Ya know, I even picked you Lions to defeat my Vikes, thinking, home field advantage, tough game, Vikes choke. Wow, what happened to the Lions? I must say, the Vikes are a surprise this year! Ponder's looking pretty good, really coming around as a complete QB!? BUT, it's still early.

I picked the Vikings game to make my first live game because I thought Detroit would walk all over them (I bought the tickets right before the season started). I guess not, LOL. Yeah, your Vikings are looking like the sleeper hit team this year. After you guys smoked SF, I knew it wouldn't be easy to beat them...and well, you smoked us too! Swarm, thanks for the insight on why we're falling apart and trying to make sense of it all. Hopefully this bye week will allow them to re-focus. Oh hell, who are we kidding? They'll just find a way to get arrested instead, LOL.

I also enjoy reading the Swarm NFL preview thread! As for the Lions, I haven't been this frustrated in a long time. They don't seem to be doing ANYTHING well. The offense stalls in the red zone way too often and I love Jason Hanson but I don't want to see him kick anymore FGs. Good teams get TDs more than FGs.
The defense isn't generating any pressure, the secondary is really missing Delmas and the Special Teams couldn't be any worse. The WRs are dropping passes all over the place and the O Line can't keep Stafford upright or create any running lanes.
ST coordinators needs to be fired immediately and the OC and DC have got to adjust to what the other teams are doing because it doesn't look like they are changing things up week to week and we keep seeing the same results.

This was the most frustrating and disappointing loss I've seen in the Schwartz era. This team is full of 1st and 2nd round picks on offense and they were held to 0 points until :30 left in the game. Ridiculous. This offense can't figure out how to beat a 2 deep safety defense for the 7th straight week. Linehan needs to be fired ASAP but the worst part is, the Lions are beating themselves a lot, too. The Bears played great D but Calvin drops a pass early that would've went for 30 + yards, 3 redzone turnovers, 2 dropped punts (1 lost).
Our defense only gave up 13 points...that should be enough to win in the NFL, especially with a team with Calvin Johnson on it. The offensive play calling is terrible and the execution by the players is worse. Something needs to change and fast. I feel a lot of the blame falls on the coaching staff. They are not making adjustments and there's no imagination on the offensive side of the ball. Another reason is I think the lack of drafting adequate offensive lineman in the draft during the Millen era has finally come back to bite us. It looks like they're regressing.
It's really hard to watch this, and this is coming from someone who saw an 0-16 season. That team was overmatched, this team actually has talent and that's what makes it worse.

Not sure what to say after that game. Here's what drives me to drink though: Mayhew has spent 1st and 2nd round picks on Stafford, Pettigrew, Leshoure, Titus, and Ryan Broyles (not to mention Best who isn't playing anymore) and on 3rd and 1 the guy we give the ball to is an undrafted RB from Western fing Michigan!!??
1st and goal from the 1 and these jerks can't figure out how to get the call in the end zone. if two jump balls and a HB leap from 3 yards behind your own O-line is all this clown Scott Linehan has in his playbook then it's time to let this guy go. I wasn't even crazy about his play-calling last year, where imo he was bailed out a ton by Stafford and Calvin improvising.
Defense looks awesome as they have most of the year. Suh's hit on Cutler was totally legal and that gangster wife-beating schizo Brandon Marshall needs to stfu.

We deserved to lose. The O played like idiots. Seattle is a toss-up but if we lose to Jacksonville all hope will be lost for me.

We've been looking good lately!
Next week, hopefully we'll beat Minnesota and be in third place, and then the following week let's stick it to Green Bay!

A person should stick with their team through thick and thin...if you're a die hard Lions fan (or anyone with their team) will love them unconditionally regardless of their season. They went 0-16...if you've given them hope since then, then you really can't give up on them now can you?

It just hurt too bad, LOL.
