Live Feed from The Spiral Dome on Eros


Static fills the screen as “Through Struggle” by As I Lay Dying begins to play. As the music kicks in the static is torn away and clips of aCe action recapping the Battle for the Essence of Centra tournaments are shown. The vignette comes to a close with Murdok celebrating in the ring with Decaying Factor after his Crusade Faction swept both tournaments for the Essence Championships. The camera fades in on the Spiral Dome, which is packed with all sorts of life forms from across Centra. They’re no doubt excited to finally witness live aCe action, as the popularity of the new company has begun to spread across the Dimension.


1.Grovel vs. Noxious

Grovel seems confused and Noxious wastes no time in putting him away with a chicken wing suplex.

Winner : Noxious


2.Resurrection vs. Darkness Falls

The one on one rematch from the three way dance two weeks ago (which also involved The Specialists) leaves something to be desired as Corporal Tek and Cremator start off strong against the Primus tag team and never look back. Krypt and Jykall struggle heavily against the combined efforts of Murdok’s undead tag team, and Corporal Tek finished the match off, pinning Krypt following his CORPORAL PUNISHMENT finisher.

Ventross tries to stop Nemean from going out and challenging Rankor.

Nemean : Sorry Ventross, I’ve got to do this. Afterall…I’m the champ! The fans expect it!

Ventross : You’re the champ… What the hell are you talking about?!?! You can’t be serious Nemean. That belt you’ve been dragging around ISN’T real. This isn’t the CWF! You’re not ready to - -

Nemean : Sorry, the fans must be entertained, and the show…must go on!


- cut back to ringside -

Before the opening introductions can be finished and Nemean can go on his usual diatribe, Rankor rushes in and hammers him unmercifully. The ring announcer dives out and the bells sounds, getting the match officially underway.


3.General Rankor vs. Nemean (CWF Heavyweight Champion)

This match starts out much as fans expected it to, with Rankor completely destroying the young Ravager upstart. But in an effort to put on a show for the fans in attendance, Nemean fights back with everything he has, and, at least briefly, makes this a very competitive match. Rankor, upon realizing that he may have underestimated his ravager counterpart, unleashes a brutal fury of moves on Nemean, punishing him. Rankor hits repeated front face DDT’s in an attempt to injure Nemean’s neck all the while screaming for Ventross to come out from the back. Finally Rankor catches Nemean in GUILTY OF TREASON, and with him hanging helplessly in the ropes, leaves the ring to retrieve a steel chair and a mic. The ref urges Rankor not to use the chair, but he ignores him and goes to work, delivering several brutal chair shots to Nemean’s exposed head! The ref immediately calls for the bell and throws the match out. Soon Nemean is a mask of Ravager blood and Rankor gets on the mic and calls Ventross out.

Rankor : Ventross..where are you?!?! Are you just going to sit in the back and watch as I personally destroy young Nemean here?!?! HOW MUCH HEAT DO WE NEED VENTROSS?!?! HOW MUCH IS FINALLY ENOUGH!?!?! Well..when you’re ready, you know where to find me!

With that, Rankor goes back to work, mangling the steel chair around Nemean’s head as the fans look on in horror! The camera gets a close up of Nemean’s bloody and nearly deformed figure entangled in the ropes before immediately cutting backstage to the Ravager locker room where Ventross and Nicodemus are watching on a monitor. Ventross is in a blind rage, while Nicodmeus remains strangely calm to the entire situation taking place on the monitor before him.

Ventross : I CAN’T WATCH THIS ANY LONGER!!

Ventross gets up to storm out of the locker room, but Nicodemus stops him.

Nicodemus : No…we must not interfere. As brutal as it may appear, this is exactly what the young Nemean needs. It will mold him into a stronger warrior…and with it, he will become a great asset to our faction in this war..

Ventross : WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT OLD MAN! Rankor is gonna kill him!

Nicodemus : He won’t kill him. Security will be sent out any second…do not be baited…

Ventross : ENOUGH! I’m going out there!

With that Ventross pushes away from Nicodemus and storms out of the locker room. The camera cuts back to ringside where Rankor continues to punish Nemean with a steel chair.

Rankor : Ventross..are you truly that fearful of me?!?! That you can do nothing but watch as I dismantle your factions youngest representative?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE THIS!!!!

