(Ad for When Worlds Collide)
The WWA may have been bought by the GWF. This much is true.
But…that doesn’t mean the WWA is going to go quietly into the night.
Coming soon…
WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE
A wrestling Super Card unlike any other. No title matches. Only pride on the line.
No heels.
No heroes.
Just hatred.
Scheduled to Appear:
-BIG MAIN EVENT: Grudge Match between the standard bearer of the old NWA and WWA HARLEY RACE and the face of the GWF ENDGAME!! And, to make sure no one high tails it and runs away (ahem…calling Mr. Race…ahem), this will be a LUMBERJACK MATCH!! (NOTE: If Race wins the World Heavyweight Title against Baba, this will still be a non-title match).
-Giant Baba vs. Kill Prey (Non-Title if Baba is still World Heavyweight Champ). This rivalry dates back to months before, when Kill Prey grew bored of the hunt for the Andromedans, and instead turned his focus upon bagging new game…namely Baba. They have had a series of matches since then that have been simply terrific!
-Bruno Sammartino vs. Godsend. What is Wrestling after all? Is it a noble warrior, always striving to win through honest and fair methods? Or is the win-at-all-costs heel, bent more on humiliating and hurting his opponent than in winning the match honestly? I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see!
-Mayhem in Manhattan: The Original Hardcore Madman The Sheik vs. Wolf! Honestly…’nuff said!
-Tag-Team of the Year Match: The Fabulous Kangaroos vs. The Master Race! Both teams can lay legitimate claim to this award, and perhaps a match to settle this argument is in order!
-George Hackenschmidt vs. Morpheus. “Shooters, Inc.” vs. “Old School”. Which fed truly had…and has for that matter…the best and purest mat men?
More match announcements to come!
Be there!

GWF CLASSIC (#1223) (Author’s Note: Card numbers are changed to now reflect the combination of the GWF cards and the WWA cards.)
August 16, 2008 Madison Square Garden New York
THE FIRST MATCH. Yukon Eric (0) d. The Terrible Turk (0) by DQ in 13:26 (**). A slobberknocker from the opening bell. A bit of bad blood here, stemming from the Turk’s chair shot to Eric’s skull during the melee after the Sheik and Crusher’s match a few cards ago. A fairly even match, although it was basically a brawl, with the action spilling out of the ring on more than one occasion. The frustrating thing about The Turk is, if he turned his attention to actually wrestling, he may in fact rise to be a title contender, certainly for the Heritage Championship. For now, however, he seems content just protecting The Sheik and wreaking havoc upon any perceived enemies of The Sheik.
THE SECOND MATCH. Bullet Bob Armstrong (0) d. Scrap Iron Adam Pearce (1) with a Knee Lift in 2:56 (dud). Pearce was K.O.’d in this bout after Armstrong just walloped him with his knee! There’s a lot of history, and bad blood, between The Armstrongs and The Midnight Express (The Armstrongs stunned The Midnights to win the World Tag Titles a while back, and the Midnights haven’t gotten over it). As Pearce idolizes The Midnight’s manager Jim Cornette, and follows him around like a little puppy, he has become guilty by association in the Armstrong’s eyes. Pearce really wants to win Cornette’s approval, and become a true third member of The Midnight’s. So far, Condrey and Eaton basically tolerate Pearce being around, as Pearce is such a sycophant to Cornette. Bullet Bob in a post in-ring match interview, standing tall over the prone body of Pearce, said he and son Brad would be glad to meet The Midnight Express again, any place and any time!
THE THIRD MATCH. Danny Hodge (2) d. Pepper Gomez (2) with an Oklahoma Side Roll in 12:02 (**1/4). Decent technical match, with Hodge’s skill winning out in the end. These two men used to be tag-team partners a while back, but separated and went their own ways when Hodge became a little jealous of Gomez’s popularity with the fans. It wasn’t meant to be for Pepper tonight, however, and Hodge’s win secures him a spot in the inaugural match for the World Junior Heavyweight Championship against …Mike Quackenbush!
THE FOURTH MATCH. Larry Zbyszko (2) d. Strangler Lewis (3) on a Piledriver in 18:40 (***). This one was a good contest. Zbyszko used his usual questionable tactics, but Lewis would have none of it, and practically forced Zbyszko to wrestle him. The ending saw Zbyszko stun Lewis with a head shot into the turnbuckle, then put him away with the Piledriver. Ol’ Larry is one of the more hated men in the entire wrestling world, but with this victory, combined with his recent performance, he is moving into serious title contention at the moment, maybe even for the World Heavyweight Title!
