Would love to see Steen or Aries take this.........
But I think I gotta go with Rogers, he is tough to beat.

Great selections everyone
@ aceldamas – 230 pounds. I was actually stoked when Legends International came up in the draw and I could take Liger especially with Quackenbush, Saint and Acid in the fed.

Card 02 – Washington, DC – The Capital Arena – September 13, 2013
World Wrestling Legends Title Tournament – Round One
Frank Gotch v. Mike Quackenbush The fans give both men a great reaction. Quackenbush is on fire from the opening bell and then dives onto Gotch at ringside earning a huge pop. The action returns to the floor a second time and this time both men exchange forearms. The referee comes out but Quackenbush mistakenly hits the official with a chop and earns a disqualification. The fans hate the call and the night begins on a sour note. Time 0:39 *
Sabu v. Bob Orton Sr. Orton is able to uses his power to push around Sabu but Sabu is able to find a counter for an attempted shoulder tackle (ch) and dominates the balance of the bout with his unorthodox attack. Orton powers out of a CAMEL CLUTCH but a TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT hits the mark. Orton is beat but Rob Van Dam hit the ring and attacks Sabu. The bell sounds and Orton has been disqualified for Van Dam’s interference. The fans are on their feet as Van Dam chases Sabu to the back. Time: 2:20 * ½
Johnny Saint v. Jushin Liger Both men receive flowers as part of a Puroresu ceremony prior to the bell. There is extensive international press at ringside for this one. As expected, these two put on a display of excellence from start to finish. Early on Liger had no answer to Saint’s mat skills as the competitor from the United Kingdom had a counter for everything and prevented Liger for unleashing his speed. Liger was able to turn things around with some counters of his own and wore down Saint with a series of kicks, strikes and holds. Saint survived a FISHERMAN’S BUSTER but a second one sends Liger into the next round. Time: 4:26 ****
Rob Van Dam v. Nigel McGuinness Everyone was wondering the same thing… when would Sabu attack? Sabu never had the opportunity as this one was over quickly. Van Dam caught McGuinness charging to the corner with an elbow to the chest and then hit the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH for the win. Sabu came to ringside and Van Dam dove out onto him bring the crowd to their feet. Both men brawled their way to the back. Time: 0:29. *
Jim Powers is Bill Apter’s guest on the Hot Seat and Powers thanks the fans for their support. Powers calls his win over Larry Hennig last week the biggest moment of his singles career before Hennig come out of nowhere and decks Powers with a steel chair. Apter gets out of Dodge quickly as Hennig then assaults Powers with a series of chair shots drawing huge heat.
Ed “Strangler” Lewis v. Hillbilly Jim Lewis is clearly not is good mood after dropping his bout to Frank Gotch last week and appears ready to take things out on Gary Michael Cappetta but Jim storms the ring and comes to Cappetta’s aid. Jim’s momentum is stopped when Lewis whips him into the ring steps. Jim is stunned and Lewis attacks with a series of STRANGLER’S HEADLOCKS for the win. Time: 0:37. *
Buddy Rogers w/Elegant Eddie Fyne v. Mad Dog Vachon The fans are all over the Nature Boy as he makes his way to the ring and his strutting only cranks up the heat more. Those who were hoping that Vachon would do some damage left disappointed as Rogers picked up the win in only a couple of moves earning the quick submission with a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Time: 0:16. dud
Bobby Eaton w/Jim Cornette v. Kevin Steen Last week Steen was booed. This week he has a majority of the fans support. It just shows how much the fans dislike Cornette. Mr. Wrestling gains more fan support as he battles against both his opponent and interference from Cornette to somehow set the pace. Steen even kicks out after an ALABAMA JAM when the fans thought it was over. Steen uses a crossface to wear down Eaton and then plants him with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER for the upset win. Time: 2:59. ** ½
Tracey Smothers v. Austin Aries No one was really able to gain the upper hand in the opening moments but Smothers wins a brawl on the floor and then immediately puts Aries away with a JAWJACKER. Time: 1:15 dud

Great selections everyone @ aceldamas – 230 pounds. I was actually stoked when Legends International came up in the draw and I could take Liger especially with Quackenbush, Saint and Acid in the fed. When you say you we're stoked when Legends International came up, I was curious how you go about setting up your roster, and how you go,about choosing when to bing new guys in. There are so many great cards, I always feel like I'm going to leave someone out, and haven't found a good method of choosing rosters, and when to add more wrestlers. I tend to just keep using my favorites, and sometimes I don't get good variety. Fun start to your fed by the way. I have read your other Feds in the past as well.

Thanks Hotfuzz
I shared your frustration about choosing competitors. After several reboots this is what I did this time. It may seem a bit crazy but I was happy with the results. I simply wrote out each game addition on a separate piece of paper and placed them in a pot for a randem draw. The first draw was a main event wrestler, heel or face. The second draw was a main event heel if the first was a face or face if the first draw was a heel. The first six draws were main events and the last six were curtain jerkers. The balance was mid card talent. In each set, the top 25% are main events and the bottom 25% are preliminary wrestlers. The limited edition cards in both LOTF and LOW each comprised their set with a separate entry into the draw. When a competitor such as Bobby Eaton is drafted, you have the option of taking his tag team partner at the same time or not. In my fed I took Stan Lane to complete the Midnight Express but left Trent Acid as a solo.
Changes to the roster will take place after each month. I am going to use the federation management chart off the promoter resources board. I will once again draw the set at random and then pick the competitor from that set that beat fits the sceniario described in the chart. If it comes up my choice I will always replace a main event with a main event etc.

Cool to see the WWL title tournament underway and my pick, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, has moved on to the second round. Interesting way of picking out the roster, thanks for sharing that.

Liked that my common sense pick of Rogers is moving on Sorry LH but my pick of Gotch is taking it all the way! You are probably right Ace. I am sure Booker's dice don't like me anymore than my own do.
