HELL YEAH! The Divine Gathering make an impact right from the start. I'm sad The Messenger got beat, but he put up a hell of a fight regardless. Shylock just came out on top was all. The Messenger & Shylock will be a continuing battle I think. Next up is the rematch for the CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE.  I made his card better than anyone elses. He can still loose, just like anyone; but I wanted him to be an absolute beast. I'll share his card with you if you want. Reading it back; you're right! I took out the last part that made him sound like Yoda. Hopefully it makes it better. LOL!! Thanks bro! Good catch! All fixed now... Appreciate all the feedback! Lets me know i'm going in the right direction. |

Holy crap that was a great show, bro! Loved the drama with everyone wanting a fight and to see Messenger and co come into things. I'm very interested at seeing what's next. Keep the suspense rolling, my friend.  This is the kind of intensity I want to keep in the fed! It's a blast to play for sure!! I'm glad you enjoyed the show! WOW! The Messenger vs. Shylock fight sounded BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Monolith destroyed the competition. What a debut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see Monolith and The Messenger in sanctioned fights. Should be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to see you using Double Jeopardy matches man, I like it...alot. I like how one you have 2 titles, and the other you have 2 opponents. Can't wait to see what happens, but Shylock vs. TM should rock it out. Seeing Monolith in action will be a treat, too.

Trent Lawless: “Good evening mutantoids; Trent Lawless here with another exciting night of action in the POW.”
“Tonight the CWA UNIVERSAL CHAMPION[/color] The Messenger will enter the cage officially to face the POW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION[/color] Shylock. Monolith, who “illegally acquired” two POW CHAMPIONSHIPS will battle Mensar for the POW SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP[/color] & then will face Rubicon for the POW UNIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP[/color]. As if that wasn’t enough, you will also witness the awesome TEAM POWERHOUSE take on the impressive TEAM PROPHECY in a battle for supremacy. Let’s take a look at tonight’s match ups.”
A vid-clip rolls highlighting tonight’s match ups; Messenger-Shylock highlights are shown ending with Shylock’s hand raised; Monolith’s dominating performance over Mensar ending with Monolith holding both belts overhead as he exits the cage. Followed by Rubicon’s destruction of Puma; Thayne-Pendekar is hyped as fight to watch; Highlights of Zed Marlowe’s charging knee & Cypher’s sick submission game close out the package.
“Settle in people...”
Trent Lawless is cut off mid sentence by the giant hand of Monolith closing around his throat from behind; Monolith wears the POW UNIFIED TITLE[/color] around his waist; The Messenger carries the CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE[/color] over his right shoulder & The Reckoning carries the CWA SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE[/color] over his left shoulder.[/i]
The Messenger: “Tonight you will witness the MESSAGE as it is delivered to the POW.”
The Reckoning: “That MESSAGE is simple; “WE HAVE ARRIVED.””
Monolith: “We will conquer; Monolith is unstoppable!”
Monolith releases Trent Lawless who immediately sucks in a deep breath & starts coughing. The Messenger gets down in his face.
The Messenger: “What was that you were saying Lawless? Tonight is going to be brutal? Good choice of words!”
TEAM POWERHOUSE vs. TEAM PROPHECY
EXCALIBUR vs. CYPHER
:: Every time Excalibur connected with a strike, Cypher drug him down to the mat. To his credit, Excalibur rolled & escaped; or tied him up to force the stand up. Cypher was frustrated & got careless; Excalibur caught him on the chin with a looping left hand for the knockout.
WINNER: EXCALIBUR by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW:
Trent Lawless: “Excalibur; that was quite a performance.”
Excalibur: “Cypher is one of the best guys in the game. There was a couple times where I thought he had me...”
Cypher staggered came up behind Excalibur to congratulate him.
Cypher: “That was awesome kid; never saw it coming.”
Cypher raised Excalibur’s hand in victory; the crowd responded. Cypher & Excalibur left the cage together.
Trent Lawless: “Excalibur stayed calm; fought the fight of his life & beat a worthy opponent in Cypher.”
ZED MARLOWE vs. T.K.
:: Zed kept his distance with front kicks & then nailed him with a charging knee that drove T.K. against the cage. Zed dropped him with a crossing elbow & drove his head into the metal meshwork on the way down to the mat; transitioned to the mount & finished him with strikes.
WINNER: ZED MARLOWE by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Trent Lawless: “Marlowe; every time I see you fight you‘re nailing somebody with that charging knee of yours.”
Zed: “Yea, I work it a lot in the gym; guys don’t expect it to hurt as much as it does.”
Trent Lawless: “That gives you two solid wins; are you looking for a rematch with Ahnu next or are you thinking Akuma & the POW LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE[/color]?”
Zed: “I would love to fight Ahnu, but if an Akuma fight is available; I think it would be a good fight. I’m ready to face whomever they put me up against.”
