cruefan68 – Thanks for the feedback and the upsets on card 8 were a lot of fun to play out. Londos v. Hodge has been great so far and I would like to build to an best of three match or perhaps an Iron Man Match between those two. A federation management chart is chart I came across in the promoter resources section several years ago. Essentially the chart takes into consideration the size of your roster and then based on your dice roll, provides you with instruction as to how many wrestlers who will lose and/or gain. A secondary chart then guides you as to whom those wrestlers might be. I have modified the process a bit but I am using the first chart to determine the number of competitors coming and going.
aceldamas – Brody has been all over the place for sure. I have not been able to peg him into a one on one feud yet so he just a roaming wild man for right now.
Card 9 – PWFC Arena
Tyler Black v. Green Ant
These two battled back on card 6 will Black walking away with a very decisive victory. It is more of the same tonight although Ant does get in some offensive moves at the very least. Black gets the pin with a deathjump cross body block (cat’s eyes) to end the really one sided contest. Dud
The Colony (Fire Ant & Solider Ant) v. Dennis Condrey & Larry Zbyszko
On Card 7 these two teams had a hotly contested match that ended inconclusively and were back for some more. Condrey and Zbyszko put on a tag team wrestling clinic cutting off Fire Ant from his corner after Condrey gets a near fall when Ant collides with the buckles in a botched corner splash. Ant takes a beating but is able to finally tag in Solider Ant but the Colony can get nothing going as Zbyszko stops the momentum and takes over the action. Condrey and Zbyszko make great tags keeping Solider Ant in the ring. Ant becomes tangled in the ropes and Condrey moves in and hammers away. The referee steps in but Condrey shoves the official to the mat and earns himself a disqualification (Cat’s eyes!). Condrey is not pleased but the Colony pick up yet another win. Dud
Bruiser Brody v. PWFC Tag Team Champion King Kong Bundy w/Jimmy Hart
Brody hit the ring and Bundy went on the attack but Brody ducked a short clothesline and the trapped Bundy in a figure four leglock (ch). The bell had barely rung when Bundy submits and this one is over (two moves!) Jimmy Hart loses his mind and the fans are not sure what to think but give Brody a solid ovation as he storms to the back. Dud
Tony Atlas v. The Crusher
Rumours have been flying around for several cards about The Crusher’s frustration in the ring as he continues to look for some consistency. The fans give both men a solid ovation and Atlas offers a handshake to get things going and Crusher accepts. There is some tension between the two popular competitors as the match gets underway. Atlas is a bit faster and it gives him the advantage. Crusher traps Atlas in a Crusher Nelson to slow things down. The action goes to the floor and Atlas runs Crusher into the steel post busting Crusher open. The referee quickly calls for a disqualification. Both men continue to brawl until security arrives to break things up. *
Curt Hennig is on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter. Apter immediately asks about the apparent tension between Hennig and his tag team partner and father Larry Hennig. Hennig says that there is tension between every father and son at some point in their lives and it is time for The Axe to accept that his son is grown up. Hennig then cuts a promo on Bruiser Brody blaming him for the Hennig’s loss last week against Global Disasters. Suddenly Larry Zbyszko and Dennis Condrey arrive. They tell the fans that they know firsthand what is like to screwed over by Brody as he cost them their match against the Disasters in the Tag Team Title Tournament. They tell Hennig that Brody has to go and that together, the three of them can do it. Condrey tells Hennig to dump his old man and join a team of winners. This brings out Larry Hennig and the fans are ready for an all-out war. Suddenly Bruiser Brody hits the ring and clears everyone out with his chain.
Team Extreme (Jerry Lynn & 2 Cold Scorpio) v. American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)
After picking up a couple of big singles wins last card, Team Extreme are back in tag team action against the debuting American Wolves. These two team match up well and the action is tight to start. Richards and Lynn put on a clinic of counters before Scorpio shakes things up. Richards shocks Scorpio with a perfect cross body when Scorpio sends him into the ropes but can only get a 1 count. Edwards is in and connects with a deathjump before the Wolves execute a superkick/German suplex and get the three count on Scorpio (Cat’s Eyes!). The Wolves get the win in their first PWFC contest. *
Abraham Lincoln v. Mr. Fuji
We get a solid USA chant as the action gets underway and Fuji is not pleased. Fuji dominates his opponent from the outset with chops and thrusts however Lincoln kicks out after a BANZAI DROP and the fans explode. Drawing on the support from ringside, Lincoln makes a great comeback picking up several near falls. A THROAT LIFT SLAM only gets two however and the action goes to the floor. Lincoln runs Fuji into the ringpost and the fans love it. Back inside, Lincoln completes his comeback with a THROAT LIFT SLAM for the win. *** ½
PWFC Tag Team Champion One Man Gang w/Jimmy Hart v. Larry Hennig
This rematch from Card 7 was as hard hitting as the fans had hoped for and then some. Hennig took the battle to Gang from the outset and had the fans cheering each blow. Gang turned things around with his size advantage. The battle went back and forth in and out of the ring with neither man being able to get a pin attempt. Hennig goes into the rails and is busted open. The referee lets them battle. The match goes back to the floor again and this time Gang cracks Hennig with a chair shot and earns a disqualification. Gang then rolls Hennig back into the ring and hits a 747 SPLASH. Curt Hennig arrives but is quickly overwhelmed by Gang. King Kong Bundy arrives and hits a splash of his own on Larry Hennig. Finally, Bruiser Brody arrives and clears out the Natural Disasters and Jimmy Hart from ringside. The fans are roaring. Brody then shocks ringside by decking Hennig with a big boot to the face. Brody tells Hennig that was running his mouth and leaves ringside to a mixed reaction of cheers and jeers. **
PWFC Title Match – Randy Savage (ch) w/Sherri Martel v. Steve Williams
Williams has the fans behind him as he starts off the match and gets the early advantage. A wicked looking lariat gets Williams a two count as Savage has a hard time dealing with his challenger’s power. Savage turns things round with his quickness including a flying axe handle to the floor. Macho Man picks up a near fall of his own after a neckbreaker clothesline and a second one later after a knee drop. The action goes back and forth but the fans can sense the Macho Man pulling away. Savage connects with a running knee to the back that sent Williams crashing into the corner. Savage makes the cover and gets the three count with a handful of tights. Impressive title defense for the Macho Man. ** ½