THE FIFTH MATCH. The Midnight Express (1) d. “Team Canada” Killer Kowalski and Angelo Mosca (2) with a Rocket Launcher in 6:11 (*3/4). This one never truly got going, and The Midnights used their speed and teamwork to overcome the bigger and stronger Canadians. The Midnights are keeping their eyes firmly on the World Tag-Team Titles, but they may be distracted with desires for revenge, as they feel they were robbed of the titles when they lost them a while back to The Armstrongs.
THE SIXTH MATCH. Nick Bockwinkel (2) d. Curt Hennig (2) with a Bockwinkel Sleeper in 20:35 (***). Third solid contest between these two rivals, with Bockwinkel coming out on top in this one. Tricky Nick was up to his crafty best, using everything in his large bag of tricks to overcome a torrid start by Hennig in this contest. Honestly, Curt beat Bockwinkel every which way but loose, but was overcome by Bockwinkel’s guile once Bock took the action outside of the ring! Bad blood really spilled over after the match, as Bockwinkel, having already won with the Sleeper, took the occasion to add more insult to injury by piledriving the almost unconscious Hennig into the mat, in fact injuring Hennig for 4 cards (BOO!)!
THE MAIN EVENT: ONE FALL, 60-MINUTE TIME LIMIT, FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. Giant Baba (0) (5th title defense) d. Harley Race (3) by the dreaded Neckbreaker Drop (honestly….does this move ever miss???) in 9:29 to retain the World Heavyweight Title (**). Match was short but furious, with Race working over Baba’s neck almost from the beginning, but unable to lock on the Piledriver. Baba nailed Race with 2 straight Big Boots, effectively putting Race out, and then crushed him with the Neckbreaker Drop in the end to keep the big gold belt. Baba has had quite a year, and the fans have really taken to this giant from the land of the Rising Sun. He drove Rikidozan out of the then WWA, winning the title to boot, and now he looks towards a big showdown with Kill Prey at When Worlds Collide! If he can come out of that scrap triumphant, he may be the frontrunner for Wrestler of the Year!
That’s it for this star-studded edition of GWF CLASSIC mat fans! Lots of developments coming out of this action packed show. Larry Zbyszko looks to be a real solid contender, perhaps even for Baba’s crown, with this victory over the great Strangler Lewis. And, it should be a real barnburner of a match between Dan Hodge and Mike Quackenbush for the right to be known as the GWF’s first World Junior Heavyweight Champion!
And, what of this war between Curt Hennig and Nick Bockwinkel, which just got escalated a notch or two? Will Hennig be able to exact revenge against Tricky Nick???
We’ll all just have to wait and see, as the action only heats up on GWF CLASSIC!
Be sure to tune in too to the next big edition of GWF CHAMPIONS! Scheduled on the card so far:
-Renegade takes on ½ of the Awesome Studs, Mr. Galaxy, continuing the feud between the Studs and The Space Croppers!
-Paragon takes on Endgame in a match that will surely have GWF World Title implications!
-And, in an amazing Main Event, the Original Hardcore Madman The Sheik and Sabu come to GWF CHAMPIONS to take on the GWF’s “Minister of Mayhem” Wolf and Swarm! Can you imagine the heat between The Sheik and Wolf?? Oh my! The GWF.
Don’tcha Dare Miss It!

