Wish I can say the same for my Yankees. That was a painful lost but even worse than losing the game was seeing Jeter go down. He's out for the rest of the season. That is a huge lost and don't know if the Yanks can bounce back from it. Def going to have to step our game up.

I can't really take any team that employs Jose Valverde as a closer seriously. I bet you couldn't WAIT to log on and type up this zinger. Probably felt real good at the time. GO TIGERS!

The missed tag at second brought back memories of the Yankees benefiting from a bad call a few years ago in the playoffs with a foul ball called fair in left field (you know what play I mean). Glad this time the bad call had no bearing on the outcome. Baseball really needs instant replay.
Love how the slant all week has been about the Yankees losing and not the Tigers winning. I'm fine with that. I even enjoyed the video tribute ESPN put together for Jeter, full of sad music, bald eagles, American Flags and of course plenty of Jeter highlights. I swear I thought the guy might have died or something haha
GO TIGERS!

I do have to admit that the Yankees did get jobbed out by the sch3edule makers, having no off day between the 1st and 2nd rounds...but I also have to say I am loving the result as a devout Yankee Hater. Tigers have JV in game 3, which should hopefully put the Yanks in a 3-0 hole by the time CC takes the mound. Good picthing for the Bombers has been offset by the atrocious hitting, and with the Captain out I think its time to put a fork in them.
The Tigers have my full support taking out the Evil Empire and then avenging 2006 by being out the cards in the rematch. I think Miggy and crew can do it.

HELL YEAH TIGERS! Total domination of the Stankees. I don't want to hear any of that "our bats went cold" crap. It's called pitching. What you did in the regular season means NOTHING in the playoffs. There are no easy outs in the playoffs and if you can't hit good pitching when it counts, you lose. That's what happened to the Yanks. They were dominated by the amazing Detroit starting pitchers. Hopefully, Detroit can get a 2006 re-match with St. Louis and beat them this time!!
