and that he hoped MMA would really catch on in the new POW.
Heavyweight Tournament Qualifier: Absalom KOs Mike Fortune w/ punches and elbows to head
Lawless Report: Fortune just couldn't find an answer to Absalom here. They battled in the clinch and on the mat most of the match which surprised me. A fairly unskilled show of brute force. Absalom finally got Fortune caught and pounded him with fists and elbows until the ref stopped the match.
Heavyweight Tournament Qualifier: Jack of Diamonds KOs Mad Jester w/ mounted punches
Lawless Report: A lot of standing and punching for the early goings of this match. Mad Jester surprised many by looking very competent on his feet. Jack managed to catch him with a leaping elbow punch to take things to the mat. Jack completely outclassed the Jester here and earned a KO with mounted punches.
Heavyweight Tournament Qualifier: Indigo submits Excalibur w/ an arm lock
Lawless Report: Indigo looked great on his feet but totally outclassed everywhere else. Excalibur really laid a beating on the member of the True Way. Indigo showed a lot of heart by taking a lot of punishment before finally locking on with an arm lock and forcing Excalibur to tap out. This match shows that all you need is one good move and you can beat just about anyone.
Heavyweight Tournament Qualifier: Nero TKOs Taurine after a kick to the knee
Lawless Report: Boy did these guys seem totally lost out there. They just seemed to flail around until Nero caught Taurine with a kick to the knee. Taurine started limping around pretty badly so the doctors checked on him and declared that he was unable to continue. This match was what a lot of skeptics have been talking about with the new MMA format. Some guys just don't get it. I'll keep you updated on Taurine's status as more info becomes available.

Lawless Report #1: 01/05/2122
Hello and welcome to the first edition of the Lawless Report. I'm here to bring you all the news and notes from the POW. So let's see how the first POW MMA show effected the landscape for the future.
For starters, please stop e-mailing me about how terrible the Nero vs. Taurine match was. I know and I mentioned it during the show report. Neither guy is anywhere near being ready to be in the octagon and it really showed. Patience is going to be needed with a lot of these guys for now. Most of them are doing the best they can with a couple months of training. The seasoned MMA guys are the ones that got into the tournament to begin with.
Speaking of Taurine. He strained his knee during his match is going to miss a few weeks. He shouldn't miss any of the shows that are coming up. I caught up with him and he had this to say: "I hate this MMA crap, I'm a tag team wrestler not an MMA guy." When commissioner Jack Hood got wind of this he was furious. He said "That Taurine is a spoiled brat. I'm going to have te toughen him up a wee bit. When Taurine is cleared to fight again, he'll be facing me in the ring." Looks like Taurine upset the wrong person.
The Heavyweight Tournament is set in stone and here are the brackets:
Saboteur 0-0 vs. Jack of Diamonds 1-0 Cypher 0-0 vs. Nero 1-0 Raze 0-0 vs. Absalom 1-0 Shylock 0-0 vs. Indigo 1-0
Those are some interesting first round matches if you ask me. The veterans are all facing off with one of the newer MMA guys and I think we could see a few upsets here.
Let's start with Indigo vs. Shylock. Indigo's striking game looked amazing at the show. He really dominated Excalibur while they were standing. Some of his strikes were so hard that I think Indigo could just punch his way through this tournament. He sucks in the clinch and on the ground but boy does he hit well. My guess is that Shylock will keep this on the ground as much as possible.
Saboteur vs. Jack of Diamonds. Honestly, I think Jack is going to take a win here. Saboteur is getting a lot of hype here but let's be real for a moment. We've never seen Saboteur in an MMA fight. He's all hype from his handlers right now. We've seen Jack in action and he was a very solid fighter.
Cypher vs. Nero. Boy, I'm not looking forward to this match. Nero's win over Taurine was pretty pathetic by anyone's standards. Cypher on the other hand is one of the best MMA fighters currently in the POW. I think this one will be total domination on the part of Cypher.
Raze vs. Absalom. Absalom is kind of awkward out there. He's not very sure of himself yet. Raze has seemed pretty confident in training and I think he'll take this one.
That's all for now. See you after the next show.

POW Heavyweight Championship Tournament: 01/10/2122
live from Pleiades Cluster Center, Pleiades
Heavyweight Tournament Round 1: Saboteur submits Jack of Diamonds w/ a triangle arm bar
Lawless Report: Jack gave a pretty valiant effort here. He managed to get Saboteur into a few almost KOs and submissions but Saboteur managed to avoid the loss. Saboteur got Jack down with some heavy shots and locked on a triangle arm bar to get the win.
Heavyweight Tournament Round 1: Cypher submits Nero w/ a keylock
Lawless Report: Nero looked a lot better here. He went move for move with Cypher on the mat. Nero almost ended the match with some brutal elbows in the corner of the cage but in the end Cypher got a keylock and moved on in the tournament.
Heavyweight Tournament Round 1: Raze KOs Absalom w/ mounted punches
Lawless Report: Raze looked great here and dominated every aspect of this match. Absalom managed to fight out of a guillotine choke but then got knocked out by the mounted punches that followed. Tough loss for Absalom.
Heavyweight Tournament Round 1: Shylock KOs Indigo w/ an overhand right
Lawless Report: Indigo came out and knew his only chance was a KO. This was a total slugfest with both men getting in some nasty shots. Shylock finally won the war in what has probably been the best MMA match to date in the POW. Indigo has nothing to be ashamed of here.
Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Saboteur submits Cypher w/ a gyaku ude garame
Lawless Report: Cypher was really off of his game here. He just didn't have an answer for Saboteur striking, clinching or grappling. Saboteur finally got Cypher into the gyaku ude garame and secured the submission and a trip to the final.
Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Shylock KOs Raze w/ a sternum punch
Lawless Report: This was a good back and forth match. Shylock had a decided edge in striking and in the end that's what got him the win.
Heavyweight Tournament Final: Shylock KOs Saboteur w/ a thigh kick to become the 1st POW Heavyweight Champion
Lawless Report: A really quick match crowns the first ever POW Heavyweight Champion in MMA. They looked pretty even and kept it standing the whole time. Saboteur looked really surprised when he woke up and saw Shylock had the Heavyweight Title belt around his waist. I smell a rematch.