GWF CHAMPIONS (#1224)August 19, 2008 Maple Leaf Gardens Toronto, Ontario, Canada THE FIRST MATCH. Renegade (0) d. Mr. Galaxy (1) by the Spinecracker in 3:42 (*). There’s been a long-standing feud between the teams of the Neptunian Space Croppers and Pit Viper and Killer Queen and the Awesome Studs, and unfortunately, the Croppers team has been on the short end of the stick so far! So, Renegade plastering Mr. Galaxy was a welcome change for the team in this match! THE SECOND MATCH. Commander Sam (1) d. Fritz Von Goering (1) with a Running Slingshot in 12:12 (**14). FVG, of GWF CLASSIC, was just demolishing Sam in this match, until Sam nailed the evil German with his Slingshot, and put him away in lightning quick fashion, eliciting a big pop from the MLG faithful! FVG later insisted that Sam had a handful of trunks to help him make the pin, and was very bitter about the loss! THE THIRD MATCH. U.S. Male (2) d. Avarice (3) by Count-Out-of-Ring, after a death-defying moonsault in 16:32 (**). Second straight win for Male over the crown prince of Tarkania. U.S. Male really showed a good command of the ring in this match, and proved that he is at least a solid I/C contender! THE FOURTH MATCH. Bounty Hunter (1) d. The Incredible Badger (1) with a pin using a handful of trunks in 12:41(**1/2). Badger was livid after the match, as he’d been holding his own with the bigger man, and as he protested to the referee…Hunter snuck up behind him and nailed him with a steel chair, knocking Badger out cold! Boo!! Badger suffered a concussion, and will be out 6 cards. Hunter smiled a grim smile, and seemed to delight in injuring yet another Andromedan! The war between the Hunters and Andromedans continues, and its really getting hot! THE FIFTH MATCH. Mr. Bloat (2) d. Jack Hood (1) by Cruel & Unusual in 5:16 (*3/4). Third match between these two classic brawlers, both of the first two matches ended in bloody, time limit draws! But not this one, as Bloat used his disgusting finisher to end it fairly quickly, then used a foreign object to carve up Hood’s already sliced and diced forehead, injuring Hood for 4 cards! The battle to settle once and for all the GWF’s toughest brawler continues! THE SIXTH MATCH. And folks, this one was a dandy! Endgame (2) and “The Big Man” Paragon (4) battled to a 30:00 time limit draw (****). This was just a fantastic power-style match between two of the top contenders for the GWF World Championship! Both men gave no quarter, and the match just waged back and forth with neither warrior gaining complete control. Endgame did get 2 nearfall attempts in the final minute, but couldn’t put The Big Man down! Nothing is settled between these two, and it may take a while for both combatants to lick their wounds from this one! THE MAIN EVENT. Yowsa, talk about a wild one that didn’t even get going! Wolf & Swarm (1) d. The Sheik and Sabu (0) by DQ after an Arabian Facebuster in just 1:33 (dud). It was clear that Swarm had been busted open under his mask, and he was pretty out of it after getting nailed by Sabu’s AFB! Sheik and Wolf just tore into one another with a vengeance after the bell, and it took nearly 5 minutes for security to get the ugly scene under control! Oh my, GWF fans cannot wait for Wolf and The Sheik to go at it in WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!!That’s it for another great edition of GWF CHAMPIONS wrestling fans! Since nothing was really settled between Endgame and Paragon, Morpheus remains the #1 Contender, and will get his rematch against Varsity for the GWF World Championship on the next edition of Champions! After a classic war between these two over the title, this rematch has all of our fans buzzing…or is that buzzed??
And, tensions only continue to mount between the Andromedans and The Hunters! The rumor mill is starting to speculate that a War Games style match may be on the horizon between these two warring factions!
Also, be sure to follow events as things are really picking steam moving towards WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE! This card promises to be nothing less than a full-fledged war, with reputations and honor at stake! Will we see Commander Sam and Fritz Von Goering going at it again?? There are still a few matches to be announced for this blockbuster card!
And finally, be sure to catch the next star-studded edition of GWF CLASSICS! [/color]Scheduled so far: -Chris Hero and Dick Hutton in a rematch (Hero won the first one in surprise fashion!) -Dan Severn and The Mountie meet for a fourth time (this has been one of the most unexpected, yet fantastic, feuds I’ve had in quite some time) to try and decide a victor in this feud (all 3 previous matches have ended in draws!). -The inaugural World Junior Heavyweight Championship will be held, pitting Dan Hodge against Mike Quackenbush in this historic contest! -The Sheik and The Crusher in another rematch! -And The Vachons make their first defense of their World Tag-Team Championship against the Fabulous Kangaroos! The GWF. Don’tcha Dare Miss It![/i]

GWF CLASSIC (#1225)
August 23, 2008 Hammerstein Ballroom New York, NY
THE FIRST MATCH. Arik Cannon (2) d. J.D. Michaels (0) by DQ in 13:07 (**). In a battle of junior heavies, Michaels seemed to have his way with “The Anarchist”, at times really muscling the smaller man around the ring. Michaels displayed a bit of a mean streak, as in the end, he took Cannon outside and rammed his head into the ring steps. ‘Guess Michaels is quite serious in his “take no prisoners” attitude, as he drives towards a Junior Heavyweight title shot!