This those words, Rankor comes down hard with the steel chair, completely knocking the seat out of it and sending it flying into the crowd. Ventross comes storming out from the back, but is quickly swarmed by security as they flood out from behind him! Security, with Ventross restrained, hit the ring and pull Rankor out to allow doctors in the check on an injured Nemean. Ventross screams uncontrollably at Rankor as he is dragged from ringside while Rankor continues to laugh it up. After a brief intermission to allow for the ring area to fully be cleared, the next match is announced and gets underway.



4.Warfare vs. Ruined w/ Rot

With all the heat between S.W.A.T. Team and Decaying Factor, fans are treated to a brutal hard hitting contest. Rot surprisingly remains uninvolved, and leaves the proceedings to the two legal wrestlers in the match. The ref nearly throws the match out several times due to Ruined’s uncontrollable tirades, but remains lenient and allows the match to go on despite every infraction. Warfare is able to take Ruined down to the canvas (to the surprise of everyone), and doesn’t let the opportunity slip away, hitting a big guillotine leg drop on the downed zombie for the win!

5.Flatliner vs. Paganax

Paganax, feeding off the damage inflicted on Grovel and Darkness Falls earlier in the show is a mad beast in this match. Paganax runs all over Flatliner, hitting him with every big move he has. Flatliner’s powerful armor allows him to remains competitive at points, but Paganax is too much for him and eventually wins the match with PAGAN VOID.

Winner : Paganax


The camera cuts backstage to the Rampart locker room. The Ramparts sit and watch the monitor intently, apparently watching a transmition sent to them from Murdok himself. Murdok’s video has already started and we catch the Harvester himself in mid sentence.


Murdok : As you can see…Aegis is not yet dead. Obviously there is a reason for this. And as you may have already discovered, The reason for this is that the information inside the Rampart leader’s head is more valuable to me than his death. Now to his credit, Aegis put up a valiant fight..he was tougher to crack then first expected. We inflicted horrible amounts of pain on him, both psychologically and physically, and yet, he wouldn’t budge. And as you can see, we certainly left our mark.

The camera pans over to a torture ravaged Aegis.

Murdok : As you may expect, we had to take…drastic measures and call in a specialist. A man who was a true artist of torture. A man who we knew could, if nothing else, pry Aegis’s secrets from his head. And after several hours we were finally able to crack the vault so to speak, and Aegis, your leader told us everything. We now know of your secret stronghold just off the coast of Tarkania on Centra Prime. We were also privy to other…important information. Including long lists of possible aCe candidates. Men who could possibly turn the tide of this war into the ROC’s favor. Well…worry not…those threats will be dealt with swiftly. Also, Aegis divulged something that we weren’t expecting…a piece of information that was, if nothing else, very surprising…

The feed to the locker room briefly goes to static. After several seconds the feed resumes. Murdok is still speaking and the mood in the Rampart locker room has changed drastically.

Murdok : As I’ve already mentioned, Aegis is still breathing…and there is a reason for that Ramparts. The same reason I have sent this transmission to you. Now listen close Ramparts…because I have some demands….

Scorch : THAT’S IT!

Scorch’s outburst is accompanied by a violent swing of his arm that connects with the monitor, shattering the screen and abruptly ending the video.

Scorch : I’m tired of just sittin’ around and waitin’ for something’ to happen! Sorry Sheppard - but I’m takin things into my own hands!


Scorch busts into the Crusade’s locker room, catching Rot and Ruined off guard. Scorch storms in after Murdok who looks just as surprised as his two statuesque bodyguards. Scorch attacks Murdok with an uncontrollable fury, screaming profanities and laying in with heavy Trailblazer like fists. Rot and Ruined are quickly on top of Scorch, pulling him off of Murdok. Corporal Tek, in retaliation, proceeds to lay into a restrained Scorch with heavy fists to the gut until the Rampart is brought to his knees and blood in pouring from his mouth. Murdok steps up from behind Tek, and calls him off as Scorch attempts to rise to his feet.

Tek : Let’s show him no mercy! Let me pound him into a bloody lump of flesh!

Tek steps forward and delivers one last heavy punch to Scorch’s rib area. He cries out, spitting out large amounts of blood. Scorch cringes in pain.

Scorch : You mother [censored] scumbag….I’ll..

Murdok : Silence him!

