Live Feed from the Centra Palladium - Centra Prime



Static fills the screen as “Warzone" by Slayer begins to play. As the music kicks in the static is torn away and clips of aCe action recapping the Battle for the Essence of Centra tournaments are shown. The vignette comes to a close with Murdok celebrating in the ring with Decaying Factor after his Crusade Faction swept both tournaments for the Essence Championships. The camera fades in on the packed Centra Palladium where the fans are already clamoring for action. The Centra faithful have packed themselves in one on top of another, leaving the Palladium standing room only!


“Pray for Plagues” cues up over the PA and the smell of death and rotting flesh begins to permeate the arena signaling the arrival of Murdok, Harvester of Plagues. Murdok steps out from the back to a hardy round of boos from the Centra faithful. He wears the glowing essence title around his waist and surveys the arena with a grim, tooth filled smile. He is followed out by Godsend, Essence Tag Team Champions Decaying Factor and his undead bride Trisis.

Murdok : IT HAS BEGUN! My reign as ruler of this dimension is only in it’s infancy, but the putrid stench of my ascension cannot be ignored. My Crusade wears the aCe Essence titles - your most valued prize. And we are here tonight to offer an olive branch to all those who would be our allies. I ask you to come join us. Because I promise you that if you refuse to come willingly that your death’s will be slow and painful. So much so that even Lucifer himself would cringe at the horrors I’ll subject you to. (The crowd now begins to toss trash into the ring) I have offered you this, and yet still you show your disdain! Sickening creatures you humans are…with all your hope. It disgusts me. Your heroes are but mere puppets….they dangle from my very string, marionettes to act out my play - THEY ARE AT MY DISCRETION! They survive only because I allow them to….but yet you humans still believe that your Ramparts have a chance. Did you not see what happened to your heroes in the Battle for the Essence?!?! THEY WERE DEFEATED - DRIVEN DOWN BEFORE ME AND MY CRUSADE!!!!! I have harvested this holy war for one purpose - to finally realize my destiny and swallow this dimension whole. Yet….the Council still believes that they have some sort of control over me. I only agreed to the terms in order to capture the Essence, and now that I have it around my waist - their “rules” mean nothing to me…NOTHING! They have decided that I’m to defend my title tonight, but there has been a change of plans. There will be no title defense. Not tonight…not ever! I have the Essence and this company is officially being held hostage!!!! At my mercy…which none of you will be granted.

Suddenly there is a commotion in the crowd and the house lights drop!!! The lights stay down for several moments and when they finally come back up the ring area is in chaos. Shepard has Murdok in his clutches and holds a wooden stake to his throat as Aegis pulls Trisis from the ring kicking and screaming. Lance At - Las appears on the entrance ramp, mic in hand. Decaying Factor moves in to help Murdok as Godsend scrambles to stop Aegis from carrying Trisis away. Lance At-Las barks out a warning.

At-Las : Don’t make a move or Shepard ends Murdok’s miserable existence!!

Godsend and Decaying Factor stop dead in their tracks. It’s a standstill.

At - Las : Murdok - if you think we’re just going to sit idly by and watch as you plunge this Dimension into the 7th layer of Hell - YOU’RE EVEN MORE DILLUSIONAL THAN I THOUGHT! We’re here to take back what’s ours - to take back the life you’ve stolen!

At-Las speech is interrupted as two shaggy looking corpses stumble out from behind the curtain and jump him! During the brief confusion, Murdok breaks away from Shepard’s grip and tosses him aside! Rot and Ruined charge in and level Shepard with a double clothesline sending the vagabond priest tumbling out of the ring!!!! Aegis turns his attention to the two corpses who are mugging At-Las on the ramp, and Trisis breaks free from him, biting him on the arm in the process. Trisis tears away a huge chunk of flesh on Aegis’ arm and blood sprays everywhere!!! Aegis screams out in pain and drops to the floor clutching at his arm, trying to stop all the blood that is pouring uncontrollably from the disgusting bite wound! Murdok in the commotion orders Decaying Factor and Godsend to exit, grabbing Trisis on his way, leaving the Ramparts in disarray around ringside.

On the ramp At-Las is able to fight free from the zombies and is stopped in his tracks as a mask of horror comes over his face at the sight of one of his zombie attackers. The two zombies retreat back behind the curtain as At-Las’ face grows white and sick. The Ramparts are left beaten in front of a shocked Centra audience who sits in silence. The silence becomes a defining echo that fills every inch of the Palladium. The camera cuts to the back where Murdok and company are retreating to their locker room. He’s in a rage.

Murdok : What was that?!?! How does that happen?! I won’t stand for this Godsend..how dare they….HOW DARE THEY! Their pathetic rescue attempt has failed…but they did managed to embarrass us! Tonight…they’ll pay…tonight I’ll add insult to injury! Huh --? (noticing the camera following them) Get that camera out of my face!!! Rot..Ruined…take care of it!

