The FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 was a great event, I wasn't upset that the US Team lost to Japan and after watching the WWC I'm watching the Womens Professional Soccer league which has been entertaining. My favorite team is the Boston Breakers, they just stood out to me so I'm rooting for those ladies...
I'm back into the MLS and I'm a Fan of the Full League overall, but I'm a New York Red Bulls fan but if they fail I'll root for the next team...
The EPL season starts very soon, I watch more for the lower teams over the powerhouses like Man.U or Chelsea...

I was happy for Japan but kinda bummed. Was hoping to see Hope Solo go Brandy Chastain on us and run around in her sports bra!

The Playoff hunt in the WPS is on, I'm hoping the Boston Breakers on Saturday can defeat magicjack while FSC's Sunday Game between #1 Philly & #4 Sky Blue FC see's Philly win...
MLS I'm hoping the #3 RedBulls defeat the West #5 Real Salt Lake, the RedBulls have struggled of late and last years Cup Winners the Colorado Rapids who are 4th in the West face East #1 Columbus Crew today on FSC should be good...

I just watched a great USL Pro game where the Wilmington Hammerheads defeated the LA Blues 2-1 in North Carolina and the crowd was near 6,000 which is great for a USL Pro game...

The only truly global sport in the world kicks of its season here in the UK over this weekend.
Next week Norwich City begin their campaign. It'll be a tough season for the Canaries after being promoted last season. Now up into the Premier League and quite likely outgunned most weeks.
I'm just a little miffed that the beautiful game gets put in the "other sports" category on these boards!

I'm just a little miffed that the beautiful game gets put in the "other sports" category on these boards! I've been a fan of the game since my Childhood in the 80's, but the Beautiful Game here in the States is down further on the ladder of Sports in the US and I don't see that changing. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the EPL Season unfolds and a side note I watched a good 2011 PDL Championship game lastnight where Kitsap SC Pumas won at home...

What a downward spiral the New York Red Bulls are on, they lost to Real Salt Lake 3-0 and in the WPS Philly defeated Sky Blue FC 2-1 where now the Boston Breakers & Sky Blue FC play each other this week for the final playoff spot...

9pm this evening on ESPN2 the US Mens National Team faces the Mexican National Team and USA's New Head & German Star Coach Jürgen Klinsmann begins his era against our rival in Philly. I liked Bob Bradley, but honestly for us to get further up the ladder we need a European Minded Coach, but it's early so I'm hoping for a reasonable showing against Mexico...

The USMNT drew 1-1 with Mexico lastnight which is not a bad result, but it'll be a long road for Jurgen and the USMNT...
Plus, NBC signed a 3 year deal to carry the MLS and several USMNT games both on NBC and the Newly named NBC Sports Network ( formerly Versus ) starting in 2012, which is Great News...
