Card 1 – PWFC Arena
Commissioner Charlie Cox comes to the ring holding the PWFC Title and welcomes the fans to the first card of PWFC wrestling. He tells us that tonight eight men will compete to become the first PWFC champion in a single elimination tournament. He also tells the fans as an added bonus he has signed a special six man tag team encounter and in addition Bill Apter will host a live Hot Seat interview with The Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart.
PWFC Title Tournament – Round One
Abraham Lincoln v. Rikidozan The fans are solidly behind Lincoln and we get a load USA chant at the start of the contest. Rikidozan is not impressed but Lincoln draws on the support to get the early advantage. Rikidozan is able down Lincoln with THUNDEROUS CHOPS for a near fall before the match goes to the floor. Lincoln eats the rails and the fans are all over the referee. Rikidozan takes a clearly dazed Lincoln back inside and puts his shoulders to the mat with a HIPLOCK to advance in the tournament. * ½
The Crusher v. Steve Williams A couple real tough men battled next and the fans were buzzing before the bell even rang. Williams wrestled a very smart match using his speed to get the advantage and hitting his power moves at all the right spots. Crusher shows he will be hard to beat kicking out after consecutive OKLAHOMA STAMPEDES. Williams avoids going to ringside with Crusher and continues to dominate the action using a series of figure four leglocks (ch) to weaken Crusher before putting him away with a lariat. * ½
Randy Savage w/Sherri Martel v. Jim Londos Huge support for Londos tonight from the fans as he makes his way to ringside. Savage is simply quicker and stronger than his opponent and it shows early on. Londos shows some resilience and survives two FLYING ELBOW DROPS but cannot get any offense going whatsoever. Martel gets involved clocking Londos with her shoe at ringside. With the fans all over the referee and Martel, Savage hits a third FLYING ELBOW DROP to move on in the tournament. * ½
Bruiser Brody v. Tony Atlas Brody hits ringside with his chain swinging sending the fans running for cover. Brody is an absolute machine tonight with just one direction…forward. He batters Atlas from corner to corner with stomps, slams, punches and suplexes and then caries on with the same on the floor. Brody connects with a JUMPING KNEE DROP and moves onto the semi-finals. *
Jimmy Hart appears on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter and introduces the team that will win the PWFC Tag Team Title Tournament next card, The Global Disasters, King Kong Bundy & One Man Gang. Nearly 950 pounds of power come to the ring and both men cut promos predicting doom for the other tag teams in the PWFC. PWFC Title Tournament – Semi-Finals
Rikidozan v. Steve Williams Williams has had extensive experience in Japan and shows his respect to the Puroresu legend with a handshake. Williams wrestles a very similar match to the first round using a figure four leglock (ch) to slow down Rikidozan and then unleashing his power attack. Rikidozan manages to survive an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE. Williams later risks disqualification when he runs his opponent into the ring post but the referee lets the action continue. Williams uses a backdrop driver to set up a second OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to move to the finals. *
Randy Savage w/Sherri Martel v. Bruiser Brody Brody comes to ringside full speed again but is distracted by Martel allowing Savage to strike before the bell. This only manages to make Brody more mad and the big man from Albuquerque begins the process of battering Savage with stomps, punches and slams. A pair of twisting vertical suplexes nearly ends it and Brody just keeps on coming. Savage flees to ringside but Brody follows. Martel gets involved and jumps on Brody from behind allowing Savage to get the advantage. But the referee won’t allow the interference and Savage has been disqualified. Suddenly Jimmy Hart leads the Global Disasters back to the ring and they attack Brody. Brody gets tossed back into the ring and both men deliver a pair of splashes onto Brody before Dr. Death Steve Williams and Tony Atlas arrive with chairs in hand to break up the attack. Brody needs medical assistance to leave ringside (3 card injury) * ½
The Colony (Soldier Ant, Fire Ant & Green Ant) v. Team Extreme (Al Snow, Jerry Lynn & 2 Cold Scorpio) Great action in this one with both teams showing off their skills. Team Extreme holds the slight advantage early one until Fire Ant cleans house bring the fans to their feet. We get an Antapult on Snow which rocks the fans but the Colony cannot maintain the momentum. Green Ant gets cut off from his corner and Snow puts him away with a moonsault. **
Steve Williams is in the ring with Commissioner Charlie Cox who advises the fans that due to his injuries, Bruiser Brody has not been medically cleared to compete, therefore Steve Williams is the first PWFC champion! Cox presents Williams with the title and Williams addresses the crowd thanking them for their support. Williams then calls out Tony Atlas to ringside and then addresses Jimmy Hart the Global Disasters challenging them to a tag team match right now. The Disasters come out to answer the challenge. PWFC Champion Steve Williams & Tony Atlas v. Global Disasters (One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy) w/Jimmy Hart Williams is clearly fired up and trades blows with Gang to get things going. Williams traps Gang in a figure four leglock (ch) that has the fans roaring. Atlas is in with a big dropkick. The action goes outside and Gang runs Atlas into the ring post busting him open. The crowd is all over the referee and Hart taunts the fans from ringside. Gang then unleashes the 747 SPLASH on a bloody Atlas for the three count. * ½

Surprised to see Doc accept the PWFC belt that way without beating Brody legit, but hey what's a guy supposed to do right? I do love that Doc and Mr USA challenged the Global Disasters, LOVE the name btw, as well as the pairing, and they had a great match. I know that Doc Tony, and Bruiser are going to TRY and gain thier revenge n this huge duo. It will be fun to see if they do.