Rot and Ruined rush forward and attack the camera on Murdok‘s order, sending the screen to static.


-cut back to ringside-



1.Grovel vs. Rouser

Fans didn’t seem too interested in this match other then for the fact that there was a Rampart involved. Grovel appeared less interested then the fans and Rouser had no trouble handling him. Rouser easily pinned Grovel with XENOPHOBIA.

Winner : Rouser


With Cremator already in the ring, Nemean comes out with what appears to be a homemade version of the original CWF Heavyweight title around his waist. The crowd pops big for the young Ravager as he enters the ring and displays the title for everyone to see. The ring announcer introduces Cremator and then begins to announce Nemean, but is cut off by the overzealous Ravager who steals the mic away.

Nemean : Weighing in tonight at 235 lbs from the Ravager Mothership… I am YOUR CWF Heavyweight champion…welcome fans to the one…the only…NEMEAN SHOW!!!!

2.Cremator vs. Nemean

Cremator immediately goes on the attack catching Nemean off guard, who seems shocked by Cremator’s early aggressiveness. Nemean is able to rebound from Cremator’s disgusting finisher, the CREMATOR CLAW and gain momentum. With the fans clearly behind him he goes on to hit a series of moves inspired by the former stars of the CWF. With Cremator clearly on the ropes and reeling, Nemean goes for his big move, THE HUNGER STRIKE, which successfully allows him to score the pin. The ref raises his hand, and when the ring announcer comes in to announce the winner, Nemean instructs him to call him the CWF Heavyweight Champion.

Winner : Nemean



The camera cuts to the ROC locker room where the team sits in silence contemplating where to go next after the nights recent events. Lance At-Las breaks the silence, as if finishing his train of thought out loud.
At - Las :…. It was Meteor..I know it was!

Lance At-Las’ comments get the attention of everyone in the room. At-Las seems to retreat back inward to his thoughts as Rouser hops down from the table he’s sitting on.

Rouser : How can you be so sure…? I mean, how can you tell?!?!

At-Las looks up at the inquiring Rouser and then seems to stare vacantly at him.

At-Las : His eyes….


Shepard : Lance is right Rouser..that was indeed Meteor…or what’s lefts of him anyway. I doubt anything remains of the man called Meteor inside that rotting shell.

At-Las : No Sheppard - trapped maybe…but he’s not completely lost, not yet. We can bring him back along with Trisis…

Shepard : We’re treading a very dangerous path here Lance…Murdok has turned them into mindless flesh eating monsters. I’ve faced hundreds during my travels, and all of them just as lifeless and rotten as the last. How could they be any different?!

Aegis : Lance is right Sheppard - we can’t abandon them now. The ROC has one purpose, and that’s to purge this Dimension of Murdok and his minions. But we must remember our friends…and our lovers. No, we won’t turn our backs on them yet…not until we’ve did all we can to save them.

Scorch stands up from his seat in a fury, interrupting Aegis. He pulls the cigar out from his mouth and tosses it to the floor, stomping on it to put it out.

Scorch : How do you s’pose we do that Aegis?!?! After that botched rescue attempt I’m figuring we don’t have much clout ‘round here anymore. I say screw these “rescue missions”, lets just bust down that freaks door and clobber em!

Scorch clenches his fists tight and snarls as if ready to attack. Shepard places his hand on Scorch’s shoulder.

Shepard : Settle down my friend. There is a time and place for that, and you’ll certainly get your chance, but now is not the time. We’ve just experienced our first real defeat in this battle and we must not be haste to jump to further action until we’ve taken the time to regroup and figure things out a little.

Aegis : He‘s right Scorch. I appreciate your enthusiasm though, it will definitely come in handy when …(Stops mid-sentence cringing in pain as he grasps his arm. The blood soaking through the freshly applied bandage)

Shepard : The wound is still bothering you?!

Aegis nods.

Shepard : Then the infection is beginning the spread. We need to hurry and contain it. We can speak about these matters later, we need to get you to the doctor…

Aegis : After the show…Lance and I still have business tonight. I’ll be okay until then. I promise.

-Cut back to ringside-


3.Darkness Falls vs. The Specialists

The Specialists seem a bit distracted to start the match, but quickly shake off the cobwebs and get to work. Jakyll and Krypt clearly catch Shepard and Scorch off guard with their efficiency as tag partners, using double team moves whenever they get the chance. Scorch, having had enough, single handedly takes over the match for his team, and with Shepard’s support, is able to steer it into the Specialist’s favor. Late in the match, Shepard isolates Kyrpt in one corner with his Turnbuckle Tabernacle while Scorch isolates Jakyll in another and delivers a series of shoulder charges. This sets up the Primus tag team for Shepard, who hits his top rope crossed flying elbow drop (EXORCISM) onto Kyrpt and Jakyll who have been laid out on top of one another by Scorch. Scorch quickly rolls up Krypt as Shepard rolls up Jakyll and the Specialists score the victory via double pinfall.

