Yea watching the Packers first drive, and not realizing what the weather issue was as I am at work and only partly watching, I thought they were going to beat the Lions by a couple TDs. But we are doing better than I expected even before the game started. It is our D, and Love being hobbled, that is leading the charge.

Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got screwed. The fix is in. They tossed Branch out for making an NFL hit. He was lowering his shoulder, and it was accidental helmet to helmet contact. FTP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Typical refs trying to screw us against Green Bay...but THAT DON'T WORK NO MO!!!!!!!!! FTP!!!

What's scary about this team is our offense has lot of room to improve and our D doesn't have Hock yet are doing a solid job. If we trade for a player, or two, who can help bring pressure we will be really hot going into the playoffs. The one team that scares me that they could block us from the title is us. I don't see us getting cocky or losing focus but that would be our biggest obstacle.

The Lions only made one trade before the deadline, but more help is on the way. They designated CB Emmanuel Moseley and S Ifeatu Melifonwu to return from IR. That boosts our secondary. I am especially happy to see Ifeatu back. I was just checking a day or two ago to see if any news on him. He is a young safety who has improved over each of his previous 3 seasons. He gives the secondary and D more flexibility. They can move Branch around if need be or play 3 safeties who I think are all ball hawks. Two are and Ifeatu has shown signs that he could be one too. Go Lions. One Pride.

Decker is out for the game Sunday night. Ouch. Also, Smith who we just traded for is questionable. At least Houston is banged up a bit as well. We should still win but our injuries make it a tougher game.

I see Detroit has a double header with Houston Sunday. The Lions of course are on SNF, but the Pistons host the Rockets Sunday afternoon.

Ballard really needs to go. Yes,yes he does.We aren’t going anywhere without a solid quarterback.Something Ballard doesn’t seem capable of drafting or acquiring through free agency.