@ guiltyparty: thanks for the feedback. Bundy and Gang seemed like a good fit as the two big men in the federation. @ newog: because Williams accepted the belt and he is one of, if not the top face in the fed, I wanted to make sure he did something honourable to end the night. Sometimes the dice through you a curve ball so I wanted to make the best of it. Very happy that GD went over so they are booked strong heading into the next card.
Card 2 – PWFC Arena
Commissioner Charlie Cox comes to the ring holding the PWFC Tag Team Titles and welcomes the fans back to the PWFC Arena. He tells us that tonight six teams will compete to become the first PWFC Tag Team Champions in a single elimination tournament. Two teams have been awarded first round byes by management. He also tells the fans that Bill Apter will host a live Hot Seat interview the PWFC Champion, Dr. Death Steve Williams where we will find out who his first contender will be.
PWFC Tag Team Title Tournament – Round One
Dennis Condrey & Larry Zbyszko receive a bye
The Global Disasters (King Kong Bundy & One Man Gang) w/Jimmy Hart v. The Colony (Fire Ant & Solider Ant) Both Gang and Bundy individually outweigh the combined weight of their opponents however the courage of the Colony is legendary and they bring all their heart and soul to the ring tonight. Fire Ant is nearly counted out of the ring after Bundy drops a massif elbow onto him but he battled back and the Colony even get the upper hand against Gang at one point including impressive looking tandem diving stomps. In the end, the size advantage is just too much and Gang puts away Fire Ant with a 747 SPLASH. * ½ Billy “Red” Lyons & The Crusher receive a bye
Double Axe Attack (Larry Hennig & Curt Hennig) v. Team Extreme (Jerry Lynn & 2 Cold Scorpio) Lynn looks good against Curt Hennig and then takes the battle to Larry Hennig as well including a German Suplex followed by a DDT. Hennig is reeling but counters a bulldog throwing Lynn to the canvas and then tagging in his son who immediately strikes with a running knee life and then hooks the leg for the sudden three count. The fans are shocked at the finish and Lynn is clearly frustrated with himself and Scorpio for not attempting a pin save. dud
Green Ant v. Mr. Fuji Fuji draws some solid heat as he makes his way to the ring to face the always popular Green Ant. Fuji control the early action with slams, thrust and head butts. Ant comes back and traps Fuji in an ankle lock grapevine that forces him to the floor. Ant comes out after him and runs Fuji head first into the rails and is disqualified. Fuji tries to attack Ant after the bell but Ant is ready and both men brawl their way back to the dressing room. Dud
Bill Apter hosts the Hot Seat with PWFC Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams. Williams thanks the fans for their support and then Apter invites out Commissioner Cox for the announcement of the first contender for the Title. Suddenly, Randy Savage and Sherri Martel come out and interrupt. Savage tells everyone that he is the top contender and would be the champion right now if it was not for PWFC officials. Williams steps between Savage and Apter and Savage decks the champion knocking over Apter in the process. Savage and Martel then quickly leave ringside drawing heat. Williams gets Apter back to his feet and then grabs Cox telling him that it does not matter who he thinks is the top contender, he wants Savage next card. Williams leaves the Apter and Cox in the middle of the ring and heads to the back with the fans chanting “book the match, book the match!”
