Card #7 AWA Tag Team Championship Match The Briscos vs. Powers of Pain Hercules vs. Power Warrior Jeff Jarrett vs. Blade Runner Flash Verne Gagne reacts to Jerry Lawler’s demand Greg Gagne vs. Colonel Debeers
Results: Greg Gagne defeats Colonel Debeers via small package at 8:58. Colonel Debeers dominated the smaller Gagne. He had many opportunities to finish Gagne off but each time Debeers would pull Gagne’s shoulders off the mat to prolong the punishment. After doing it at one particular time, Debeers tried to pick Gagne up for a bodyslam but Gagne surprised him with a small package for the win.
Verne Gagne addressed the audience concerning Jerry Lawler’s statements from the previous card. He said that due to interference during the match, it was not a clean loss. Therefore Von Erich still has a chance for a title shot. Gagne says that Lawler and One Man Gang will wrestle Von Erich and partner of Von Erich’s choice. If Von Erich’s team wins then Von Erich will get a title shot. This tag match will take place as the main event at Supercard #1!
Jeff Jarrett defeats Blade Runner Flash via Flying Bodypress at 4:32. Jarrett, despite being smaller, used his wrestling experience to stay one step ahead of the much greener Blade Runner Flash. Flash made numerous mistakes which Jarrett capitalized on every time and secured the win. Things just don't seem to be going right for the Blade Runners.
Hercules defeats Power Warrior via Backbreaker Rack at 8:02. Power Warrior had control throughout the match. Unfortunately, the tides turned when the referee got knocked out. When Power Warrior went to revive the referee, Hercules grabbed his chain from his corner and hit Power Warrior in the back of the head. He then scooped up Power Warrior and hit the Backbreaker Rack just as the referee came to. Hercules left the ring smiling to a chorus of boos from the crowd.
The Briscos defeat Powers of Pain via Figure four leglock at 10:42. In the main event, the AWA Tag Titles were up for grabs. The Powers of Pain came out dominating the Briscos in the early going with their powerful arsenal. Despite this, the Powers of Pain were no match for the technical prowess of the Briscos nor their experience. Jack and Jerry cut the ring in half focusing on the Barbarian’s right leg before securing the victory with a figure four. The Briscos are the new AWA Tag Team Champions!