Awesome start to your fed! Keep it up! And I agree that Nero vs. Taurine doesn't have the makings of an epic, but I like how you made the most of it with Jack Hood's involvement. That's the way to book!

That's the way to book! Yeah, they just kind of got into the clinch and then proceeded to do nothing for the whole match until Taurine got hurt and couldn't continue.

POW Heavyweight Champion Shylock Press Conference:
Shylock and Splatter sit down for some Q&A with the press.
Reporter: Who do you think will face you in your first title defense?
Shylock: Haha! Eager as always. I just won the belt a couple of minutes ago. I haven't really thought that far ahead yet. I'm sure Prodigy and Jack Hood have a list of possible contenders already.
Lawless: I know there's been a lot of bad blood between Saboteur and you on the pro wrestling side of the POW. How will that spill out into the MMA side of things?
Shylock: I'm sure you haven't seen the last of us in the octagon together. Saboteur isn't going to accept defeat in any shape or form. This belt is like wearing a big target around my waist. But this isn't pro wrestling. There's not going to be run ins or backstage fights. We'll settle this in the cage.
Reporter: Are you going to head right back to training or will you take a few days off to celebrate your win?
Shylock: I need a few days to heal. I fought in three matches tonight and I'm a little banged up.
Splatter: We intend to start some lighter training in about a week and slowly reintroduce the heavier stuff.
Shylock: Thank you all for coming. I'm going to go enjoy my new championship belt.

Lawless Report #2: 01/12/2122
I might as well start things off and say congratulations to the new POW Heavyweight Champion Shylock. He defeated Indigo, Raze and Saboteur on his way to being crowned the first every MMA champion. Shylock showed an impressive balance between his striking and grappling game. Really, I think he was by far the best entrant in the tournament and he deserves the belt around his waist.
Excalibur has been fired up since his defeat at the hands of Indigo. He recently commented "I dominated my match with Indigo and lost to a lucky arm bar. Nero on the other hand looks completely out of place out there and gets a shot at the Heavyweight belt. That's a load of crap if you ask me. Nero's a chump." When Commissioner Jack Hood got wind of these complaints he was quick to act. "If Excalibur thinks so lowly of Nero then he won't mind facing him in a little MMA match then. Let's see if he's as good as he thinks he is."
Now, let's move on to the other divisions of the POW. We've still got three belts that are floating around vacant. The Super Heavyweight tournament is next up for the POW. I haven't been provided with brackets yet but Puma, Rubicon, Gunnar, Gordo, Silas and Mensar will all be involved. I'm not keen on this division. I think the Super Heavyweight style is too slow and plodding for my tastes. I'd much rather stick to the faster Heavyweights and Cruiserweights. I would say look for Puma or Rubicon to win the tournament.
That's all for this week. I'll be back when we have a new Super Heavyweight Champion.

POW Super Heavyweight Title Tournament: 01/17/2122
live from Pleiades Cluster Center, Pleiades
Super Heavyweight Quarter-Final: Rubicon KOs Gordo w/ a belly to belly falling slam
Lawless Report: Rubicon sailed to a pretty easy victory here. He kept Gordo grounded on the mat and just pounded away at him until he secured the win with a massive slam.
Super Heavyweight Quarter-Final: Hanuman KOs Mensar w/ a modified uranage
Lawless Report: Mensar dominated this bout. But this just goes to show that one move is all it takes to put anyone away. The unlikely Hanuman moves on to the semi-finals.
Super Heavyweight Quarter-Final: Puma KOs Silas w/ mounted palm strikes
Lawless Report: Silas impressed here. He and Puma put on a clinic on the mat. They both escaped a number of submission holds. The ref stood them up at one point and Puma responded by pounding Silas until he captured the KO victory.
Super Heavyweight Quarter-Final: Gunnar KOs J.J. Smooth w/ a right, left, right combo
Lawless Report: This one was over in a matter of seconds. Gunnar nailed Smooth with a couple of combos and this was over in a matter of seconds.
Super Heavyweight Semi-Final: Hanuman TKOs Rubicon w/ savage punches
Lawless Report: The unlikely Hanuman is in the finals! This was a back and forth affair on the mat and in the clinch. Hanuman stunned onlookers as he went toe to toe with Rubicon in every step of the game. Hanuman hit a series of savage punches and Rubicon was opened up really bad. The ref checked the cut and determined the blood was obstructing Rubicon's vision and stopped the match.
Super Heavyweight Sem-Final: Gunnar KOs Puma w/ a right to head, left to stomach
Lawless Report: This was a solid back and forth match as Puma tried to keep it on the mat and Gunnar was trying to keep it standing. Gunnar finally caught Puma and secured a spot in the final.
Super Heavyweight Final: Gunnar submits Hanuman w/ a guillotine choke to become the 1st POW Super Heavyweight Champion
Lawless Report: The Cinderella story ended here as Gunnar was just too much for the unlikely Hanuman. Gunnar slapped on the guillotine choke and earned the submission victory in relatively quick fashion.