PWFC Tag Team Title Tournament – Semi Finals
Dennis Condrey & Larry Zbyszko v. The Global Disasters (King Kong Bundy & One Man Gang) w/Jimmy Hart The fans have no love for any of these competitor but really give the heat to Hart who is working it at ringside. Gang and Bundy cut off Zbyszko from the outset and work him over with tackles and slams. Bundy takes the bout to the floor and suddenly Bruiser Brody hits ringside with his chain and decks Bundy and then goes after Hart who quickly flees to the back. The referee calls for the disqualification as Brody brawls with Gang on the floor. Security is called in to break up the melee. Dud
The Crusher & Billy “Red” Lyons v. Double Axe Attack (Curt Hennig & Larry Hennig) All four of these men know each other well so the action was tightly contested throughout the match. The fans get plenty of time of Crusher brawling with The Axe which provided some excellent action. Lyons and Curt Hennig then offered up some science amidst the chaos. The end came at ringside when Larry Hennig rammed The Crusher into the ringside railing face first earning himself a disqualification. The fans hate the call and really wanted more from these two teams but Crusher and Lyons move onto the finals. * ½
Abraham Lincoln v. Tyler Black An interesting contrast in styles was next as the insanely popular Lincoln took on the highly skilled Black. Lincoln shows he can keep up with Black early on but Black has just too many weapons tonight. Back to back turnbuckle powerbombs really takes a lot out of Lincoln. Twice Lincoln is nearly counted out of the ring after dives by Black to the floor before Black finishes Lincoln with a PHOENIX SPLASH. * ½
Rikidozan v. Danny Hodge Another bout with an interest contrast in styles as the chopper faces the mat star. The story in this one was Rikidozan unleashing everything he had and Hodge just refusing to lose. Hodge took every chop, stomp and slam Rikidozan could dish out but found a way to kick out of the pin each time. At one point Hodge escaped three consecutive HIPLOCKS. THUNDEROUS CHOPS only gave Rikidozan a two count. Hodge really had nothing offensively and the onslaught could not last forever. In the end a scoop slam gave Rikidozan the win. ** ½
PWFC Tag Team Title Tournament – Finals
The Crusher & Billy “Red” Lyons v. The Global Disasters (King Kong Bundy & One Man Gang) w/Jimmy Hart The fans are all over Hart and his team as they make their way to the ring for the third time tonight. Crusher starts off against Bundy and gets the upper hand with punches and stomps that has the fans roaring. Gang tags in and the momentum evens out. Neither man can get the advantage in an exchange of forearms but Gang scores with a back drop followed by a scoop body slam. Gang quickly makes the cover and gets the three count. The fans are stunned. The Global Disasters are the first PWFC Tag Team Champions! Jimmy Hart jumps into Bundy’s arms as they celebrate in the middle of the ring while the fans jeer.

I also really like the pairing of King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang and their tag team name of the Global Disasters. With them as the first PWFC Tag Team Champions and Dr. Death as the first PWFC Champion, the PWFC is off to a great start!

@ Vegas thanks for the comments. I was happy with the way both tournaments turned out. Plenty of booking options for the next couple of cards. We will have to see what the dice have in store for the Global Disasters and Dr. Death
Card 3 – PWFC Arena The Colony (Soldier Ant & Fire Ant) v. Double Axe Attack (Curt Hennig & Larry Hennig) The Hennigs are not sure what to make of their masked opponent but agree to handshake to get things going. Larry Hennig dominates the early action with his power which leads to Curt Henning nearly putting away Fire Ant with a HENNIG PLEX but Soldier Ant makes the save starting a wild brawl that the Ants get the best of. From that point, the action is very closely contested. The fans do not get a conclusive finish however as Solider Ant takes down Curt Hennig with a cross body block deathjump that also takes out the referee earning a controversial disqualification. The fans are not pleased with the call and it is clear that the two teams wanted the action to continue as well. * ½
King Kong Bundy w/Jimmy Hart v. Billy “Red” Lyons Hart draws fantastic heat with his megaphone on the floor from an already disgruntled crowd. Lyons makes the mistake of getting in close to Bundy and this one is over before it even gets going as an eye gouge stuns Lyons and leads to an AVALANCHE. Five count and Bundy has a dominating win. Dud