Rot roars down on the back of Scorch’s head, knocking him out cold and sending the Rampart to the floor. Noxious, Cremator, and Trisis crowd around Scorch’s still body, hoping for the opportunity to taste his flesh. Godsend steps forward, pushing the hungry zombies to the side.

Godsend : If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion….

Murdok : No…I have a better idea. Rot..Ruined, take him to the ring!

Rot and Ruined haul up Scorch and drag him out of the locker room. The camera follows Decaying Factor as they drag Scorch through the backstage area and out to the ring. Murdok follows close behind with Trisis, Godsend, and the rest of the Crusade faction. Once in the ring Decaying Factor holds Scorch in place as Murdok gets on the mic.

Murdok : RAMPARTS - your friend Scorch here has made a BIG mistake! One that he’ll pay dearly for! Now I’m not an unreasonable man…so I’ll make this a fair fight. Send a ref down to the ring, and let us settle this one on one…as competitors! However, I warn you Ramparts not to attempt any interference on Scorch’s behalf. If such an attempt is made I will not hesitate to order Rot and Ruined here to tear this slug limb form limb!

A ref is sent out from the back and Murdok’s sea of zombies and stable mates at ringside part to allow the ref to enter the ring. As the ref is calling for the bell, Murdok orders his faction, who are positioned at ringside, to stop anybody who tries to interfere.


6.Scorch vs. Murdok (aCe Essence Champion) w/Trisis & Decaying Factor -impromptu non title

Scorch starts the match off in bad shape as Murdok has clearly stacked the odds in his favor. Scorch attempts to mount a comeback, but can’t seem to get anything going against Murdok who quickly turns the tables on the Rampart, using interference from ringside to his advantage. Finally, after seeing enough, the ref mercifully throws the match out, saving Scorch (sort of) from a brutal pounding at the hands of Murdok’s stable.

Murdok calls Decaying Factor into the ring to continue the assault on Scorch as the ref is tossed out. Murdok orders the massive zombies to tear Scorch to shreds, limb from limb. Decaying Factor haul up Scorch and prepare to actually pull him limb from limb per Murdok‘s command. The crowd looks on in horror until Lance At-Las steps out from the curtain with Shepard in tow.

Lance At-Las : Murdok - you coward!

Murdok stops the zombies short of their task, and turns to face the Rampart members on the entrance ramp.

Lance At-Las : What ever happened to the sport of it all?!?! What fun would killing Scorch in the ring be?! Where would be the challenge? If you truly are a master of all that you survey, and are, as you say, the rightful leader of all of Centra, then why not prove it? C’mon Murdok, let Scorch go…and face us - THE RAMPARTS UNITED! Our team versus your team. What do you have to lose?!?!

Murdok ponders At-Las’s proposition for a moment, and then looks up at him with a smile and motions for Decaying Factor to put Scorch down and for At-Las and Shepard to come to the ring.


7.Lance At-Las and the Specialists vs. Godsend, Corporal Tek, and Murdok (aCe Essence Champion) w/Trisis & Decaying Factor

Wild main event to close the show. Extra refs need to be sent out to keep control of all the action. At-Las is the star of this match, as he fights with an unmatched fury, holding his team together and making up for Scorch’s lack of contribution to the match. After many chaotic minutes, At-Las is able to pin Murdok with the MARS MANHANDLER as Shepard holds Tek and Godsend back. The Eros fans go nuts as the Ramparts are announced the winners! Murdok looks on in disbelief as At-Las and Shepard escape to the back with their fallen comrade.

The feed opens up just outside the Vault Macabre on the plague ravaged planet of Antilla. Lance At-Las is being escorted by Rot and Ruined into the chamber as a crowd of zombies gather, hungering for a taste of the fresh human flesh. Rot and Ruined do as ordered and keep the blood thirsty zombies at bay. Inside the chamber Murdok sits at his throne, the Essence of Centra draped over his shoulder. At his sides are Godsend and Painmaster. Trisis lays at Murdok’s feet, she stares distantly into the ‘void”. As At-Las is escorted into the Vault by Murdok’s two massive zombie bodyguards, hr notices Painmaster standing at Murdok’s side and a surprised expression comes over his face. Upon seeing At-Las being led into the room, Murdok sits up and smiles.

Murdok : I received your transmission - what is the purpose of this visit?