THE SECOND MATCH. Iron Mike DiBiase (0) d. Brad Armstrong (1) with an Abdominal Stretch in 11:08 (**). Another battle of junior heavies in this match. Iron Mike has been one of the better junior heavies in GWF/WWA history, and there is nobody tougher. His past battles with Dan Hodge have been tremendous. Armstrong gave Iron Mike all he could handle in this one, but once DiBiase locked in the Abdominal Stretch, that was all she wrote. Armstrong made a fatal error in this match, trying to mix it up with Iron Mike earlier. Nobody mixes it up with Iron Mike, Brad! Sheesh…will they ever learn?!
THE THIRD MATCH. In a return bout, Chris Hero (0) d. Richard Hutton (1) with a Hero’s Welcome in 17:05 (**3/4). For Hero, this is the second straight victory over Hutton, humiliating the former Oklahoma great. Hero, as always accompanied at ringside by manager Larry Sweeney (AUTHOR”S NOTE: Sweeney plays a manager/wrestler role in my fed, like Heenan used to do back in the day), was his obnoxious best in this contest, taunting Hutton early on as he nailed him with chops. Hutton fired back with a series of moves to Hero’s back, including the dreaded COWBOY BACKBREAKER, but couldn’t put the brash Hero down for the count. Hero is just too talented to leave the door open for long, and he took advantage of it by putting Hutton away. Hero and Sweeney are setting their sites on Tiger Mask, and his Heritage Heavyweight Title! With 2 quality wins over Hutton, Hero may just get a shot!
THE FOURTH MATCH. And finally, in one of the craziest and most unlikely feuds, Dan Severn (1) d. The Mountie (4) with a Cross Body Block in 10:42 (**1/2). At the heart of this match, like many matches this year in the GWF, is the age old argument of what is great wrestling? Is it a great technician like a Severn? Or is it a gimmick wrestler like The Mountie? Tonight, the great technician won out. Oh, this has been a very evenly matched rivalry, with The Mountie inflicting his own fair share of punishment on Severn. Severn cannot stand The Mountie, thinks he represents all of what is “bad” in professional wrestling, with his loud obnoxious gimmick, and he has privately and publicly steamed at not being able to get the best of him. Tonight, however, it was Severn who had his hand raised. Severn was not to be denied this evening, and came out like a house of fire. In one particularly telling sequence, with The Mountie pinned against the ropes, Severn bludgeoned his foe with a series of very stiff forearm uppercuts. The Mountie didn’t stand a chance after that, having been knocked senseless! Yes, there may be a place for gimmicks in wrestling, but if Dan Severn has anything to say about it, it won’t be a prominent place!
THE FIFTH MATCH: THE INNAUGURAL WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. And it was an upset wrestling fans!! “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush (3) d. Dan Hodge (3) with the Quackendriver II in 17:11 to capture the first World Junior Heavyweight Championship (***1/2). Quackenbush came in as the heavy underdog, but there was plenty of fight in that dog, and he stunned Hodge to capture this historic first Junior Title! Some experts noted that Hodge came in a little overconfident, and that if the two were to meet again, the results would definitely be different. Hodge for one would like to prove that Quack’s win was a fluke. But for those who witnessed this match, and saw Quack crush Hodge with two straight Quackendriver II’s, it hardly seemed like a fluke win. All hail the new champ!
THE SIXTH MATCH. The Sheik (3) d. The Crusher (4) with a Fireball in 15:17 (***3/4). What a great brawl! In this return contest, it was The Crusher pressing the early advantage, pummeling The Sheik with punches and forearms from every direction. But, The Sheik, with the aid of his manager Abdullah Farouk, nailed The Crusher with not one, but TWO Fireballs in the course of this battle, the second one causing The Crusher to writhe in agony on the mat! Trash and debris rained down upon the ring, as the fans were incensed that one of their favorites, The Crusher, had suffered such a terrible defeat at the hands of the hated Sheik! This reporter wonders if the answer to what makes great wrestling is The Sheik and The Crusher, but there is no question that it is ever dramatic! This one’s going to get wild folks, so hang on!
