I've always been more of a DC Comics fan and with this NEW 52 kicking off next month, I'm going to collect & read One book from the 52 and that is JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK...
I've always liked the Darkside of the DC Universe and this book has several great characters back in the DCU fold from the Vertigo Universe. Shade, the Changing Man is my first reason to read this book, then Deadman, Enchantress, Zatanna & John Constantine. They also have Madam Xanadu and a New Character in Mindwarp, so I'm excited to see how the JLD will unfold...

I love Shade The Changing Man! I might have to read this. I have the full run of Shade's Vertigo series and the First 4 issues of the 70's series. I'm excited that DC is using him again and what I've read & seen his looks are from the Vertigo series but the Character is more from the 70's series...

I'm getting Action Comics for sure, Green Lantern maybe. Justice League Dark looks good, and so do about a half dozen others, but I just don't have the time to invest in it. I've cut way back on reading comics these last few months.

Reboots like this are just a kick in the crotch to long time readers.

I'm ok with them tweaking Superman's costume a bit, but hiking boots? C'mon!

I'm ok with them tweaking Superman's costume a bit, but hiking boots? C'mon! Action Comics is going to be the "origin" book, retelling the early days, which is why he's wearing the t-shirt, jeans, and boots look for the first part. The official costume he wears in "current" timeline is radically different. Todd, Longtime readers are a dwindling bunch. Sales numbers that used to get a book cancelled now get it a spot in the top 50. Something had to be done to shake it up, knock off some dust, and try to attract some new readers. I don't blame anyone for being upset, but I can see why this was done.

I agree that it might hurt the long time readers, but I'm one of those long time readers who gave up not only on DC but Marvel a long time ago and Marvel to me still has nothing interesting to even intrigue my interest, but this reboot by DC really has me excited to read a New book or Two, but in the end we still can go back and read our old issues...

It looks like all the companies can think of for new ideas is to reboot. It gets really old in a hurry.

Very true. One problem is that comics need to do something to set themselves apart when you can go online and read dozens of comics for free.