Lance At-Las begins to speak, but his attention is dragged away from Murdok and onto Painmaster who intently returns his stare. Murdok sees this “transaction”, and his mood lightens.

Murdok : Ah…I see you’ve noticed my newest convert. I bet you thought Painmaster to have been one of the many victims of my Plague. Afterall..he did sort of..disappear upon outbreak.

At-Las studies Painmaster for a moment, then turns his attention back to Murdok, who continues on with business.

Murdok : Lance At-Las - I’ll give it to you, you have balls coming here. Don’t you realize I could have you murdered with a single wave of my hand?!

At-Las : But what sport is there in that?

Murdok grins.

Murdok : Yes..but you would make an excellent edition to my undead army. As would Aegis, who I assume you are here for.

At-Las : I’m here to bargain for his life.

Murdok : You have nothing to bargain with At-Las! I already have all that I need. I have the Essence, and along with it, I have your Ramparts on their knees! What more could I need?!

At-Las : That’s fair. But I didn’t travel all this way for nothing. There must be something. Something that you lust for.

Murdok : I lust for many things..none of which you can give me. I am sorry Martian Wanderer, but your pilgrimage has been in vein!

At-Las : No! I have something that I can offer. Something that I think might just appease your appetite.

Murdok ; Oh? And what might that be??

At-Las : Me.

Murdok : You?! You are here to trade yourself for Aegis?! What sense is there in that?!

At-Las : You mistake my words Murdok, I’m not here to trade my life for his.

Murdok : Make sense quickly At-Las, I’m growing tired of this conversation and your presence in my tomb.

At-Las : I am here to make a challenge. I am here to challenge you, the Essence Champion to a match at Warzone. I have come all this way, to do this face to face with you.

Murdok : Challenge me at Warzone?!?! You can’t be serious. I’m not giving up Aegis for a match with you!!!

Godsend leans over and whispers into Murdok’s ear.

Murdok : …On second thought….I accept your challenge At-Las. These are the terms. You’ll get your match at Warzone, and along with Aegis I’ll even put up my title. But you are in the un envious position of being at my mercy. And as such, you’ll have to earn everything you get. Therefore…at Warzone, you have your match against the Harvester of Plagues, but inside the SEA OF FLESH!!!!!

Darkness. The all consuming void. A voice sounds out.

“Come forth!”

Silence follows. Time seems to drag on forever within the void. Then a second voice.

“What is it you wish of me?”

“You are almost ready to take your place in the horrible conflict that has ravaged this Dimension… but before that can happen you must hone your skills to a razor sharpness. For in this there can be no error. Not when so much is on the line. Tonight stands a possible major turning point in this war. We must not allow it to swing in favor of Murdok and the Demon. For if it does the war may be lost before it’s even properly begun. I have forseen the outcome of tonight’s event, and if events are allowed to continue on their present course, all will be lost. That is why I am sending you to intervene. But you must conceal yourself, you can not be seen. The time of your arrival has not yet come. Do you understand..?

“I do.”

“Good. I have chosen you because of your familiarness with the agressors. This I have seen will give you an edge. You must not fail.”

“I won’t.”

“Now go. And remember… keep your presence unknown and strike when the time is right. Good luck…”

Live feed from the Centra Palladium on Centra Prime


Static fills the screen as “Apocalyptic Havoc” by Goatwhore begins to play. As the music kicks in the static is torn away and clips of aCe action recapping the Battle for the Essence of Centra tournaments are shown. The vignette comes to a close with Murdok celebrating in the ring with Decaying Factor after his Crusade Faction swept both tournaments for the Essence Championships. The camera fades in on the Centra Palladium, which is packed to the brim with all sorts of life forms from across Centra.

-Cut Backstage-

The camera cuts to the ROC locker room where Lance At-Las and Scorch are in the middle of a heated discussion. At-Las tries to convince Scorch not to wrestle tonight and let his injuries from aCe 6 heal, but Scorch is one stubborn SOB and will hear none of it.

Lance At-Las : Listen Scorch..I know you wanna fight. I know you think you’re letting the team down by sitting it out tonight…but you’ve got to understand…

Scorch cuts Lance At-Las off.

Scorch : I ain’t gotta understand nothin’ Martian! I’m goin’ out there an’ I’m gonna crack some skulls. Ain’t nothin you or the priest can do about it! I’M FIGHTIN! You just worry about Murdok…I can take care o’ myself. Got that …bub?!