THE MAIN EVENT: ONE FALL, 60-MINUTE TIME LIMIT, FOR THE WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP. The Fabulous Kangaroos (0) dethroned The Vachons (5) (0 Title defenses) with the Body Block Catapult in 18:39 to become the first 2-time holders of this prestigious title (**3/4). The Vachons were really never competitive in this contest, despite hanging in there as long as they did, as the frontrunners for the Tag-Team of the year The Kangaroos were a well-oiled machine in route to their 2nd World Tag Titles. For The Vachons, their title reign is very short-lived, and very disappointing. The Kangaroos, however, hope that this second title reign is at least as long as their first one, which was one of the longer reigns in history! The Kangaroos, who have been embroiled in an almost year-long feud with The Midnight Express, will more than likely end up defending their titles against Cornette’s boys. If history is any gauge, these contests will be dynamite!
Whew…another great night of matches is in the book!! Fans are already starting to clamor for Quackenbush and Hodge to have a rematch, as those in attendance were stunned to see Quack come away with the gold belt!
And what of the Kangaroos, now virtually all but assured of winning the Tag-Team of the Year with their historic 2nd championship? Will they put their belts on the line against their most hated rivals, the Midnight Express?
And will The Crusher be able to recover from not one but TWO Fireballs to the kisser, courtesy of The Sheik? Looks like The Crusher will need to consult with The Sheik’s old foe Killer Kowalski on how to defeat the Syrian madman!
For these and many other answers, keep it tuned to GWF CLASSIC!
And, be sure to catch the next action packed edition of GWF CHAMPIONS! Scheduled on the card so far:
-Big Six-Man Tag action, pitting Pit Viper & The Neptunian Space Croppers against blood rivals Killer Queen & The Awesome Studs!
-George Hackenschmidt defends the honor of GWF CLASSIC against The Mighty Grogan!
-And, in a highly anticipated rematch, GWF World Champion Varsity (the world’s greatest wrestler…just ask him!) defends his title against Morpheus! If this match is anything like their past matches, this should be a barn burner!
And keep watching for updates on the card for WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!
The GWF.
Don’tcha Dare Miss It.

GWF CHAMPIONS (#1226)
August 25, 2008 Madison Square Garden New York, NY
THE FIRST MATCH. “Irish” Pat Flanagan (1) d. The Belfast Bruiser (0) by DQ in just 4:16 (*). Temper, temper Bruiser! The Bruiser has so much built up resentment and downright jealousy towards Flanagan; it really is coloring his effort and clouding his judgment. This match actually spilled out of the ring within the first minute, and fists were a’ flying! Match ended with Bruiser sending Flanagan into the ring post, and busting him wide open. The ref had enough at that point! The Belfast Bruiser has taken a shine to Shylock, another bruising and brawling type wrestler. Both men have no real love towards the group called “Old School” (Morpheus, Mighty Grogan, and Flanagan). It’s another contrast in styles, the grounded mat men vs. the brawlers. And, its yet another rivalry that begs the question: What is wrestling after all?
THE SECOND MATCH. Pit Viper & The Neptunian Space Croppers (3) d. Killer Queen & The Awesome Studs (Vanity and Mr. Galaxy) (3) with a Venom Sting in 13:17 (**1/2). This has been just a great team feud in the latter part of this year, initiating from a hotly contested match between Viper and Queen earlier on that ended in a DQ. This match was pretty darn even, as most of this feud has been. For the Croppers especially, this victory was much needed, as they have unfortunately experienced a recent string of losses. Queen, the leader of his group, has promised he’ll be bringing in some “reinforcements” to squash Viper and The Croppers!
THE THIRD MATCH. And what a war this one was! Battering Ram (0) struck a major blow for the Andromedans in their battle against “The Hunters” by defeating Nefarus (7) by Count-Out-Of-Ring in 28:43 (****). While Nefarus didn’t rack up any fatigue tokens on Ram, he still punished Ram early on using his incredibly strong legs with dropkicks from all angles. Ram then pulverized Nefarus with all manner of forearm smashes, punches, and slams, finally tossing Nefarus out of the ring, and watching with satisfaction as a bloody Nefarus couldn’t answer the count. The war between these 2 groups is reaching a fever pitch. Post-match, Battering Ram did confirm that The Andromedans have challenged The Hunters to a Cage Match using Survivor-Style Rules. This feud will be settled one way or another, and it looks like its heading towards a bloody conclusion!