Green Ant v. Mr. Fuji Last card Fuji escaped with a win via disqualification and Green Ant demanded an immediate rematch. Fuji takes control of this one from the outset and uses a series of Kamikaze clotheslines to get the pin. Ant has no offense in this one whatsoever and we have back to back squash matches. Dud
The Crusher v. One Man Gang w/Jimmy Hart Something tells me that business is about to pick up. The fans are solidly behind The Crusher and it does not take long for these two to take the action outside. The brawling is epic and Gang gets the worst of it. Crusher cracks Gang with a chairshot. Gang can barely stand when the action gets back into the ring and is busted open. With the fans roaring, Crusher stuns Gang with a figure four leglock (ch) and Gang quickly submits. An impressive win for the man who made Milwaukee famous. *
Bill Apter hots the Hotseat with guest Bruiser Brody and Brody cuts a wild promo declaring that the Global Disasters did not finish the job and now will pay the price. Brody warns them that just because Bundy & Gang compete as a tag team does not make them safe. Brody tells Apter that he does not need a tag team partner but if he has to find someone to stand in the corner while he takes care of business in the ring he will. Brody concludes that he has not forgotten about the Macho Man adding they also have some unfinished business. Al Snow v. Tyler Black The story in this one was dominating Black and Black refusing to go down. Although the action from the outset was back and forth Snow soon gained the upper hand and could not get the win even after back to back SNOW PLOWS. Snow just kept on his opponent including a pair of powerbombs that shook ringside. Black survived yet another SNOW PLOW but Snow finally put him way with three consecutive SNOW PLOWS to earn a hard fought win. ***
Team Extreme (Jerry Lynn & 2 Cold Scorpio) v. Dennis Condrey & Larry Zbyszko Team Extreme have the fans behind them from the outset as Zbyszko works the fans for heat with great success. The action in the ring was excellent in this one with plenty of back and forth exchanges. Lynn was cut off for a while but Scorpio lead his team back including a pair of Tumbleweeds on Condrey. Later Lynn planted Zbyszko with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER and the fans thought it was over but the referee only counted to two. Zbyszko was then able to use his own PILEDRIVER on Lynn for a near fall. The end came when Zbyszko trapped Lynn in the ropes and punished him with first. The referee moved in and Zbyszko shoved the official to the mat and earned himself a disqualification. Scorpio quickly arms himself with a chair and comes to his partner’s aid as Zbyszko and Condrey make their way to the back. (Zbyszko is suspended for 1 card by Commissioner Cox) ***
“Mr. USA” Tony Atlas v. Rikidozan We get a great USA chant to get things going and Rikidozan is not impressed. Rikidozan shows off his skills early on and really takes the fight to Atlas with chops and slams. Atlas is able to counter a backdrop with a piledriver and makes his comeback leading to a PRESS SLAM AND SPLASH but can only get a two count. Rikidozan counters his way back on top and the action moves in and out of the ring. Rikidozan runs Atlas head first into the steel rails by the fans and is disqualified. Rikidozan carries on the attack after the bell but Atlas comes back and chases Rikidozan to the back. * ½
PWFC Champion Steve Williams v. Randy Savage w/Sheri Martel The crowd is going nuts as the bell sounds and this one gets underway. Savage uses his speed to cause the champions some trouble early on but Williams avoids a rope straddle and begins his assault on the Macho Man. Williams scores a two count with a German suplex and a lariat nearly turns Savage inside out. The action goes to the floor and both men tear up ringside. The referee has lost control and calls for a double disqualification as both men continue to brawl until security arrives to pull them apart. **

Card 4 – PWFC Arena
The Hotseat with Bill Apter opens the night and Commissioner Charlie Cox is the guest. Cox has a new title belt with him and announces that in addition to the PWFC Tag Team Titles being on the line later tonight, we are going to determine a new Junior Heavyweight Champion as well. Cox tells Apter that the tournament gets underway right now and will feature four men in a single elimination format.
