Has A Red Sox fan I really wish the best for Jeter.......... He has been great for the sport and a first ballet Hall Of Famer........If you are a baseball fan, and you are not pulling for Jeter,....then you have no soul, the same goes for Mariano....
but hey.....being a miserable Sox fan this season its also Ok to see the Yanks not win it all, and you guys really need to move A-Fraud out ;D
GO TIGERS!!!

No more idiotic TBS broadcasters! True...but unfortunately there is still Tim McCarver to deal with. Congrats to the Tigers. Just hope the 1 week layoff wont adversely affect them like it did 6 years ago.

Factoid of the year: Phil Coke, Austin Jackson, Max Scherzer; all former Yankees who came over in the Granderson trade. Coke - Closed the Yanks out twice, including the clincher. Jackson - At just 25 years of age, Jackson hit .300/.377/.479 with 16 home runs. He also has plus speed, and therefore is a solid defender in center field. With 34 doubles and 10 triples, Jackson's numbers are approaching those of Granderson's back when he played for the Tigers Scherzer - His 231 strikeouts are second in the league only to his teammate Justin Verlander. Granderson - So bad he was benched in the ALCS. Bonus factoid: Doug Fister was originally drafted by the Yankees. His game 1 win set the tone for the sweep. Talk about insult to injury. 2012: the year the Detroit Tigers decapitated the Yankee franchise. I was thinking how fitting it was that those 3 guys contributed to the Yanks sweep yesterday. Scherzer starts and shuts them down, Coke closes, and AJ with a big HR to add insult to injury.
So sad to see ESPN play a TON of idiot Brian Cashman's post game comments and how he barely gave any credit to Detroit. You hit .157 NY, lowest ever in a LCS. Also, the Tigers are the ONLY team ever to sweep an LCS and alos never trailed at any time.
GO TIGERS!!!!!

I'm a Yankee fans and the Tigers destroyed us. They beat us in every way, no question about it. What I love is how some ppl seem to think that beating the Yanks is winning the World Series. Baseball season isn't over yet. There is a very hot team over in St. Louis, that btw are last years World Series champions. No time to celebrate yet.

I don't know of anyone acting like the Tigers won the World Series yet. The little bit of celebrating was for making he World Series, regardless of who they beat to get there. Remember, this is the 3rd time in the past 6 years the Tigers have outed the Yankees. Nobody in this town expected to lose to them. Whether it's the Cards or Giants I think Tigers fans are absolutely prepared for a stronger fight than New York put up.

Sorry but the Yankees are the Evil Empire and the more they lose in the post season the better.
I loved JV in the last game when I believe in the 2nd inning he kept the headset because he was superstisious (sp?)...then the tigers go on to score a run....then he comes back...great stuff...
Loved Detroit winning because they were facing the Yankees and love Omar Infante as a Braves fan myself...
Good job Tigers
