Well I knew the Giants were going to be a very tough opponent but I didn't see the Tigers offense getting shut down like this. Minus Peralta's swing in the 9th in game 1, the Tigers have only put 1 run on the board in 18 innings. Kudos to the SF pitching and it looks like another quick exit from the Series by our boys. Very sad.
I think it's basically over but the Tigers still have a little window to turn it around although when your top 2 pitchers lose against the opponent's 3 & 4 pitchers, it doesn't look good. Tigs must win each of their home games to have any chance of winning it all. I don't see us being able to win 2 in a row at SF. The offense needs to figure out the SF pitching staff. Poor Doug Fister, 3 awesome starts in the post season and 3 no decisions.
Although I will hate watching the Tigers lose the Series, this team definitely made up for its lackluster regular season by finishing strong to win the division and sweeping the Yanks to win the AL.

I feel like I'm watching 2006 all over again. Crazy bloopers, bounces and close calls. Even worse, the attitude the Tigers is showing is poor. Verlander was disgusted with that ump by the time the 3rd batter was up. It was like Verlander assumed he could just go in there, throw his stuff and get the W (like everyone else I guess). The ump was calling some odd balls and strikes but he was doing it for both teams. Verlander needed to keep his cool there. I think that little internal outburst along with his arrogant "gtfo" look when the pitching coach came out to the mound to calm him down doomed him. He became unraveled after that. Nothing wrong with being powered up with anger, but you gotta also stay focused. I think he got too angry, and it affected his game. One top of all the Tigers woes, the Giants have played two outstanding games. 3 HR's from that fat ass was just incredible. Hats off to him. Their pitching has also been very impressive.
Last night, not sure what to say. More bloops and blunders. One play at home shouldn't determine a whole game. Fister was again marvelous, but nobody wins with 0's on the board.
I think they're probably out. Thought that after game one, but I haven't given up on them. Still watching every pitch and proud of the season. Won't be surprised if they win the next two though. Just not counting on it.
PS: I'm supposed to tell everyone that Kevin Butcher miraculously and accurately predicted the entire game one. He called everything exactly how it went down -- from the winner to the score to Verlander being pulled by the 6th due to being blown up by Giants hitting (predicted before the game even began). At the top of the 3rd he says "here comes the huge inning for the Giants" like the game was on god damn tape delay.
So for everyone who doesn't think Butcher knows sports here is proof he does. There.

dammit i am pulling for the Tigers. last thing i want is another giants title. this is rediculous. A-Fraud and bonds stuggle all their career in the post season and kung fu panda hits 3 hr's in a game?! Come on Tigers ! you can come back! win the next two at home, Verlander redeem yourself and it's back on!

Inability to score is killing the Tigers.
The extended playoff format....may just be going too long...people are losing interest.

When Detroit was down 0-2, I didn't think too much of it since they were going home and gaining the DH. When they lost the third game I figured they were toast. That old saying about pitching and defense always seems to hold true.
At least I don't have to listen to that Springsteen song anymore thay were using for the promos. Although I will never get sick of the Wrigley Field commercial with Kerry Wood and Andre Dawson.
And Game 4 may have featured the worst rendition of God Bless America ever.