Junior Heavyweight Title Tournament – Semi-Finals
Jim Londos v. Tyler Black Londos has the fans support tonight but struggles with Black’s offensive attack. Londos goes into survival mode on the floor reversing an Irish whip and sending Black into the post. Londos uses a sleeper grip to send Black to the floor again and this time both men mix it up at ringside but Black decides to clock Londos across the back with a chairshot and earns a disqualification. Londos is able to recover and brawls his way with Black to the dressing room. Dud
Danny Hodge v. Abraham Lincoln The fans are on their feet for both men during the introductions. A handshake gets the bout underway. A great exchange of counters starts the action but Hodge soon shows his dominance with a pair of standing dropkicks. Hodge targets the leg with back to back Indian Deathlocks that forces Lincoln to the floor. Hodge comes out to the floor and both man tangle. It looks like both men might be counted out but Hodge slides under the ropes while Lincoln sore leg prevents him from doing so and he is counted out of the ring. * The Colony (Soldier Ant & Fire Ant) v. Double Axe Attack (Curt Hennig & Larry Hennig) These two teams were given plenty of the time and the action was very closely contested. Despite their size disadvantage, the Colony were able to control a great deal of the action with their speed and double teaming including an impressive Ants Go Marching on Larry Hennig. Later Soldier Ant nearly ends it when he catches Curt Hennig with a TKO. This one ends up on the floor where Soldier Ant runs Curt Hennig face first into the rails and is disqualified. The fight continues after the bell with the Hennig family getting the upper hand until Green Ant arrives and the Double Axe Attack retreats to the back. There appears to be some unresolved tension between these two groups that will have to be soon addressed by promoters. ***
PWFI Tag Team Title Match – Global Disasters (One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy) (ch) w/Jimmy Hart v. The Crusher & Billy “Red” Lyons There was an intensity at ringside as the teams came to the ring. Crusher was cut off early on but manages to get the defensive tag to Lyons who dropkicked his way into control of One Man Gang. Crusher tagged back in for a CRUSHER BOLO that would have ended the match but Jimmy Hart was able to get on the apron and cause a distraction. Hart dropped his megaphone into the ring and Gang clocked Crusher busting him open. Bundy tagged in and took the action to the floor running an already bloody Crusher into the ringside railing. The referee called for the disqualification. It looks like Bundy and Gang would put a beating on their opponents when Bruiser Brody arrives with his chain to break things up and send the Tag Team Champions fleeing to the back. ** ½
2 Cold Scorpio v. Dennis Condrey The fans are solidly behind Scorpio as this one gets underway but it is Condrey he gets the early advantage with a full nelson suplex (ch) and then works his way towards a FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP for a two count. Condrey then hits a second FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP to get the three count. (dud)
Mr. Fuji v. Bruiser Brody Brody hits the ring and the fans are fired up. Fuji is forced to bail to the floor after a Bruiser Backbreaker and Brody comes out after him. Fuji runs Brody shoulder first into the steel post but cannot capitalize on the advantage. A twisting vertical suplex downs Fuji and Brody plants his opponent with back to back piledrivers and then hooks the leg for the three count. *
Junior Heavyweight Title Tournament – Finals
Jim Londos v. Danny Hodge A handshake gets things underway the fans settle in for a mat classic. Hodge holds the advantage early on showing some solid countering skills. The action goes to the floor a couple of times without too much of a breakdown but it does allow Londos a catch his breath and he begins to show some of his own skills to the fans. Londos is able to use a series of running shoulders (ch) to take control and then uses a crotch lift and slam to set up an AIRPLANE SPIN. The fans thought it was over but Hodge kicked out of the cover at 2. Londos would not be denied tonight as he continued to keep on his opponent using another crotch lift and slam to set up a second AIRPLANE SPIN. This time Londos got the three count and claimed the title. **
Rikidozan & Randy Savage w/Sherri Martel v. PWFC Champion Steve Williams & “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas The fans are on fire during the introductions and we get Williams v. Savage right out of the gate and they tear into each other. Savage gets the upper hand and lands a FLYING ELBOW DROP but can only get a two count. We then get Rikidozan against Atlas for a few minutes with Atlas tossing around his opponent much to the delight of the fans. Williams gets into trouble against Rikidozan and takes a serious beating. Three times Rikidozan has Williams to the mat with a HIPLOCK and each time Williams finds a way to kick out at the last second. Macho Man is back in and is going to finish a bloody Williams but Dr. Death manages to roll clear of Savage’s deathjump and Savage crashes to the mat in a heap. Williams hooks the leg for two and then tags out to Atlas. Atlas mounts the corner for his own deathjump but Savage catches him and tosses him to the mat. Macho Man then mounts the corner and lands a FLYING ELBOW DROP for the win while Williams is down and out on the floor and cannot prevent the pinfall. *** ½

Just read the first four shows. Good stuff.
Londos winning the Jr. title was cool and the Brody/Global Disasters program would have been something to see IRL!

@ Aceldamas: thanks for posting. Londos’ win was a pleasant surprise as I really thought Hodge would have no trouble with him whatsoever. Hodge is going to take on Tyler Black on my next card in a number one contenders match the winners facing Londos on Card 6 The Brody v. Disasters feud is inspired by an old PWI magazine I came across with Brody working over Gang in the corner with a chain inside a steel cage! With some luck from the dice, I will be able to book that very match as the blow off to the feud. Watch for Brody to face Bundy first in a singles match. If Brody gets through Bundy he can then move onto Gang. I am also trying to decide who should team Brody against the Disasters. Who will trust the ultimate loner? Jimmy Hart may need some more bodies to put in Brody’s way.
@ mwjergs: Thanks for following along. I am counting on Savage v. Williams on having some legs. They will headline my next card and are clearly the top face and top heel in the PWFC right now. .
