What a revel by Rick in tonight's episode. It really makes you think about the virus or whatever that caused the Zombie Apocalypse. From the look of the final shot next season will be in the jail I've heard so much about. I think in between seasons I may go and finally check out the comics. I am absolutely hooked on the whole Walking Dead world. And man has Rick finally laid down the law.

A very excellent seaon finale that revealed what Jenner told Rick at the end of Season One was a nice touch that spanned the full season to be revealed at the end. I really loved how Rick takes control of the group at the end and the look on Hershels face to me spoke of him approving that Rick finally woke up and takes the leadership role. I've heard about the hooded stranger (Michonne) being a big fan favorite from the comic book and seeing her with Walkers on leashes led by her is wild crazy stuff. It's going to be fun in the Fall to see how the Prison storyline will unfold, but Season Two was a Big success...

Simply amazing. Episodes like that are the reasons why I have patience with the shows that don't have as much. Slow build, slow build, slow build...BAM!!
Lori continues to piss me off. Although, I'm not sure if she was pissed that Rick killed Shane or if it was the revelation that Carl killed Shane the walker.
I don't understand why they would be mad that Rick kept the virus detail to himself. What difference would it make?
I swear Carol is bi-polar. Holy crap. She's starting to piss me off as well. Trying to tug on Daryll's strings like that.
I love how Rick reinforced what Lori had said in 203 (I believe). If you think you can do this without me, there's the door.
How long until October?

I like what Glen Mazzara said on Talking Dead that Lori is mad at herself for putting both Shane & Rick into their showdown and I have to say it's her own fault that Carl shot Walker Shane and I'd say she is mad about that too. I like Carol, but I think she is now in a reverse role where she'll be abusive and not the victim. I think the group was still hoping for a traditional life and were upset that Rick never told them what Jenner said, so I think we'll see in Season 3 their past lives are truly gone...

Is everyone who is really into this show a big zombie fanatic? I watched the season finale. I felt like I was waiting forever to "get" what everyone else gets from this show and again, it never happened. Same thing that happened when I first watched the show where they handcuffed that guy to the top of a building. I remember thinking the same thing then. I wasn't feeling the main character at all. I thought the hooded figure with the armless zombies was awesome. Beyond that nothing caught my attention. I'm neutral on zombies. I think that might be why. I can't figure it out. This is my 3rd or 4th attempt to get into this show and it's still a Mexican stand off.

I am admittedly a big zombie fan but I know so many people who are into Walking Dead that are not at all zombie fanatics. I don't think that Walking Dead could pull the ratings that it does if it was just zombie fans watching.

I am a zombie fanatic. I watch any zombie movie I find, good or bad. However, I would not watch this show if I did not like it. Admittedly, the acting is just ok. There are flaws in the logic. Sometimes an episode may drag. Hmmm. Sounds a bit like wrestling, doesn't it? I think, for me anyway, being a wrestling fan makes it easier to watch a show like this. I can look past the occasional dragging episode. I can look past the sometimes awkward acting. I can look past the logic flaws. When we get the payoff episode like last night. And really the last three were the culmination of everything since sea.1, ep.1
I think that the zombie-pocalypse is the "it" thing right now. Which is what makes TWD a ratings hit right now.

I can speak as someone who is not a zombie movie fan, but has been captivated by the show. I think it helped me by watching from the beginning, especially the pilot and following along with the characters from that point.
The beginning of this season dragged a bit, but I understand a new writing crew was brought in for the 2nd half of the season, which certainly picked up.
Lots of good stuff happened to set up next season. But that person with the blade and the armless zombies in chains was badass. I do not know much about the jail that next season will be based out of, but I am intrigued.
I'll probably be catching up on the comics during the offseason as well.

I don't think that Walking Dead could pull the ratings that it does if it was just zombie fans watching. This... I know people who are in their 60's and a few older that enjoy this show because it's not just about Zombies, but universal human situations when it comes to drama. I've always been a Zombie fan and this show delivers the Zombies and so much more that entertains me. Like TM and most of us have said TWD is a series you need to watch from the start to really enjoy it, but then it's not for everyone... @tm - Michonne is the Hooded lady and she is a badass from what the comicbook fans say and has been the most requested character in when she'll appear in the series. I like how she has Two armless Walkers with her and it looked like their mouths were either sewn shut or covered up to me...