THE FOURTH MATCH. Tauran & Anivar (5) d. The Medics (Dr. Payne and The Surgeon) (6) with a Cross-Body Block in 17:46 (***). Another solid match between these feuding teams. Payne is a solid I/C contender, and poses a real threat to Tauran, as he has defeated him in the past. There was a great exchange in this match between Payne and Tauran in the middle of the ring, with both men pulling out some pretty high-powered offense in an effort to best their rival. This time, it was Tauran who came out the victor. The Medics are arguably the number one contenders for the Tag-Team Titles right now, even with this loss. If not for the domination by The Master Race (and Fabulous Kangaroos) this year, The Medics would be in the discussion for Tag-Team of the Year.
(A taped interview with Tricky Nick Bockwinkel is shown. In the interview, Bockwinkel states very clearly and concisely that the old WWA was truly the better of the two promotions, and was in fact the home of “true professional wrestling”. Bockwinkel poo poo’s Endgame especially, calling him the “Big Yellow Cheese”, mocking his ring attire of yellow trunks and high yellow boots, stating quite clearly that Endgame is not the wrestler Bockwinkel is. Bockwinkel proclaims he has no love for Harley Race, but that it will be one time he will actually be rooting for Race when he takes on Endgame at WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE. Bockwinkel challenges Endgame himself, telling Endgame he’ll meet him any place, any time, to prove that the WWA was truly the better of the two promotions.)
THE FIFTH MATCH. Justice (0) d. Saboteur (3) with the Shock Probation in 7:59 (**). Justice really manhandled Saboteur in this contest, hitting him with two straight Shock Probations to win this match. Saboteur, who has been allied with Godsend, Nightmare, and Jack Hood, ate some humble pie in this contest courtesy of Justice’s boots! Justice strikes a blow for Endgame’s crusade!
THE SIXTH MATCH. George Hackenschmidt (2) d. The Mighty Grogan (2) with a Twisting Heel Hook in 26:00 (***1/4). Very good technical match! In fact, the first 10 minutes of this was a clinic in great chain wrestling! Hack worked over Grogan’s leg and his midsection with the body scissors, although he was unable to lock in his Russian Bear Hug. Grogan did get a little rough for a while in response, but the match settled back into largely a great exhibition of scientific wrestling. Grogan has now lost to both Hackenschmidt and Severn, so the battle between “Shooters, Inc.” and “Old School” is at the moment, decidedly one-sided!
(Endgame is interviewed, and accepts, without any hesitation, Bockwinkel’s challenge. In fact, Endgame states he will see Tricky Nick on the next edition of GWF CLASSIC! Oh my!)
THE MAIN EVENT: ONE FALL, 60-MINUTE TIME LIMIT, FOR THE GWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Varsity (2) (2nd title defense) d. Morpheus (7) with the PCD in 27:57 (***). Another solid match between these two warriors! It looked like it was going to be Morpheus’s match early on, as he went for two Trip to Hades early on, but was unable to put Varsity (The World’s Greatest Wrestler…just ask him!) away. Varsity slowly re-established control of the match, and in the end, won going away, busting Morpheus open. Varsity delights in humiliating Morpheus, as he thinks as one of the great “pure” (ahem…really Varsity…pure??) wrestlers of the world, Morpheus should’ve included him in his stable. Something tells me this war isn’t over yet!
And that fans wraps up another edition of GWF CHAMPIONS! Wow…Endgame has accepted Bockwinkel’s challenge, and will meet him at GWF CLASSIC! That ought to be quite a match GWF fans! And somebody from “Old School” needs to strike a blow for the GWF’s reputation soon, or “Shooters, Inc.” is going to run away with this argument over which fed had the better wrestlers!
Varsity and Morpheus continue to wage their own private war over the GWF Championship! Each match between them has been an all out fight to the finish. Varsity is looking like he may have a strong championship run in him after all!
There really is a lot of momentum heading into WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE, and just wait until you see who is scheduled to wrestle on the next edition of GWF CLASSIC:
-Colossus takes on Killer Kowalski in another fight for GWF/old WWA pride!
-Harley Race takes on Exodus (Endgame’s friend and ally), and Race has said this match will show Endgame why he should be worried!
-Endgame and Nick Bockwinkel will lock horns in a special Challenge Match!
-And, in a giant tag-team Main Event, Bruno Sammartino and his friend Yukon Eric take on Godsend and Nightmare! Bruno and Godsend are sceduled to meet soon at WWC so this should be a fantastic preview!
The GWF.