Scorch pushes Lance At-Las away and storms out. At-Las shoots a brief look at Shepard who remains silent, simply shrugging.

-cut to ringside-

Scorch makes his way out to the ring to a nice reaction from the Rampart faithful in attendance. Scorch calls for a mic and gets one.

Scorch : Yeah..I guess I ain’t in the best o’ condition, but I ain’t gunna just sit back and watch as this war unfolds around me! So Corporal Tek..I know yer watchin’ in the back…I owe ya’ a receipt an I ain’t leaving this godforsaken ring til’ you bring your stinkin’ ass out here!

Coporal Tek steps out from the back and comes to the ring. He gets face to face with Scorch and the two stare holes through one another.

Tek : You should of taken the night off Rampart. You’re in no condition to fight…But I’ll give you what you seek…A BEATING THE LIKES OF WHICH YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!

With that the two lock up in a flurry of fists and elbows. A ref is soon sent out and aCe War Zone gets underway with some impromptu action!

1.Scorch (Inj3) vs. Corporal Tek

Scorch and Tek brawl wildly as the bell sounds. The two trade fists until Scorch’s injuries eventually get the best of him. Tek takes control and it’s obvious he means to inflict as much punishment on the Trailblazer as possible. Tek takes Scorch outside and sends him hard into the guardrail. From there he tries to hit a running clothesline, but Scorch is able to duck it and flip Tek into the first row! It’s clear Scorch is in pain, but the Trailblazing Rampart fights through it as best he can. After several more minutes on the outside the two fight back in the ring with Tek back in control. Scorch takes a brief beating but is able to surprise Tek with a loaded fist via his coal miner’s glove! Tek is rocked by TRAILBLAZER and Scorch hauls him up and hits the Burning Fury. Scorch covers, 1…2…3!

Winner : Scorch

2.Darkness Falls vs. Noxious and Cremator, the Living Dead

Teaming together for the first time, Noxious and Cremator never seem to be on the same page against the seasoned Darkness Falls. Noxious does however have his moments when his former self comes through, but it’s not enough. Darkness Falls wins the match when they pin Cremator following Hit em High/Hit em Low.

Winners : Darkness Falls


With Godsend already in the ring “For the Soul of the Savior” comes on over the PA and Shepard makes his way out from the back. Godsend stares at the vegabond priest with a look of utter disgust, as if the mere sight of Shepard makes him want to wretch up his insides. As the two wrestlers are being announced, Shepard takes the opportunity to pray in his corner. Godsend immediately becomes enraged by the act and goes after the Priest. Godsend attacks Shepard from behind and throttles him as the bell sounds.

3.Shepard vs. Godsend

The fans are clearly behind the Vagabond Priest, but that seems to matter very little as Godsend takes the fight right to Shepard. Shepard fends off Godsend’s attacks as best he can, but the Demon simply wears him down over the course of the match. Godsend gets in as many cheap shots as he can, including using a foreign object to bludgeon Shepard as he has him locked in the Dextral Choke. The ref is finally able to force Godsend to break the submission hold, but by that point the damage has been done. Shepard tries to mount one last assault, but comes up empty handed as Godsend plants him with a Cradle Piledriver for the win.

Winner : Godsend


4.Paganax vs. Nicodemus – Centra Chain Match

Paganax starts off strong against Nicodemus, but the Ravager Ancient uses the steel chain to great effect. Nicodemus pounds on Paganax with the chain, and soon Primus blood flows from the Heathen Chief. The bloody Paganax fights back as expected and this thing turns into a seesaw battle. Despite the back and forth nature of the bout, Paganax ends up accumulating far more Fatigue Tokens than Nicodemus and it ends up costing him. After a brief excursion to the outside Nicodemus is able to take the fight back inside and catch Paganax with a Fusion Bomb that abruptly ends the match.

Winner : Nicodemus


5. S.W.A.T Team vs. Decaying Factor (Essence Tag Champions)

Flatliner and Warfare come out looking determined to capture the essence Tag titles, but Rot and Ruined stand as monstrous obstacles to that goal. Rot and Ruined dominate the contest and successfully defend their titles, pinning Warfare with WAKE THE DEAD.

