I really like the addition of the pre-fight interviews.

Nice to see Freakshow crush his first opponent in his debut. Hope he steamrolls to the title. (of course I'm biased )

Conundrum just showed the entire POW just who he was and what he was about by taking that tournament and capturing the gold.

Looking forward to teh Cypher/Conundrum fight.

Odyssey: “…a new battle.”

Together: “I will not let my other defeat me.”

Omni: “I know your weakness…”

Odyssey: “…like I know myself.”

Together: “I will defeat you.”

(Odyssey leaves but Omni pauses & looks back to the camera.)

Omni: “I will win. I must.”


OMNI vs. ODYSSEY
::RND 1::
- This was a brutal round for both men. Omni was knocked down twice & Odyssey was downed once, but Odyssey’s chin was spit wide open. Omni continued to press & locked on 2 chokes but the blood let Odyssey slip away easily. Even though the round was close, Omni was the clear winner. (10-9 Omni)

::RND 2::
- Odyssey came out firing but Omni blasted him when he went for the takedown. Odyssey finally got the takedown with a back hip throw & rocked Omni with a cross elbow strike. Omni responded with a wicked knee strike to the chin & scrambled away Odyssey tried to staunch the blood flow from his chin & drove forward out of sheer anger & Omni nailed him with a super kick for the finish.

WINNER: Omni by KO (super kick) (4:48 RND 2)



RAVEN vs. MORBID
::RND 1::
- Raven welcomed Morbid to the POW with a shoot, double leg & slam & ended it quickly with a double hammer fist.

WINNER: Raven by KO (double hammer fist) (:47 RND 1)

Raven: “I’m back. (crowd pop) Just want to say thank you to Jack Hood for giving me this opportunity. Before I go I’ve got a little business to attend to; I know it’s a little early to say this but Saboteur: I’m coming for that Title brother.”

(crowd pops)



SHYLOCK vs. INDIGO
::RND 1::
- Shylock moved in & out, striking at will. Indigo avoided any serious damage until Shylock stuffed a single leg & hammered down elbows that drove Indigo to the mat. Shylock dropped into north-south position & continued to rain down elbows until Indigo secured an armlock. Shylock broke the hold with a crushing hammer fist as time expired in the round. (10-9 Shylock)

::RND 2::
- Indigo tried an uppercut but Shylock avoided it easily & hit a thigh kick in response. Shylock tried a takedown but Indigo stuffed it. He tried a belly to belly throw but Indigo drilled his head with punches & drove Shylock to the ground. Shylock rolled Indigo right into a kimura & it was all over.

WINNER: Shylock by SUB (kimura) (1:19 RND 2)



Freakshow: “I’ve watched film on Hanuman. He is next on my list of examples. If he does against me what he did in the first round against Zealot; he might just die from the punishment.”

Camera switches to Hanuman.

Hanuman: “That freak is looking to make an example out of me. He underestimates me & my ability & I will use that against him.”

Camera switches back to Hanuman.

Freakshow: “The plan is simple: I’m going to get into the cage; I’m going to pound on Hanuman repeatedly until he is either unconscious from the beating or dead. Nothing is going to stop me from destroying everyone in my path.”

Camera switches back to Hanuman.

Hanuman: “I’m going to take the fight as it comes to me. I want to be flexible in there so I don’t start looking for specific patterns. I want to react to what he presents me.”



FREAKSHOW vs. HANUMAN
::RND 1::
- When the cage closed Freakshow charged Hanuman with a maniac clothesline, Hanuman ducked under & drove him face first into the cage, picked him up for a uranage & spun to drop him head first onto the top of the cage. Freakshow’s head exploded like a melon & the ref stopped the fight immediately.

WINNER: Hanuman by TKO (modified uranage) (:08 RND 1) (snake eyes)

Hanuman: “What do you think of that you fing bastard!?! When you heal up we’ll do it again.”