(Advertisement for WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE)
The WWA may have been bought by the GWF. This much is true.
But…that doesn’t mean the WWA is going to go quietly into the night.
Coming soon…
When Worlds Collide
A wrestling Super Card unlike any other. No title matches. Only pride on the line.
No heels.
No heroes.
Just hatred.
Scheduled to Appear:
(card subject to change)
Added to the card:
-“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase vs. “The Working Man’s Hero” K.O. Keller! Class warfare erupts, as Keller looks to settle a few scores!
-Commander Sam & U.S. Male vs. Baron Von Raschke & Fritz Von Goering. [/b]The pride of the United States takes on those evil Germans, Von Raschke & Von Goering!
More match announcements to come!
Be there!

GWF CLASSIC (#1227)
August 29, 2008 Manhattan Center New York, NY
THE FIRST MATCH. The Bodydonnas (0) d. Steve Corino and Ricky Landell (4) with a Neck Drop on Ropes in 16:11 (**). The fans can’t decide if they want to love the Bodydonnas, or hate them. In this match, however, the cocky Bodydonnas showed their rather heelish side, and drew the fans’ ire.
THE SECOND MATCH. Pepper Gomez (1) d. The Terrible Turk (0) by DQ in 11:20 (**). The Turk injured fan favorite Pepper 4 cards with a steel chair smash to Pepper’s noggin! Oh my, The Turk has really declared war on Yukon Eric now, injuring Eric’s little buddy!
THE THIRD MATCH. Angelo Mosca (0) d. John Tolos (4) with a Sleeper in 13:25 (**3/4). Finally…a finish between these two after 4 matches marred by DQ’s and ending in draws! Mosca tore into hated rival Tolos right from the opening bell, and punished the Golden Greek! This has been a good little feud between these two!
THE FOURTH MATCH. Colossus (0) d. Killer Kowalski (1) with a Cyborg Deathblow in 4:02 (*). Down went the Killer, and Colossus was ebullient after such a big win, striking a blow for the old GWF!
THE FIFTH MATCH. Harley Race (4) d. Exodus (3) with a Pile driver in 28:02 in a terrific contest (****). Race was nearly done for when his partner Larry “The Axe” Hennig ran to the ring and made a big pin save! This infuriated Exodus, but while the ref was dealing with Hennig, Race nailed Exodus from behind. After that, it was just a matter of Race putting the Angelic One away. Race proclaimed to Endgame that was how he did business, and Endgame better watch his back come WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!
THE SIXTH MATCH. Nick Bockwinkel (1) d. Endgame (6) with a Bockwinkel Sleeper in 20:28 (***). Another big blow was struck by the old WWA, as Bockwinkel fells the great Endgame! Of course, Tricky Nick used every trick in his considerable book to defeat Endgame, but as Bockwinkel said post-match, a win’s a win. Endgame was consoled by Exodus, but it didn’t do much to salve his wound. Both men were just outsmarted tonight by two of the WWA’s greatest!
THE MAIN EVENT: Godsend & Nightmare (0) d. Bruno Sammartino & Yukon Eric (7) by DQ in 16:56 (**1/2). Yukon bled a bucket tonight, as Godsend and Nightmare really isolated him and worked him over! The match ended up as a Pier 6 brawl, with all four men going at it in the ring, just tearing into one another! Bruno chased Godsend out of the ring area, and was so furious, he couldn’t even speak in a post-match interview! Oh my, the fans are really starting to anticipate the big Sammartino-Godsend showdown!
What a night!!! So much hostility has boiled over as we count down to WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE! Endgame got frankly outsmarted tonight, but can he gather his composure for his big showdown with Race?
And, Bruno is so mad, it will take all of his will not to run down Godsend before the big night!
The wrestling world is set for a cataclysmic showdown, and the big night is now on the horizon!
But, before that, be sure to catch the next star-studded edition of GWF CHAMPIONS. Scheduled to appear so far:
-Tricks takes on Iron Mane, as the sadistic clown continues his war against all things Andromeda.
-Lance At-Las takes on The Main Event, a cocky newcomer in the mold of Pegasus and Paragon!
-“The Fabulous” Kurt Anderson returns to the GWF for a big showdown with one of the all time GWF greats, Alpha Force, that will certainly have World Title implications!
-And, Tauran defends his Intercontinental Championship against Wraith in the big Main Event!
The GWF.
Don’tcha Dare Miss It!
