Thanks for the feedback
@nuke: RIkidozan has always done well in these tournaments knocking off Lou Thesz twice.
@ Cruefan: Severn v. Muldon was crazy and will be hard to beat as far as match quality goes
Rikidozan (4) v. Ilio DiPaolo (61)
There is lengthy Puroresu ceremony to start things off. Neither man can get anything going with holds and counters so Rikidozan moves to head butts and strikes to gain the upper hand. DiPaolo gets spilled to the floor with a back drop but manages to get control during a brawl on the floor. Rikidozan is nearly counted out after a body slam on the floor (R5/P1) and DiPaolo is ready with an AIRPLANE SPIN when the action returns to the ring. Rikidozan kicks out of the cover (R11/P4) but DiPaolo executes a perfect rope climb headlock takeover for a near fall (R6/P3). DiPaolo is able to make use of his size advantage to press the action. He sends Rikidozan into the ropes and the Japanese legend rebound with a perfect cross body block. DiPaolo kicks out (R11/P3) but Rikidozan strikes with THUNDEROUS CHOPS putting DiPaolo down. 1, 2, 3/kick out (R6/P6). The bell sounds and Rikidozan moves on while DiPaolo is left questioning the three count.
Up Next Masked Superstar II (29) w/Bobby Heenan v. Don Muraco (36) w/Mr. Fuji. With both The Brain and the Devious One at ringside, there will lots for the fans to watch

Great action over the last several matches. This is what I get for not checking the boards too often when I am not working. Keep up the great work Bill

Masked Superstar II (29) w/Bobby Heenan v. Don Muraco (36) w/Mr. Fuji
A couple of big men battled it out next with Superstar taking the early lead with a throat drop on ropes for a near fall right out of the gate (R5/P3). The action goes to the floor and Muraco wins the brawl. The match goes back outside again and Muraco hits a falling face slam at ringside off the apron. Superstar is barely able to regain the ring (R8/P2) and Muraco is ready with a neckbreaker for a two count (R6/P3). An Asiatic Spike slows down Superstar II even more. Superstar is finally able to mount some offense including a nasty looking mouth ripper and a full nelson suplex (ch) that gets a one count (R11/P4). Muraco goes into the rails at ringside and is busted open. A reverse bearhug squeezes the blood from Muraco. Bill Apter is snapping photos that will no doubt make it to the pages of his magazines. Both men go for a clothesline and collide in the middle of the ring. Muraco is up first and toppled Superstar II with a deathjump smash. The action goes outside and Muraco runs Superstar into the rails head first and this time the referee calls for the disqualification. Heenan collects his man and they stumble to the back leaving a bloody and frustrated Muraco to argue with the official.
Up next, two members of the Machines battle as Blackjack Mulligan (20) takes on Masked Superstar (45)

Dido. I was hoping Muraco would pull it out. One of my favourite heels from when I first started to watch WWF back in the day.

Great match. I could have gone either way. Was Big John Studd the man under the mask for Masked Superstar II? If so, can we get him in the game?

Blackjack Mulligan (20) v. Masked Superstar (45)
Mulligan’s size gives him a slight advantage at the bell in this battle but Superstar is able to recover from a mid ring collision and a COBRA NECKBREAKER nearly gives Superstar the win (R6/P2). The action goes outside and Superstar drops the big cowboy with a chair shot that busts Mulligan open. Mulligan is able to regain the ring to avoid a count out (R6/P3) before a head butt opens up Mulligan even more. A bloody Mulligan is able to kick out after a Superstar Clothesline (R8/P4). Superstar mounts the corner and nails a deathjump smash. He goes to the top again but this time Mulligan moves and Superstar crashes to the mat. Huge pop! Mulligan covers and Superstar kicks out (R7/P3). Mulligan calls for the CLAW HOLD and the fans are roaring. Superstar is able to make it to the ropes (R7/P6) before the match goes back to the floor. Superstar wins the fight at ringside and then drops Mulligan with a second chairshot across the back. The fans are all over the referee. Back inside Superstar connects with a SPINNING NECKBREAKER but Mulligan refuses to lose (R8/P5). Back on the floor and Mulligan is able to whip Superstar into the ringpost. The bell sounds the Mulligan has been disqualified! The fans are ready to riot as Superstar quickly escapes to the dressing room with a first round victory in controversial fashion. Up Next Bruiser Brody (13) v. John Pesek (52)

Both Masked Superstars advance via DQ wins. Amazing as i would have picked both Muraco and Mulligan to advance in those bouts. It was cool to see Rikidozan move on and I'm really looking forward to Bruiser Brody vs. John Pesek. I'm pulling for Brody but Pesek is a real tough customer as well.