Trent Lawless: “The “Prince of Pain” is more than a symbol; he’s a real threat.”
PENDEKAR vs. THAYNE
:: They traded a few before Thayne drove him back into the cage with a brutal combo; Thayne hesitated though & Pendekar made him pay with an o soto makikomi. Thayne tied him up on the mat & forced the stand up; when they closed again, Thayne dropped him with a right kick to the head.
WINNER: THAYNE by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Trent Lawless: “Thayne; you fight like a damn pit bull!”
Thayne: “There is only one thing that I want to talk about right now; AHNU! I know you can hear me back there; sign the contract you coward! I want you in the cage at LACERATION[/color] in a LAST MAN STANDING FIGHT.”
Thayne turns & leaves the cage.
Trent Lawless: “Thayne with a BIG challenge for LACERATION[/color]; what will Ahnu’s response be?”
THE RECKONING vs. WRAITH
:: Wraith caught him with an overhand right & followed with a nasty elbow; Reckoning picked him up for a running power slam & pounded him with punches & elbows. Wraith scrambled & Reckoning picked him up again for another running power slam. Wraith scrambled again; away from the ground & pound but an Avenger Drop ended the fight with a bang.
WINNER: THE RECKONING by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Trent Lawless: “Wraith didn’t stand a chance against you!”
Trent Lawless claps; the crowd boos loudly.
The Reckoning: “Don’t try to get on my good side Lawless; do your job & report on the facts. The Reckoning has come.”
The crowd boos again…The Reckoning doesn’t seem to notice.
Trent Lawless: “I don’t think they like you very much.”
The Reckoning: “It doesn’t matter if they approve of me or not; The Reckoning comes for all men. Akuma; you’re next!”
The crowd boos loudly as The Reckoning turns & leaves the cage.
Trent Lawless: “The Reckoning totally dominated one of the fiercest strikers in the game; next he wants to destroy the POW LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION[/color] Akuma.”
ZONE OF LAWLESSNESS
Trent Lawless: “Please welcome into the ZONE[/color] this week a man with a chip on his shoulder: Euritar.”
The crowd gives Euritar a mixed reaction as he makes his way into the cage; Euritar is extremely focused & doesn’t seem to notice.
Trent Lawless: “Welcome to the ZONE[/color].”
Euritar roughly shoves Trent Lawless to the mat as he snatches the microphone away.
Euritar: “Sit down & shut up Lawless!”
The crowd cheers Euritar loudly.
Euritar: “If violence is the only way to get attention in this fed; I’m okay with that.”
Euritar starts walking slowly around the cage; speaking directly to the camera as he walks.
“Last week I came out here & made a statement; something the powers that be have chosen to ignore.”
He pauses & approaches the camera.
“This is what I’m going to do to change that…Monolith; next week, I want you. I don’t care about your title; I will prove to everyone here that I’m the most dangerous fighter in the POW.”
Euritar drops the mic & hops up to sit on top of the cage; he flips off the fans which brings down some serious heat & then leaves the cage.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY FIGHT
POW SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT
MONOLITH © vs. MENSAR
:: The first punch put Mensar on the mat; Monolith just laughed & let him get back up. 1…2…3 charging knees & a double leg pick up & slam…BOOM! Mensar couldn’t capitalize thought & Monolith fought his way back to his feet. Mensar pressed the attack & rocked him twice more; Monolith’s hand snaked out of nowhere to grab Mensar around the throat; the overhand right that followed knocked him out cold. (snake eyes)
WINNER: MONOLITH by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Trent Lawless: “Looks like you cemented your place atop the POW with that win.”
Trent Lawless claps as the medics remove Mensar on a stretcher; the crowd boos loudly.
Monolith: “Monolith is unstoppable! Monolith wants blood!”
The crowd cheers that statement…Rubicon makes his way into the cage.
Trent Lawless: “Sounds like the crowd wants blood too.”
Monolith: “Monolith will give them blood then!”
Monolith tears by Trent Lawless & charges straight at Rubicon; people scatter inside the cage as the two behemoths come together & the battle begins.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY FIGHT[/size]
POW UNIFIED TITLE FIGHT
MONOLITH © vs. RUBICON
:: This fight was AMAZINGLY BRUTAL; 17 combined tokens!! Rubicon came out on a mission to destroy Monolith & nearly finished the job! Monolith hurt him with an Andromeda Drop but Rubicon came roaring right back. Monolith drove him into the mat again with Feel the Terror; Rubicon lost control & went on a furious rampage that slammed Monolith twice with belly to belly falling slams & twice with back hip throws. Monolith just splashed him backwards into the cage in response & bashed him with overhand rights until he dropped to the mat; both men were awash with blood. Monolith’s arm was raised in victory from his knees; gasping for air.
WINNER: MONOLITH by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Monolith slowly gets back to his feet & shoulders both belts; Trent Lawless makes his way back into the cage.