4.Flatliner w/Warfare vs. Ruined w/Rot

Hard hitting contest between Flatliner and Ruined that sees repeated interference from both wrestler’s tag team partner. Flatliner botches his SHOCK AND AWE finisher and attempts to make up for it with a Double Arm DDT, but the failed move takes a lot out of him, and Ruined is able to reverse the DDT and drop him on his head with a move Murdok calls Ruination. Flatliner scrambles to regain control, but it’s too late - the gigantic Ruined is all over him. Flatliner scrambles from the ring, but disoriented, escapes to the wrong side of the ring and right into the clutches of Rot who proceeds to beat him further!! Warfare comes to help and the match quickly begins to disintegrate into a wild brawl. The ref tries to order Flatliner and Ruined back into the ring, but it’s no use. Having had enough, the ref calls for the bell and declares the match a no contest.

NO CONTEST


With it obvious that he won’t be able to restore order by himself, the ref calls to the back for security. Security responds quickly, as if already on standby and races out to ringside in an attempt to separate the two teams. The massive zombies, Rot and Ruined throw the security members around like rag dolls in their attempt to get at Warfare and Scorch. More security floods out and Rot and Ruined continue to plow through them without regard. The scene is one of complete chaos as more then a dozen security members have been trampled by the rampaging Decaying Factor. Meanwhile security has been able to escort both Warfare and Flatliner to the back. With the situation at ringside growing worse, Centra police are sent out to subdue the crazed zombies who are now purposely attacking security and fans at ringside!



The show takes a brief intermission to clean up the mess at ringside and remove the bodies. When the show comes back from the break, Ventross is already in the ring awaiting his opponent. Rankor steps out from the back sans entrance music wearing a neck brace. He has a mic.

Rankor : Sorry to disappoint you old buddy…but there has been a change of plans for tonight’s match. It seems that at the Battle for the Essence of Centra I suffered whiplash, and my doctors have advised me against competing tonight against you.

Ventross seems to go into a rage and threatens to charge out after Rankor.

Rankor : Now before you go all crazy and storm out here after me, let me warn you, that any such act would be in strict violation of the council’s ruling on this matter and you’ll be suspended. We don’t want that now do we?!! But hey, tell you what, since we go way back I’ve found you a replacement opponent. Think of it as a consolation prize…..

Ventross, finally hearing enough charges out of the ring after Rankor . Paganax suddenly bursts out from behind the curtain and stops Ventross dead in his tracks as the two collide in the aisle! A wild brawl erupts between the two that quickly spills into the crowd.

Rankor : Hey - what are you waiting for?!?! Ring the bell!!!


5.Ventross vs. Paganax

The bell sounds and the match gets started outside the ring in the first row of the crowd. Fans are sent scattering as the two brawl all the way to the back of the Palladium, mangling chairs and fans on their way. The two wrestlers fight up the steps onto the lower balcony, sending chairs and fans alike flying everywhere! Ventross grabs hold of a loose steel chair and attempts to fend off the beast with several chair shots. But it appears that the chair is damaged more then Paganax, and the Chief Tribesman continues to rush forward! Ventross finds himself in a bad way as Paganax choke slams him off the lower balcony, some 7 ft. to the floor below! Ventross’ fall is broken by pile of steel chairs left over from the fans who have vacated their seats! Finally, after many more minutes of brawling in the crowd and on the outside, the two make their way into the ring for the first time during the match. At this point Ventross is busted wide open and bleeding all over the place. In bloody desperation the Ravager is able to catch Paganax with a low blow, successfully slowing him down. From there Ventross gets the crowd behind him and rallies, finishing off the offensive flurry with MERCY KILLING! Ventross actually looks as though he has Paganax beat, but Rankor rushes out and pulls the ref from the ring before he can make the 3-count!!! Ventross in a rage attempts to go out after Rankor, but Rankor tosses a white substance into his face which seems to blind him!! Ventross, now blinded stumbles around the ring and right into Paganax’s Roaring Elblow!!! Paganax covers and gets the pin much to the outrage from the paying Centra fans.

Winner : Paganax


-Camera cuts to the back where Warfare and Flatliner are standing by-

Warfare : Murdok - since you won’t put those two monstrosities Rot and Ruined on a leash , we’re gonna do it for you! Next week we’re bringing these..

Warfare holds up a massive steel chain with a leather collar attached to the end of it.

Warfare : We’re gonna hook ourselves up to these chains and have ourselves a good old fashion Centra Double Dog Collar Match. We’ve already cleared it with the council and it will be made official sometime after the show. Whether it’s for the Essence or not doesn’t matter to us! All that matters is payback!