6. General Rankor vs. Ventross – Ravager Torture Chamber Match

Ventross suffers a horrible beating at the hands of General Rankor and is quickly a bloody, beaten mess. Rankor repeatedly slams Ventross’ face into the heavy steel bars that line the Torture Chamber in a relentless assault that last several long, painful minutes. Ventross proves his mettle as he endures the punishment, refusing to be finished. Rankor begins to grow frustrated that despite all his brutal efforts, he is unable to put his former tag team partner away. Rankor, in his frustration, begins berating Ventross.

Rankor : Really?! IS THIS THE BEST YOU’VE GOT VENTROSS?!?! YOU’RE WEAK..! WORTHLESS….A DESGRACE TO THE RAVAGER RACE!!!!! IT’S NEVER BEEN MORE OBVIOUS THAT NICODEMUS AND THE ANCIENTS CHOSE WRONG WHEN THEY PICKED YOU OVER ME!!! TONIGHT I FINISH YOU…DESTROY YOU IN FRONT OF ALL OF CENTRA!!!

With the final roar of Rankor’s voice Ventross comes to life, his eyes blazing with hatred and anger. Ventross lunges at a surprised Rankor and drives him hard into the Chamber Wall!! Ventross pulls Rankor up and their eyes meet..

Ventross : I’M NOT FINISHED YET!

From there Ventross unloads with the Vicious Onslaught before hitting the MERCY KILLING! Ventross covers and gets the pin!

Winner : Ventross

As he is announced the winner, Ventross lets out a deafening roar that echoes throughout the Centra Palladium. Ventross stands over the fallen Rankor for several moments before exiting.

-intermission-

“Harvester of Sorrow” cues up over the PA system. The smell of death fills the Palladium, signaling the arrival of Murdok and his “Holy” Crusade. Murdok steps out from the back, dragging behind him the limp body of Corporal Aegis. Aegis is tightly bound, both his eyes and mouth taped over. A horde of zombies follow Murdok out, their wretched numbers shambling behind in unison with the Harvester. Murdok hits the ring and his undead horde spread out, engulfing ringside in a rotting sea of flesh. Once in the center of the ring Murdok motions to the rafters and a heavy steel chain with a large hook attached to the end begins to lower down. Murdok attaches Aegis to the hook via his bonds and then motions again to the rafters for the unseen operator to raise the chain back up.

Murdok (Projecting his voice without the aid of a mic) : Lance At-Las..the time has finally come! Bring yourself to the ring… my minions hunger for your flesh!!!!

“Wherever I May Roam” comes on over the PA and Lance At-Las comes out from the back. As At-Las reaches ringside the horde of undead part, clearing a path to the ring for the Martian Wanderer.

7.Lance At-Las vs. Murdok (aCe Essence Champion) – Sea of Flesh Match (with the fate of Aegis literally hanging in the balance)

With the odds stacked in Murdok’s favor, Lance At-Las is forced into an uphill battle. At-Las is cautious during the opening minutes, ever weary of the threat that looms outside the ring. Murdok on the other hand wants to force the pace and things turn into a chess match of sorts. At-Las nearly gets dumped to the outside several times but manages to stay in the ring. Every so often a stray zombie will climb into the ring and go after At Las, forcing him to turn his attention away from Murdok. This proves to be a huge advantage to the champion as Lance At-Las is never able to gain a solid footing in the match because of the interference. Lance At-Las does all he can to come through for Aegis, but the odds are just stacked too high against him and Murdok eventually gets the victory with POWER OF THE PLAGUE.

Winner and STILL aCe Essense Champion : Murdok

Victorious, Murdok orders the zombies at ringside to enter the ring and attack the downed Lance At-Las. First they converge on the ref, who’s blood curdling screams echo throughout the Palladium as he is devoured alive by the festering corpses. The fans continue to look on in shock as the zombies then turn their sights on the helpless Martian Wanderer. Then suddenly, a blinding light flashes throughout the Palladium. It burns as bright as a thousand suns going supernova, slicing through the air like an assassin’s blade. In an instant, the hungry zombie horde is cut in half at the midsections, thick black coagulated blood spilling forth, emptying onto the ring canvas in a scene of exquisite gore. Entrails and innards spill out and the fans are forced to watch in shocked revoltion. In the aftermath, only Lance At-Las and Murdok are left. The Harvester of Plagues stands bewildered, an expression on his face not seen before… shock…surprise…fear?! Murdok searches his surroundings, attempting to catch a glimpse of the invisible presence who just laid waste to his undead horde, but there is nothing. Only silence..the type of silence that comes from those solitary moments of fear - fear of the unknown. Then a voice,booming, with an elegant radiance.