SECTARIAN vs. TK
::RND 1::
- TK opened with a big shot but Sectarian rolled away & lured TK into top position. Sectarian rolled & cinched in a neck crank & then bloodied his nose with a hammer fist but couldn’t finish him. TK scrambled & landed a stiff jab in the final minute that dropped Sectarian. This was a REALLY close round. (10-9 Sectarian)

::RND 2::
- TK hit another stiff jab & Sectarian again flopped to the mat but this time swept TK’s feet from under him & timed a rolling hammer fist perfectly to bounce TK’s head off the mat for the knockout.

WINNER: Sectarian by KO (rolling hammer fist) (:41 RND 2)



MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT
SABOTEUR ( c ) vs. NIGHTMARE
::RND 1::
- This one wasn’t even close as Saboteur destroyed Nightmare completely. Nightmare hit 2 elbow uppercuts & when Saboteur evaded the third & knocked him into the cage with a spinning back fist he was never the same. Saboteur drove him into the mat with an uchi mata & then proceeded to school him for 3 minutes on the mat before locking on a triangle arm bar & trying to break his arm. The ref had to physically break Saboteur’s hold because he wasn’t going to release it.

WINNER & STILL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION: Saboteur by SUB (triangle arm bar) (3:45 RND 1)

Saboteur: “Raven, you come back here & you haven’t learned anything in your time away. You should know better by now that I’ve got much better things to do than school you yet again on fighting technique. If you want a shot at the Middleweight Title you will have to earn it.”

(crowd pop)

Saboteur: “Shylock, with your win tonight that puts you next in my sights at the Superfight. We have unfinished business & I’m coming to collect.”

Raven wasted no time in putting Mobid away. I could just see the double hammerfist slamming into his skull.

Damn those dice! Well thats the nature of the beast. hope freakshow can get the ball rolling again when he comes back form injury.

I'm picking Shylock to take the belt away from Saboteur.

MINOTAUR vs. PUMA
::RND 1::
- Minotaur absolutely dominated the stand-up & pummeled Puma relentlessly. Puma took shot after shot after shot, pulled guard & rolled into a crucifix choke for the surprising submission.

WINNER: Puma by SUB (crucifix choke) (2:45 RND 1)



GUNNAR vs. SILAS
::RND 1::
- Silas started strong; got the quick takedown & locked on the STF but Gunnar slipped away, took his back & started driving knees into Silas’ ribs. The barrage of strikes lasted over 3 minutes & Gunnar left no doubt who was in control of the fight with a final knee that left Silas dazed on the mat. (10-9 Gunnar)

::RND 2::
- Silas was shaky coming out & Gunnar dropped him immediately with a spinning back fist.

WINNER: Silas by KO (spinning back fist) (:10 RND 2)

Mensar: “My plan is to slam him repeatedly & exploit the fact that he is vulnerable to submissions. That is how I’m going to reclaim my Title.”

Rubicon: “Quiet now! (he smacks himself in the head repeatedly) Rubicon focus now! Rubicon fight must!”



WRAITH vs. BENEDICT
::RND 1::
- Benedict scored first with a counter-punch combo that sent Wraith backwards into the cage. When Benedict came in, Wraith scored a leg reap takedown & ground out the rest of the round in top position. (10-9 Wraith)

::RND 2::
- Benedict smashed Wraith with a snap kick to the side of his head & followed with an uppercut that sprayed blood across the front row spectators.

WINNER: Benedict by KO (uppercut) (:16 RND 2)



PEGASUS vs. RAZE
::RND 1::
- Raze controlled early & stifled Pegasus at every turn. Pegasus won a scramble, scored a headlock takedown & went to work on the ground. Pegasus rocked him 3 times with cross elbow strikes & slipped to his back for the rear naked choke finish.

WINNER: Pegasus by SUB (rear naked choke) (4:38 RND 1)

Cypher: “I plan on taking him to the mat & submitting him just like everyone else. His angle is the clinch; I’m better everywhere else. I’ll submit him; simple as that.”

