This was one of those years where the regular season basically played out exactly how most Tigers fans expected going into the season. We all expected to see the Tigers win the Central, and do it in a close race vs. the Sox that winds down to the end of the season. And that's exactly what happened. Not a ton of rah rah moments this year because this is what was expected. No surprises. With that said it's amazing to say this is the Tigers first back to back titles since 1934-35. Hats off to that. Now the REAL season begins. The POST-season. GO TIGERS!

Amazing performance by the best pitcher in the game last night. When JV is right, the other team doesn't have much of a chance. JV is one of those special athletes and I'm very thankful I get watch this guy pitch every 5 games.
The best part is, the Tigers won a playoff series against a team that had won 94 games with Cabrera and Fielder not doing much. Once those guys heat up, watch out!
And I just happen to catch part of ESPN's "Around The Horn" show when they were talking predictions for the Tigers-A's game. Woody Paige said Oakland had all the momentum and they would win. When he was asked, if Verlander pitching gave Detroit the edge he said, "The A's are playing so well at home, they're magical in that park and I don't think that changes just because you have a different pitcher in there."
Good job losing what little credibility you had on national TV. Haha!
GO TIGERS!!!!

I can't really take any team that employs Jose Valverde as a closer seriously.

I can't really take any team that employs Jose Valverde as a closer seriously. Valverde has been bad all year. Did you see the Tigers won despite his awful performance? One man does not a team make.
