POW Sun*Fire
The Soul of Sol Tour - Stop One
Titan Stadium
-- A massive firework and laser display filled the air above the crowd at Titan Stadium, kicking off the first stop of the POW Soul of Sol Tour! The stadium was abuzz with chants and cheers, as the POW kicked off its first show as the #1 RATED SHOW IN THE GALAXY!
-- President Prodigy strode out halfway down the ramp and yelled, "Ladies and gentlemen....thank you for making POW #1! That's right -- the galaxy-wide numbers are in and we are officially ahead of the GWF. No sport...no show...no spectacle has ever done that in 20+ years."
-- Amidst "P-O-W" chants, the prez went on, "Tonight, we are in full POW Undisputed mode. Cypher is already in....and after tonight, we will have a second entrant. It's the 'wild card' round, if you will....with 10 wrestlers getting a shot for one spot."
-- "We will have two 5-wrestler battle royals. The winners will face in the main event....for spot #2, alongside defending Undisputed Champ Cypher!"
Battle Royal #1
Zed Marlowe -vs- Pendekar -vs- Stigma -vs- Dante -vs- Absalom
-- Pendekar and Stigma highlighted the beginning minutes of this one, by unloading on each other with absolute viciousness. Unfortunately for him, the Jakarta native flubbed a deathjump and soon after got eliminated.
-- Dante, wisely, tried to lie low and pick his shots. He was successful for much of the match. He swooped in to eliminate Marlowe after Zed took care of Stigma. In the end, Absalom -- worn out from earlier devastation by Stigma -- was no match for a much fresher Dante.
Dante wins
(order of elimination -- Pendekar by Stigma; Stigma by Absalom; Marlowe by Dante; Absalom by Dante)
Battle Royal #2
Excalibur -vs- Quetzal -vs- Indigo -vs- T.K. -vs- Raze
-- This one looked as if it was going to be unfair. Indigo and T.K., obviously, paired up and dominated. They got rid of Excalibur, then Raze, leaving poor Quetzal facing a 2-on-1 handicap.
-- Poor Quetzal? The high-flyer withstood considerable offense from T.K., as Indigo hovered and picked his shots. They kept trying to eliminate him, but he'd always manage to wriggle away from the ropes.
-- In a shocking turn of events, Quetzal dropkicked T.K. over the top rope, then dazzled Indigo with a flurry of high-flying moves...en route to a huge victory
Quetzal wins
(order of elimination -- Excalibur by T.K.; Raze by T.K.; T.K. by Quetzal; Indigo by Quetzal)
Conundrum -vs- Macro
-- Unbelievable. Yes, this is the Conundrum who was injured so badly at POW Rising that he was estimated to be out for 10+ fight cards. With a neck brace on, the newcomer strode down with extreme confidence.
-- The match itself was interesting. Conundrum was clearly the better man tonight, but kept faltering in sealing the deal, no doubt his injuries nagging him.
-- As such, Macro finally got it together and seemed poised for victory....when Matinee Idol rushed down and pulled the referee out of the ring! He taunted Macro, who decided to gleefully chase after the starlet.
-- Conundrum, favoring his neck, nonetheless was able to get it together, and used his controversial finisher as soon as Macro re-entered the ring.
Conundrum wins by pinfall via LOADED QUESTION
Good Ol Boys -vs- Rave Review
-- Matinee Idol looked pretty proud of himself as he swaggered down, having cost the surprisingly-successful Macro a defeat.
-- The crowd got completely behind GOB, especially Silas -- who brought out a case of his self-proclaimed "Silasweisers", and tossed a few into the crowd.
-- Idol perhaps needed less gloating and more focus, as Gordo and Silas destroyed him, preventing even a tag.
GOB by pinfall via LONE STAR LARIAT
MAIN EVENT for the second spot in POW Undisputed
Dante -vs- Quetzal
-- It was no surprise that Dante stood on the cusp of entry into POW Undisputed, but certainly Quetzal was unexpected.
-- This match was a great one. Two of the highest-flying, acrobatic stars went toe to toe in a gem.
-- The end result was a shocker -- Quetzal executed his middle top-rope clothesline, made the cover...1...2...3! He will be at POW Undisputed -- likely as the top underdog!