Conundrum: “I hope he thinks he’ll submit me! (laughs) I changed more than he obviously realizes. I’ve waited too long for my revenge; this is only act one.”



PUMA vs. GUNNAR
::RND 1::
- Gunnar came out swinging & dropped Puma with an inside elbow & rocked him with even more elbow shots but got careless; Puma caught him in a crucifix choke, just like Minotaur & submitted him too.

WINNER: Puma by SUB (crucifix choke) (1:01 RND 1)

Euritar: “My fight with Akuma is going to blow the roof off the arena. We are at the top of the best weight class in the POW right now. Akuma has a lot of talent & he caught me in a choke that I hadn’t prepared for. This time it will be a different fight. This time I will come out on top.”

Akuma: “Euritar was a great Champion. I’m honored to have fought him to win the Title. I hope that I can be as good of a Champion & represent my dojo well.”

(Image shifts back to Euritar)

Euritar: “It should be obvious to everyone that both of us like to throw leather. Akuma will find out how Merciless I can be on the mat this time around. Not only am I going to beat him; I’m going to make him tap.”

Akuma: “I’ll happily trade punches with him. He might have knocked me down but he couldn’t knock me out. This time, I’m going for the knockout; his chin is suspect.”



BENEDICT vs. PEGASUS
::RND 1::
- This was one-sided & ugly for Benedict. Pegasus countered every single strike & took him to the mat at will. Benedict survived several cross elbow strikes & gave up to the rear naked choke. Pegasus looked very good in this fight.

WINNER: Pegasus by SUB (rear naked choke) (2:13 RND 1)

Shylock: “This isn’t the first time I’ve face Saboteur. The only difference this time is that he has the Title & I’m going to take it.”

Saboteur: “I’ve got a few surprises in store for Shylock. I’ve been waiting for this fight since I returned to the POW. To think the time is almost here is exhilarating.”

Shylock: “The plan is the same every time we fight. I’ll ram my fist down his throat; he will dodge & weave & try to take me down. I’ve been working hard on making sure that his advantage isn’t as big as his ego wants him to believe it is.”

(Image shifts back to Saboteur)

Saboteur: “Look, this is my 10th Title defense. This isn’t something new; these are two old friends who are going to do their best to destroy each other. This isn’t going to be a nice fight; it’s going to be all out until one of us puts the other down. Judging by who holds the Title & what he’s done to keep it; I’m winning this fight.”



HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT
PUMA vs. PEGASUS
::RND 1::
- Puma brutalized Pegasus in an offensive onslaught & opened a serious gash over his eye; he made it worse later with another brutal flurry. Hanging on by a thread, Pegasus scrambled away & scored a takedown but Puma reversed him into a vicious neck crank & transitioned to another crucifix choke. The crowd went wild expecting a third submission using the same hold but Pegasus slipped away back to his feet. Pegasus went for a high kick but got caught by a haymaker for the dramatic knockout.

WINNER & NEW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Puma by KO (haymaker) (4:03 RND 1)

Puma: “I’ve trained hard on my submission grappling & you saw tonight that I’m fierce on the mat. What nobody knew was that I have knockout power as well. I’m laying down the challenge right now; I want Wraith at DECIMATION! Wraith is a former Super-Heavyweight Champion who dropped down to fight in the Heavyweight Division. It’s a fight I wanted in the tournament but didn’t get. I want to prove to everyone that there is only one Champion in the Heavyweight Division; that Champion is the wildcat Puma!”

Awesome to see Puma win the Heavyweight Championship.

Lord All Mighty! I what I wouldn't have given to have been sitting in the front row during the fight between Benedict and Wraith with that incredible blood splatter.

I was just trying to build for my SuperFight: Decimation that is coming next.

I'm glad that I could add a little character development to this. ;D
