Excellent debut Book and Jim Powers over the Axe is huge, but the match between Acid & Liger sounded awesome and I'd like to see a rematch one day... I agree with Crimson here. Acid/Liger II!

Great debut show, the only way the Main Event can be seen as a dud, is it's positioning on the card. If that match opened the show the fans would have been on their feet with the shocking outcome. But as a Main Event outcome I would leave a sour taste in my mouth.

See, I always get the result and back-fill the details later. There's no reason to take that 3 moves literally unless you wanted to create an angle out of it. Just my two cents, not that you asked.

Interesting take on the main event rating Sinclair and Joe. I base my match ratings on the action that takes place between the bells. I usually use the final number of pin tokens as a base and then adjust up or down according on how the action felt. I also factor in things like high spots, momentum changes and blood. In this case there was only one pin fatigue and the action was one sided, therefore a dud rating was given.
The crowd reaction was more one of shock and then disappointment. There was a lot of expectation for a classic and then fans we given a squash instead.
Thanks again for checking out my fed. Details on card two will be coming later in the week as the WWL Title tournament is about to get underway

The action in the semi-final more than made up for the quick main event. Maybe they had to get out before curfew time? Anyway a fun debut show, Bookerbill, and I agree with the others that Jim Powers over Larry Hennig was huge. I am curious to see how Powers fares in his next match.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
News and Views: A somewhat controversial opening night with several disqualification finishes in the opening half of the card . . . The major buzz coming out of the night was Jim Powers massif upset win and the shocking quick finish to the main event . . . We are pleased to report that Bill Apter was checked out by WWL medical staff and was able to return to ringside to cover the last two bouts of the card. It has been assumed that Sabu was the one who decked by Apter and Rob Van Dam with a chair but with the lights out, no one knows for certain. Commissioner Charlie Cox was not pleased that Sabu, who had just signed a contract hours before the card, made a surprize appearance and confronted RVD. The Commissioner has promised to keep a close eye on the situation . . . Up Next, we World Wrestling Legends heads to the Capital Arena in Washington DC for the first round of the WWL Championship Tournament featuring the following bouts:
• Frank Gotch v. Mike Quackenbush • Sabu v. Bob Orton Sr. • Johnny Saint v. Jushin Liger • Rob Van Dam v. Nigel McGuinness • Ed Lewis v. Hillbilly Jim • Buddy Rogers v. Mad Dog Vachon • Bobby Eaton v. Kevin Steen • Tracey Smothers v. Austin Aries
As always, predictions are always welcome. I am picking Ed Lewis to make a big comeback with his triple finisher and take the gold. Bobby Eaton is my darkhorse

I want Aries to win but realistically I have to pick Gotch.
Where do you make the weight cutoff for Liger's mechanic? A lot these guys could fall under that and Jushin would obviously be a stronger pick.