: My return is immanent. But for now this intervention should be sufficient. Beware Murdok..for there are higher powers at work monitoring the conflict. They will do whatever is necessary to maintain the balance. You and the Demon will not be allowed to consume this world. Prepare yourselves…because the time approaches…a solitary exodus from heaven will signal the arrival. Thy will be done.

A heavy clap of thunder rings out in the Palladium and in the blink of an eye, both Lance At-Las and Aegis are gone, leaving Murdok alone in the ring as the show comes to a close.

I've always loved your writing and point of view of the "hardcore" nature and I see that you haven't lost your touch. Seeing this classic aCe stuff is like seeing a good nostalgic GWF '87 fed. Hope to see you continue posting stuff, I'll be watching.

Dateline 3.02.2019 :
The live feed opens up in the medical facility on Centra Prime. It's the very same place Murdok staged his kidnapping of Aegis several weeks previous. Shepard is standing outside Coporal Aegis’ room as Lance At Las comes around the corner. Shepard turns to greet the Martian.

Lance At-Las : Sorry I’m late. What did the doctor say?

Shepard : Good news. The doctors say his injuries aren’t very serious..though they suspect there may be some psychological trauma. The doctors want to keep him for observation just in case, but they’re saying he’ll make a full recovery.

A look of relief comes over Lance At-Las’ face.

Lance : That’s good to hear. (His thoughts begin to drift elsewhere) God we were lucky Shepard.

Shepard : Luck had nothing to do with it Lance…

Lance : Maybe not…but that doesn’t change the fact that had it not been for the intervention of higher powers, Aegis and I would be dead. I don’t know what I was thinking Shepard. How could I have been so careless?!

Shepard : You are too hard on yourself. You are doing the best you can….

Lance : This is a war Shepard..I don’t have the luxery of learning on the job. I’ll be happy when Aegis is back where he belongs - leading the Ramparts.

Shepard : Indeed. It will be good to have Aegis back. But don’t forget… we all play a part. Each just as important as the other.

Lance : Yeah well..Murdok still controls the Essence and with it grows more powerful with each passing day. And the Demon…he fightens me the most. At least we know where we stand with Murdok, but Godsend….

Shepard : No to worry Lance..it appears the tides of war are shifting. Our fortunes may be changing for the better. We must stay the course. We cannot waver. Which reminds me. Were we able to locate the targets..?

Lance : Fortunately they were able to secure most of the high profile targets. They’ve been re- located to our stronghold in Tarkania…though to be honest..I don’t know how safe that position is now that Murdok knows about it’s location. But it’ll have to do for now, at least until we can find a more suitable location to move them to. There are however still several targets that are unaccounted for.

Shepard : That is dishartening…though we should be thankful we were able to move fast enough to intercept Murdok before he was able to move on all the targets.

Lance : The field commander has promised to double their efforts where it concerns the missing targets…but I fear Murdok has beat us to them. And if he has, we’ll just be wasting our time.

Shepard : The loss of life would be unfortunate.

Lance : With each casualty this war weighs that much heavier on our shoulders….

Suddenly Lance At-Las’s com-link comes to life. Scorch is on the other end yelling and carrying on.

Scorch : ::crackle:: Lance! –yzzzzzt- Lance! –kzzzhhhzzzttt- Where the hell are ya?!?! Over.

Lance : (turning his attention to the voice on the other end of the com) Scorch…I’m here. Sorry. Go ahead.

Scorch : -yzzzzt- D**nit! You with the priest?!?! Don’t tell –kzzzzzzt- me you two are just standing outside Aegis’ room twiddlin’ your thumbs!?

Lance At-Las doesn’t answer.

Scorch : Fer cyrin' out loud!!! You two hangin’ around outside the guy’s room ain’t gonna help him get better any faster! We’ve got a luvsuckin’ shuttle to catch. There’s a war goin on in case ya forgot!

Lance : God..I’ve been so busy with everything I completely forgot we were due to make a shuttle to the next event. Okay Scorch, Shepard and I are on our way.