Flatliner pushes Warfare aside and wraps the heavy steel chain around his hand and clenches a tight fist, allowing his FLATLINER armor to power up, causing a strong electrical current to pulse through his body and the chain. The steel chain crackles and sparks.

Flatliner : We’re gonna beat you two overgrown dogs into submission!…. And by the end of the night, you‘ll be calling us master!


-Cut back to ringside for the main event-.


6.Lance At-Las and Aegis (inj 2) vs. Godsend and aCe Essence Champion, Murdok w/Trisis & Decaying Factor

Fans are psyched as the main event finally gets underway. It’s no secret as to who the fans are rooting for in this one as the ref gets each man into their corner and calls for the bell. At-Las and Aegis pay close attention to Murdok’s support on the outside, knowing full well, that if Murdok or Godsend get in any trouble, they’ll be called on to bail them out. Godsend starts the match against Aegis well aware of his pre existing injuries. Godsend takes full advantage, and forces a reeling Aegis to tag out to the healthier Lance At-Las. Lance fares better against Godsend and forces a stalemate. Godsend tags out and in comes the hated Murdok. Lance At-Las controls against Murdok, until he is able to call for help from Godsend, who races in and boots At-Las. In comes Aegis and a 4 man brawl takes place. When the dust settles Aegis and Murdok are the legal men. Aegis seems to grow tired, no doubt feeling the effects of the infection that is beginning to take hold of his body! Murdok sees his opening and unloads on Aegis, hitting him with everything he has. Buts Aegis is able to get the hot tag, and in comes At-Las, who sends Murdok scattering from the ring. Godsend meets At-Las’s challenge head on and the two put on a display for the fans in attendance. Meanwhile on the outside Aegis has passed out leaving At-Las to fend for himself. Godsend catches Aegis in his Dextral Choke, but At-Las refuses to submit. Godsend only increases the pressure until eventually At-Las passes out! The ref checks on Lance At-las and awards the match to Murdok and Godsend!

Winners : Godsend and Murdok

The live feed comes to an end with Murdok and Godsend being announced the winners of the match and Aegis and Lance At-Las being carted off to the back by the medical staff. They are escorted by Shepard who appears to be yelling to the doctors that "they need to get Aegis the antidote immediately".

Dateline 1.10.2119 :

The live feed opens up in the Centra medical facility. Shepard leans against the wall outside a quarantine room. He’s silent, alone with his thoughts until Lance At-Las comes walking up.

Lance At-Las : How is he?!

Shepard moves from against the wall and looks over to At-Las.

Shepard : He’s going to be alright. He’s lucky though…the infection was beginning to spread. It had a strong hold over his body. Had he waited any longer, it might have been too late.

At-Las : Will there be any (At-Las swallows the not in his throat)…permanent damage…?

Shepard : The doctors don’t think so. But he’s going to need a few week’s rest.

At-Las : That’ll make us shorthanded, and we’re already behind the eight ball as it is. It seems like Murdok has the deck stacked in his favor. And with the Essence securely under his ownership…

Shepard : I know. Believe me I know. Our failed rescue attempt only fueled his growing confidence. However, we may be able to use that against him. Men like Murdok are careless when they feel they have nothing to worry about. But…it’s not Murdok who I’m truly concerned with. It’s his “servant”….Godsend. His intentions have not yet become clear to me …but it’s obvious to me that he has bigger plans then to serve Murdok. We would be wise to keep a close eye on him…he’s masked his true power, but I can feel faint glimmers of it resting beneath his unholy skin…scratching….clawing..awaiting to be awakened…

Lance At-Las and Shepard go silent for a moment, as if pondering what Godsend’s true powers could mean to them and the entire dimension. Scorch comes running up, a fresh cigar hanging out of his mouth. He takes a quick drag on it and addresses At-Las and Shepard as they come up to greet him.

Scorch : Sorry ta’ break up this little chat, but we gotta be heading out o’ here. The next show is booked from the Ravager Mothership. We need to catch the next shuttle or we’ll miss the show. You two hanging out here outside Aegis’ room ain’t gonna help the guy recover any quicker. C’mon - Aegis is a fighter, he’ll be alright.

With that the three ROC members exit, leaving Aegis in the care of the Centra doctors. Each of them hoping and praying for their leader's quick recovery and secretly worrying that the worst is yet to come. The feed abruptly comes to an end and the screen fills with static.

Excellent man...loved the bit of Nemean with the CWF belt...I enjoyed how it's set up for a Dog Collar match for the next card..should be brutal and I can't wait to see it.

There's a great story intertwining throughout the matches...awesome stuff, man.

The SWAT Team v Decaying Factor feud is very nice and nasty too...looking forward to that collar match!