Trent Lawless: “That was the best fight we’ve ever seen in the POW!”
Monolith: "Monolith told you already; Monolith is unstop…BAM!”
Monolith is blindsided by Euritar with a crowbar; security drones quickly mob him down to the ground & struggle to keep Monolith at bay.
Monolith: “You dare attack Monolith?!? Monolith will destroy you!”
Monolith tears through the security personnel one by one; Euritar struggles back to his feet to face the press of the monster. Jack Hood appears & gets between the two men; stopping Monolith with a hand to the chest.
Jack Hood: “Euritar, ye want this beast? Ye got him…”
The crowd roars at this revelation; Monolith punctuates it by grabbing one of the security personnel around the throat for a Feel the Terror choke slam.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY FIGHT[/size]
POW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT[/color]
SHYLOCK © vs. THE MESSENGER ©
:: Shylock surged forward & pounded The Messenger with a flurry of shots; he blocked each of them & launched a counter attack that Shylock countered. Back & forth these two went relentlessly. The Messenger quickly opened a cut above Shylock’s eye & that only drove Shylock on to ground the fight & punish The Messenger with brutal punches & elbows until he too was bleeding from a wicked gash. At every turn, each had an answer. Back to their feet & again The Messenger rocked Shylock back into the cage; Shylock swept his feet & planted The Messenger on his back. He turned The Messenger into the cage & started swinging for the fences from the guard; a cross elbow bounced The Messenger’s head off the cage & Shylock poured it on but The Messenger was unconscious & the fight was over.
WINNER: SHYLOCK by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Shylock staggered back to his feet; medics brought The Messenger back to consciousness & took him back to his corner. Trent Lawless joined Shylock in the center of the ring.
Trent Lawless: “That was an amazing performance Champ!”
The crowd roars their approval as well; Shylock acknowledges their approval by waving to the fans.
Shylock: “He is a hell of a fighter; one of the best I’ve ever faced, and that says a lot.”
Trent Lawless: "Yes it does. You’ve managed to defend the POW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE[/color]; do you have enough left to bring the CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE[/color] home to the POW?"
The crowd roars again & Shylock smiles big; in the background, The Messenger gets back to his feet & shakes out his limbs.
Shylock: "Looks like we are about to find out doesn’t it?"
The crowd explodes as the two men come together again in the center of the cage & touch gloves. The ref holds the CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE[/color] aloft for the fans to see & the fight is on...[/i]
DOUBLE JEOPARDY FIGHT[/size]
CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE FIGHT[/color]
MESSENGER © vs. SHYLOCK ©
:: This fight was a carbon copy of the previous fight; except in reverse. The Messenger surged forward and dominated Shylock with wicked strikes & kicks. Shylock blocked what he could but took a lot of punishment in the process. Shylock circled off the cage & counter attacked but The Messenger slipped into the clinch & took him down to the mat. Shylock scrambled away but The Messenger relentlessly pursued him & drove him backwards into the cage. After several intense exchanges, The Messenger nailed Shylock with one…two…three thunderous overhand rights to drop him unconscious to the mat.
WINNER: THE MESSENGER by KO
POST FIGHT INTERVIEW
Shylock & The Messenger stand to each side of Trent Lawless; both men have shouldered their title belts.
Trent Lawless: “Messenger; you and Shylock split the wins tonight; do you consider this a victory?”
The Messenger: “We both successfully defended our titles.”
Shylock: “We both gave the other our best.”
Trent Lawless: “Is there enough left for another fight between you? All three have been superb so far.”
The crowd roars their approval of another fight.
The Messenger: “If that is what the crowd wants to see; we can make it happen.”
Shylock: “Absolutely.”
The crowd is deafening as Shylock & The Messenger shake hands in front of Trent Lawless.

##STANDING OVATION## This was the best card so far! Where to start? First Off: Trent Lawless: “The “Prince of Pain” is more than a symbol; he’s a real threat.” LOL! The name carries over to another POW universe. I really like how you use Trent Lawless and the post fight interviews to add depth to the fighter's personalities. Excalibur with a BIG win over Cypher. Zed gets a dominate win over T.K. All three members of the Gathering get big wins tonight. I like how each character's personalities are playing out. You are giving me some good feul for The Messengers return to the GWFZ. MONOLITH & RUBICON get best fight in POW (so far)! That is awesome and after Monolith squashes Euritar, I would love to see a rematch. The Messenger and Shylock put on two more great performances. I can't wait for yet another round. |

What a show! The double jeopary mathces did not disappoint.
The image of Monolith, on his knees having his hand raised while gasping for air, really illustrated the brutality of that bout.
The Messenger and Shylock each getting a win. There HAS to be a deciding fight between the two.
And I have to say that the post fight interviews are really helping me to get to know these characters. GREAT JOB!
