Thanks again for all your comments. I'm glad you are enjoying reading my fed.WWA #12
Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles
---We start our show with
Red Bastien in the ring. He calls out
The Sheik for several minutes but gets no response. Suddenly, the curtains part and out walks the Sheik's nephew,
Sabu. Sabu stalls before getting into the ring but when he does, it's clear this is all a set-up. Sheik emerges from the back with
Kevin Sullivan following closely behind and blindsides Bastien w/ his sharpened foreign object. Bastien is almost instantly wearing the proverbial crimson mask as the mugging continues as Sabu and Sullivan prevent several wrestlers and security from breaking up the beating in the ring.
The crowd is in a near riot as Bastien eats not one but two FIREBALLS before local police are called in. Sheik gets pepper sprayed and then gets tazed before police can get handcuffs on the Syrian madman. All three rudos are cuffed and escorted to the back. In the meantime, Bastien who hasn't moved in several minutes, is stretchered out of the Auditorium and taken to a nearby hospital.
---It takes almost 30 minutes for the crowd to settle down before we can get out next match underway. It ended up being a MOTY candidate as
Antonio Rocca faced
Johnny Valentine. One of the promoters must have whispered in Johnny's ear not to do anything heelish as Valentine fought a hard, clean match with no shortcuts or illegal moves. Rocca controlled early and nearly won with a series of Flying Dropkicks. Valentine fought his way back and got nearfalls after hitting Rocca with a Backbreaker and a Forearm Hammer.
Rocca turned the tide with his agility advantage and attempted to haul Valentine up for the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER but Johnny grabbed the ropes and flipped Rocca to the floor. Rocca crashed hard into the security railing, hitting his head in the process. Unfortunately, Rocca could not beat the 20-count, giving Johnny Valentine the win by COUNT-OUT.
---Our
Tag Team Power Series offering saw
Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry def.
Gorgeous George/Bobby Shane after Curry knocks Shane nearly unconscious w/ the RIGHT HAND PUNCH. Firpo/Curry go 2-0 in the TTPS.
Later in the week, WWA officials announced the
WWA tag titles will be decided in a
3-Team Round Robin tournament. The 3 teams will comprise of the 3 team with the best records in the TTPS. So far, the
Fantastics and the
Hamilton Wrecking Crew are in. Firpo/Curry will meet
The Destroyer/Don Leo Jonathan next week and if Firpo/Curry win, they will be the 3rd team. Officials announced if that happened then the Round Robin will start on
Card #15. If Firpo/Curry lose, then the TTPS will continue until a team reaches 3 wins.
---Speaking of
The Destroyer, he faced
Ilio DiPaolo in our next match. Handshakes started the match but Destroyer wrestled aggressively throughout the entire match. The finish saw Destroyer toss Ilio to the floor and hold the ropes for him to re-enter the ring. However, Destroyer clipped DiPaolo's knee as DiPaolo was coming through the ropes, leading to Destroyer locking in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to get the win.
Afterwards, Destroyer went over and apologized for his actions as there were some boos from the crowd when Destroyer's hand was raised.
---
Tony Atlas is not a man to take lightly as
Greg Valentine found out in our next match. Greg gained an early advantage but arrogantly smacked Atlas in the face. Atlas retaliated by crushing Greg with a huge Clothesline which leads into the PRESS SLAM & SPLASH for the finish, giving Atlas the win.
---Our
Main Event saw
Pepper Gomez/The Crusher face old rivals
Ray Stevens/Nick Bockwinkel. The two teams put on a great back and forth match. All four hit their finishers sometime during the match but pin saves saw the match continue. Bock locked Gomez in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and Gomez fought his way over to make the tag to the Crusher....or so we thought.
Stevens distracted the referee before the tag was made and quickly pointed out Crusher entering the ring. As the ref hustled Crusher from the ring, Stevens landed his BOMBS AWAY finisher across Gomez' knee/leg. Pepper quickly submitted soon after as Bock/Stevens claimed the tainted win. Gomez had to be helped to the back by Crusher who promised retribution on the dastardly duo.

Card #13 will feature
Rikidozan facing
Freddie Blassie in a return bout from
Card #10. That match saw Blassie walk away from the match, giving it to Dozan by COUNT-OUT. Will Blassie continue to frustrate Dozan with his antics or will the Japanese legend finally get the win he so desperately craves?
Also, on the card,
Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry will face
The Destroyer/Don Leo Jonathan in the TTPS. If Firpo/Curry win they will be named the 3rd team in
WWA tag title 3-Team Round Robin Tournament.
Also, an appearance by everyone's favorite 'rowdy' masked man, the
Masked Canadian.
