Many times, the wrestling world teases a surprise appearance. Sometimes, it is an absolute disaster (See the unveiling of the Gobbledy Gooker for example). But sometimes the payoff is worth the hype. Here, in honor of Halloween once again, we have the WCW Halloween Phantom unmasks!

That was definitely a good one. It was a time where WCW was doing lousy and almost redeemed itself before falling on its face again.

In his prime big Sid had presence, intensity, great scary man facials and a complete mastery of the whisper yell technique!

Say what you will about him becoming a shill or just a cheap nostalgia pop or whatever, but Mick Foley is one of the single best men on the stick. Emotion, intensity, passion, he has it. And this is probably one of the greatest promos ever delivered. IMO of course...

A very well done video showcasing the American Original Lex Luger during his Lex Express tour circa '93. Many fans were left shocked when the hoopla didn't culminate with a title win at Summerslam...only a count out victory and strangely out of place multi-wrestler in ring celebration. What does it take to be a hero? What does it take to be a man? I'm looking down into my young boy's eye As I feel his love, oh I realize, The joy you passed along, All day long. I'll be your hero-Lex Luger Promo Video 'Hero'

I don't know if 5 years is old enough to be considered "Classic," but this is a pure example of some of the best promo work any pro wrestler has ever delivered.

This interview was from WCW Saturday Night circa 9/26/92. Bruno Sammartino is a real life success story, a man who fought in World War 2, rose from poverty and became a larger than life figure who propelled the industry forward. One of the all time greats, always in great shape, here his quiet charisma shines through.
